Thanks to Anya99 for this bra! I like the comfort of Comexim plunges. This one in particular has a shiny/smooth viscose like fabric that doesn't have much stretch to it which I had never experienced with a bra before. The straps are moved in, cookie pockets added, and wires are overlapped. I have short, narrow roots, soft tissue, squishy skin, bottom fullness, inner fullness, congenital symmastia, and I am short. I need a very low and narrow gore, short wings, narrow wires, and immediate projection. I like the cookie pockets because I use cookies to strategically add lift so I can stand a slightly higher ...gore. Otherwise I need a gore under 2.4 inches which limits me to a couple of styles in my size. The overlapped wires along with the cookies help with comfort. This would be counted as a fit if I did not have congenital symmastia. The gore tacks at the bottom but not at the very top because I have tissue between my breasts. What matters to me is that it isn't uncomfortable at the top of the gore and in this bra it is not, so I count it as a win. I plan to order a reduced gore with Comexim in the future. The first time I wore this I did not notice the strap placement, but I had to change into a different outfit later in the day and changed into an Ewa Michalak plunge and I realized immediately how much wider the straps were. Because I have soft skin, some tissue does escape around the armpit area by the end of the day but the comfort of the strap placement is nice and I'm used to doing an extra scoop and swoop one or two times a day so it doesn't bother me. The band is wide and has three hooks which feels great for support and also reduces the bulges I get around thinner bands due to my squishy skin. I tried a variety of Comexim plunges without alterations and thought it wouldn't be a good match but I am glad I gave this one a try because it fits well and has inspired me to get more. yea! those colours look great on you! I'm also surprised (I mean, pleasantly so) with how different the material are with each comexim. always quality. I've never tried cookie pads, but maybe I should get some. the plunge I got from anya99 is such a nice fabric, too.
Thank you! I was more focused on alterations and measurements than colors and I didn't realize how colorful it was until I got it. I like the colors and the shine on the fabric. I'm so used to lace and embellishments and this has its own personality without either of those. The cookie pads help me get some lift so I don't have pain with my symmastia. They do add to the shape a bit but I avoid in the summer when possible because they get really sweaty. Although sweat absorbing/cooling pads may be a great idea for the summer, I wonder if those exist. Your reviews and Reddit comments actually helped me in my decision to try Comexim again, so thank you!
Lol. you're welcome. I think comexim is underrated for smaller sizes. Esp. the smaller band/smaller cup or smaller band/medium cup. But I think it's because those people have so many other options (like Aerie, or whatever...fast fashion) like bras that are readily available but not as good quality. which I can see the temptation of convenience, but I'd rather wait a month to get what I want from Poland, lol.
BraOdyssey I think it could be an underrated brand, and/or people are intimidated to shop since it's far away and seems foreign. Similar to how we may view cultural foods or practices. When I was a smaller size I would have loved Comexim for it's smaller bands and comfortable materials. At least I found them now. I'm glad you share your knowledge with others about the brand!
Wow the fit looks fabulous, and love the color/pattern on you. Bra-win high-five! Comexim is definitely one of my favorites for comfort. I also appreciate their wide size range, not just for myself. I got my very petite tiny teenager a bra from them in size 28DDD and it’s her first real fitting bra! I’m sure if more people in my daughter’s size range gave Comexim a shot, they’d fall in love with their bras also.
Happy2BraShop thanks! I agree with the size range. I got one for my mom who is barely in matrix sizing but needs narrow wires and she's under 5 feet tall and it fits her so well and it's comfortable. She was amazed!
Another thing I think is great, is the price! Especially since the sizes I’m ordering are outside the matrix, it’s nice that they are still affordable vs costing more due to odd size. If only all my daughter’s clothes could cost the same as a typical person’s, that’d be great lol.
Thank you for this review, WildWolff ! I, too, need very low center gores because of close-set breasts. I never thought of using cookies for lift to avoid discomfort from a slightly too high gore. I wonder if that would work for me. Despite not having symmastia, I find gores less than an inch high to be ideal. The only solution I thought of for higher gored bras is to remove the wire, cut it down, reinsert, and sew the channel back up. Bra wires are tough, though!
learningaboutbras I found some cookies that are long and short and pretty thick on Etsy and I use them at the bottom of a cookie pocket to support my short roots. It's not ideal and I don't do it every day. But I want to wear a larger selection of bras so it's a compromise I'm willing to work with. I have symmastia and soft tissue so I need a low gore, but the soft tissue spills out of the cups so it's an unfortunate combination! And super plungey bras have such tall cups which don't work with how short I am. Have you tried overlapped wires? They help a lot if you're close set and provide more support. For altering wires, if you're aware of the size and length of a wire you need I recommend purchasing them from a bra supply store and just replacing them. Then you don't have to cut a wire.
I love it! *squeeel* I picked this bikini up on sale for a steal! $18 for the top and $8 for the bottoms. This color royal blue is vivid and bright. The inside of the cup is a black three piece cup with a solid layer of bathing suit fabric over top. There is some ruching along the inner cup near the center gore. The gore slightly floats away from my body, but this doesn’t bother me. The backband runs big on this one and rises up. I also don’t consider this an issue since this is swim wear. If it ends up being a problem I can ...easily take this in for a tighter fit. The straps are stretchy but provide comfortable support. The hardware is black, with the back clasp being silver.
I purchased both pairs or bottoms in a size Large. Both pairs fit great.
Bikini: There is a cute color block effect with ruching at the hips with the teal colored fabric. The inside is lined with a white lining. The elastic has even tension and doesn’t dig in or cause double-butt buns.
High waisted briefs: This pair also has the color block effect, with the center panel having the rushing on the fabric. The inside is also lined with white fabric as well as having evenly tensioned elastic providing a smooth fit along my hiney. Read more 121 more words
This is a cute set and I'm so glad you've reviewed it because I've been eyeing it!
Could I ask, what is your measurement across the widest part of your hips? I only ask because BoB's size chart says I should be ordering a small based on being a curvy 0-2, but I also know there is no chance of me wearing a small from Comexim.
what a steal!
jlcl119 I have this too, and I'm a curvy 4-6. I got both bottoms in size M and they fit well, I do have some quad-bum when not in water though. . The widest part of my hips is 40".
marilynne, thank you! That's helpful since I believe we're in the same Ewa bottoms size.
I am worried about the quad bum. My hip measure is all ass, I'm pretty straight on the front view.
jlcl119 Right now I’m about 29-30” waist, about 36” mid point between natural waist and fullest part of hips, and 39-40” hips at fullest part. I’m between a US size 6-8 pants. I can wear a size Medium in Comexim undies, but the elastic sort of digs in right now. So I’m opting for size large in Comexim bottoms. I have a long torso, the high waisted bottoms actually come up to my bellybutton.
Happy2BraShop Thanks so much! Comexim bottoms and I tend to not get on very well.
Anyway, you did indeed make out like a bandit on these swim sets and the tops look to fit pretty well! Nice snags.
jlcl119 I sure did, and I’m very grateful. I must have purchased about 5 different swim sets recently trying to find something I didn’t mind being seen in public in, that I can bend over to deal with my toddler, without flashing everyone lol. I’m currently trying to lose a few pounds and didn’t want to invest a ton of money into something that may not fit next year.
For reference I also wear a size 38 in Ewa Michalak undies.
Happy2BraShop swim seems to be a bigger battle even though I actually expect less from it. I hope you find success in road testing the Comexim sets! They seem flattering, so that's a good start!
I'm a 38 too, so this is helpful! Seems like I could probably make either a M or a L work if I want.
jlcl119 same! I have straight hips from the front and my low and mid hip measurements are all ass, if I measure directly above it I lose 9", lol. I wear a 38 in ewa bottoms and a M in normal comexim bottoms, a small in aerie/VS thongs and a medium in anything full coverage. I have a short torso and my waist is usually about 25", the high waisted bottoms hit right at my waist. I hope this helps you! It's such an adorable bikini and it's $18!
jlcl119 I added a few more pics wearing the bottoms to get a better view on how they fit me. I probably could have done a Medium, but I’m on the soft squishy side right now so I appreciate the Large lol.
After having great luck with Comexim bikini tops last year, I purchased this top because the polka dot pattern is just too cute. The pattern is a true white background with a dark navy blue dot. The inside of the cup is a thee part construction made with a soft white flexible cotton covered foam. The outer cup consists of bathing suit fabric in a two part cup. The lower cup has a larger dot print that is gathered and ruched near the center gore. The upper part is the cup is a smaller coordinating dot print, giving it some visual interest. The center gore, rocker and back ...band are made using the smaller dot print fabric. Now I will mention, in this top the lower rocker seems to be cut rather narrow. So the side seam, where the back band attaches to the rocker, sits at a wry strange angle causing the fabric to ripple due to uneven tension. The straps are elastic stretch with the small dot pattern with white hardware. The back clasp is one silver interlocking clip.
** Important notes: This band runs very very stretchy! I recommend sizing down in the band and up in the cup to get your typical Comexim fit. Since it’s a bathing suit and I’m not too worked up about trying to return it, it’s ok to me since I can just take the band in at the clip anyway.
Bottoms in size Large: These bottoms are a side tie style. The front and back have the smaller dot fabric while the side ties have a bigger dot print. The inside is lined with white bathing suit lining, including the gusset in the crotch. The elastic is evenly tensioned and doesn’t dig in or pinch my butt fat. I personally prefer the sides to be sewn together, as I have a little one and wouldn’t want my sides getting untied. I may stitch them together to prevent any wardrobe malfunctions. I feel these run a little big on me, but I think sizing down they would be too small. I may purchase a size medium to keep on hand if I lose any more weight. Read more 256 more words
I currently own this bra in a 65J and a 70J. What I needed was the band of the 65J and the cup of the 70J, and here it is! This is exactly what I wanted. I feel contained and comfortable. I’d been favoring the 70J due to the cup, but if worn all day the backband just didn’t feel secure, despite fitting on the tightest hooks. With this 65K the backband is TTS with a 3x4 closure. The straps are well spaced and I don’t feel any armpit digging in. The wires are a smidge too wide, but not enough to declare it a fit issue. I love the fit and will be purchasing in black as soon as possible. Definitely a staple in my bra wardrobe.
I received this bra from Anya99. 10/10 seller, highly recommend.
Pictures don’t do the vivid colors justice! When I look at the pattern it vaguely reminds me of modern artwork you’d see in your 1980’s dentist’s office lol. First off, I forgot to adjust the straps when I tried it on, I was that excited. Plus I have about ten different tan/burn lines going on. So it slightly looks like I have some quadding, but in reality after adjustments I don’t.
The cups are a three-past construction, with smooth soft silk touch fabric over a white cotton padded like material. This particular one has cookie pockets on the ...inside. The back-band has the same colorful fabric around the entire band, with a white power mesh lining inside. There are hot pink straps with mint colored hardware. I believe the straps were moved in a few centimeters. The back clasp consists of a mint 3x3 closure. There is a cute aqua and hot pink bow on the center of the gore. There are no other bows or adornments on this bra. This bra is definitely comfortable. Read more 77 more words
this looks soooo comfy. The fit looks excellent from the side!
BraOdyssey It’s super comfy. I once saw a review for a Comexim bra, where the person said “The C must stand for comfort” and boy were they speaking some truth lol. I definitely appreciate a good rounded uplift.
I’ve never seen this one, very nice pattern! Looks great on you. I love comexims! Once size is figured out they are so comfortable:)
Haha I totally see what you mean by 80's artwork @ the dentist's vibes!!
Along with the solid royal blue top, I picked this color block bikini up, also on sale for a steal! $18 for the top and $8 for the bottoms. This color block is vivid and bright. The inside of the cup is a white three piece cup with a split layer of bathing suit fabric over top. The top portion is teal/aqua and the lower part is royal blue. There is some ruching along the inner cup near the center gore on the royal blue fabric. The gore slightly floats away from my body, but this doesn’t bother me. The back band fits much better on this one ...compared to the royal blue color top of the same size. The straps are stretchy but provide comfortable support. The straps on this color way are ever so slightly wider than the royal blue color way. The hardware is black, with the back clasp being silver. Overall I’m very please with this purchase and can’t wait to wear my new bikinis for summer.
I purchased both pairs or bottoms in a size Large. Both pairs fit great.

Oh man I’m bummed this wasn’t a win. While it looks cool and would be a great “bedroom bra”, I can’t justify keeping it for the price with the fit issues.
First off, it’s cool looking. The black lace detail is fantastic. But it is a stiffer lace that I’m sure some would find itchy. Of course it hasn’t been washed so who’s to say it wouldn’t soften up with wash and wear. The cups are a three part vertical seemed cup. They feel wide and shallow at the wire, as well as giving me slight quad-boob along the top of the cup. There is one small black ...bow on the center gore. The center band consists of the same single layer of lace used in the cup construction. The backband is pretty true for a 65 band and leaning more on the stretchy side. The straps are your basic black straps with black hardware. The back clasps are a 5x4, but here’s the worst part. The edge where the corner has been sealed is sharp. I can feel it like a mild sharp fingernail digging in. Super annoying. For me personally the band buckles when my body fat squished it up causing lumps and bumps. As I mentioned, this would be a cool “bedroom bra” for me, but I wouldn’t find this comfortable or practical for every day wear.
I purchased the matching panties in size Medium: They are a cheeky thong style and fit very well. The front portion is the same single layer of lace with a matching layer of lace in a triangle pattern in the back. I kind of wish there was some fine mesh lining the front panel. The sides are a folded over, doubled up black fine mesh. There is a black cotton gusset on the inside crotch. Read more 197 more words
Oh bummer Happy2BraShop ! I was eyeing this one in BB and it's too bad that it's not a good fit. Discomfort is definitely a big no-no and I've learned that even while I like the look of a bra, I will subconsciously avoid it because it's uncomfy in some way and will lead to years sitting unused.
Thanks for sharing this review!
I have a 65HH - Comexim » Coco (381) that I bought a few years ago, and I find the lace on that one pretty stiff too. It may have softened a teensy bit, but it's still fairly stiff feeling compared to my other Comexim unlined bras and EM BMs.
That's too bad it's scratching too. I wonder if a nail clipper could resolve that..clipping at the edges above the stitching?
It's definitely a nice looking bra though! But such a bummer it didn't fit. Was this one a stock size? Can you at least send it back?
aogg I do as well. It would just sit there and shuffled to the “I wish this fit and felt the way I want it to” pile. So it’s gotta go back.
Wilderness1 Yes, it’s a stock size I got from BoB. I already sent in my return request. I though about if clipping it would help, but with all the other fit issues it wouldn’t have made a big enough difference to keep it. Even my husband loved it, but darned if the cups just didn’t work for me. Lol it’s a good thing their return policy doesn’t say anything about the bra being soaked with tears of sadness lol.
I'm so sorry this didn't fit! It's stunning on you, but the fit issues are pretty prominent. You kind of look like a VS model in it, lol. Uncomfortable but gorgeous.
This bra is gorgeous! I was lucky enough to snatch this beauty up from Anya99. The color is amazing in person and the pics don't do it justice. I'm currently trying to lock down my Comexim sizing, but I'm starting to think it's a crap-shoot as to what you're gonna get. This band is stretchy and I have to wear it on the tightest set of hooks, but it's very comfy none the less. This bra has a 3x3 closure. The underwires and cups are a smidge too wide but might serve me well during that time of the month when my breast are fuller. The straps are fully adjustable. The quality is fantastic and from the moment I put it on it felt good. Despite the small fit issues I'll be holding onto this baby and wearing it when I can. *This bra has reduced cups and straps moved in 2cm.
This is part of my Comexim Black Friday order and I'm so happy with how well it fits! This is my first try with a Comexim unlined bra. My all time favorite unlined bra was Ewa Michalak Czarna Mgielka when I was a 65FF. Now that I need a larger cup size, I can only comfortably wear the Ewa PL and PLM due to my symmastia. So I turned to Comexim! I ordered this bra with the gore reduced by 2cm and added depth at the wire. I have padded plunges from Comexim in 65J, 65K, and 60L that all fit differently, so I tried to go by ...that and measurements while keeping my alterations in mind. I know from making and altering bras that lowering the gore can reduce cup volume and depth/projection, and I need a lot of immediate projection so I asked for the reduced gore and the added depth. I thought they would equally cancel each other out so I went with 65K for sizing. I think with these alterations it would have been perfect in 65J because this one is a tiny bit too big in the cup. It's not uncomfortably big or very noticeable, I will still wear it. I may reorder this one in 65J with the same alterations, but I also have my eye on the Comexim Angel. The mesh is good quality, I don't have any itchiness or rashes like I have experienced with Cleo and Freya mesh bras in the past. It's not quite the Czarna Mgielka, but it's pretty close. The wires are softer, straps are much firmer, band has a lot more stretch, and the top of the cup/lace is looser. If the gore was higher, there would be a lot more support, but I'm used to sacrificing center support for comfort. Overall it's a bra win, and I will definitely be ordering more Comexim unlined bras before summer. Read more 213 more words
Excellent, glad it worked out for you! And thanks for the detailed review. I’ve been curious to try the comexim unlined bras in the plunge cut. I’ve also wanted to try the extra depth alteration on some Comexims but wasn’t sure if they actually do that alteration, or how to word it to Joanna
margesimpson I really like the unlined in the plunge, it's very comfortable! For the wording I wrote in the comments on the order "size 65K, reduced gore 2cm, added depth at the wire." Then when she emailed me to let me know that alterations were non returnable, I agreed and asked to confirm the alterations and she said yes. Two of the three items I ordered had the alterations done correctly.
Congrats on the fit! Comexim unlined bras are underrated and it's nice to see more reviews on here.
Damn, now I want one of these lol. I may get one!!!
Damn, now I want one of these lol. I may get one!!!
This is my second venture into Comexim's unpadded 3HC bras, my first try was with the hard-to-find-your-size (though lovely) Onyks through Breakout Bras. I actually feel bad that I told someone (a newbie) on r/ABTF forum *not* to order this bra; I thought the sizing was difficult like the Onyks. It turns out this one is much more true to size, imo, even though I didn't quite guess correctly. If you notice from the pictures, I think that this bra is 1.5 cups too small for my larger side, and 1 cup too small for my smaller size.
Since this is a clearance item, I ordered +2 cups ...larger - they didn't have just one cup larger left - so we'll see. I could be in a Goldilocks and the 3 bears situation, but I should be getting the 2nd clearance bra any day now, whoo!
About the bra: when I first tried it on, despite the quad-boobing/overflowing, would you believe it's still comfortable and wearable (somewhat?); I only say that because the quad-boobing in a little noticeable with a thin shirt. Still, I find this bra quite comfortable (like a boob hug!). I did size down in the band compared to what I usually wear in Comexim padded plunges, fyi: I only did that because I remember the Onyks being soooo stretchy, I thought all of their bands for their unlined styles were equally as stretchy - but I'm not really an expert in this style obviously. If one was in between band sizes, I would say "size down in the band for the unlined style," but it's really up to the person's discretion. and if they like their band firm, loose etc.
ALSO, another pleasant attribute of the unpadded 3HC: I actually find this style kind of minimizing.
That's all for my review, I am anxiously awaiting my 2nd Sirene now so I can compare the fits on each of them: even though this one is too small in the cups, I'm still holding on to it a.t.m. because *I'm hoping to loose weight and boobage* soooo...here's some wishful thinking that I can fit into this bra properly someday (plus, it was on clearance for $21, so I don't really want rid of it yet).
Of note: I realized that if you write a review for a bra online (that you've purchased, they won't give you credit if it's something you bought & returned), Breakout Bras will give you Loyalty points that will help you to earn discounts - it's doesn't need to be a long review even, just a few sentences : ) Read more 328 more words
Muuuch better! After squeezing into this bra in a 65J, I exchanged for this 65K and I’m so happy I did! It fits exactly how I need it to fit. I feel uplifted, but not shoved up into my neck like the smaller size. I get a great round shape that I love. The three part cup is well made with very basic, subtle adornment. The straps are very well spaced and the wires nice and narrow. I don’t get any digging in my armpits! That’s a win in my book. Backband is TTS with a 3x4 closure. Fits with the wonderful Comexim comfort right out of the box.
Wow. This is an incredibly beautiful bra. Comexim makes my favorite black bras: Hibiscus, Noir, and Belle de Nuit.
This prototype bra may be available in the future. The basic cup construction is like a 3HC. And, a stretchy, supportive panel across the top of the cup will enable taller roots to sucessfully wear the 3HC.
This cup is covered with velvet-flocked, black clematis blossoms and vines on a fine black mesh over ivory, cotton-covered foam. The seams of the 3HC are strikingly accented with black fabric tape. The fine velvet-flocked, black mesh floats over these black seams. Sincerely, this creates a stunning effect. Velevet bows accent the ...straps and wings. The entire band is covered with the velvet-flocked clematis flowers and lined with a stronger mesh. This is a less-stretchy Comexim band. Its dimensional stability is better than that of the more stretchy Comexim bands.
If Comexim's 3HC didn't allow enough space for your upper tissue, this style may change everything. The apex in this prototype has been shifted up approximately 1.5" from the 3HC's apex position. In fact, the apex is located in the unpadded part of the bra. The cup is 1.3" taller than the 3HC. The wire is approximately 1" longer. The gore .7" taller, and the wing .3" shorter. This is an improvement for those with taller roots. Shorties, we need to cling to the original design. Here is a link comparing a 65K 3HC to this design: http://www.bratabase.com/bra/di7kp/vs/bra/dijlp/
This cut appears very similar to the Ewa Michalak SF style. If the SF works for you, this half-padded Comexim may, too.
From a volume perspective, this cup is perfect for me. My breast fills the entire cup when I position each cup individually. Because my breasts are center-full and my breast apex is located closer to the gore than the bra's apex (like 175+ other bras), this rapidly pushes out of my IMF. So, this cut is not ideal for me. No surprise.
Aesthetically, this bra is stunning. And, if you have more upper tissue than the 3HC can hold, this may be your unicorn bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> Read more 250 more words
I love how Comexim is trying to meet the needs of people with all different sizes and shapes of breasts.
How did you get your hands on a prototype?! So cool.
Very lovely any interesting as I found the half cup to be so shallow and way short though I got a reduced cup i keep thinking if only it had some stretch lace on the upper cup I wouldn't fall out . confusing how they call this a 3piece half cup when it looks like a 4 piece half padded balcony bra ..
I agree that it appears at first glance similar to the sf but the sf Isn't padded. I know her description says semi padded but nope just fabric of steel in that lower cup and stretch on the upper .
This is interesting. I wonder what made them make a taller bra, when it seems like most people (at least here and abtf) want shorter cups.
I have tall roots, and while I no longer ask for the cup reduction, I'd prefer shorter cups, not taller ones. I'd be so happy if Comexim made a cup that was as low as the Ewa M style.
The 3HC has cups too tall for me to begin with, but I'd welcome more apex depth and narrower wires.
Very cool that you got a prototype!
Wow! Beautiful! I would definitely give this style a try!
ennakym The amazing Jaimie at Bra Obsessed sourced this prototype.
@Prettyncharmeuse Like you, I'd thoroughly appreciate shorter cups.
@Ivp The bra cut title is unknown to me. Jaimie has referred to it as "hard-earned." It may well be a balcony as you suggest.
Ivp "half-padded" rather than autocorrect's suggestion. ;-)
It may well be hard earned surly such a lovely design was
This patter is super cute! I expected it to be a little more lavender, but to me leans a little more pink in color. Of course I’m a sucker for gray, so I love the strap color.
The cup is a three part construction. The inside of the cup is a beige cotton foam lining material. The outer cup is a charcoal gray dot printed fabric on a pinkish/lavenderish background. The fabric has a silky feel to it. There is a light gray trim along the top of the cup that is also found on the side wings. There is a tiny gray bow on the center gore. ...The elastic straps are charcoal gray with pink hardware. The back clasp is a 3x4 closure with gray hooks. The back band is made of a beige stretch fabric with the printed fabric on the outer layer.
Briefs size Large: The panties are a matching dot fabric. The front panel has two vertical trim pieces that matches the trim along the bra cup. The back panel is one piece, joining the front panel at the hip. There is a beige cotton gusset in the crotch. All elastic is charcoal gray in color. Read more 92 more words
This bra is quite wearable with an extender, but I find it to be a little tight in the band for me right now without an extender.
My stats: FOB, close-set breasts with narrow roots, projected, center-full, average root height. I find that Comexim padded plunges and unpadded 3HCs work well for me, and also Ewa Michalak BM.
This is vintage Comexim, lol (like from 5 years ago); the cups are super comfy, they make my boobs look amazing [imho, lol] and fabric is super soft and luxurious!! : ) I love it! thank u Anya99 for your fabulous collection that you are selling. ...10/10 seller!
Anyway, what to say about this bra that I haven't said before about Comexim (one of my favs...): it is typical Comexim, high quality construction, lovely design, soft and comfy materials. I don't feel that anything is scratchy or irritating my skin in this bra. The cups seem super deep - I mean, this is a sister-size down + 1 cup than what I normally wear, I'm not sure if the construction is different from years ago- I honestly haven't tried enough comexim bras from years ago - but the band does seem tighter than when I tried a newer 65K plunge bra last spring (from Breakout Bras), FWIW.
Anyway, I do enjoy this bra and it's pleasant design: when I wear it with an extender, it does give me strap gap - and I've noticed this with both of the bras that I wear with an extender - the extender makes the straps in the back a little bit wider, giving me some strap gap in the front. Ideally, I wouldn't have to use an extender for these bras, so that's why I usually get a 70 band : ) but I saw this bra on the listings in size 65K, so I just had to buy it. After all, it was on my "wish list"!
I noticed (I don't believe this bra has alteration at all) how petite-friendly these bras are: if you notice in the pic from the side, I have a lot of space between *where the cup ends* and my underarm. The cup height is fine for me on the side(for reference, I'm 5'7), but this makes these bras particularly good for petite people/people with short roots and/or high-set breasts, imo. I bought this secondhand to sate me until my ewa michalak order comes in since I have no properly fitting bras. My only other comexim bra is the basic in a 70HH that I bought secondhand that was too small in the cups and felt loose in the band, so I decided to go down a band size and up a cup size landing me in the 65k area. Unfortunately for me, this one is too small as well. It did have reduced cups, which I've read you should size up when getting reduced cups so that may have affected the fit.
The pattern is super cute though, ...I love the mint green with the floral design. It's also a very comfortable bra even though I'm quadding in it. This just leaves too many questions of what my comexim size actually is. Next I might try a 65L (no reduced cups) and hope that I fit into that but I'm not sure if that will work or not.
Regardless I'm keeping the bra until my EM order shows up and I hope they all fit. It's comfy and if you know your comexim size Id highly recommend it. Read more 91 more words
Your profile says that your best fitting bra is a 32GG. Just converting that size over would put you at a 70J. Then sister sizing down if you wanted (and it seems like you do) would bring you to a 65K. Then when you go up one size to account for the reduced cup, that would bring you to a 65L. The reduced cup 65K works out to be about the same cup volume as the 70HH on paper, so then a 65L with reduced cups would be a cup size bigger than the two you've tried and the 65L with no reduced cups would be about two cup sizes larger.
Love love this bikini. The fabric is eye catching. The print has the colors of aqua, navy, purple, lavender, white, with a silver metallic dot print mixed in.
The cup is a three part cup with the patterned fabric over a white cotton foam lined cup. The back band runs on the loose side like most of the other Comexim bikini tops I’ve tried. There is a single silver clasp at the back. The straps are a covered elastic using the same fabric with the hardware being white.
Bottoms in size Large: The bottoms are a hipster style with fuller back coverage. The inside is lined with a white ...bathing suit lining including the gusset. The elastic has even tension, so it doesn’t pinch my butt fat. Something I very much appreciate. These bottoms fit me great in the leg hole but feel just a tad lose at the top. I may be in between sizes, but if I size down I feel they may be too small in the leg hole. Over all I love the suit and can’t wait to hit the pool in it. Out of all the Comexim bikini’s I own this is my favorite. Read more 90 more words
6/26/2021 *Update: So I love this pattern so much I just repurchased this 65K since my 65J is too small in the cup. The cup at the straps are still a little wide for my liking, but since I sew, I’ll be moving the straps over for a better fit. I’ve also repurchased the panties in a size Large for a better fit. I personally don’t like panties that pinch my butt fat. Quad boob is bad, but quad booty is even worse lol.
8/25/2020 *Original review: Ugh. Unfortunately this bra is constructed just a little differently than the Basic Plunge. This bra has the straps spaced further apart, by almost a whole strap width, compared to the basic plunge. So, I get some unwanted gapping and armpit discomfort. I’ll be returning this. Highly debating ordering from Comexim direct and requesting straps moved in a few centimeters because I love this print. I’ve reviews this bra in a 65J and a 70J as well. The band on this bra fits TTS with a 3x4 closure.
The print is so nice. Too bad about the bra construction with straps too far apart. I hope you can reorder one with custom strap placement as it looks really great on you.
This is an adorable fabric!! I so hope the photos capture the shimmering apples. Although the gore is wider than I thought I could tolerate, the wires do not press into my tissue. The straps delightfully help support the weight of my breasts because of their .75" width. The band stretches more than my other 65cm Comexim, and I wear it on the tightest set of fasteners. Although this bra has reduced cups, they remain too tall for my super short roots. However, this bra is exceptionally comfortable. It may fit better with asymmetry pads. I'll update when I have asymmetry pads in my possession. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
Edit: I altered the cup height to resemble a 3HC. Because Comexim plunges are designed for maximum projection at the apex, removing most of the top section reduced the projection to 10". This is the first padded bra that does not pinch or compress my very short roots. I thoroughly appreciate the immediate projection!
This bra is so cute! I didn't realize that it was covered in little apples. I assumed it was some abstract pattern whenever I saw it.
Seriously, I just kept smiling at these delightful apples. I don't usually like "cute," but these sparkling apples on this red are beguiling!! :-) :-)
Thanks for the pictures, Eris is the next one on my whishlist. How would you describe the red? Real red or a little darker as Comexim says with burgundy?
This red has blue undertones, but it does not look burgundy to me. Just a deep, vibrant "real red," as you say. I hope you love it, too :-)
I got the sizing wrong, having only ever tried the comexim basic before, but I'm happy with it all the same.
On my 29 inch underbust, the 65 band fastens, but I find it more comfortable with an extender, so will buy a 70 next time. Much more open up top than the basic, so in spite of the low gore, I don't seem to be spilling out of it, even though I'm center heavy.
I would prefer the gore were a little more narrow at the base, but that's a very common complaint for me and I think I technically can wear this bra ...without altering the gore.
I get a little gaping up top, which makes me think I might do better in 70HH than 70J the next time I order, but I'm not completely positive yet.
The wires are perfect, the depth at the bottom of the cup is very comfortable. The whole structure feels very stable and I think will be a really good bra for me in the right size. 65K is not that size, even though that's the size I would have needed in the Comexim Basic if my breasts weren't too tall for it (the top of the bra curved in a way that cut into tissue even in the proper size on the basic).
Will definitely keep the comexim full cups on my list. Read more 127 more words
I purchased this black version of the Basic since the beige version is one I reach for often. The cup is a three part cup with a black fabric over a black cotton foam like material. There is a black bow on the center gore. There is a basic lace trim along the upper cup. The back band is a black power mesh that has a very flexible fit. I found this extremely comfortable and I’m n the stretchier side. The elastic straps have a subtle woven in detail and have more of a firm stretch. There are tiny black bows in here the straps meet the cup. All hardware is black and the back band has a 3x3 closure. * I’ll note that this bra doesn’t seem to be cut as wide where the cup meets the strap compared to my beige basic. I’ll definitely be reaching for this over the beige one due to the better fit.
yea! those colours look great on you!
I'm also surprised (I mean, pleasantly so) with how different the material are with each comexim. always quality. I've never tried cookie pads, but maybe I should get some. the plunge I got from anya99 is such a nice fabric, too.
