Really cute design, and technically it mostly fits, but it gives me the oddest shape. The outer halves of the cups are shallow and quite strong, flattening the sides of my breasts and shoving everything toward the center in an unnaturally streamlined sort of way. Near the center gore, the cups are a bit too close together for me and are much deeper than the outer sides of the cups. Most of my breast tissue ends up there, making me look as if the outer halves of my breasts don't exist. I look down and it's like the bra is trying to push my whole bosom almost into a V-shape. Not at all a natural or attractive look when viewed from the front, although it looks fine in profile.
Band is quite firm. I tried a 32E first, but it was painfully tight.
The good things about this bra: Love the color (yellow with a pink center bow), and the fabric is extremely soft mesh, probably the best I've felt in a bra so far. The embroidery detail at the top of the cups is very cute, yet doesn't show through clothes. I love the 3-part construction in the cups, it gives support without adding any extra layers. I find this bra very comfortable, no poking or pinching anywhere.
The not so-good things: I have the wrong size. I'm on the smallest hook at this point, and the back rides up constantly. I wore it on the ...second hook when it was new, so I probably should go down a band size. More annoying though, is the quad-boob effect. The lacey top part of the cup has no stretch, so it cuts in and looks not cute. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> While I still wear this bra (almost everyday), I should definitely go up a cup size (technically two if I go down a bandsize as well)
I've had this bra about 6 months, and it's stood up to a lot of wear and tear thus far. The band has stretched out a little bit, but all other parts have retained their quality. I'd buy it again, obviously in a different size. Read more 123 more words
I was unsure of my size, so I ordered this bra in 34D (sister size to my usual 28F) and 34DD (sister size to 28FF), 34 bands due to availability, meaning to alter them down. After trying the bras on, I was still unsure which fit better, so I just kept them both. I still haven´t actually worn them a whole day/night, just tried on. I was waiting till I wore them both more to write reviews, but heck, the reviews have been waiting long enough!
review for 34DD: it feels as good on as the 34D, no quading, all good, but in the pics I see that I ...have "orange in the glass" going on. Meaning that the cups collapse, I don´t fill them at the bottom. When I pull the cups up with my hands, they look good. So theoretically I think it can be worn with the straps to get a good fit. Gore is the same in this size: floats a bit at the bottom, but elsewhere tacks.
(review for 34Dhttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Now that I took pictures, I can see that 34D (28F) is better size for me. It looks like I fill the cups completely, there´s no quadboob, and wires sit comfortably. The center gore floats a bit at the very bottom, but tacks elsewhere. I have shallow, wide boobs with tall roots. So if you have similar shape and also have troubles finding strapless bras that won´t cut in at the top, this might be for you!)
For me this bra's wires are borderline wide enough, and they probably wouldn't be sitting properly outside of my breast tissue if the gore wasn't just a touch too wide. The band is firm and a bit tight. Since there's no padding, through a shirt I look about the same as I did in my way too small moulded/padded bras. I find it comforting that I don't suddenly look like I got surgery. Admittedly, it's weird being able to feel through my bra though.
Edit: After a few weeks of wear and some slight bending to the underwires, the fit has improved.
Easy to wear, wireless - some might call it a bralette - but in my size & shape (wide set, shallow roots) it's structured enough to give OK support. Unsurprisingly, because there is little structure & lots of stretch, the sides buckle a bit. Doesn't flatten shape like most bralettes, gives nice rounded uplift
Band: Continuous stretch mesh with elastic at top of band Wing support: FIRM seaming Back close with 3 columns of hooks Fit: Length good but wing height too short
Gore: Comfortable, tacks, almost too close together
Cups: 3 piece, balconette made of non-stretch mesh lined with a soft non-stretch mesh Unpadded underwire Gives a pleasantly round, slightly projected shape Fit: Wire sits on axillary breast tissue and gaps at top of cup (likely too projected for my shape)
Straps: ridged elastic, full adjust, leotard back
Fit under clothing: Nearly invisible under tight tee. Not visible under v-neck. Visible under tank.
About me: petite with wide horizontal oval, slightly conical breasts * average projection * wide-set (3 fingers width of ...space between breasts) * very wide roots (extend past the mid-axillary line) * short roots * even horizontal fullness (just barely outer full) * mix of firm & soft tissue (front molds to shape of bra, sides push wimpy wires away) * conical shape (but will squish to round) * full on top (2/4 shape, not even or very full) - BUT functionally even to FOB due to short roots and soft tissue * petite (5'3") so have narrow frame Read more 73 more words
I love Neves a lot! They make such a round shape with nice cleavage. This bra is altered and came without straps. The band is quite snug and has silicone at the top and bottom edges. Front part of the band is padded, back part is mesh. It gives enough support, and it is quite comfortable. The cups are made of pink lining and black mesh over it. They are wide and shallow, the wires go to the middle of my armpits and I don't fill the cups in their side parts, but this is not a problem if I wear the bra without straps. And I will wear the bra without straps, as their placement is very uncomfortable for me.
This bra is obviously the wrong size for me. I tried a sister sizes in band 30 and it fit so much better. The cups of this particular bra flared outwards, no idea why.
I purchased this because I own a Lucy in 32E and find it a little tight - fit for this is the same, except the band is looser so it's a bit more comfortable. Good fit!
This bra fits really well. I find the cups have more projection than most 34DDs I've tried and goves a nice rounded shape. It work really well with my short roots, no gaping at the top. It's just too bad it's been discontinued.
I got a good deal on this bra on eBay, so I was hoping it ran tight enough in the band to size up to a 34. Nope. I can stretch it pretty far off my back and it rides up pretty quickly. The width seems okay, and I fill the bottom of the cups well enough, but the lace wrinkles a lot on the top. The gore also hurts my sternum after just a short wear, so I may pass this one on. I'd like to try it in a 32DD, because I do like the lifted, round shape it gives me, and maybe bend the gore a little to see if that helps, otherwise this bra may just not be for me. Too bad, because it's super cute .
The cup width on this is perfect for me but I am a little too shallow on top to get the lace to lie flat unless I push my shoulders all the way back. The gaping of the top lace doesn't show through shirts though, so it's not a huge problem. I have even fullness and this is supposed to be for full on top ladies so I'm surprised it doesn't gape more.
The band is way tighter than I am used to. My snug measurement is 34 inches and I have to wear this with an extender or else my back will bulge like I have an extra ...pair of boobs hanging out back there. I still have a little bit of bulge action even with the extender but it is much less dramatic.
The gore poked the everloving hell out of me. It left red angry marks on my chest and I had to use all of my self control to keep myself from sticking my hand down my shirt in public to pull it away from me. I've heard that this is not a unique problem and that eventually it would loosen up or I could bend it if I wanted to. I tried to bend the wires at the gore but I didn't notice them being particularly able to be bent. It seemed to just go back to the shape it was before I tried to bend it. However, I will say that after two weeks of daily wear, the gore feels fine. It's no longer an issue.
Also, the straps seem to be a bit too far apart for me. I have them overtightened a bit and now they don't fall down but they do like to go right to the edge and pretend like they're about to fall down at any moment. Read more 198 more words
Everything about this bra is perfect except that the cups are just slightly too far apart, but since it's the closest I've tried to being correct, it's the one I'll wear for now. Where other bras have left me with a "pointy" side profile, this one gives a nice round shape.
The quality is perfect, the lace feels nice and doesn't look cheap, like I noticed with so many other bras in when you see them in the real world. Only drawback: The underwire is about 1,5cm shorter than the wire channel, so the wire either pokes in the armpit or the top of the center gore doesn't lie flat. Sadly, because of my wide root I had to sister size up, in 32E the cups sat awesome, now I have a little gaping at the top lace.
So this is the first properly fitted bra I got at a specialty store. It's a bit too tight for my liking, but I was told thats due to the fact that I was a 38 size band for my entire life.
It fits fine, it's just not as pretty as I was hoping for. The lace is somewhat frumpy because it isn't very delicate; it would probably look better if it weren't the exact same color as the bra.
A perfect fit, the longline offers great support and doesn't roll up thanks to the plastic side bones. Delightful colours and materials. I just love it ! It can be a little rigid and dig in the underchest when you have to sit down for a long time, but I have worn it during a day long walk and it was really comfortable.
I have this bra and love it. The side view seems there's a little top spillage. Do you think one cup up and two band sizes down would be better? I'd keep an eye out for 30F or 30FF in Cleo balconnets.
