Oh.My.God.Oh.My.God.Oh My God! Here I am wearing a size 28:7 bra! @Comexim Adore Plunge bra in 60F. This is my first shot at a Polish bra/ a bra based off of centimeters instead of inches. IMO, all brands should follow centimeters instead of inches as it is more accurate and allows for a greater range of sizes. It's so often you see women who need only a half cup size larger and that is just not available in UK/US bras. This bra fits! It actually FITS! It is my second real fitting bra (the other is more of a sexy bra, not an every day ...bra) that is not a sports bra. I will most likely try a 60E, 28:7 next time to compare and maybe get some cleavage like the Comexim models have. THE BAND. This band was SO comfortable for me. It had no digging and did not move around. It was just really snug, like a firm hug. Which just seems like witchcraft to me because the materials don't seem all that different from my Claudette's or other bras. I believe it is just two layers of power mesh with thick elastic binding. There this very pretty "extended" band coming off of the bottom of the functional band that is a single layer if mesh and a very thin piece of elastic. As pretty as it is, it is highly unnecessary and non-functional. When I wore the bra to my ten hour shift, it rolled up almost immediately and could no longer be seen. I did make sure you could see it in the pictures. THE CUP. This bra is considered to be a padded, plunge bra. Neither of which I feel are very descriptive of it. The cup is a three piece cup made out of very thin, stiff foam covered in a black mesh and finished with this darling gold binding at the top of the cup. This decorative binding causes the cup to be more closed on top, which is one of the main parts of this bra that I think make it fit me so great. While I do have tall-ish roots and I am mostly center/top full with more inner fullness that outer/bottom fullness, I feel that this cup fits me like a full coverage cup and follows the shape of my breast extremely well. The mesh does not feel particularly good or bad to my fingers, I don't really feel it all with my breasts. The left cup appears to be cut angled more upward and curled inward (smaller breast) while the right cup appears to cut straight coming out from the gore in an extreme-ish angle (larger breast). Because of this, the bra seems to fit my smaller breast better than my larger breast. The larger breast will gape before the smaller one will during normal activities where a stiff-padded cup bra would normally have a bit of gaping. The projection also seems quite perfect for me. If you need ALL THE PROJECTION, this bra may not be the best for you. THE WIRES. The wires on this bra are fairly firm, not as firm as some I have tried, but they certainly aren't flexible by any means. They are also fairly short. Shorter wires usually cause my tissue to escape over top of these short wires but this rarely happens with this bra. During a ten hour shift I only felt the need to pull the top of my breast back in the cup like 2 or 3 times. They also have that "perfect" wire width for me, directly in between narrow wires and wide wires for my size range (about 4.5"). The wires never dug in. THE GORE. Sits just about flat on my sternum and a little bit on my larger breast. I have this problem with are bra gores that are not plunges. The gore comes up way to high for me to consider this to be a plunge bra. It did seem to dig in from time to time. If it does not soften up with a few wears like my other bras have, I will simply bend them away from my body slightly. The wires do not overlap on this bra, they just sit cuddled next to each other. THE STRAPS. The pretty gold binding along the top of the cup continues up the straps, stopping at the shoulder. This detailing makes the straps only partially adjustable. Which is generally just fine for me. The back of the gold detail/the rest of the strap is a soft, supple elastic which is comfortable and forgiving. They are what I would call an average width. They're not delicate and thin but they're definitely not super thick and unnecessary. They are pretty wide though. I would like to try the narrowed straps, but the wide ones don't really bother me. Them being so wide makes it really easy to show off the beautiful decoration. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> OVERALL. I really can not think of anything bad to say about this bra besides it's name not accurately describing the bra. I'd definitely just call it 'The Adore Bra." The gore is a normal height, the cups are a normal height and it's definitely not a full-cup bra. It perhaps could be called a balcony bra with a plunge-like detail. IMO, the cups create a fairly straight line across the chest with a slight plunge down to the gore. It's beautiful. It's comfortable. It fits like a dream and the quality is high and noticeable. It could easily become a push-up bra if it have cookie pockets or a nice bump pad in the bottom. Perhaps a sling to assist with pulling the tissue even further towards the center of the chest. I LOVE THIS BRA & look forward to trying more from @Comexim . Read more 875 more words
I'm glad you found such a great fit! be warned, I've heard that sometimes Comexims are inconsistent. Also, every time you mention a 10 hour shift I cringe a little and feel so damn lazy lol ok, and lucky, but still
I have noticed the inconsistencies among comexim bras....I've found such a huge variety of sizes that may fit me from them (seriously from like 60D-60H & 65D-65F, s**ts bonkers!). It seems that way with Ewa as well. I know the ten hour shifts can be brutal. At first thought it's like; "oh yeah, awesome three days off instead if two!" Until you realize your working an extremely laborious job and you essentially sleep the entirely of one if those days! But it certainly puts the bras to the test when it comes to comfort, stability and quality! I actually think I'm beginning to prefer non-padded bras dbmamaz the shape the good ones give me under clothes is just so nice. I never thought I would touch one. I'm quite eager to try the semi-soft and non-padded bra from comexim and other polish brands.
LeProfessor I think some of the older models fit differently than newer, mostly in the bands. I’ve been lucky, my Ewa’s are more consistent than the Comexim. I ordered four half cups and only one fits.
Would you say the newer bands run tighter or looser Sovavosi ? I really quite like this one. Super snug/tight without the tendency to dig in.
Mostly looser, like 29". I have a new one (Belen) that only stretched to 28". Your snug rib is significantly under 28 so this shouldn't make any difference to you though.
The bands tend to vary based on material stretchiness, but I've found that to be the case with all brands, not just the Polish ones. We just notice it more now since we aren't wearing the super loose bands that are a few sizes too big. Also custom made bras will run somewhat inconsistent due to the nature of production...then again the factory line ones were inconsistent too..... LeProfessor Try to keep in mind that aside from human manufacturing variations, we do have human measuring variations too, so the range you see isn't necessarily going to fit you. It's more of a guideline than a rule....and why am I suddenly envisioning The Pirates of the Caribbean? !? Parlay anyone? :-)
Hmm. That means I may end up being comfortable in their 26 bands then. All my favorite bands so far measure 26" stretched. This particular bra can stretch up to 28" but the cups start to warp after the 26" mark. Most thin women like me seem to like a band measurement closer to their loose measurement (28"), but I seem to like mine closer to my snug measurement (26"). So, if their 28/60 bands run a bit looser (28/29"), their 26/55 bands should theoretically run abit looser too, 26/27"..... so many bras to try...so many bras. Super glad I'm not nearly as wide as originally thought (or my boobs migrated back to where they belonged very quickly) or I would be SOL on all these fantastic bras! ...I'm going to start sketching out designs and looking up patterns for bras...
LeProfessor I think you might want a band closer to your loose than your snug. A band that only stretches to 26" might feel too tight on you if your ribcage is bony. My ribcage is ~26.5", I could probably fit in a 26 but Polish 28s work and are easier to come by.
I agree with Sovavosi on this one. Going too tight is not good for your body-your skin or your breasts. Bands are more harmful tight than corsets. My loose underbust is 27" and honestly there are days I prefer the 65 bands due to sensitive skin. Measure your comfortable snug underbust in a seated position before making a decision for sure. Ribs tend to flare when seated & that will effect comfort and pain....
that looks like a super great fit on you. welcome to the glorious world of polish bras lol.
This looks fantastic on you! I tried this bra a while ago and it was a shape mismatch for me. I found the Rita similar in shape, so that might work for you too. The whole band length thing can be so frustrating. My underbust is 24/25/26" and I find 60 is usually good in Comexim. My latest 60s tend to stretch to 26".
Thank you for the recent information Sonya it's sometimes so frustrating that brands change their patterns/sizing year-over-year , but we all know it's for the best fit! I was so excited to finally be able to try one yogurt I'll be sure to not let many on here pass through my fingers again! I also wanted to thank you and let you know that I often wander over to your page and read through your reviews & compare the bra measurements of others to your measurements. Lol. I understand what you guys are saying Sovavosi and MamaPagan and it's the exact reason why I've only gotten 28 & 30 bands do far. But in my experience so far, my favorite bands currently stretch to 26". This one included.
Looks gorgeous on you!
Love the aesthetics of this bra. So glad you found a fantastic fit!!
Thanks so much for all your lovely comments! I hope I have a continuing success rate and I hope the same thing for all of you!
Finally got this reviewed on my blog, alongside the 65F. Whew! I only took 3 hours Dx I still want to add additional photos when it gets light outside, so I shall add that later today, if that matters xD
Very useful review, especially being able to compare the regular cut with reduced cups. I've just ordered my first Comexim plunge, asking only for cookie pockets to be added, as I wasn't sure which, if any, other alterations I might need. I seem to be a similar size and shape to you, so it's very handy to know that reduced cups are unlikely to be a good match to my shape either. Thanks for sharing this!
alexad You're welcome! And yes, I think my biggest issue with the altered cups are that my fullness is all in the centers because I'm conical/tuberous. I think ayone who has lots of fullness all around might be alright with that alteration, but otherwise it takes the center depth near the gore/coverage there away.
Good luck with your order! I hope it works out well for you :D
*is xD
I know it's been a while, so I hope you won't mind a further comment on this, and perhaps helping to clear up a bit of a mystery for me?! I have trouble figuring out where I have any fullness, as I don't seem to have any at the top, or bottom, and I assumed that centre full meant a lot of cleavage, which I also don't have (although I'm close-set). What I do have is a rather conical shape, so all my volume is in the middle of my boobs, but I have little overall fullness - could that be described as centre fullness, or am I misunderstanding?
alexad I don't mind at all! =D I honestly think the term is used by people to mean both. I may be mis-using it, but I describe myself as very center full and your shape sounds very similar to mine.
I'm a bit more tuberous, so my shape is pretty much as narrow and projected as you can get, but I call that center full a lot because I don't have your typical FoB or FoT shapes. I basically have almost no bottom tissue and very little upper tissue.
When others say center full however, I usually think they are talking about how much tissue they have towards where their bra gore would be. =)
alexad Actually, now that I think of it I probably use the term interchangeably hahaha
I wish you could edit on these because I keep hitting the "add comment" before I'm done. Dx lol
Anyway, I think instead of saying center-full for how much your boobs stick out, "projected" is probably more accurate. =)
Thanks for your reply! I felt a bit bad for bothering you with something so trivial once I realised you were dealing with some health concerns at the moment (hope things are improving now?).
But anyway, I think we may indeed be quite similar in shape. I'm pretty much all central projection (which, because I'm so pointy, also equates to immediate projection), and I have wondered whether I might have mildly tuberous breasts, although I've never sought a medical opinion on that.
I also don't know whether I'm becoming more narrow, or just beginning to recognise how narrow I really am - the wires of almost every bra I own in the correct volume seem to extend quite some way beyond my roots. So, I really think Polish is going to be where it's at for me.
Thanks again!
alexad Aww it's really np at all! I think I'm ok, things haven't been as bad for about a week now. :)
It's hard to tell when it comes to being just mildly tuberous. I couldn't tell for a long time if I was sagging or tuberous, and then I realized that my breasts don't really lie below my IMF at all, so definitely tubey!
The wires are where I have my problems too, and it's actually causing a bit of indecisiveness about my size right now. 30E FoB/even bras work depth-wise, but 30D-DD wires are best. I have Comexims in 60F-65E-65F-60G right now and they all basically fit somehow.
Anyway, but yeah, I'm sure Polish will work great for you! :) The next best that I've found fit-wise was Fauve Grace.
I'm glad things are getting better - the pain sounded awful!
Yes, I'm self-supporting too, so I've never been sure about being tubular, as the definition often includes being pendulous, but I guess with a mild form that might not always the case.
I generally use depth as the guideline for sizing, as I think that's the crucial element for me. I can wear wires that are a bit too wide without any issues, but not having the right depth (usually corresponding to 30E) is a deal-breaker for me, as I need this to get a pleasing shape.
Thanks for the tip on the Fauve Grace - I'll see if I can track one down!
It's a bra with the moon on it. How really awesome!
So I bought this bra from a boutique all the way on the other side of the country (thanks kerniss!). $55 (+ $5 shipping) for a 60F that I figured wouldn't fit (given my try on of a 60F Ingrid). But you know what? This actually isn't terrible. As long as I don't totally swoop and scoop. If I press the gore down I do quad out and if I bend and shake, my left side comes out, cleavage like whoa though. Falling out is typically a deal breaker for me, but I was going to ...make an exception for the moon (how could I not? This bra controls the tides!). Turns out I don't have to since a kind user sold me her 60H. I'll admit, even having a better fitting one, I'm still tempted to keep this. If I shrink, I'll never be able to replace it. But cooler heads prevail, and I've not actually shrunk in about 3 years or so despite intentional weight fluctuations. So, I guess I won't be greedy. Anyway, this is probably the softest bra in the world. It's made of clouds, no kidding. I have a few Comexims now and a lot of really nice and comfortable bras. This one is the softest ever, Victoria's Secret soft. I feel like this particular model runs a little bit bigger. I'm in a 65G/60H in Comexim and I could have pulled this off. The wires on the sides are a hairs breadth from sitting on tissue, but I wasn't collapsing the cup. Though I may have if I actually wore it for any amount of time. This is just under the 5x8-8.5 cup dimension I like in a lined bra, so 60F.5ish? If you can find one in a size that you can make work, do it. It's really unique and so comfortable. First things first, almost every part of this bra is a different shade of the same color. See pics for clarification. They blend and work fantastically together, and almost appear to be the same, but they're not. Secondly, the lace overlay is beautiful but already starting to pill over the cup. Neither are really a big deal, but something to be aware of.
I got this with an overlapping gore, straps moved in 2 cm, and cookie pockets. I feel like this asks for a hair more center projection than I have, but the slight shallowness pushes my boobs up and in, almost managing to compensate. Love it!
It is beautiful, but almost looks like the cups are too narrow for you, it looks as if the wire is digging in on the side, although you do look amazing in it.
Thanks, ladies! And thelittleone , I think you're right. I have to wait a few days to see if it's PMS or what, but it feels amaaaaazing anyway. Good eye! :)
My first Comexim bra. Fits almost perfect. The gore is a little bit high for me, it doesn't lie absolutely flat, but it is not a great problem. I think underwires could be longer, but it is also not a big issue. I like the cup size and shape, I like the band size, it is perfect for me. Cups are soft, very comfortable and gorgeous. I like this bra. I will not wear it as everyday bra, but it will be one of my favourite.
60s fit. Measurements say I can wear a 60 comfortably. But it fees too tight for me. Not this 60 in particular, just my preference in general to have a bit more give. This bra is so luxurious! The feel of the fabrics and the touches of metallic accents. I did remove the tassel as it was a bit too much for my taste, for my size. I saw one in a 75J (ish?) and the tassel looked so much more balanced given the size of the cups. I might try this bra again in a 65E or F.
I can't sing the praises of this bra enough! Whoever thought this gorgeous of a bra would actually fit *and* be comfortable *and* make me look good??
I decided to take the risk of trying a narrow Polish bra because most of my bras felt like there was extra space on the sides by the wires. I couldn't tell my root width because it looked like it was angled or slanted, widening out higher up like the Nike swoop. As it turns out, these narrow Polish cups cause me no discomfort either at the sides or at the gore. I can't tell if that's because the construction is ...narrow enough that the wires are well clear of tissue, because I'm used to the harsh, hard wires of Cleo and these wires are normal by comparison, or because the band is surprisingly loose (measuring at 29"+ for a 60 band).
Nonetheless, this is one of the most comfortable bras I've worn since leaving the bra matrix, and it plumps up my cleavage without any pads and doesn't flatten me out under a shirt like a lot of molded bras do. I've gotten tired of the front-and-center placement of Cleos that narrow me out completely from the front and hide my boobs unless I'm in profile, and this bra keeps me round all over and evenly distributed.
I could use a hair more projection in this bra since my scoop and swoop settles down slightly, but for a molded bra I'm not complaining! I can't tell if this bra had a manufacturing anomaly with the band being Freya-stretchy, but I would go down to a 55 if I could.
I'm pretty much in love with Comexim bras at the moment. I bought this one after trying the Irish Coffee in a 60E and finding it slightly too small, so got this in a 60F. It's a really cute and fun bra, flirty where the Irish Coffee is sexy. The shape is pretty similar to the Irish Coffee: fairly open on top, narrowish wires (though noticeably wider than the 60E), with a medium amount of projection. The band is a normal 28 - I wouldn't recommend that anyone with similar measurements to me (27" snug) should size up in the band. I don't get spectacular cleavage in this ...bra, or in Comexims in general, but I do get a very nice shape I can only describe as "perky". They're the type of bras I can wear to work and still feel I have boobs, without being all "Hey! Would you look at my boobs, they're right here!!!"
I also ordered the matching undies, and they're just as cute as the bra. The back is frilly rather than elasticated, which means it doesn't cut in at all (I was a bit worried about that because they're shorts style undies, which usually aren't all that flattering on me). I'm definitely ordering the matching set in Comexim from now on, for which my bank balance isn't thanking me but whatever bank balance, like I care. Read more 123 more words
The cups do run a bit small (somewhere between 1 and 2 cups smaller than their size chart suggests), and the band was a bit tighter than I was expecting, but... she's so beautiful. I have rather tall roots (although it's mostly shallow "stealth boob" that doesn't show up until I put on a bra), so, even though I sized up a cup size, a 60F was a bit too short in the cups, as well as being a little tight in the band. Okay, it was uncomfortably tight in the band; I have a 28.5" underbust and absolutely should have just gone with a 65 (a 70 ...would definitely be too big, though). I think a 65F would be perfect. The straps are fully adjustable, and I requested that they be moved in for my narrow shoulders. The wires seem narrower than average, but maybe it's just the fact that they're so close together in the center gore that makes them seem narrow? They're nearly touching, which is apparently pretty great for cleavage. The seams/lace detail/bows do show slightly under tight, thin shirts. I wouldn't say it's padded, but there's enough of a lining to hide the fact that I do, in fact, have nipples. As for shape, it's round without being unnatural-looking, with quite a bit of lift. To me, the cups seem neither shallow nor projected, but this is the first bra I have ever worn that I could even pretend fits, so I don't have much to compare it to. As far as longevity goes, I wore this bra several times a week until I outgrew it about a year after buying it, and the wires aren't doing anything weird or painful, it seems to have kept its shape well, and the band is still uncomfortably tight, although perhaps a little less so than when I first bought it. I still have to use the loosest hook. Read more 214 more words
It's not just a black bra, it's special! The tassel is so unique and the little black line at the bottom of the band is attached with impossibly delicate little threads, practically invisible. It doesn't feel delicate though, it seems like a very sturdy construction.
The band is borderline too tight, though I just got it so I can't say how it will stretch with time. I find it tighter than Basic and Dottie.
The fabric is a little rougher than the Basic and Dottie, probably because of the mesh. It's a little bit more closed on top as well.
Finallyyyy a padded tan bra that works! After failing in all plausible versions and sizes of Deco and happening to find that Comexim works for me, I went for this. Gives infinite times more support than my old VS Pink tan padded bra.
The seam shows through thin shirts slightly.
The straps are a bit thick and sturdy for my liking, but it feels so much more supportive than my old tan 32B, so that's not a dealbreaker for me.
It's a very comfortable and soft fabric, like the old VS Pink bras I used to wear. I think this makes the band a bit more stretchy than my other Comexims, but not so much that I need to size down in the band.
This is a very comfortable bra, but it just doesn't fit me. After experimenting with Comexim I would say that the wires, while narrow, are not for someone FOB. I think this bra would fit someone more evenly full. This bra has a reduced cup size and gore, but I think it still gives rather full coverage for someone in the smaller size range. The band is on the stretchy side with some give.
First off this bra is beautiful. I love the bow, the lace, and the overall look. Unfortunately, the seams show through thin light colored fabric, but I was afraid it would be worse. It's wearable with a lot of different clothes.
The wellfitting calculator put me at a 55G, but I heard that both band and cup run small so I tried a few sizes. I found that the band runs a little big and the cup small, so this size didn't work out for me. I'm not sure the shape does either, but wires the seemed to be as narrow as I need.
If someone thought the shape would work for them, I'd recommend it as a comfortable, pretty, and reasonably priced bra.
You can look for a more detailed review in my 55H.
I'm glad you found such a great fit! be warned, I've heard that sometimes Comexims are inconsistent. Also, every time you mention a 10 hour shift I cringe a little and feel so damn lazy lol ok, and lucky, but still
