This is my second venture into Comexim's unpadded 3HC bras, my first try was with the hard-to-find-your-size (though lovely) Onyks through Breakout Bras. I actually feel bad that I told someone (a newbie) on r/ABTF forum *not* to order this bra; I thought the sizing was difficult like the Onyks. It turns out this one is much more true to size, imo, even though I didn't quite guess correctly. If you notice from the pictures, I think that this bra is 1.5 cups too small for my larger side, and 1 cup too small for my smaller size.

Since this is a clearance item, I ordered +2 cups ... larger - they didn't have just one cup larger left - so we'll see. I could be in a Goldilocks and the 3 bears situation, but I should be getting the 2nd clearance bra any day now, whoo!

About the bra: when I first tried it on, despite the quad-boobing/overflowing, would you believe it's still comfortable and wearable (somewhat?); I only say that because the quad-boobing in a little noticeable with a thin shirt. Still, I find this bra quite comfortable (like a boob hug!). I did size down in the band compared to what I usually wear in Comexim padded plunges, fyi: I only did that because I remember the Onyks being soooo stretchy, I thought all of their bands for their unlined styles were equally as stretchy - but I'm not really an expert in this style obviously. If one was in between band sizes, I would say "size down in the band for the unlined style," but it's really up to the person's discretion. and if they like their band firm, loose etc.

ALSO, another pleasant attribute of the unpadded 3HC: I actually find this style kind of minimizing.

That's all for my review, I am anxiously awaiting my 2nd Sirene now so I can compare the fits on each of them: even though this one is too small in the cups, I'm still holding on to it a.t.m. because *I'm hoping to loose weight and boobage* soooo...here's some wishful thinking that I can fit into this bra properly someday (plus, it was on clearance for $21, so I don't really want rid of it yet).

Of note: I realized that if you write a review for a bra online (that you've purchased, they won't give you credit if it's something you bought & returned), Breakout Bras will give you Loyalty points that will help you to earn discounts - it's doesn't need to be a long review even, just a few sentences : )

I have no idea where my original review is for this, it was during one of my first dozen reviews last fall when I'd realized Comexim was the light the truth and the way (can we discuss what an obscenely attractive thing this is, with it's swamp hag greengold and seawitch sinuous ribbon-tentacles?)
Redoing this review, which is a massive PITA because the BBASE really doesn't like the tag. Sorry I had a wild impulse purchase moment with Breakout who probably custom ordered the utterly bizarre UK sizing, for the typical cm increase, which makes NO SENSE at all! Should have ordered straight from ... the source.

So mine has a tag of '28JJ'. This come with a depth of 11.5" and a cup height of nearly 8" which is very firmly 'H' territory. Going over 28/60N listings for 3HC's on Breakout currently shows a size of UK sizing of 28JJ, as also being an American size 28N. But remember- we're dealing in CM here not inches.... So yeah /facepalm

This 3HC seems to be a tough one for a lot of people in the world in general. The shape is really deep, moderately projected and open on top with a little elastic stitched into the top. The band is insanely tall! Straps sufficiently wide for considerate support. Not wild about the wires which are real tall and U shaped (4.5 from bottom center, directly up the the midway point between wire arms). For even fullness with tall roots and moderate projection?

All of this asides, as an extra short doublewide full on bottom- I wear it A LOT.

Pros: -The most gorgeous thing i owned all year
-My god it's soft, like wrapping my tits in a pillow, airy yet blanketed, unrestrained but supported
-Hands down the most fluctuation friendly yet secure bra I own
-Perhaps this is down to size, nothing else in my halfcup collection of CH/CHP/3HC/various polish makes, comes close to the immediate projection I get in this
-So as a consequence, my breasts are never pushed from the cups out into the armpit or up in the amscye like with... well most everything.

Cons: -The breakin /ID-ing fit issues period was awful (many changes came fast! endless fiddling to keep it in rotation whilst my cleo mimi replacements lagged)
-Thicker taller band means you get a way tighter band for better or worse
-It's a tough cookie but still made of layered fine mesh net and lace so needs extra care on washing day
-Straps start of hard and inflexible so they cut in a bt on the edges, I recall getting welts the first few weeks which rather hadn't
-Because they straps max out at 15" long, which is way better that a whole lot in 28 bands but also, hi I have massive man shoulders? Just, I need more than a gradeschool child's sleeve depth, ok. I have long worn teen clothing as it fits everything else perfectly well so I know exactly how odd this scaling is. This is not a hard or weird request ffs- Just give us enough strap to cover a reasonable range of shoulder depth and let the dumb thing be taken DOWN to 10" good freaking night.

I truly adore that Sirene came with overlapped wires. It would have been heavenly had it been a fully narrowed gore as the gore at 3+ inches very competent but not Gorsenia levels of narrow.
Although I've only discovered the joys of narrowing one's own gore a few months back, it's not yet occurred to me to so that to Sirene. Maybe when I gain that annual Holiday Pound soon, & get desperate.
Due to the straps being rather on the short side of things, I picked out the armscye, deepened the curve to start lower and ascent further inward under the strap.

I've also fiddled with the cup height over the year to suit whatever fit I need, which seems to only be getting deeper (at center? sides? inner? who knows anymore).

Okay, update from my previous entry. Lots to discuss!

I rc/d my second Sirene, it was a clearance item at Breakout Bras, so it was only like $21. As soon as I opened the package from Breakout, I was like "the band looks kind of small." Or maybe it's just b/c the cups were bigger and it was an illusion, lol. (cue to Illusion meme from Arrested Development).

Anywho, today I'm wearing this bra with an extender: the problem is, the extender prob makes the band a little too loose (I have it on the tightest setting), and it makes the straps go out further from the midline. ... The extenders probably a tiny bit itchy, compared to wearing a bra without an extender, too.

Okay, here is another point that I want to discuss; I do find this bra comfortable and supportive in this size; there is a little bit of gaping at the top of the cup on my smaller side, but the fact that I could also kind of wear 2 cups sizes smaller in this size (*with major cleavage boost*) is interesting; I wish I could try on the middle size and compare it (but it was a clearance item, so they only had certain sizes left).

Anyway, this is an interesting style, quite comfy, I do want to try more unpadded 3HCs and compare them in the future. The pattern on the bra is really pretty; this cup size is probably more suitable than the previous one I tried on - which I could fit, but it was a squish.

Gorgeous. Lined, not padded. It's a slate grey base with yellow, soft blue and iridescent (blue/green/silver) embroidered 5, 8, 4 & 3 pointed flowers/leafs, along with an embroidered curling ribbon design of the soft blue. There is a mustard yellow bowtie at the top of the center gore.
It seems like it may be a tad deeper at the apex that padded Comexims of similar size, and the straps are set too wide for me (as in every bra), which makes the straps and wings itch some days. Mine does have cookie pockets, the lining is a kind of fine mesh polyester and doesn't feel bad.
The texture often shows under shirts, but it's been a while since I've work it out to check just how overt that is.
The embroidery does continue partway up the strap and makes the straps only partially adjustable.
This bra's measurements have been altered
straps moved in 2 cm, cup height reduced, cookie pockets added

This is definitely one of the prettiest bras I own. It's a muted navy with gold, green and blue-grey embroidered flowers. I ordered this thinking it was a padded 3HC, but it's actually a soft cup. I would have ordered it a cup size down if I'd known. While it 'fits', I think it would be a bit more flattering and supportive if it fit a bit snugger. I still like the way it looks and feels, though, and I find it to be more supportive than I expected. It has lovely, substantial straps that are softly brushed on the inside and easily adjustable to about halfway or so.

    • It’s really pretty but it does looks like it’s a tad too big. Hopefully you can still get some use from it.

    • 1

Yup- a passable fit on my larger side but definitely too big on my small side. I think an L would have been perfect. Still feels pretty good though. And the pictures don't do it justice. The fabric is stunning in person.

    • It is pretty, but yeah...I thought it was a padded bra too! I wish they'd put a description next to the bra, even "soft" or "padded". Some of their bras have a description, but most don't.

    • Yeah, I wish they would do that too!

    • I did too, initially, until I saw it in the Half Cup and Balconette sections and then saw the Instagram post that said it was soft cup. And I saw the other review here. Do you find the embroidery/appliqués itchy?

    • No, I don't find it itchy.

    • Ok. So you would have ordered a smaller size if you had known that it was a soft cup?

    • Yes, I would have ordered it in the same size as the padded plunges, so a cup size down.

Fit is great, just a little bit of wrinkling on the top of the cups, but I generally have trouble filling out the top on most bras, and the embroidery on this one makes it less noticeable. The embroidery is a little scratchy at first, but softens up with washing. I had no issues adjusting the straps, the embroidery does come up them a ways, but on me it ends before the top of my shoulder.

I will say, my main complaint about this bra is that the plastic rings attaching the straps to the band in the back are very squeaky. My partner says he doesn't notice unless I point it out, but to me it seems pretty loud and can make me a little self-conscious.

I want so badly for this bra to be right. I really, really do! It is so pretty and I really prefer an unlined bra vs a lined or padded one.

Some people have found this bra to be scratchy, which I can see a bit from the embroidery. I wasn’t bothered by it for the short period I was trying it on. The embroidery is very pretty, but it is somewhat raised. This would be best to wear with a structured shirt or something heavy like a sweater if you don’t want to see the bumpiness. The mesh lining is much softer, which was lovely.

The straps are also ... embellished, which is lovely but impractical. You cannot fully adjust the straps because of the ribbon and embroidery on the front of straps.

My fit: The wire width is correct. The gore doesn’t quite tack for me, but I could live with it. I went with my true size because other Comexim styles I’ve tried were far too open on top when I sized up. This was a mistake. I am quadding out even on my smaller side. It also rides too close to my armpit on the side for my preference. It shows when I wear a high cut tank (which is basically my daily wear).

I also have a (perhaps unrealistic) expectation for a different shape. I thought I would get better lift when I find a bra that fits. You can see my unrealistic expectations in the pic where I am pulling up by the strap.
