  1. I’ve had my eye on this for a while at Breakout Bras, and I’m so so glad I got it! The fabric is a lovely silky like stretch fabric. The fabric over the cups lays perfectly smooth. The pattern is a beautiful marble pattern consisting of various shades of steel, cool toned, grays and blush pink. There are small bows where the straps meet the cup as well as the center gore. The straps are a smooth steel gray color. The band is TTS and a nice firm 30 band. The back closure is the same steel gray color with 3x4 hooks. As soon as I put it on it was instant comfort. I know this will be a favorite as I wear a lot of gray tank tops in the summer. I purchased the matching panties in a size Medium. They are made of the same lovely silky smooth fabric. There is a nude cotton gusset in the crotch. It has two tiny bows on the top of the front seems.

Looks good! I like this even more "in real life" compared to the stock photos.

I agree with the above comments! it looks great and i like what it looks like in real life more than the stock photos.... i really love the print

    • 1

      Calluna Thank you. :)

Wilderness1 & Rosez3x5 I totally agree with you both. I think that’s why it took me so long to buy it. I liked the print, but didn’t love it till I got it in person. Even the lighting between my bathroom and the natural light photo I took of it close up look different. But you can definitely see more detail than the stock pics. But best of all, this is so comfortable right out of the box! I’m tempted to buy one more exactly like it.

    Hasn't set fit

Such a lovely marble-space print! I really like Andromeda. It was my first (and up until now, only - trying to maintain some self-discipline (; ) BreakOutBras order, in April last year.

    *Fit:
Apparently Andromeda's band is said to run tight, but I personally haven't noticed, maybe the 4x3 hooks help? My standard 70 Comexim band feels fine (for a ribcage measuring 74-78-85 cm.).
This 70K (sold by BoB as UK 32H - I'm just now thinking I may need to change how I entered this bra?) fits me well. Some minor cutting in / bulge on my larger breast - I suppose a 70L may have fit as well. ... For reference my breast perimeter is 30+-ish cm / 12 inches and because I don't mind some compression I tend to do well in bras with a depth around 28+cm./11 inch.

The wires are nice and narrow, the wings are low enough not to bother me, and even without alterations this bra works for me.

    *Materials:
Deserve their own paragraph, as the materials on this are my absolute favorite that Comexim uses! Wish they would come out with more bras in this type fabric!
It's a smooth, sturdy, satiny overlay with a cotton lining throughout the cups.

    >>Only downside of this fabric is that for the briefs, in summer this material can be kind of crotch-sweat inducing, if you know what I mean.

    *Look:
Visually, this bra is stunning. The swirly marble-like veins in the fabric, the galaxy vibes without being in-your-face galaxy.. Beautiful.
Don't get me wrong I would also purchase a purple-blue-sparkle full-on galaxy bra in a heartbeat, but this is pretty functional and understated, while still being an original non-overly-girly design. For me, the grey can also conveniently function as a 'neutral'/almost nude under clothes, which is great as I don't like beige bras.

    *Comfort:
I've come to the conclusion that I'm pretty projected and I may need added projection as an alteration in Comexim plunges. There's usually a crease going on in the bottom cup and Andromeda definitely slides down a bit throughout a day of wear, which can kind of hurt my ribcage after a while. Still, it's very wearable and pretty comfortable regardless, in part due to the cotton lining I suspect. The straps are a little too far apart for me (normally I have them moved in 2-3 cm./about an inch) but not so much that it hurts me.

So, all in all I'm super happy with this pretty grey bra - it's been holding up great over the past year (still almost feels like new) and it gets a lot of wear!

It’s probably creasing because it is too small and/or perhaps the band is a little bit too tight even with the extra hooks even if it’s ok for you.

    • 1

But it’s a super lovely bra!

    • 1

Calluna Yeah that's what I was thinking! Band doesn't feel too tight at all though, and I don't tolerate overly tight bands well, so guess I would notice if it was straining.

Luckily it's still wearable (: but yes 'technically' I may need a 70L or (when ordered directly) extra depth!

    • You should maybe try Comexim's deeper padded plunge, it's like this one, Topaz, from Breakout Bras.
I think the fit is slightly better on me 32H UK with the deeper padded plunge; it also makes the straps slightly more narrow, imo. https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dnpi3/

    Didn't fit

Andromeda is a Breakout Bras exclusive padded plunge bra. The name indicates a galaxy print, but in all reality it is a marble print in bluish grey, with pink, white, black, and grey veins running through it. The straps, trim, and hook-sets are a darker bluish grey with pink bows and accents. It is quite beautiful.

The fabric on the cups was not sewn with the proper tension, so the liner is tighter than the outer fabric. This isn’t noticeable through T-shirts or sweatshirts, but I am sure would be noticeable under a thinner or fitted tank top. From experience with this looser fabric in the past (also with ... Comexim) I can say that if you get a lot of shirt friction against this fabric, it will make it even looser, but if your breasts tend to stretch out the lining, it will get it closer to the same tension over time.

The cups are short for a standard 28KK at only 8.75”, as is the gore at 3.5” making me think this one would be more of the extra low plunge than a standard Comexim plunge. This makes it difficult to keep my nips in the cups, but would be a positive thing for those who need a shorter cup.

    As for fit,
The cups are too small and definitely not deep enough at the wire, but I wasn’t going for a great fit, I was going for comfort of the strap area which has been extremely sensitive for me lately. The gore is 3 fingers off my sternum, I have some quadding, and I can’t force my boobs into the bottom of the cups but the straps aren’t rubbing my armpit, so I am considering this one a good fit as silly as that may sound. The band is snug but is comfortable on the loosest hook set.

    And for the technical aspects:
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.

The band measures 20” and stretches to a max of 26.5” and that was really forcing it. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops. This is far from a true 28 band, but more in line with what a true 60 band should be.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12.5”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 14.5”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

That's really pretty. Reminds me of how Pearl Mint Flower with how shallow on bottom it is.

    • 1

What's funny is I didn't notice the shallowness until I cropped the photos. It doesn't feel constricting or anything (at least in the short test run) so it doesn't bother me. We'll see if it is comfy all day once I wear it for a day. 😄

    • 1

I guess this on is breaking the breakout bras norm of looser bands, just to keep us all guessing... It is a cool marble look for sure. I am glad it is comfortable where is counts right now!

    • That is Comexim for us, right? Throwing those curve balls with band sizes. The Magic I got was 29". The Queen of Hearts 30KK was 34" which is insane! Why can't we get some consistency? !

And thank you. 💕 Comfort is the priority at the moment.

    *Update:
So I love this pattern so much I just repurchased this 65K since my 65J is too small in the cup. The cup at the straps are still a little wide for my liking, but since I sew, I’ll be moving the straps over for a better fit.
I’ve also repurchased the panties in a size Large for a better fit. I personally don’t like panties that pinch my butt fat. Quad boob is bad, but quad booty is even worse lol.

    *Original review:
Ugh. Unfortunately this bra is constructed just a little differently than the Basic Plunge. This bra has the straps spaced further apart, by almost a whole strap width, compared to the basic plunge. So, I get some unwanted gapping and armpit discomfort. I’ll be returning this. Highly debating ordering from Comexim direct and requesting straps moved in a few centimeters because I love this print. I’ve reviews this bra in a 65J and a 70J as well. The band on this bra fits TTS with a 3x4 closure.

The print is so nice. Too bad about the bra construction with straps too far apart. I hope you can reorder one with custom strap placement as it looks really great on you.

Great bra love the pattern band fits great and cups are alright but gore won't sit flat at all. May try next size up to see if that corrects the issue.

    60L

    Didn't fit

This bra is an exchange from Breakout Bras for the Comexim Lilly. First I ordered a Lilly 30H (65K). Then I exchanged for a 30HH (65L). Turns out I actually need 28 bands. So I decided to exchange for the Andromeda in 28HH (60L) because I loved the print. I think this bra may have worked but the band barely stretched to 26in (65.5cm). I love that the gore was slightly overlapped and I can’t remember the Lilly coming that way. The fabric is a smooth stretchy satiny material but it feels a little loose on on the cups...sort of like it wasn’t stretched enough. But I love the marbled print and the grey and pink. It’s just so pretty! There was a little bit of space in the bottom of the cup and I’m not sure if that was due to the band being too tight? I didn’t have any gapping even on my smaller boob!

I’m going to have to exchange this bra and I’m disappointed because I just love the print!

    65HH

    Didn't fit

This Andromeda in 30G was far too large. It turns out I wear 28G (60HH) or 28FF (60H) in Comexim.

    What I liked:

    * Color is way cuter in person than photos show... you'll see this in other reviews too. I was iffy on it based on photos but love it in person
    * Pink hardware is adorable detail
    * Material is very smooth, despite seams, bra vanishes under all the shirts I've tried
    * Thick straps!!

The matching panties were SO VERY COMFORTABLE. In fact I loved the panties SO MUCH that I knew I had to find the right bra to match. Something about this material! It's so stretchy and ... so comfortable!!

And in this style I had some trouble finding the right bra size... but anyways this 30G was far too large. I currently own the 28G (60HH) and it's a hair roomy but works.

Also about the bows... I see a lot of people dislike Comexim bows... on this particular style, I think the bows are very cute, they are subtle and understated and squareish, so stylistically they match the sciency-nebula pattern.

    About me:
    * 28F in UK styles
    * 27.0" underbust
    * 60HH (28G) in Comexim Andromeda (**this style**)
    * 60HH (28G)in Comexim Basic Padded Plunge
    * 60H (28FF) in Comexim Inez (padded plunge)
    * 60HH (28G) in Comexim Treasure (padded plunge swimwear)
    * 65H (30FF) in Comexim Sirene (unpadded style)

    • Thanks for such a detailed review! You hardly ever see something like this from a newer user. You rock!

    • *just saw your account is 2 years old. Regardless, great review! And the bra is stunning on you, too bad the fit is less than "stellar". Lol.

    • 1

marilynne Haha, thanks so much!! Actually I didn't know I had an old account, I just got on here last month but I must have reactivated some old signup. I definitely read like **every single** comexim review trying to determine my size .... so now that i have that knowledge, I want to try and pay that forward. Thanks for the nice comment!! I have a bunch of reviews drafted for the bras that did work, i'll be posting some more this week.

    • I did the exact same thing! I dug up and read through every single review that said "pretty bra, tall cups" "pretty bra, tight band" and had to compile the info together in my head. I really appreciate your detailed reviews. Thank you again!

    70J

    Didn't fit

I currently own this in a 65J, but sometimes when I’m feeling a little bloated during my time of the month or having back pain, I want something a little roomier. Since I had good luck switching between my Comexim Basic in 65J and 70J, figured I’d give this a shot since it’s one of my favorites. Well, it didn’t work out quite like I hoped. The cups are just too large for me in this size, with the straps being a little too far apart. The quality and construction is the same as my 65J, but due to the fit I’ll be returning.

    60H

    Fits

My most recent Comexim order from Breakout Bras has been quite hit or miss. Out of the three bras I ordered, the Andromeda is the one I've wanted for the longest. I had been drawn to this style immediately when I came across the Breakout Bras Comexim section, but as it is one of the more expensive styles, I didn't want to order this before I was sure of my size.

Thankfully, when it came time to order this, Breakout Bras reduced the price AND had a 25% off sale going on. Thus, ordering from them as about the same price as ordering from Comexim directly ... during a sale, so I snagged my current size of 60H and crossed my fingers that the cups wouldn't run big or fit funny.

Luckily, this is actually my best fitting Padded Plunge style in 60H! I've noticed that the bras seem to fit a little differently based on the fabric, even though the foam used is the same, and the measurements are the same. It seems that some of the bras hold their shape better, while others become slightly distorted, despite the same band measurement. The Andromeda, with its thicker fabric, seems to be more stable in the cup, and this style along with Ingrid seem to fit a little better than Basic, which seems a bit floppier.

The fabric of this bra is once again different from my other Comexims. It seems to be a lightly peached satin microfiber, and the print is a marbled purply grey/light grey/pink combination. I thought this fabric was going to be a darker toned satin, but it is still lovely. It seems to be an update of the older style Luna, which was a marbled grey print in microfiber as well. However, the trims on this bra are very simple. There's no lace at the upper cup, the straps are plain purply-grey with picot edges, hardware is pink plastic, and the bows are square and made of two tone ribbon. Honestly the bows are my least favorite part of this bra as I don't think they really suit the style.

In terms of fit, this is really similar to my other Comexims in 60H except that the cups are more stable and I get a little less gapping than on other styles despite the same tall cups and wide-set straps. The 60H cup width and depth are perfect for me, but as the fullest portion of the cup is a little higher than my natural shape, I have some emptiness at the top of the cup on my smaller side. When I move, I can also see some gapping at the top of both cups that doesn't occur in the 60G. The taller cups also mean that the side of the cup and strap cause a little chafing. My hunch is that the problem is driven by the cup height because the cup width, depth, and wire measurements are pretty much the same as all of my other best fitting padded cup bras so far, and I get a pretty good fit on my larger side when I don't move my arms in.

The only thing other than the cup height that I don't love about this fit are the overlapping wires at the gore. I find overlapping wires to be a bit unstable on my body, because although my breasts are right next to each other with no gap, my splayed roots work better with standard gores of about 1"/2.5 cm. This gore is extremely narrow, about half of the width I am used to, so it takes some extra positioning on my body to sit properly.

The band is TTS and in my experience, only one of 9 Comexim bras in a 60 band came in off-spec, so I would suggest ordering your normal band size. This style is fully covered in printed fabric just like the Ingrid, so the band is double lined with stretch tricot for stability. The band and cups makes this a comfortable bra that feels supportive and gives great shaping. I am very happy with this additional Comexim style, and I can't wait for them to reopen so I can order more styles in 60H with customizations!

    60G

    Didn't fit

I got this from BoB on final sale for $21. I'm still figuring out my size, but I think I'm somewhere between a 26E/F. I got a 28F (60G, they didn't have a 26 band), and the shape seems to work really well for me! I'm very close set, round, with tall roots. The cup is a little too small, though. I'm keeping it, both because I can't return it and because it gives me great cleavage (I can finally throw out my old 32D pushup bras!). I'm going to try a plunge in 60H, because this bra seems very promising!
