I have been curious to try this bra, as it feels like something a bit different style wise. I love the blue color, the fun lace on top, and it fits really nicely!

The bra is comfortable, and may be a bit minimizing, at least in appearance, not sure about under clothes.

My underbust is around 29.5, and I am wearing this bra on the tightest hooks, which I frequently need to do with bras that are a 30 band.

I think this bra will be really cute to wear with racerback and similar tops that show a bit of the lace overlay at the front.

The cups are sheer. With the combination of the la e overlay I think this will be nice for hot and humid summers.

There aren’t many of these bras reviewed on bratabase. If like me you have been wondering about it, I say go for it! I found it on sale at breakoutbras abd had a 20 percent off coupon, which made it quite inexpensive.

Cleo Sofia is a Marcie/Blake cut bra with a stretch lace overlay in the front only. This overlay adds a bit of compression, giving a somewhat minimized, sports bra or bralette look. The lace overlay extends about an inch above the cups. I personally find it less comfortable than Marcie, but YMMV. The straps are only half adjustable, but the unadjustable portion has some stretch. Unlike some bras (looking at you, Cleo Mimi!), my 5'4" self still has plenty of room to adjust in both directions.

The lower section of the cups is made from a single layer of sheer, non-stretchy mesh. The ... upper section is made from opaque, very stretchy material, that appears to be the same as used in the back band. The top of the cup is bound is a way that makes it very stretchy, much more than the similar looking Blake. This stretch, combined with the higher up lace overlay may work for taller rooted people (in my short rooted opinion!).

This is a bra that is basically a 3 part balconette with an overlay. The inside cups are all firm mesh, no stretch at all. The overlay is a cheetah print, all stretch "lace". I found it to be deep and projected in the cups. So much so that I could not fill it out. Because of the overlay I had a hard time diagnosing where the fit issue was since I could not see. I think it would be best for projected, even breasts. I think it could be too closed on top for those who are FOT, as it does have an elastic band across the ... top. Likewise, if you are FOB, this may not be compatible since it does have quite a bit of fabric and coverage on top. It seems to have decent projection and fairly narrow wires. It reminded me of the Lily in terms of projection and shape, but that top elastic could pose an issue for some. The straps are only halfway adjustable, and I was unable to make them tight enough to have any support or a decent fit there. The wires were typical Cleo wires. Band was firm, as typical Cleos are.

Love the style of this bra. Inner cups are a basic 3-part balcony shape with a sturdy but stretchy top section that accommodates for a small fluctuation in size or full-on-top shapes. Band felt very tight on the first wear but it eased in quickly and is now beyond comfortable. If you're between cup sizes I'd suggest going for the smaller one, not sure if I have one that's on the higher end of measurement tolerances but the cup does seem a little bit too deep - not obvious with the top overlay though and the stretch seems to help it sit nicely and comfortably despite a small wrinkle when I'm slouching. Feels like a really sturdy bra and has survived an accidental machine wash with zero issues! It does have only part-adjustable straps so bear that in mind if you have very long or short shoulders.

The bra is a basic 3-part cut-and-sew with a leopard (power?)mesh overlay. It is too shallow for me, and I suspect I am getting some overflow at the top of the cup. But the leopard overlay is strong enough to keep up to 2 cup volumes of upper overflow in check. Check the detailed photos of how the bra is constructed, since I was pretty surprised by how they chose to attach the overlay. Fits like a normal larger-cup bra, wears like a fashionable, less feminine bra.

My shape is low set, short and narrow rooted, and soft.

This bra has an inner cup in a balconnet cut, with an overlaying lace cup cut like a sports bra or bralette. It's slightly minimizing, but still gives a fairly rounded shape. The cups themselves (under the lace) are pretty projected. The inner cups are made of see-through tight mesh, and the upper piece of the inner mesh has stretch material. The outter lace extends up the thicker front part of the straps. I measured the straps around where they'd land on my shoulder, but the back of the bra has a regula adjustable strap that connects to ... the front unadjustable lace strap. The band is very snug, and I might even wear this with an extender for a while until it breaks in a bit more. It has 2 x 3 sets of hooks. The bra is really good quality, but I wouldn't say it's terribly comfortable (except the wide straps are very comfy). The material is a bit scratchy feeling, sort of like the Marcie. In fact the shape of the inner cup is like the marcie too, but with a stretchy top piece.

This bra has a lot of room in the tops of the cups, even as closed off as they are. The material itself is rough and somewhat scratchy. The stitching was unraveling in several places when I took it out of the bag, which was frustrating given the price. I had really loved the style, but it just doesn’t work for me.

Have been looking for ABTF for about six months and this is the best one yet. Gives me a great shape, fully encapsulates everything, feels supportive including on the sides, and I feel like I could practically run in it. Because of the construction, I cannot diagnose WHY I like it, though, which is a real bummer, because I'm struggling to figure out why others do not feel comfortable, so I am unable to easily compare fit on this, with those. It actually looks like it's coming out of my IMF when I look in the mirror, but it does not feel out of place when wearing. I'm ... amazed that a 2-hook bra can feel this supportive. Now my big task is figuring out what other Cleo is constructed like this one (Marcie, maybe?) so I can buy more to try. My current understanding of my shape is very projected, narrow roots, fairly close-set, and I thought I might be FOT but not sure about that because of how much projection I need at the wire (I guess these things aren't mutually exclusive but I'm still so confused by how this stuff works).

One issue to be aware of: I had a hard time measuring the cup depth, again because of the construction with the two layers. I also have this in 32GG and the measurements were similar, and they also seem to line up with the few stats captured on other sizes, so I have to assume they're reasonably accurate, and I'm also hypothesizing that the large cup depth is why this model works for me. I don't have many to compare to, but this is a bigger cup than any of my others except for the cup-massive Panache Sport 5021 underwired.
