This bra fits just like 38J - Panache ยป Thea Balconnet Bra (9261). It's slightly softer and has narrower straps but, in general, the fit is the same: average width wires, firm uplift, high apex, firm lace for no in cup quadding.
Much nicer feel but similar fit to Jasmine as well.
I now have enough experience with this type of Panache bra to know why I'm having a fit issue that gives me rocket boobs (torpedo, but pointing up). The bra's apex is too high for my short rooted full on top breasts. I get lots of lift but my ...nipples are way lower than the apex, so everything is squared off because the top of my breast tissue is forced into the apex.
Besides that, it's a beautiful bra. The elastic top and the bra are double lined. The inside of the bra is very soft. The band is likewise double- bagged and feels firm like a true 38 although it does stretch to 40. I doubt it would wear out quickly because it's a fine mesh. It almost feels like swimsuit material. Although there are only two hooks the band was supportive.
The only uncomfortable part was the straps which are narrower than most in this size. They were also a bit too wide, cutting into my armpit fat.
All in all a lovely bra for someone with slightly wider, taller breast roots. A cheaper Thea, but not cheaper made. Great bra for the price if you are the right shape or don't mind a little pointy action. Read more 174 more words
There is something seriously weird going on between my boobs and this bra. First, if I wear it with the wire properly situated under my boobs, my breasts spill over the top of the cups, which forces the wire to slide lower down (about 2 inches below where my breast tissue begins), leaving the bottom of the cups unfilled and wrinkly. However, if I wear it so that my breasts are fully enclosed in the top of the cups, the wire is sitting on top of my lower breast tissue. No clue what the issue is here. Possibly as a result of this, the wire cuts in painfully ...under the bust, and goes up too high in the armpit so that it pokes and is very uncomfortable.
The straps are way too far apart for me. I have fairly broad shoulders, but if I wear the straps where they seem to sit naturally (on the very edge of my shoulders), they slide off. If I wear them a little more inward (further in from my shoulders), the straps twist and cut in to my flesh, which is pretty painful.
Additionally, the two hooks per column on the band is entirely insufficient for proper support in this size.
Although I like the design of this bra, and the round shape it seems to give, there are just too many fit issues for me to ever consider trying a different size in this model. Read more 132 more words
This bra doesn't fit as such but it gives great lift. The lace on the top cup is hard and very loose. It kinda fits me and is quite uncomfortable when worn on the 2nd set of hooks. It is small and uncomfortable I don't pass up the chance to adjust the bra. I bought it because it was cheap and pretty and I thought I could sister size my way out of it since my old Elomi and goddess bras still kinda fit. A panache 38J wouldn't fit a panache 36JJ or 34K that's my take on the subject. I rarely wear a bra but it is pretty.
This bra was a test to see my breast growth. When I first started my bra journey this bra didn't fit. Now it does, confirming I've grown a cup size this year.
Fit: This bra fits smaller in the cups than my other Cleo, a Marcie. It seems truer to size. The top is a little closed off but my larger breast doesn't quad much because the cups are so high. Instead the gore doesn't tack. In fact, it fits like a very tall wide Curvy Kate Bardot. There's a lot of bra here but I don't feel swallowed up like in the Marcie. Still, the wide tall wires are all up in my pits. The band is quite stretchy and I don't need an extender.
Look: It's basically Barbie's dream bra. It's hot ...pink with baby pink accents and a tiny leopard print bow. The fabric is this soft textured stuff. The hooks and eyes are the same baby pink. It appears better made than the Marcie was. No weird lumps. The cups are a little conical on me. Not the nice round Marcie shape. Could be related to fit but I'm in the largest size they have so I can't size up to tell.
Comfort: I can't comment because I didn't wear it long. It seems to be similar to Panache quality comfort. Certainly the materials are soft, not itchy.
"Barbie's dream bra"--giggling :-) :-) Oh how I hope the scaling differences factor in my favor. And, how I wish Panache would narrow their wires in the larger volumes.
This bra is in the black colorway. This is perhaps the first bra I've ever bought that gapped on both breasts. It's at least a cup too big. It's also way too much bra for me. The gore is far too tall, the wings are too tall, the wires are too wide. On the bottom I have no problem with depth and I do get the "Marcie shape": uber round. I can't tell if the band is more stretchy than other Panaches or if I've lost weight. I might be moving into the 38 range as I've recently had to fasten more bras on ...the last hook (could also be wishful thinking). Anyway I could fasten this one fairly comfortably and usually I need an extender.
My size in Panache is generally 40HH so I'm not sure what's up here. I was thinking about buying one in a 38HH but the measurements on Bratabase aren't much different. The 36J seems to be more in line with what I need but then I'm back to needing an extender plus strap slippage because the extender will move them farther towards my shoulder.
On top of it all, I am not impressed with the quality. Specifically, where the straps join to the cup there is this big ugly lump because the cup fabric is folded over there. The fabric is also quite stiff. Sorry Marcie. I think I'll have to stick with Curvy Kate's narrow wires. Read more 150 more words
I just love the way this bra looks! I think it is so pretty. I know others don't feel he same way about it. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I got this from ebay and it was shipped damage so I was going to return it, but it does not really fit though anyways. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
It is a tight band though for 38 so being a 36 that worked out in my favor. Even though my perimeter is 18.5 I can not fill this bra (16.75 my measurement). Its not horrendous but the cup is defiantly too large to wear the lacy flower embroidery of the top cup. It also seem to push breast outwards and not completely out front on me. If it wasn't damaged I probably would not have sent it back.
I do not own this bra. This bra is owned by a friend of mine, she let me try it on and later send me the measurements so that I could enter them into bratabase.
The Cleo Lizzie is part of the Cleo George-Family. It is a great bra, sadly it does not fit me. The Cleo Lizzie is good for women with a lot of volume on top of their breasts.
Bras that are similar to the Cleo Lizzie are first and foremost the other bras in the family - Cleo George, Cleo Eleanor and maybe Cleo Bonnie??
Others that are similar are Panache Harmony Balconette, Panache Confetti, Panache Sienna. In larger cupsizes (past British G) the Panache Ariza (and siblings) also tends to fit well if the Cleo George/Lizzie fits.
Thank you for sharing the Lizzie/Eleanor/George/Alexa/Sasha connection. Sasha/Alexa's very obvious decorative lace makes them obviously the same bra but I wasn't sure about Lizzie or Eleanor before them. If they indeed fit those fuller-on-top I am looking into them even in their limited availability nowadays.
Have you tried Cleo's Juna? The band of Cleo always runs big for me so a 38 may do well for an actual 40-back. And it's Panache so the wires are usually wider. I find I need the wire to go farther back as well or it does cut into side tissue quite uncomfortably during all day wear. That is something store fitters never seem to understand!
Cleo Juna only goes up to 38H, that is too small for me. Plus Cleo wires are way too narrow for me, they are painful to wear even in 38J.
Fit: This bra fits exactly like the Cleo Blake Balconnet Bra (9151) and is probably the same cut. The top is a little closed off but my larger breast doesn't quad much because the cups are so high. Instead the gore doesn't tack because my close set breasts push it out. There's a lot of bra here and the wide tall wires are all up in my pits. The band is quite stretchy and I don't need an extender (I'm normally a 40 band).
Look: Another Barbie bra, although the black accents help that a bit (I'm not into a whole lot of pink, and I hate animal print). The cups are a little conical on me. Not the nice round Marcie shape. Could be related to fit but I'm in the largest size they have so I can't size up to tell.
Comfort: Itchier than the Blake. The fabric is not soft and neither is the underwire sleeve like on most Panache bras.
This held me all in and the shape is nice, but a little too much projection for my taste. I may keep it to wear under tank tops or low cut shirts. Update:After wearing this bra for a few months, the right wire broke through the top of the middle/gore. I super glued AND sewed some moleskin over the hole and it's held up ever since. The straps often times slide off of my shoulders.
I really like this bra. However, the band is too big, so, of course, it doesn't stay in place. The underwires poke my armpit a bit also. It's not so bad that I couldn't tolerate it, but I just don't want to have to tolerate a bra.
The band on this bra is super loose. It rode up super high on my back. I felt like it didn't give me any support at all. The cups seemed to fit ok, but not quite right. I think if I had the correct size band they would fit better. The underwire poked me under my arm so bad that it made the bra too uncomfortable to wear. I will probably try this bra in a different size when I reach my final form (I'm losing weight.)
I so wish this bra fit me! It is comfortable, gives a good shape, and the gore doesn't hurt me. The problem? quad-boob which gets worse with time. Unfortunately, there is not a larger cup in this to my knowledge. I even tried it with an extender, and still had quad-boob.
Fabric is very soft. At first the bra was very comfortable, but it started poking me worse and worse in my right armpit/breast (which happens to be a cup size smaller). Very sad because it's such a pretty bra. Feels very stretchy. Feels as though the wires are too wide? Maybe I should go down a band size?
Cleo Lily Balconnet Bra (7531) in 38J. I love how projected this bra is, even though I wish it were just a bit more projected. The underwire length is perfect for me; the underwire encapsulates my entire breasts, but does not poke my underarm. I don't really like the two row closure, as opposed to 3+ rows. The gore length doesn't really work for me, as I have close set breasts (I think I will try a plunge next time...). The straps are a little far off (I think I have narrow shoulder, but I don't really know), but it's not too much of an issue. This bra also does not work with my very full on top breasts because I do get a bit of quad boob. Even with these cons, I still think this is a great bra (and probably the best fitting one I own).
