After my fail with the 65G - Ewa Michalak » Sm Czarna Mgiełka (481), I really wanted to get a sheer black bra that fits, so I custom-ordered this Moulin Rouge 3HC as I've had success with Comexim's unlined 3HC before. I also had it made in a long line as I've wanted to try one for a long time. I've also put in a request to have a narrow and overlapped gore.
My usual UK size is 28FF/G, and my shape is projected, FOT, narrow and tall roots, super close-set, soft and self-supporting.
I don't think I'll buy another long line bra again because I'm so clumsy ...and there are so many (5) hooks on this bra. The band feels snug even though it measures 29" stretched.
The cups are narrow, projected and open on top. My only minor complaint is that it's slightly too shallow near the centre, and with how close-set I am, the gore shifts to one side a little.
The bra is simple and sexy, and I'm pleased with the quality and fit. I kind of regret having it made in a long line because it could've been a great summer bra with the thin mesh but the longer band is going to make the heat feel worse. Read more 103 more words
It looks great on you! Do you find that the longline makes it feel more supportive than a regular bra, or is it about the same?
Okay, I'm so curious about these longline bras! And I go back and forth with the bras I want to order - I'm like, should I request it longline and just regular? Lol. It's a tough call but I think I'm going to request a longline of a bra that I already have, so I can compare them.
I'm worried too about connecting the hooks in the back, it will take extra time, but also I'm wondering if it will give me better posture/back support.
I could just do posture exercises, but I thought a longline bra would make me stand up straight. Lol.
ComeAtMe_Bra BraOdyssey I tried wearing the bra all day and can report back now! The band hugs my ribcage nicely, is supportive and prevents slouching but only in the mid-back. It doesn't really help with upper back/ shoulder posture. But it's comfortable and surprisingly does not feel too constricting in the summer heat. Compared to a regular bra, the level of support and lift isn't really different. But it does feel more stable and moves less. Hope this is helpful!
So this bra is not as much of a sh*tshow as my new Comexim Clara. It's a cup size up from my secondhand 60J Scottie Half Cup that's now way too small in the cup. I asked for the straps to be moved inward and the gore to be overlapped, which they did. I think this fabric is so fun and cheery! I bought the matching Figi in size S, which fits my ~23.5" waist and ~37" hips fairly well but isn't as flattering as the matching bottoms for my Lilly.
When I first put this bra on, I was kind of mystified. The effect is much less dramatic ...in photos, but in person, it kind of looks like I'm wearing two different halves of the same bra. This type of bra really does not work well for my asymmetry; I get a little bit of quadding on my bigger side, gapping on my smaller side, and the gore twists so that only the part of it on my smaller side sits flat against my sternum, making the bow nearly invisible. Putting cookies in Comexim bras usually doesn't help me because the cookie just pushes the bra further away from my body instead of functioning to fill the cup more, worsening the problem. The cup wrinkles where it meets the strap, I think because of my lack of upper fullness, and there's also wrinkling at some other (kind of random) spots on the bra. This bra is wearable and very cute, but not particularly comfortable and the mediocre fit doesn't really flatter me. Read more 154 more words
This bra's measurements have been altered
Altered straps,
Gore overlapped, straps moved in 2cm
I honestly think they hired someone new which did not know how to overlap the gore properly - I'm getting the twisty gore thing on both of the bras in my BF orders - 60L - Comexim » Basic Half Cup and 60K - Comexim » Clara Half Cup . I've never had this issue with Comexim before and I've ordered from them quite a few times. I tried taking apart and then re-overlapping the gore on the Basic and it got better. I'm thinking of sending Joanna an email about this, since looks like I'm not alone! Maybe they need some overlapping gore training for the new hire lol.
kate166 how strange! I actually had the same issue on my Comexim Paola and Lilly that I received several months ago. I would just request to have the gore lowered but who knows if they could do that or how it would affect the fit of the bra.
kate166 My 65K - Comexim » Topaz arrived this morning and the gore on that is also twisting, so you may be right.
moonshineforest VirtualPurple Joanna replied - "This could be happening because we are doing a very overlaping gore", and with more close-up pictures of the gore, she said "Just like I thought tunnel overlaps with tunnel." I don't really understand what she means, but I'm guessing the gore is too overlapped along the top & middle when it should only be overlapped at the very top?
Regarding the lowered gore, I used to frequently order this alteration a few years ago (until my cup size got bigger that I need the higher gore for support), and I think it made the centre of the cup a little shallower.
I am so happy with this bra! *I ordered it with cup height reduced 2cm and straps moved inward 2cm.* I am not sure whether they actually did the strap alteration, since the straps aren't nearly as wide-set as Ewa Michalak bra straps but still definitely not perfect. However, it's clear that they did the cup height reduction and I'm super happy with it! I'm definitely glad I ordered a cup size up to compensate for the resultant decrease in cup depth, since the cups seem like a perfect fit. I'm not sure why the gore doesn't quite tack, but it doesn't bother me. BTW, if you have ...trouble with gores being too tall, you may have an issue here -- the digging in only bothers me sometimes but I can imagine that it would be really annoying for someone whom gore height commonly affects.
The Ingrid floral print is stunning as always. I really love how the fabric looks almost vintage, with the almost rusty color of the bows adding to the effect. I honestly think this is one of my prettiest bras and although the cup height reduction was purely for comfort (to mitigate the super-tall-cup syndrome that Comexim plunges get), I think it adds to the appearance.
The band is VERY tight! I had to wear it with an extender for the first few days, and I still use an extender for comfort for time to time. It's a nice TTS 26, stretching to exactly 26.0 before the wires begin to distort. The wires are perfectly narrow enough for my larger breast and just the tiniest bit too wide for my smaller one, but of course I'd prefer that over having them sit slightly on top of my larger breast. There's not a TON of depth at the wire, but I definitely don't get the bottom-of-cup gapping that I did with my 60J Basic Plunge.
Now that everyone has learned how much I tend to ramble in my reviews, here's an overview: Cup height reduction completely fixed the armpit-cup issue, but I'd definitely recommend sizing up if you request that alteration. Obviously gorgeous appearance -- I'm so glad to have an Ingrid that fits since it's my third try with this stunning bra (glad I persevered!). Gore sometimes digs into my chest at the top, but it's no big deal for me and it's comfortable otherwise. Read more 290 more words
I love my Ingrid. It’s not a perfect fit but it’s pretty good, and the few fitting issues I have with it are hidden.
It looks perfect on you! I love my Ingrid too, despite the tall cups.
This looks like a great fit on you! I'm worried now though.... I'm waiting for a couple 60 band Comexim's, but they won't fit if they stretch to less than 27"!
oh I just realized you reviewed this in July! Oh well...
I've been wearing a 30G Basic Plunge from Breakout Bras and from the beginning had a lot more issues with gapping when I moved my arms than any of my other Comexim bras in the same size. I recently figured out some of my fit issues were stemming from my band size getting smaller unexpectedly and while I knew I needed a 28 band I wasn't sure if I needed a GG or an H. 28GG would be the sister size to what I was wearing but when I ordered a new 30G Gloria a few weeks ago it ...made me quad boob pretty bad and the band was loose so I had to exchange it for a 28H (and was what actually made me realize my band size had dropped.) So I just went for the H because that was the size Breakout had in all 3 of the bras I wanted and it fits! The straps don't dig into my armpits like the 30G's did initially, there's a lot less gapping when I move, and I don't feel like I have to pull my boobs out of my armpits 24/7 anymore! Band is definitely snug but still comfortable.
The gore does still sit on one of my boobs just slightly and the straps slightly dig into my armpits but it's already better than just about every other bra I've tried so I'm not concerned. When I eventually decide to order directly from Comexim with alterations I'll probably overlap the gore and maybe bring the straps in just a touch to adjust for those issues but overall I'm extremely happy with the fit! yea! wait, did you happen to post on reddit, and I tried to give you fit advice?
Yeah, I did! Your advice was actually super useful! I kept the post up but removed the imgur link because I got two creeps in my dms and was annoyed. Decided to just do another Breakout order because I needed new bras ASAP.
Oh, okay. Good to know!! So glad this worked out for you. Comexims are great bras. I'm a big fan of Polish bras for my shape. I also like their creativity and wide range of styles/colours.
Also, I wanted to add: I'm glad you figured out your best size for this particular bra b/c - gaping in the cup can sometimes be a bit counterintuitive. Sometimes people think - it's too big if there's some gaping, when it can actually be too small and going up a cup or two will help.
Plus, with Comexim, all of their letters - like J, K, sound so big...but it's just their own system, lol.
When I post fit pics on Reddit I put my measurements or a stock photo as the first pic of the Imgur album, so the thumbnail wouldn’t be boobs. I also only put the link at the bottom and mention in the middle of the bra science paragraph that fit pics are in the link, as I assumed crepes wouldn’t be interested in that discussion.
Looks good, glad it works for you! Now you can order with comexim directly and ask for alterations. Straps moved in are awesome in my experience :)
I’ve been wanting to try this bra and finally went for it but ordered the wrong cup size. I absolutely love this bra. It’s very comfortable and light. I like the shape it gives and I just love how it feels. I ordered a 28H (60K) from breakout bras and I’m not sure why I didn’t order 28HH (60L). I am not sure if I should order one cup size larger or two? 🤔
I wasn't able to find the best size for myself in the Onyks; fyi, I sized down 1 in the band and only up 2 cups sizes - I still needed to go up one cup size.
Hope that helps! But I didn't really find my correct size in the Onyks, so I'm not entirely sure I know what I'm talking about, lol. But I think I would've needed to go down 1 band, up 3 cups, from my normal UK bra size. Again, I only went up 2 cups, and I felt like I needed to go up one more.
Do you know: what is your size in their padded plunge?
BraOdyssey Yes, I do remember her review and saying that! My best fit has been in a 60L. So I’m not exactly sure why I ordered a 60K lol. Maybe I should order a 60M then. I am afraid it will be too big 😕
damaries , I know...it's a tough call. There's one 60M Onkys in bratabase, but she didn't add the measurements (only pics), so there's nothing to compare to! : (
BraOdyssey I saw that 😞 I think I’m leaning towards going with the 60L and if it’s too small then I’ll exchange again for the 60M. Breakout bras probably hate me 😂🙈 I do so much exchanging lol
damaries, hey, they offer free shipping/returns, so I would take it! Even my friend who works for amazon said, "Don't feel bad about buying and returning from amazon if it doesn't fit." He knows how many $billions$ they make, lol.
seriously though, they offer it as a service, and I wouldn't have brought my bras through BoB if they didn't have the easy exchanges.
My UK size is about 28G and my shape is projected, FOT, narrow and tall roots, super close-set, soft and self-supporting. The Clara was shown on the website as a lined plunge, and this unlined 3HC is a custom request.
I have a 60K - Comexim » Moulin Rouge 3hc Longline that fits perfectly so I ordered the same size, but the cups of this bra are stretchy and more projected, so I would say it fits like a 28GG.
The cups are narrow, projected and a little bit tall. The gore twists, maybe due to the cups being too big and me being very close-set. I'm not getting much lift from this bra, but I think a cup or 2 smaller would be great.
Wow, that is a beautiful bra, one of the prettier Comexims I’ve seen. I have a question, do you think it’s possible to request ANY bra as unlined?! I like the Eris but I hate padding, but not sure they be able to do it. Thank you!
thecurvypetite I think it's possible, but I'm not sure, so it's better to email Joanna to ask. :) I find the unlined version a cup bigger than the lined one because of how stretchy the cups are, so you might want to order a cup smaller than usual. They sent me the padded version 60K - Comexim » Clara Half Cup the first time but followed up with the correct order quickly.
5'3, 26HH, FOT, tall and narrow roots, center full, projected, average to high set.
Look: I was so worried that it would look trashy, but it doesn't! I look at this set and I think of either a high-end stripper or a Russian spy with a lipstick tazer in a James Bond movie, lol. It's just so sexy! The red eyelash lace is showstopping. The gore is higher than I expected, and the "C" charm is much more subtle (thank god). It doesn't pass the white t-shirt test. The garter belt was plain black and rather disappointing, there were no decorations or red ribbons over ...the clips as shown in the stock photo.
Fit: Rita Rita Rita.... So pretty, but such a weird fit. This bra is kind of shallow, with little projection at the wire. I'd asked for 1cm added depth at the wire and 3x4 hooks for this and the beauty. Nether were completed on either bra. So the Rita might have actually been slightly too big if it had enough projection at the wire. My boobs are forced upwards in the cup and I only have a little bit of quadding on my larger side. The gore lays as flat as a Comexim gore can. The band is TTS. They sent me a size small panty instead of a medium (I ordered a S belt and M panty, since my waist is 25" and my hips are 38") I doubt that they'll fit, I'm going to hold off on trying them on until I decide if I'mkeeping the set or not. They are a true thong though and not Comexim's usual "Cheeky" that passes for a thong. The garter belt was loose on my waist, even on the tightest hook, there's no way it could hold up stockings. I'dprobablyhave to use the silicone banded kind. Overall, this was neither a bra win nor a bra bust. I haven't decided if I'm keeping the set yet. Read more 222 more words
Stats for reference: FOT, centre full, close & low set, soft tissue, short & narrow roots, and projected.
Look: This 3HC beauty is honestly a true beauty! It's a light cream bra with elegant black lace overlay - a truly timeless piece https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> The lace covers the cups and wraps around the sides of the bra with an eyelash lace finish just under my arms. It is relatively smooth under clothes so super versatile. It offers more coverage than other (non-comexim) half cups I've tried in the past; beauty has more of a V-shape neckline (highest point of the cups by the straps) while ...others tend to have more of a scoop/ square-neckline (cups are about the same height/ straight across the chest). The V-shape neckline lends itself to more support and the bra is so beautiful I don't mind the extra coverage at all https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Fit: I've had good experiences with vertical seamed half cups (e.g. EM CHP, Masquerade Rhea, CK Ritzy) and they all give me lovely cakes-on-a-plate style aesthetics with a rounded side profile (that I am addicted to). When I first tried the beauty, I was a little confused with the fit as it seemed to minimise my chest (flatten and spread cup volume over a wider area) more so than my other half cups with no 'cakes-on-a-plate'. HOWEVER, as the beauty has comfy, wide straps I could shorten them a lot more than other bras. As a consquence, this lifted my chest higher than I ever knew they could go and revealed 'cakes-on-a-plate' with buttcrack cleavage (I had to do a double take because they looked like I had had breast augmentation!) and a nice round side profile. One cup does quad a little on my larger side but I'm also on the fuller part of my cycle at the moment so this should not be a problem.
TL;DR = Why I get amazing aesthetics in this bra? 1) BAND - I've gone from 32 bands (pre-ABTF journey) to mainly wearing 30/ 28 bands now. After feeling the support in this beauty's band I think small 28 or 26 bands are ideal for me. 2) STRAPS - Wide straps make such a massive difference! Shortening them lifted my bust super high without hurting my shoulders to give the 'cakes-on-a-plate' look ( I think this is the main reason I can't shorten the straps of my other halfcups to reach the same aesthetic comfortably). I also think that having the straps moved in 1cm helped as they do not irritate my Spence's tail. 3) GORE - The gore is overlapped and incredibly narrow on this bra which is great for my close-set chest and give the 'buttcrack cleavage' look. However I do still see it sit on my breast tissue slightly... I think that's due to my breast tissue being literally next to each other (essentially no separation) so probably not much I could do about it. Perhaps trying stronger underwires might be an option? Overall, I get the same 'cakes-on-a-plate' and rounded side profile in this bra as my other vertical seamed half cups. It is comfier and provides more support while also slightly minimising. The amount of uplift I get in this bra beats all my other bras and I'm excited to try a comexim plunge style that fits (which I think would offer more projection).
Beauty is really a beauty. The Comexim half cups are a bit more minimizing than the plunges but the shape is still really nice and sometimes it works better than others under certain tops.
You're so welcome! And thank you for writing a thorough review, It's an amazing resource for all of us. This review will help at least one person decide to buy the beauty or not :)
Calluna Thanks, I've bought a plunge in (what I think) is my size so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it works out :)
This perhaps the prettiest bra I have ever owned. It the lace is so gorgeous and a lovely pale cream. I feel like snow white wearing it.
The materials on the bra are top quality. The band is made from very soft, silky powermesh and has a very smoothing effect. It is a firm 28 band - my favourite. The straps are wide and really comfortable. The gore is low and narrow. The wires are narrow and not too firm, and the cups have good immediate projection. The bra has all the ingredients of a perfect bra.
This bra is really comfortable - it is almost unnoticeable. ...I do have some quadding in the bra, so it is technically too small, but it feels comfortable enough to continue to wear. This bra is so pretty that I am debating ordering it in a 60L with a reduced cup height. This bra came to me from Sonya who found it to be too small. She has since had some luck with 60Ls - so I am very tempted! Read more 73 more words
This bra's measurements have been altered
Altered straps,
Custom made into a 3HC with straps moved in 2 cm, cup height reduced, and cotton cookie pockets added.
Beautiful on you. You do look like snow white! It doesn't look small in the pictures, but I'm sure you probably notice it in person. I LOVE how comfortable Comexim bras are. The most comfortable bras I've ever tried.
So so pretty! Looks great on you. I dont see quadding but I know photos are deceiving
That looks so pretty on you!
This is one that I really want. Like really really. :) Now it’s a matter of size.
Wow! This one looks gorgeous on you too. And looks like it might work as a nude?
rachaell- Anya has more 60L hatlfcups if you want to try a size up. I will probably get more from her. I just need to sell a couple of mine first.
Sonya how do you find the height of the 60Ls? I like the height of the reduced 60Ks, I worry that a 60L will be too tall.
Sonya Its works great as a nude. One (the only) perk of being pale
Calluna It is so so gorgeous. I wish I could get it in just half a cup bigger. I still have not mastered Comexim sizing
AprilGoulding thanks! The quadding is admittedly pretty minor. A tiny bit more depth would made it a perfect fit.
Wilderness1 thank you! Comexim is exceedingly comfortable - and their shipping to CAD is so reasonable. This is a very dangerous combo
rachaelll- I will measure my new Gilda now (regular cup height) and post it.
Sonya thanks! I am really curious about how it fits. Also, the Gilda is ridiculously gorgeous - that hot pink is amazing.
Gilda's cup height is 6.8" whereas my Hot Chocolate is 6.2". Gilda is a cup size larger, though, so not a huge difference. And yes, she's a beauty!
The cups are pretty wide, though (5.8").
Sonya eek! that is wide. How is the fit? Is it comfortable despite the width?
I only quickly tried it on. I just measured Belle de Nuit and it's 5.9" wide. I will wear Gilda tomorrow and assess it for comfort. The Rose plunge I bought from Anya is only 5" wide, which should be about perfect, but the cups are nearly 8" tall!
Just curious, but is the the same as the honey cookie half cup that’s already got information on it here or is that one different than this, aside from the alterations? I see it says made into a 3hc...does that mean that the regular honey cookie half cup isn’t a 3hc?
When I ordered it, it was a plunge and I asked for it to be made into a 3HC. I just checked the website now, and you can order it as a 3HC or plunge. I'm not sure if I missed the 3HC listing before or if it is new.
Calluna Comexim has two half cup styles: 2HC which has one vertical seam (like Safiya) and the 3HC that has 2 vertical seams like this one.
rachaelll- I've been wearing Gilda for a few hours and it's overall pretty comfy. It sits well below my IMF, though, but most bras do. The wideness of the cups/wires is not feeling uncomfortable, but I prefer the look I get from narrow cups. My breasts looks wider and taller and less projected with these halfcups. I think my next Comexim venture will be trying plunges with reduced cup height (as well as straps moved in and cookie pockets added).
MamaPagan But the existing file for the half cup is for a 3 part cup. The honey cookie on the site is a 3HC. There’s plunge too.
The existing file for the honey cookie half cup which is already a 3HC that I was asking about. I was trying to figure out how it was different than this one.
If I recall correctly (which is questionable) Comexim switched the lace used on the Honey Cookie Half Cup, and maybe that is why? We can always ask Jj to link or merge them if the lace is the same.
The plunge is a different style (obviously) amd should be separate.
Yes they did switch the lace. Maybe that’s what is different. Though it’s hard to tell with the existing pics of which lace is being used. I’m wondering if I should get a 30G or 30GG if I order from Breakout Bras since it’s on sale plus the 15% plus free shipping to US (as I’m in LA in a month). I think that it’s partly going to depend on which lace they are.
It would be nice to know if anything else changed with the lace...... It would be easier for you to decide.
I just spent time with them (BB) on lace and size and they suggested initially that I should try 30GG based off of the fit of the 30G Jade but then they changed their mind and said 30G. Both 30G and 30GG have the new lace. It’s really tempting. I’m off to try to find an extender for the Jade and test it.
[Azula voice] It's okay, you can laugh! It's funny.
I ordered this plunge bra with 1cm reduced cup height, moved in straps, an overlapped gore, and cookie pockets. I have a 60K Comexim Ingrid Plunge that fits me like a Comexim 60HH because I ordered it with 2cm reduced cup height, so I thought a lower cup height reduction might compensate for my short roots without making the cups fit significantly smaller. In retrospect, I just have to laugh. This bra has so much room at the top of the cup it's absurd. For fun, I decided to try to fit a pair of socks in the top of ...the cup on my smaller side and they fit just fine -- a pair of socks is pretty much what I would need to use to make this bra fit me. I have even vertical fullness but short roots and somewhat low-set boobs, so tall, open on top cups like these are just a nightmare.
I'm wide set but somehow have enough tissue at the inner parts of my boobs (wording??) to make Comexim gores consistently twist on me. One side, usually the left side, of the gore will sit flat, while the other side will stick out perpendicular to my chest. This isn't really a comfort issue, but it makes for a weird appearance. I get the gores of my Comexim bras overlapped to try and compensate for how high and stabby they are, which does help with comfort but not completely.
This bra is stunning and I love the "C" charm at the gore. I think they ran out of this fabric, so I can't find the bra on their website anymore, but it seems to still be available on Breakout Bras. Aside from the top of the cups and the gore, it's fairly projected and plenty narrow, and the band is TTS for a Comexim 60. I may bring this to a tailor to see if they can just nip in the top of the cup somehow, because I'm so annoyed that yet another Comexim order is a writeoff for me. I would also be happy to sell if anyone is interested. This bra would probably fit an even to full on top UK 28GG/26H or so with normal to tall roots. Read more 274 more words
This bra's measurements have been altered
Altered straps,
Cup height reduced 1cm, cookie pockets added, straps moved inward 2cm, gore overlapped
Oh my goodness! That’s a lot of space! I’m sorry it wasn’t a good fit. It’s a really pretty bra though.
Calluna I know, it honestly shocked me since my 60K with cup height reduced and my older 60J plunge both fit small in the cup. Very strange.
I love the Clara design and lace. I was waiting to see how my Black Friday order fit so I could order Clara, but it seems like that won't be an option now since it's no longer on the website. I hope you can find a good home for it or get a tailor to alter it for you! It's so beautiful but also such an odd fit.
WildWolff it is definitely available on Breakout Bras if that's an option for you!
moonshineforest I saw that, I will consider it but I would probably need it with alterations unfortunately. I need a plungier plunge!
My UK size is about 28G and my shape is projected, FOT, narrow and tall roots, super close-set, soft and self-supporting. I had requested this bra to be made in an unlined 3HC, as the 60K - Comexim » Moulin Rouge 3hc Longline fits me perfectly, but sadly this was made in a padded 3HC.
The band is nice and firm with a stretched measurement of 28", making it true to size as a 60 band. The cups are narrow, somewhat projected but a little bit tall. It fits like a UK 28G I would say. I have this weird gore twisting thing that created a small gap on one side, and there is serious gapping in the centre when I slouch a little or move my arms.
The appearance is great, so it's a shame it's not unlined like I requested and the padded version just doesn't fit me. I don't think I'll be keeping this bra.
It’s so pretty. I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you and wasn’t made as you requested, bummer
This is SO beautiful! I think it looks even prettier in your pictures compared to the website. I plan on ordering something in Jan, and this one might be it!
margesimpson Joanna told me that they’ll remake my bra! It’ll take a while but I’m still excited. I just hope that I wouldn’t have the twisty gore in the unlined version.
Wilderness1 I agree it’s soooo pretty, and I think Navy just seem to do well with my skin tone. I can’t wait to get the unlined version!
kate166 oh that’s great to hear! Do you have to send this one back?
kate166 oh that’s great to hear! Do you have to send this one back?
Clara is at the top of my Comexim list, it's so beautiful! And it looks great on you. I almost got it as a plunge during the Black Friday sale but I went with a swimsuit instead. I look forward to your review once they remake it for you, I want to get one unlined now.
I’ve had this one on my wish list since I saw it! I always loved the Victoria 3HC that was my first Comexim until I outgrew it. I just love the navy lace. I’m excited to see how it is unlined.
margesimpson I don't and I plan to list this bra and maybe give it away to someone who's legit and active here or on Reddit. :)
WildWolff Thank you! Which swim suit did you get? I've been thinking about it but I'm not sure if it would be bra-like. I will definitely write a review as soon as I get the unlined Clara!
Calluna I've never had a Victoria, but like you I'm drawn to this style of bras! Are you thinking of getting the Clara?
kate166 I got the Barbados with some alterations. I don't mind if it's kind of bra like, I need the support. Some of their black tops I wouldn't get because they look too much like a bra, but the Barbados is really colorful so I don't think it will be too bra like. I ordered at the very end of the sale so im still waiting for it to be made.
kate166 yes, maybe. But Malachit is higher on my list.
So I had a bit of extra money saved up and jumped the gun. I bought this during the flash sale that souxies kindly brought to our attention, instead of waiting till black friday. Thank you, souxies!
I ordered this bra in a 60K (I thought the mesh band would be stretchy) with the following alterations:
-Made in 3HC
-Wires from a 60J bra (13.5cm wide)
-Overlapping gore
-Straps moved in 2cm
-3x4 Clasp
-Panties made into a thong
Everything but the 3x4 clasp was done, this bra almost fits perfectly.
My shape:
FOT when supported, super close set, center full, narrow and ...projected.

-It's super snug on the last hook since its a 3x3 clasp. -There isn't enough projection at the wire for me, so it wrinkles and I quad very slightly.
I've only ever tried comexim's plunges and I fell in love with the super projected shape, this bra (or all comexim half cups) dosen't give that shape. It gives a very vertical and shallow shape, which I think looks weird under clothes. However, it does give me amazing cakes-on-a-plate. While, in my opinion, it's not the best looking under clothes, it's absolutely stunning on its own. The blue and green "mermaid scales" are so freaking pretty that I don't even have words to describe their beauty. The flat bow goes perfectly with the "mermaid scale" appliqué pattern. I would definitely call this a sexy/ boudoir bra.
According to Joanna, I can have up to 1cm of depth added to the bottom of the cups, so I'll be doing that for my next 3HC order. Read more 165 more words

Altered straps,
Straps moved in 2cm, overlapped gore, smaller wires,
Glad you found something that (mostly) works great for you. For the longest time, when this bra came out in it's prior edition, I though the blue/green pattern was actual tassels or something. It took me a while to realize that it was the pattern on the material. I orderered a couple 60 bands too, and I'm crossing my fingers they aren't super short.
Yessss - Yoko is SO gorgeous, I can't get over it as well. Love the mermaid vibes. Did you know they recently brought out the plunge version?
I'll probably order it if they do a Black friday sale (my old Yoko 3HC is almost completely worn out after 4 years).
Too bad they didn't do the 3x4 hooks! Good to see a picture of the overlapping gore though. Like souxies recently asked, I was also wondering what it actually looked like.
Wilderness1 I would rather buy a band that's too tight than too loose, you can always use an extender, but shortening the band is a pain. I wasn't aware the yoko had a prior version. What cut was it, if you know? I'm wishing you luck with your comexim order!
bubblegum I saw the plunge version, but I didn't like the way they arranged the green and blue pattern. I'm so glad the gore was actually overlapped, it feels so much better!
marilynne oh never mind, I just realized this is the "previous" version. I just noticed it on Comexim's "new" page recently, but I think the new one is the plunge. Both versions/cuts are really pretty either way. I'd rather buy a band that is slightly too tight rather than loose too, but I just hope they're not 25-26" like my yellow bird was. Anything over 27-27.5 is fine for me, but 28-28.5 is best for comfort.
My band comfort level is exactly the same, Wilderness1. It seems like the mesh bands (like the yoko) are stretchier than the fabric covered ones (like the yellow bird). So I will definitely keep that in mind the next time I order. I saw the plunge and decided I liked the pattern of the old one better, but they're both cute!
Its lovely 😊 I also thought it was tassled so have not really considered this as an option. I will add it to my basket in the hope of a black friday sale 😂 Thank you for sharing. Its very intersting to know they will add depth at the bottom of the cup. My beauty is fine but my puime notte lacks depth at the wire and creases slightly. I thought prehaps this was due to the puime being a plunge but as yours is a 3hc I will consider it an option for my next order, esp as I will be asking for everything in a 3hc.
souxies I'm glad I helped you decide to buy this beauty, it's absolutely gorgeous! I've only tried this half cup and 2 plunges in comexim, but I found that the plunges had more depth at the wire than the yoko. I'm sorry to hear that your piume notte doesn't have enough depth at the wire for you. :(
The piume is still a good comfortable fit and looks stunning, not such a huge problem with the depth. I will probably stick to 3hcs in future though. I did order a Mimi 2hc aswell but that is super shallow!
My usual UK size is 28FF or possibly G because I was getting quad boobs in the Marcie in 28FF but not a lot in the Envy. My leaning bust is 35" so I'm not sure if I would fit into a 28G. My shape is projected, full on top and centre, with tall and narrow roots, super close-set and soft tissue.
I had this exact same bra in 60J which was too small/shallow with empty space at the bottom of the cups and dramatic cleavage, so I ordered a 60K instead.
This cups are shallow, I guess that's why I needed a 60K. It fits OK on me, although there is some spillage to the centre so I wish the gore was a bit higher. It is narrow though which is great for my super close set boobs. However, if I put my arms in front (like typing on the keyboard), there is some gapping. The wires are narrow for this size.
The band runs tight, although not by a full band size in my opinion.
Welp. This was my first ever true comexim bust. This bra runs 1-2 cups small and maybe even a band, but it could just feel tight because it's sitting on tissue. I'll try the upside down and backwards test. I can't really assess the fit since it's so far off from fitting me. It seems to run slightly shallow, but the wires are still narrow, so I'd say it just runs small. It's absolutely stunning though. I had the panties made into a thong.
I am sorry it does not fit. I do not find mine small though? it fits me the same at all my other Comexims, perhaps a little lower cut on me. I am narrow, projected, close set and full on top. I had no alterations but it did come with an overlapped gore
Yeah, I have no idea what happened. No amount of adjusting would make it fit. It fits like a 28FF. Msybe mine is just an anomaly.
I received this bra from a another Bratabase user. I never thought I would fit into a 60K but the measurements looked comparable so I gave it a try. The band is to small for my 29in frame so I have to wear and extender. The cups fit good, they are deep at the bottom with immediate depth The gore is too wide so my breast tissue pushes the wires sit below my IMF so it sits less on breast tissue. This cause a wrinkle in the bottom of the cup. The gore is also to tall causing some discomfort but not too much due to Comexim soft ...wires. The seam can be see under shirt but not too noticeable. It has a simple flower details but it is more of a practical bra then sexy lingerie. This bra would work great as a nude for some one with darker skin. I would love to order an altered unlined Comexim(narrow, overlapping and shortened gore) but with their inconsistency in alterations I find myself wearing imperfect fits. I am also unsure of what size, I usually were a 65H and this is 2 cup sizes bigger but fits. Read more 90 more words
It's actually 3 cup sizes bigger which is crazy! I found a 60K that fit more like a 55L and it was perfect. I can't do comexims full gore height for the reason you stated. It's so stabby and painful. Glad it doesn't bother you
I was SO disappointed. This bra "should have" fit me well, but it arrived smaller than the 60J I had just sold. The immediate projection in Comexim unlined is blissful!!
I think next time I order I'll try Zathiya or Bra Obsessed so I can be sure to get what I want.
violetknight yeah. Jaimie at bra obsessed is amazing. Zathiya is great too. Jaimie is just willing to go above and beyond to help. I've sent her pics every step of the way until we finally nailed my comexim size and alterations that I need
Another amazing Comexim Plunge from Custom Curves in Dartmouth, NS. It magically fits both breasts without gaping or quad boob despite a full cup size difference between the 2. The padding is very light and thin and feels kind of like spacer foam. The outer fabric is soft and luxurious and so pretty- an aqua green with taupe pattern, trimmed with lovely taupe lace. The cups are a bit tall for my short breasts, but they nip in perfectly on top so there's no strap gap. The band is wonderfully snug, stretching to just over 25". Cup width is pretty good- just a smidge too wide but not uncomfortable. Same with strap placement- a bit wider than I need but not eating my armpits. The shape it gives is great- streamlined from the front for a slimmer silhouette and projected from the side with a rounded, subtly peaked profile. I can't quite get the wires into my IMF, but it's not too far off. Overall, a great fit, I think.
This bra is supremely comfortable. The band is absolute perfection - and has a smoothing effect under clothing. The straps are wider enough to provide comfort, but not so wide that I feel like a granny. I love the colour combo of this bra - it is really quite elegant.
This bra came to me from Sonya after it proved to be too small for her. This bra is just slightly too small for me - but comfortable enough to still wear it. I have some minor quadding in this bra, but the wires are a perfect fit. If I gain any weight or boob, however, this bra will be untenable.
I think the problem might be my upper fullness and tall roots, as there is quite a lot of immediate projection. I wonder if this bra might work better for someone with shorter roots.
This bra's measurements have been altered
Altered band,
Altered straps,
Custom made into a 3HC with straps moved in 2 cm, cup height reduced, and cotton cookie pockets added.
The Angelina is so beautiful! The fabric is soft and silky, and I love the muted green and beige pattern. The lace overlay looks nice, but if I were to re-order I may see if they could do it without, as I think the stylish zig-zag stitching would show through in thin shirts. The band is lined with a power mesh, resulting in a nice, firmer band than the single-layer Comexim bands.
This bra was much too small on me, resulting in major quadding. It also had a reduced gore and overlapping wires, neither of which work for my breast shape. Definitely considering re-ordering in a larger size with some alterations.
I received this in a swap from the lovely kerniss and I loooooove this bra. It has reduced cups, a lowered gore, a 3x3 band fastener, and the straps moved in - 2cm I think.
Aesthetically this is a gorgeous, classy bra. I find the choice of black lining in the cups a little odd, since the rest of the bra is chocolate brown and ivory, but oh well. Nobody sees the inside of the cups except me.
This bra very-nearly-*perfectly* fits my bigger side. Righty is my problem child and there is a bit of empty space at the top of the cup. ... The band is nice and tight, it's actually about 0.25" too tight for comfort so I added one column of hooks from an extender until it breaks in. I'd rather my bands be too tight than too loose, so that's not a problem for me.
Overall, I'm hooked on Comexim. I can't imagine trying any other padded bra anymore. And this bra has answered a few more of my size and alteration questions. I heard Irish Coffee runs a bit small and closed off on top. Considering the vast difference in fit between this and the 60K Juliette I previously tried, I'd hazard a guess that's probably accurate, and that the Juliette runs big. I am leaning towards 60J being my size in Comexims that are a little more open on top - like that too-small Poison Ivy I tried, I think it'd be okay in a 60J. I'm still on the fence about needing reduced cups as a rule going forward, but this bra would be too big without them. I definitely love the straps being moved in and the 3-hook fastener. Don't love the lowered gore, I need my "plunges" more like balconettes and a slightly higher gore would help with my inner fullness.
I do notice this bra has a very high apex and a very round shape to the cups, and I am not quite so round naturally. I lack the upper fullness that I think this bra is really asking for. But the empty space in the cups is not nearly enough to warrant sizing down in this particular style. Like I mentioned before, if Irish Coffee runs small/more closed off, then I think 60J will be my target in more open styles. Read more 299 more words
That's a huge improvement! Definitely on the right track :D
This one was mine originally, I believe. It was ordered through A Sophisticated Pair. The requested alterations are the lowered gore, reduced cups, and straps moved in. I am typically a 60L, but I have several 60K that fit. The IC seems to be closed off at the top of the cup, as does any of the newer styles with that ribbon boarder. Really I am just glad it found a home! I got lucky and found one here too. It's a gorgeous bra!
I lost track of my UK size because I almost exclusively wear Polish now, but I guess I'm a 28G. My shape is projected, full on top and centre, with tall and narrow roots, soft and self-supporting tissue, and super close-set.
I have no fit issues with this bra. The band is snug (true to size as a 28 band). The cups are narrow, projected and open on top. I think the bra compresses more than lifts so it gives a subtle silhouette. The straps are long and adjustable, and comes with a J-hook to make into a cross-back style. Overall a great bra that fits my shape very well.
It looks great on you! Do you find that the longline makes it feel more supportive than a regular bra, or is it about the same?
