32FF ABTF calculator size, short narrow roots, firm, immediately projected tissue, even fullness.
This is one of two bras of my second order of Comexim by B.O.B's, and I ordered two sizes up from my UK size per their suggestion for a good technical fit. My first order was another half cup model in a 32G that was just a touch too small, but is a good cleavage boost option. The 32GG is spot on for my characteristics for a daily, with the exception one thing; the top of the gore did not completely tack. Overall though, the cups were filled out nicely, straps are wide set (but OK ...for my broader shoulders, would be an issue for narrower), wires almost perfectly follow the IMF, band is snug but not too tight on loosest hook, provides a very nice, rounded shape. Because the gore is not uncomfortable and I've only found one bra that it actually tacks well and fits everywhere else (Panache Cari), I don't mind that it misses this technical fit checkbox. It does have seems which are barely visible beneath clothing, but given how many moulded bras I've tried that do not fit well (gaping, wires too wide, empty space, etc) and I wanted more variety than just 6 Caris, I also don't mind this tradeoff!
Edit 04/06/23: I wrote my first review based on trying on this bra for ~10 minutes to take notes and pictures. Although I haven't put it on again, I did wear another bra I received in the same order in the same style but different pattern (Panther 3HC Half cup by Comexim, also in 32GG), and it turns out the gore not tacking IS an issue. After wearing it for ~4 hours, I was getting some gaping at the top of the cups, indicating tissue was shifting. I thought perhaps the cups were a bit too large, but when I pressed the gore to my sternum, I not only filled the cups again but had the itsy bitsiest bit of quadding. Unfortunately, this pushes this bra into the "does not work for me" category after all, and I believe I need even more projection at the apex. Read more 256 more words
For reference, I have short, narrow-ish roots, with even fullness and very firm self-supporting projected tissue (augmented). I found this bra during my hunt for a molded t-shirt bra, but none of them had enough immediate projection without being way too wide in the cups with wires extending far past my tissue into my rib cage. The one exception is the Panache Cari, which does fit pretty well and has good immediate projection, but is also only available in neutrals, and wouldn't be suitable for a lower cut or skimpy top. So at this point, I decided to try a Polish bra as I've read so much about ...their great projection on reddit, and figured I could use it to help identify a better t-shirt bra if nothing else. I saw the Nina on Breakout bras and followed their recommendation to size up one cup for a slight cleavage boost (32FF -> 32G). When I tried it on, the immediate projection bra spirits rejoiced, as did my boobs. The cups are very supportive and do indeed give a nice uplift, and the wire actually follows the edge of my breast almost perfectly. The gore is very narrow (good because my breasts have no "give" in the middle), and the straps are thick and supportive. I will say it's not a perfect technical fit; the gore doesn't tack, the band is a bit stiff (that was expected), and the straps are also on the tighter side and wide set. I'm not surprised the gore doesn't tack as this is a cup size too small, and while I don't mind the strap width, if you have narrow shoulders this would not work for you at all. The best part is, is that even when I tried this on with one of my thinner shirts, the lace edging was barely visible, much less so than I was expecting. Overall I was very pleased and immediately went on Breakout bras and purchased another bra in the same style but different fabric, and sized up one more cup for a better technical fit for daily wear (32GG). My bra came with an overlapping gore despite coming from Breakout Bras directly. It also seems to run a bit smaller, and fits more like I would expect an E cup to fit.
Perhaps it's due to my short roots, but I have some moderate gapping at the top of the cups with this model. In the 3HC, the 30FF gives me some very slight quadding, so I figured that 30FF would be okay for the plunge style, but I suppose not. I should have sized down to a 30F for this one.
That said, I do love the look of the bra. I'm a sucker for anything lace.
This bra was purchased from Breakout Bras and is sized as a 34G UK. It's a non-padded bra. The wires are a good width for me but the straps are a bit too wide for me and they cut into my tail of spence. The cups are also a bit tall but I do fill them up mostly my smaller bust has a small wrinkle that isn't noticeable under clothing. That being said it's one of the better fits that I currently have it still lacks enough projection at the wire for me though. My tissue does push the wires out of my IMF and I can only ...wear the bra for about 7 hours at a time. My measurements are loose under bust 33.5, snug 32, tight 30, my bust is standing 41.25, leaning 43, laying 41.5. My shape is splayed, narrow and extremely short root with immediate projection, full on top but functionally full on bottom due to very little tissue below the nipple, and leaning more toward center full. I need a low gore and overlapping gore because of how tissue connects. Read more 77 more words
