I tried this bra on a whim. I have a super short torso, and have never really given longlines a second glance, but with a color this pretty I couldn't resist at least trying... Plus my size was on Amazon so it was risk free!
First, the good: the color is gorgeous! It's a nice saturated cobalt blue. The eyelash lace is a nice touch. The straps are padded between the shoulder and cup (but this makes them only half adjustable).
Now, the bad: This didn't fit me at all. The band was huge. I could fasten it on the tightest hooks right out of the package; the stretched ...measurement is 39" on this 34GG! I actually double checked several times to make sure Amazon sent me the right size. I usually don't have an issue with Panache/Cleo bands, if anything they're usually too tight (I'm between 32 and 34), this was much looser than normal. It mostly stayed put due to being a longline, but definitely would've had issues were it a regular bra.
The cups were either a smidge too small or possibly the wrong shape. I couldn't get the wire to stay in my IMF, it felt like it was floating down a bit, plus I got noticeable quadboob on both sides. I think a bigger cup would've helped, maybe... But with the lack of proper tension from the loose band and the way the cup is shaped (NOT good for FOT ladies!) it was tough to judge. The gore tacked just fine, go figure. I kept trying to hike it up to get my boobs to settle into the cups, but it just wasn't working for me.
The wires are at least 1/2" shorter than their channels, which makes the wings do an uncomfortable pokey maneuver in my armpit. Despite the side stays and the band of elastic along the front, the section with the eyelash lace kept rolling up while I was standing still (not sitting or even walking).
There also seem to be some quality control issues. In addition to the very stretchy band, the lace had several runs/pulls/bobbles and there were loose threads attached all over the cup seams (see pics).
Despite how lovely this bra is, I'll be sending it back. Read more 271 more words
The Cleo Hettie in 34GG is the closest I've found yet to a bra that fits, but it's not quite perfect for me.
The band is perfectly snug on the loosest hooks (only 2 x 3 rows, but felt fine).
The straps are long enough for me (but I'm pretty short at 5'4 so check the photo of the back to see how much adjustment you may get). However the straps are set too wide for me (as always with my 11.5" frame width) and they cut into my TOS/tissue too much unless I'm only standing with my shoulders back and not moving at all. I ...could see about getting them moved in; I think I'd want to also reduce the height of the side panels. (Correction: it's not really the side height that's an issue Upon closer look it's only where the strap meets the wing that digs in.)
The gore tacks great! It's significantly taller than what I'm used to (been wearing plunges) so that would take some getting used to.
The cups are ACTUALLY NARROW enough for me. (A first after trying about 12 "narrow" bras!)
The cup tops fit my larger breast pretty well (but over a few minutes it did start to show a bit of gaping) and there is space at the top of the smaller breast (enough that I'd need a cookie). The cup bottoms both have some wrinkling. (Still trying to determine if that's a wire projection deficiency or some other shape/size issue; I do have mild ptosis and I'm trying Polish bras next.) I don't think I can get alterations to deal with the wire gap and I'm concerned that over time it would press into my rib flares, so I think it's not a close enough fit to keep.
The seams and upper gap do show a bit under a shirt, but I'd still wear it.
Overall I'm really impressed, it's just not my unicorn. Read more 214 more words
Wires are too narrow and cup was just slightly too big. The straps were wide, making the top outside edge of the bra cut right into my armpits. The color (jade) was beautiful and it felt well made. The band only had 2 rows of hooks, I really prefer 3.
I am close set, center and top full, projected, wide roots.
Purchased around 2014/2015. LOVE this bra. So disappointed it’s been discontinued. Gave me the shape I wanted (round, high set, kept within the rib cage frame. Not cone shaped, not splaying out towards my arms, not sitting lower down my torso.) Gave me the support I needed (boobs standing up high and tight, the straps are thicker, but not scaffolding. The cups didn’t fold under the pressure. I wasn’t afraid of bouncy castles. I never had to adjust the band throughout the day.) Was cute while also casual enough to daily wear (I had the blue colorway, no lace on the edges. A pop of color was new for my lingerie drawer.) Looked great and smooth under T shirts while also low cut enough to wear with V-Necks. (No lace peeking up over necklines!!!)
Now that I’ve gained weight, I am spilling over the top so badly it’s unusable. But this was my daily wear for yearsssss.
Oh Cleo Juna how I just wish you would fit... I love the look of this bra, but I know it's a bit too shallow for me. But, I wear it anyway becasue I love it. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> The band has lots of stretch it seems, as I can wear it on the tightest hook straight away, although this was not reflected when I took the bra measurements? It is molded, but the molding is soft and comfortable and gives a nice rounded shape. One of my favorites despite being a bit too shallow.
I love the look of this bra. It's purple! It's got stretch lace across the top and the materials are nice. If it fit, I would like it a lot. I was looking for something with enough depth that would stay in my IMF. I thought I might try altering it with narrower wires based upon some suggestions from people here. Unfortunately, after wearing this for a less than an hour, I knew it wouldn't work. It had already been pushed out of my IMF and the wire was sitting on my ribs. I went with the 34 and it was tight, but maybe that is a good thing. One thing with Cleo bras is that the straps are never quite long enough for me. The underwire is way way too long. The gore came up almost above where my boobs sit. And they came way up into the middle of my arm pit. It didn't bother me, but looked a bit odd. Guess I'll return this and keep looking.
I'm FOB, pendulous, and narrower than I thought as these cups may be a bit wide for me. The extra width might be working in my favor here because the Juna feels and looks like I'm finally getting sufficient immediate projection, yet it's described as shallow. On top I am rather empty - does that go hand-in-hand with pendulosity? So I fill the cup but the lace top trim is essentially flapping in the wind. I think about cutting off the lace every time I wear it, but worry I might need the height - it is definitely a half-cup on me. The plan is to tuck ...and sew the outer lace corners down into the cup to pull-in the extra. Now that the band has stretched a little, the 34GG is fairly comfortable for most of the month and I get a forward, rounded shape, except where the lace sticks out. The high gore is perfect for me - it sits against my breastbone but does not dig in. Also straps are not spaced too far apart, a recurring balconnet problem of mine.
I have the 36GG in black, one of my first new bra size online purchases. I thought it was the loveliest bra and far better-designed/made than anything I owned to date. It was padded, but still felt kind of sexy. Of course the 36GG doesn't fit at all - nor does the equally adored black Tutti Rouge Liliana 36GG which arrived in the same package. My point is I don't feel passionate at all about the nude Juna - it's a padded, beige bra, and after I fix the lace I will be able to wear it under tshirts as well as my one white blouse. The beige color fabric reminds me of pancake make-up, flat and heavy. That said, it's not a bad skin tone match on me.
Lastly, it feels sturdy. I suspect it will last for years. Read more 217 more words
The only surprise to me was the shape. The sides of the bra really pull the breast in and out front, so it creates a "pointier" shape in front. It's not bad, it just depends on what you want.
This bra is my unicorn bra. It fits perfectly on me- the wires are where they're meant to be, the gore is flat, there's no wrinkling anywhere. I wish I had more, and that it had come in beige. I need beige.
The Cleo Lucy in 34GG is one of my best fitting bras. I do have a few minor issues, and one major one. After hours of wearing, the underwire pokes and rubs uncomfortably under my arms. I wind up with sores, it's not fun. The cups are a little wide in front, but it does not bother me when wearing. I could probably go down one cup size, while there is not wrinkling I do have a bit of extra fabric on top. I do really like the cup width and the base of the cups fit very nicely around my breasts. The black lace is nice looking and sexy. This bra has been used but is in excellent shape.
I tried this on recently at Bravissimo but it felt cheap and poorly made. Also it didn't give me much projection or lift at all. It gave a deflated silhouette and very east west shape from the front. v disappointing ;( I have full, wide, short roots and splayed, I think because their so full at the sides.
If I lift my arms up my left boob looks a bit like its trying to escape at the center.. and a little wrinkling of the bottom of the cup but my right boob was totally fine and encased by the cup. The band felt too tight and like it would get sore the longer I wore it, but that's the size I was recommended to get by the sales assistant despite having a 35 inch back.. my current 34G bras are actually leaving my back with red marks that scar and are v sore.. I think I need a 36GG or maybe even a 34H (although I'm worried that the cup might be too big) but they didn't have those sizes for me to try ;(
When I opened the package, I was disappointed. The color is totally different from its promo pictures. I saw a pastel blue bra with coral details but what I got was a greyish purple bra with neon orange detailes https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Especially the trim below the band was too bright and neon. What a shame. So I took it off (You can see it on my pictures)
And about the fit and size... It is a bit different too from what I expected. I thought it was totally forgiving but it is not. I shoul have opted my usual panache size for a better fit. Oh, and the band is loose. If you are between size, pick the smaller one.
(This review is for the 'Strawberry' colour) This is a great everyday bra, the seams and lace aren't too noticeable under a tight top. Material is soft and smooth, and a lovely colour (bright pink). The lace doesn't quite lay flat for me (reading other reviews, it seems it doesn't for anyone really!) and is a tiny bit shallow at the bottom of the cup, but not enough to be uncomfortable. I will definitely be buying this bra in the other colours too.
It did fit at least when I bought it. My boobs have grown for the last few months, now I wear 34hh or 34j... I'm very depressed because I appreciated this vertical seamed, padded half cup bra with tremendously cute prints.
if you look closely, lots of amazon bras have free returns. So its a pretty risk-free way to try on bras. in tons of sizes
