I was 100% certain that this bra would be total failure on me, and it is the opposite of that! I only ordered it because of the colors. Green straps! Purple! The print! I love it. Especially the style of the little green bows.
I was not sure what size to order because I hear things about people needing to size up in the half cups/down in the plunges, or if one cut works for you then another won't, etc. I ordered the same size as the half cups that have worked for me and expected it to be way too projected and the cups really tall. But, ...it the cups appear to fit perfectly!
Unfortunately the band is really big. I don't know if this model just runs big or what, but I'm a little disappointed at how big it is. I immediately put the bra on the tightest hooks. I don't know if this is a sewing error or if I would need to order a 55 band on plunges in the future. I might eventually have to alter this or get a Rixie clip, or sell it and order a new one in the smaller size for myself. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
The gore is SO low. I am not sure which of the Comexim plunges this is supposed to be similar to, I know certain models are rumored to have extra low gores, and I think this is one of them.
Other than the band, I'm really happy with this bra. The lower coverage gives a little bit less "omg boobs" under tight t-shirts than the 60E - Comexim ยป Sonia. The fabrics are soft and the styling is spot on. Read more 180 more words
Crazy! Did you order it directly? I would have guessed it had reduced cups and gore. It looks perfect on you though!
Looks really good on you and makes me sad again that the plunges don't work for me. I think I would just alter the band if the tightest hook is not tight enough anymore. My Dafhne has a very soft band, but even if I thing it's going to ride up, everything keeps perfectly in place, so hopefully it's the same for you.
This looks to be the same cut as Ginger, which is lower coverage than the standard plunges as well as slightly wider and a bit shallower.
Your pictures are a lot nicer than the stock photos. This bra is vivid! It looks dulled on the website.
Dvrgrl812 Yes, I ordered it directly from the Comexim website, with no alterations.
Leilani Yes, despite its looseness, it does feel relatively secure. As soon as the elsasitic breaks in at all though, I don't know. The band is 23" unstretched and my break-the-tape is 25". I guess we'll see!
jlcl119 Okay so apparently the Ginger and the Free Time share these cut characteristics! I wish this info was more clear. On the website they're all just "plunge". I guess I unknowingly ordered the one that is most likely to work for me!
As to the colors, I would not have ordered this if it looked like the stock photos. Someone else on here bought one and uploaded a few pics showing the true purple. The stock photos look almost periwinkle... yuck!
I love this bra! The fit is perfect and it's so pretty and comfortable.
I am more used to unlined bras, and before that, too-shallow molded foam ones. The foam lining of this one makes for OMG BOOBS in tight t-shirts. This is different from the larger size ranges of Comexim half-cups which people report as being more minimizing.
I will definitely wear it a lot with suits, button-up collared shirts, and when I have ouchy PMS boobs that need foam protection. Who knows, maybe I'll eventually come around to the "boobs" look, because this bra looks and feels really nice. I already wore it under a baggy shirt ...for some weekend errands and felt really good in it.
The coloring is more peach than pink. Compared to most of my brightly colored bras, this one will work as a nude.
Boob twins, you need this bra. Ordering from Poland is not as intimidating or expensive as one would think. In this size range, the scaling is pretty good, so there is not a big chance that a bra will be an epic fail because of a need for a ton of custom alterations. Read more 84 more words
It looks like a great fit on you. I love mine so much I ordered second one as well as another pair of panties. It's such a pretty bra and since works as a neutral it's really practical too. without being boring.
Beautiful!
I love Sonia in the half cup cut! WOW!!
This is so pretty! It looks comfy. Want!
Looks pretty and I know its more than comfy :) Thanks for comparison brtween Plunge and Halfcup, now I'm even more addicted to the HC.
Sonia is so very pretty. I do want it, but I've been successful in not letting myself buy it. The more I see it posted on here, the weaker my resolve.
It looks lovely on you!
So pretty!
all of your Comexim reviews make me want to go Polish. I'll have to try them out once I clear my bra drawer of my current listings...
I got really lucky and ordered the right size! I couldn't be happier with this. It is SO pretty (I don't think the photos capture this) and the lace is really interesting.
The sides are really high which gives a nice secure feeling. The shape is round and slightly minimized as others have reported with this bra. It is really comfortable and easy to forget that you're wearing it.
The vertical seams do show under clothing so if that bothers you then that is something to be aware of with this bra. It doesn't bother me so I think I'll get a lot of wear out of this.
I was so excited that Comexim was willing to make this bra into a 3-part half cup, after the insane success I had with the Comexim Coco (381) bra! Unfortunately this bra doesn't have quite the same painted-on feeling that the Coco has for me. It is workable though.
The main difference is that the cups are slightly more open on the top edges of this bra, which causes some looseness. I am wondering if I might sew a ribbon or thin elastic onto the top edges to make them less floaty.
Other than that, I really like this bra. The band is nice and snug and the side coverage feels really good. The pink is pretty with the bluish (periwinkle?) accents on the cups.
I am not sure why the band is slightly folded/wrinkled in the photos. I think I just failed a little at putting the bra on.
Excitement filled my brain when I first saw this listed for sale on here! I love long lines and have been looking extensively for one in my size and at a decent price point for a while now. The brand being Comexim sealed the deal for me and the bra was bought hastily. It being a half cup was just icing on the cake. As is typical of my reviews, I wore this bra for a shift at work. The band felt fairly stretchy for a Comexim band. This is probably due to the fact that it was a well loved bra. Or this particular fabric is ...stretchier than their typical fabrics. It easily stretched to 30", but the cup wires began distorting after the 27"/28" point. It was really comfortable on, and even though the elastic was thinner at the bottom it did not dig into my waist. Just a nice comfortable hug. There is six hook columns but only two rows. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":-(" /> I wore it on the loosest hook because it felt like it would be firm enough, but over time the bra road up on my body to a thicker section. You can see the marks in my pictures. Maybe if I wore the bra on the second, tightest, hook it may be more stable. There is also no boning in the seams going to down the band. Which funnily enough is just about the same length as my under bust to waist measurement. The straps are fully adjustable. Made of the same "elastic" sort of material as the others. Although these ones have this satin layer on the visible side. The unnecessary loop-de-loop detail is decorating these straps as well. The wires on this particular bra seem a lot less soft and flexible than the other Comexims I have studied. It took quite a big of stretching for the wires to distort. They're about 4.25" wide at the top 4" at the middle of the cup. The wires touch at the top of the gore and get fairly wide towards the bottom of the gore/cups. These wires are a touch to narrow for me, I think. I like the coverage of this bra. The foam cup does not appear to be line with any fabric but seems to have softened greatly with wash and wear. Unfortunately it seems like this cup is just a bit too shallow for me. It's a three piece vertical seam cut n sew bra, as is the norm for a Comexim half cup bra. I fear that going up a cup size won't do much of anything besides raise the cup height instead of fixing my fit issues with this bra. The "65G"/30F even felt like it was squishing my boobs some. The cup has a somewhat open top, but still it closes in some. I believe the lace detailing that was sewn onto the outside of the cup causes the foam cups to curl inwards. The cups depth only goes up to about 6.8" at the top of the cup and the listed measurements (6.3") is about the middle of the cup. So, there really is not good projection anywhere on this cup. I saw a user some where suggested that we should lay the cup over our knee, stretch it out, and then measure the cup depth. This is the method I use for non-padded cups, but I don't agree with this for when one is measuring a padded/foam cup. Using that method equates to the same thing as measuring the outside of the cup, IMO. All in all, I really like the comfort of this bra. I will have to run another test with the band on the tightest hook to see if it stays in place any better. I really wish Comexim would line their foam cups more often. I don't really like the feel of raw foam against my skin, although it is not irritating. Women with any projection will not get along with this bra. I'd say I have about average projection and have all my fullness in the center (Not INNER fullness), and there is a thumb size worth of space between my breast and the under wire. My thumb is a bit over three quarters of an inch thick. When I force/push the wires under my breast I get massive cleavage though! I think most half cups should have a bit of padding in the bottom to actually boost the breast, counteract the "orange in a glass" effect, and allow more breast shapes to fit these shallow half cup shapes. I actually hate this colorway Love4Pollinators , lol it's far too busy for my liking. I'm starting to get the feeling that most half cups won't be a great fit on me. But I'm probably going to wear it because it is SO comfortable for me and I like the way it looks under clothing!
another comexim success! i got this bra well-loved so the band is a bit stretchy, and i do wish there were more than 2 rows of hooks, but it seems to be staying put so far (and in the worst case, it's nothing a quick alteration can't fix). wires are a bit too wide but not uncomfy. super soft and comfy!
When I ordered this bra I was still very confused about Comexim sizing. It worked for a while when I was more of a small 28E and didn't mind some quadding, but now I'm more of a 28F I'll have to re-order it in another size to get the right fit.
The Good: 1) SO PRETTY. 2) The wires follow my IMF perfectly. They are the perfect combo of narrow without digging and soft without being unsupportive. 3) The 60 band is perfect on the loosest hooks. I cried for joy. I'm a small 28 and finding bands that fit on the loosest hooks is like, my life goal. ...4) The seamed foam is so so soft and yet it covers the nip. HOW?? Magic. 5) This is the first gore ever that has been narrow enough to not sit on ANY of my close-set tissue even though the cups are too small. It comes slightly overlapped. Magic again. 6) The projection is perfect. The round-projected shape is what they are naturally, and they're both firm and stubborn so they will fight anything that doesn't match them. They do not resist the Ingrid.
The Bad: 1) This one's on me. I needed a 60F/G at the time and now I'm probably more of a 60H. There is so much quadding. And yet I still chose to wear it for ages over other bras I had because it was comfy. 2) As a result it also makes my boobs look quite small under shirts (smaller than they already look under shirts.)
The Ugly: There is no ugly. The hype for this bra is real. Excuse me while I go reorder it in 60H. Read more 173 more words
I got this bra used, therefore it is one band size smaller than I usually need for Comexim. I am FOB and rather high set. I knew the proper cup sizes in Comexim plunges from earlier tests but I wanted to improve some points, so luckily I could try this one. It has the bundle of alterations I always wanted to try. Reduced cup and core as well as overlapping gore. Compared to the standard cut the reduced cup and gore are a massive advantage for me. The cups are not so covering anymore and the lower gore makes this bra a true plunge. I was hoping that the ...overlapping gore would correspond do more center volume and bring my breasts closer together but this did not work (my breasts do never come even close to each other). I noticed that many ladies here say that the cups are rather shallow, I do notice that it is on the smaller side (I am only a breath away from quadding) but I would not say that it is much shallower than my standard plunge. As all of my Comexims the comfort is prefect, I almost do not notice that I am wearing a bra. Also, I absolutely love the design of the bra. It is a not so nude nude bra. The lace shows up below very thin tops but for the most days it works. I am very happy that I finally got this bra since I thought about getting it since it was released. Read more 144 more words
In my opinion this bra fits around a 28D. I wore it a couple of times when I measured a 28DD but had slight quadding. Now it's much too small (measure 28E) but I plan to rebuy it as a 60G.
This was my first Comexim purchase - a bit of a gamble because there's very little information out there on how Comexim fits in the smaller cup sizes, but as I need narrow wires and Comexim is supposed to fit very narrow all through the size ranges, I thought I'd give it a whirl. Firstly the Irish Coffee is an absolutely gorgeous bra - covered with cream-coloured lace on the cups and band, and with orange bows at the gore and on the straps which complement the brown edging to the cups. I love it!
I ordered size 60E, a straight conversion of what I thought was my size ...at the time (28DD). The band fits like a true 28, possibly even slightly loose, although I did find that on the first couple of wears the elastic at the bottom of the band cut in after wearing it for a while. The wires are narrow, as you'd expect from Comexim, and the cups are averagely though not super projected, and fairly open on top. I have narrow, tallish roots with a moderate amount of projection for my size, and the shape of the cups is pretty well perfect for me. One oddity about this bra is that the straps are super-stretchy. I'm not sure whether it's due to the size or the style or if it's just a one-off - the 60F I have in another style is much firmer. It's not a huge problem but feels a little strange when I'm used to less stretchy straps.
Though still a decent fit, after wearing the bra a few times I realized that the cups are a little too small - shape-wise they're great, so that I didn't actually notice they were too small initially, but if I tighten the band and straps I get slight quad boob. This isn't too surprising as I've since realized I'm closer to a 28E/60F, and the Comexim sizing table also puts me at a 60F if I take a 60 band as the starting point. That aside, this is a stunning bra and - sadly for my bank balance but happily for me - will definitely be the first of many Comexim purchases! Read more 260 more words
