This is my favorite bra for fit, except.... With Cleo’s, you really need to size up one band size or use expanders. When sizing up or using an expander, it then move the straps out to an uncomfortable width. The 36 futs me best everywhere except in the actual band size. So, I wish all other measurements (cup depth, height, center gore, etc) stayed the same but the band was lengthened. Cleo’s don’t seem to fit the same as Panaches’s. I prefer the unlined cups and they are quite comfortable, no itchy or scratchy after the first couple washes. I am so sad that this bra is now discontinued and purchased it in every sister size I could lay my hand on in late 2018.
Comfortable for about a month, then suddenly the cups were too small. Beautiful materials and construction, will have to buy another in a bigger cup size!
Love this bra! Can't believe how high it gets my boobs! Magic! Also how cute it is!
Straps are borderline too short. I have to size up in the band in Cleo to get a comfortable fit. Of course I wish it had 3 columns of hooks, but it's firm enough even in a 38 to stay in place.
My go-to for looks -- not comfort.
Update a year+ later, I still love it, just now graduated to the 2nd set of hooks even though lots of wear.
Only issue with Cleo is the top lace panel is not sewn to the same tightness as the bottom of the cup, meaning ...a seam line is readily apparent, total bummer.
2-year update: still own, wear and love this bra. Lengthened the straps. Band still fits great because of weight gain. Am in between cups in cleo so these are loose on top by the end of the day, even though I took in the top lace on my smaller side.
Have begun to crack the code on why panache fits and feels the way it does: their wires are of a guage like 8x heavier than any other brand's. No wonder they are so uncomfortable! and support so well!
3 year update: am finally retiring this bra, have repurchased in the same size and am using this one as a sewing pattern. Just wanted to note that in 3 years of heavy wear I went from an extender to just the last set of hooks, never stretched more than that (caveat i did gain some weight in that time period, my UB went up .5"). So: wow on that sturdy elastic, Cleo, and here's to the power of washing your bra every few wears and gently. Read more 182 more words
I love the shape of this bra, although my band is too big, the cups fit fine maybe a tad small. I'm wanting to try the 36G but I'm nervous that the cups will be too big. The quality seems great and it's lasted me a long time. (about 3 years now) Love the purple plaid color too. You can see the seams through a t shirt though.
Fits great - a little bit of extra space at the bottom of the cups, but not enough to be a real issue. Occasionally the bottom of the bra will roll up a bit when I sit, but still comfy.
The cups are a little too shallow for me and don't have the immediate projection I need. The band is a bit too loose overall, but wearable around for short periods before it rides up. The straps are kind of pathetic. They hold the bra up the right ammount but always fold in half or thirds and dig in like crazy. I had red marks from them for 3+ days after one long day.
I got this Lucy very cheap on eBay and wasn't expecting much. Band is too loose and doesn't handle the weight of my boobs well, but still cuts in on my sides. Cups do not have enough immediate projection for me. The sides are too short and dig in even though a lot of my tissue escapes. This is one of my go-tos for lounging and not moving much.
This band is still very snug even though I've owned this bra for a couple of years. Cups fit well and center gore is fine, but the wires are just too narrow and constantly poke me.
Band is firm. Cannot fill top of cups and my tissue is too soft to stay towards the top of the cup so I have to readjust often. Wires aren't night enough on the sides to hold in all my tissue. Gore is too narrow so there is gaping there too. Thought there are lots of issues the bra still gives a smooth shape under clothes.
I like this bra, even though it's not quite projected enough with minor wrinkling at the bottom of the cup. Shape is OK, but not perfect for me. Much better than the molded Deco, though. It definitely stretches out in the band over time, but still fits on the tightest hook after a year or so. Slight quad boob when I push my shoulders way back, but not in normal postures. Poked my armpits a little, but OK for the most part.
I really had high hopes for this finally being *my* Cleo (aka the first Cleo that fits me right)! Alas, that does not see to be the case for me.
As I am new to the bra world, I am sort of self-diagnosing my issues with this bra. Firstly let me mention that this bra does a FANTASTIC job of pushing all my breast tissue forward. This does not work well for me, as I am wider splayed and I have a size difference between my breasts. What I've found is that with all that tissue pushed forward, the size difference between my breasts is HUGELY noticeable. It literally ...looks to me like my larger breast is sticking out a half an inch more than my other breast. Besides this, everything feels squeezed in too much. The wires aren't wide enough for me, which squeezes everything forward even more, and almost feels suffocating.
One good thing is that there is no gaping or wrinkles on the cup, which were my problems with the other Cleo bras that I have tried. The band fits well too, as I found that my normal size (36) was just TOO small for Cleos. I sized up a band and down a cup size for this fit.
Edit: I think that next time I should also size up another cup size. 38FF might have been a better choice. *Adding this into my review for my own records for my next Cleo adventure. Read more 138 more words
Boy I wish my boobs could accommodate the wires on this bra because its beautiful and the projection is great!! Even though this bra is not supposed to fit someone with lower fullness, I think I filled it out nicely. Very little gaping at the top. But...and this is a big but, the underwires are tortuous to me!! I thought going up a cup size from a 38e to a 38 F would help and it did some but still those underwires pressed into the side of my boob driving me crazy. Now, I did find if I used and extender, it helped immensely so all is not list. I will wear this bra but I don't see it as a daily workhorse for me.
This is a good bra for my boobs: the wires are pretty wide, the more closed top worked with my full on bottom breasts, and it gave a very flattering, round shape. However, it didn't work with the rest of me. The wire was too short and it poked into my armpit chub that spilling over the sides. I suspect I need bras that have higher wings.
It's a lovely bra. It's made out of a soft breathable mesh. I got the navy colorway with pink embroidery and it is very cute. It's very spring-y and the flowers make for a nice contrast. (The embroidery does not show up much under clothes either.
First of all, this is a very pretty bra. It's a gorgeous cherry red.
The Marcie gives a really nice rounded shape that looks great under a t-shirt. The lace wrinkled a tiny bit on the top for me because I have a full on bottom shape, but it didn't show under a t-shirt. The band is very snug on this bra. It fit me fine but others might need a bra extender. The mesh fabric is soft but sturdy and very comfy.
The only problem is that the underwires are just too short under my arm. My armpit chub spills over the sides and the underwire sort of digs in. I really want to love this bra but the armpit poking is annoying--this won't be a keeper.
