    Didn't fit

    My first Comexim, with no alterations, worn out of the box for a few hours on the loosest hook:
    (side note this shipped in a box slightly bigger than a VHS box, for those people that hate that kind of thing. It did seem to come out fine. It also took about a week of shipping in Poland, then 3 weeks to get through the USPS system although it's during Covid)

    Normally I wear about a 34H/HH (if UK bras fit), and about an 80HH in Ewa Mickalak, but I ordered an 80M based off comexim's side chart and my measurements and extrapolating how those numbers would work off the ... chart.
    I both love, and am disappointed by this.

    I ordered the Megan longline off the website in an 80J (the max cup in that band), but wrote 80M in the comments as their email instructed for getting a custom size. I received an 80M but without the longline, so I assume this is the standard plunge. (I wanted to try a standard to then see what alterations I wanted to try). I dont like that I paid extra and didnt get a longline, so I'd be sure to say that specifically if ordering again.

    The straps are too wide- they are 100% in my armpit. I'm not sure how asking that to be altered will effect how the cup sits, but right now the shape is pretty good. It's almost squared off which is odd, as Ewa's seemed triangluar (like the outside was chopped off), and Curvy Kate seems rounder. It's odd how the shapes change so drastically between brands in this size. The shape is defiantly better than most bras for how narrow/omega shaped but projected I am.
    The wires are also too wide at the sides. I can fit 3 fingers between the wire and the root of my tissue on the outside of the cup. Im not sure if I can ask for a 75N or 75O to be added on an 80 band, but somehow I need smaller wires.
    The band itsself fits pretty well, except for the bottom of the gore. I had a similar issue with my Ewa's where my breasts seems to push the top of the gore out slightly and the bottom of the gore would then dig into my sternum. This bra is doing something similar, but to a lesser degree. Trying to feel where the fabric strains, I think I need more immediate projection at the wire or a narrower gore- I'm not sure which or if I need both. The strain seems to be in the first/middle panel, and none on the outside. I think it's the right volume cup, but more of my tissue is in the middle, while the cup is designed to have more to the outside. (I always have a gap in the outer side bottom of my cups, but strain on the inner bottom. I almost have to do the opposite of Swoop and Scoop to fit in a lot of bras) This really makes me want to try to make a 70 O cup to throw on an 80 band or something similar to see if that would fix a lot of issues. i think a lot of my issues may be solved by the whole cradle of the bra being made narrower, so theres not useless cup on my side, but with a larger band so it fits around me. I just wish I didnt have to sew it or order that from Poland to try that. Also, the gore tacks, but is wide enough it turns slightly sideways inbetween my breasts.

    Volume/projection seems ok otherwise. I have slight gapping at the top edge of the cup if I don't swoop and scoop, but it fills in if I remember to do that. I also am -slightly- short rooted for this bra so there's a tiny gap under the strap connection.

    It may be my most wearable bra so far, comfort and fit wise. Besides the strap being much to far apart, the fit issues aren't actively irritating after a couple hours wear. Appearance wise, I love the color scheme, Im going to have to get used to the new, boxier, or squared off shape. The lines of lace/copper definately show through a t-shirt which is irrtating and current-me wishes past-me ordered a plainer one, while at the same time loving the copper. (It is a shiney metalic orange similar to a bright copper). The quality seems ok. Really Ewa and Comexim seem compareable to a lot of the mass manufactured people in quality from what I've seen. Comexim makes me nervous that I didnt really get the style I was asking for, but I liked that I didnt have to pay VAT or a paypal merchant fee like Ewa had (both are shadey/illegal?)

    I just wish the process of getting and altering them was easier, especially with the stories I've heard and the English/Polish language barrier or whatever seems to make Comexim inconsistant with orders/alterations. Not getting the longline I paid for makes me hesitant to try again. Im also not sure if I order a second bra, would I move the straps in, more intimidate projection by the wire or a smaller gore, narrower wires or a deeper but narrower cup size, or what to do? I'll probably send an email to the reply on how to order the 80M and explain fit issues in English and hope someone over there can speak English enough to help.

    {At this point Im looking into sewing my own, even to just play around with ideas before ordering a professionally made thing again, but 34HH cup pattern is hard enough to find. If I have to change cup size to get them narrower but the same volume otherwise- so a 32J or 30JJ but just sticking them close together on a 34 band- that's a lot harder to get a cup pattern for.}

    It would be so lovely to just point at a pretty bra and be able to get it in my size. this was sort of my last-hope try without going into alterations, so Im disappointed. At least they do make alterations so that's some new hope? Its easy to get excited about all the lovely patterns and fabrics, but also sort of hard to get excited when my first one was already a little messed up and more alterations I need to ask for means a bigger chance of not getting what I ordered.

      Hi ystonl i would say it is hard to get those narrower wires from Comexim i can't speak to it because the time I tried i don't think it worked but a few things. Perhaps you could go with the 75 in a bigger cup and request they add an extra set of hooks and use an extender if needed.

      The gore you have although it tacks may bee too wide still so you can try a narrowed and overlapped gore to help, but also maybe a reduced gore so you can have the gore tack below that point. I do this all the time for my close set, center fullness even though I have a large cup.

      I will also warn you that moving in the straps, reducing the gore, and reducing the cup height can essentially cause you to loose a cup volume so it's ok to go up a cup or 2 depending on how much you are altering.
