Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, slightly FoB, slightly centre full, never met a gore I didn't like, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG
This is my first attempt at Comexim custom fits. It is almost perfect, but not quite. I had the ordinary cup construction replaced with their three part half cup pattern with two vertical seams. This gives enough immediate projection and a fairly round shape. I also had the straps moved inwards by two centimetres. This was not quite so successful ... when it comes to both straps that fall off my shoulders and straps that dig into the front of my armpit! Why cant all my bras be like this?
However, by altering the attachment point, I seem to have changed the horizontal tension and thus the shape of the soft cup. Insead of being normally shaped according to the half cup design, it seems loose by the centre gore and tight by the strap attachment. This gives a shape that has a flat plane angling inwards and down in the top of the cup at the strap attachment. I will exaggerate it in a picture to show you what I mean. I decided to order a new bra like this with a raised gore, thinking that by increasing the attachment point at the centre will add the necessary horizontal tension to support the shape. As I have a slight centre fullness, there is no gaping. It is a bit odd, but once I got used to it, I thought it fairly wearable.
As to the Donna, the embroidery is a bit itchy. Maybe a wash will help? The centre gore is tiny, the straps are ribbed and thus no-slip, and the mesh is not elastic, but has a little give in the bias. I was very surprised by the cup width measurement as it seems so much narrower. I guess the narrow centre gore and the half cup design account for it.
I will post my review on the new design when I get it.
