I ordered the Tara at the same time as my 32K - Comexim » Sofia Half Cup 3hc Padded Underwire Longline Br, and found the fit of these two bras to be quite different. The Tara is not just unpadded, but unlined, and the cups are very open on top. The cups are made of a stiff lace with a very open framework, giving an overall sheer effect. It was fine under a medium weight knit dress, but a bit nipple-y under a T-shirt. The cups fit with no gaps or wrinkles, and when I first bought it, the gore tacked perfectly. ... The longline tends to flip up in the front over time, but stays put in the back, and has helped a lot with my back. Right now, the gore is tacking on only the left side (my smaller breast), but I think that is do to PMS-related swelling. Maybe unpadded longline Comexims are the way to go for me. I'm eyeing that new one that just showed up on Breakout Bras... Since I think the "bras that fit her" might still be a bit wonky: other bras that currently fit me are 32JJ - Elomi » Mariella Banded Bra (EL4420) , 32JJ - Elomi » Sachi Plunge Bra (4350) , 32K - Flirtelle » Alice Balconette Bra (FL7801) , and 32JJ - Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285). Also, M - Cosabella » Never Say Never Ultra Curvy Sweetie Bralette (N and other bralettes in the Cosabella Ultra Curvy line are working pretty well for me at the moment. Read more 174 more words
I told myself I wasn't going to try any more Comexim bras, but I thought having a bra print bra was too hilarious to pass up. I ordered the Adele from Breakout Bras in a 32K (Bratabase auto-converted to 70O). This bra seems to run larger in the cup than my 70O - Comexim » Piume Blu (CMPIUMEB) and 70O - Comexim » Miss Bee-have Half Cup 3hc bras. There is massive gapping in the cups at the center and some near the strap, and the gore doesn't come anywhere close to tacking no matter how much I swoop and scoop. I tried on my Piume Blu to see if maybe I had just gotten smaller recently, but it still fits me about the same as before. I'm not sure why there is such a difference between the Adele and the Piume Blu in the exact same size and cut.
This is 4th Adele review of the week, fascinating 😂
awww, too bad it didn't work out lcglcg!
It looks cute on you, sorry it didn’t work out. I guess because they’re handmade there’s always a chance that the same size and cut will fit differently. Although this seems majorly different from your other comexims. Maybe you could let them know and get an exchange?
MeeM_13 , all of these Adele reviews make me feel like I should get one, too! Is this subliminal?
BraOdyssey I think so 👀👀👀 it's just such a cute print!
I ordered this bra from Breakout Bras shortly after receiving the 32K - Full Embrace » The Essential Balconette Bra and finding that it didn't fit me at all. I had also previously tried the 70N - Comexim » Magic Plunge Bra (455) , which was way too small, and the 70O - Comexim » Miss Bee-have Half Cup 3hc , which was wearable, but not a perfect fit. I literally took the tags off of the Full Embrace balconette, since I thought it would take a week or so to get to me and I needed something to wear ...ASAP, then got an email indicating that my Breakout Bras order had shipped and would arrive by Saturday. It actually arrived today (Thursday). Whoops. Anyway, the Piume Blu isn't a perfect fit on me after all. The cups gape a bit, especially on my smaller side, and the gore doesn't quite tack. I'm going to hang onto it since it's wearable, the colorway is very pretty, and I'm pretty desperate for a padded bra as this cold snap is showing no signs of abating. I suspect finding a padded bra that fits me perfectly without alterations just isn't going to happen. Le sigh. Edit: remeasured bra 02/12/21 using my knee to hold the bra in place. I’m no expert, but It looks like a pretty good fit to me, If it’s comfortable enough for you?
Thanks a lot for reviewing this, I've been curious to see Piume Blu irl - and it is a lovely designed bra indeed!
I'm surprised though that the cup depth on yours is 30.5cm./~12 inch? Seems less than I would expect for a 70O (that's BreakOutBras' 32K/US32O, right?)
'Cause I was low-key considering the 32HH/32L/70L (they don't have a 70K in stock and my current Comexim 70K's seem small-ish anyway) but I would need 29-ish cm cup depth - as that is 3 sizes smaller, I wonder how their scaling goes..?
bubblegum: It is a Breakout Bra 32K--bratabase auto-converted 32K to 70O. I remeasured the bra this afternoon using my knee, and I was off by an inch on the width and the depth. I used my knee this time around instead of holding the bra by hand, but it was still tricky to measure. I guess I need a bigger knee, LOL. @margesimpson: It looks alright in the photos, but there's gapping at the strap, and the gore isn't tacking. The bra is reasonably comfortable, so I'm keeping it, but I'm not likely to buy more Comexims.
I read reviews stating that going up two sizes is not as consistent in the larger cup sizes, unfortunately 30JJ sized up would be 30L, which was not in stock. I ended up sister sizing to 32K which proved to be an excellent choice because the band does run a size small. Going up two sizes was actually a pretty accurate fit and I have FOB breasts with close to no functional upper fullness, and short roots. I did find that the gore did not tack at all, I am pretty sure I probably have a pretty good amount of center fullness so Im probably never going to ...get a tacking gore. It wasnt uncomfortable either so I hesitate to call it an improper fit. Support wise the bra holds me up and in, not smushed to the sides and down. I didnt realize how wide the other bras actually made me look until I tried this on. It doesnt cause me pain and makes me slightly unaware to the fact that Im carrying 15lbs+ of fat, lymph nodes, cysts, and mammary glands on my chest, each. The cups themselves were not unbearably high and trying to gouge their way into my armpits, the straps were actually pretty comfy too, I ended up only having to move one in, I will probably move the other because there's extra fabric that I don't need hanging by the straps, that would be an alteration purely for cosmetics though. This bra also gives me the cleavage that I had otherwise dreamed about, and I didnt even need to do anything fancy to it which is crazy.
In the meantime though if anyone has any suggestions of similar bra styles that would probably work for me, please let me know because I broke my recommendations! Read more 192 more words
To empathize with you, I am very close set and centre full and I never ever get a proper tack on Comexims. But I think as long as it’s not totally floating then it’s fine :)
I had told myself I was going to stop ordering Comexim bras, since I never seem to be able to find a perfect fit, but I caved in yet again. This time, I really wanted a long line bra, and Comexim was the only option that had my size that I could get in a couple of days. The cups gape on me much like my 70O - Comexim » Adele. I'm wondering if Comexim regraded their cup sizes at some point, since the 70O - Comexim » Piume Blu (CMPIUMEB) and 32K - Comexim » Tara Non Padded ...Half Cup 3hc Underwire Longline cups (both older styles) seem smaller than the cups on my more recent purchases. While the cups aren't quite right on me, the long line does help my back a lot. This doesn't work so well for me under a thin T-shirt, but under dresses and dress shirts, it's great. On another note, is there a "Putting on Longline Bras for Dummies" out there? The second time I wore this bra, it took me 5 attempts to fasten and spin it. It was almost as nerve-wracking as my experience putting on my 32J - Curvy Kate » Luxe Strapless Basque (CK017707) ... Read more 112 more words
Love the color on you, and being back pain free is a win in my book. Wish there was some trick to getting it on, I do the same thing you do.
I know it's a little tricky to get on a longline bra. Thankfully, Comexim's longlines are not super long. I know some other people who fasten bras in the front while wearing silk camisole. Then twist the bra around; because the silk is so, well, slippery, it works :) Then lastly slide out the silk cami. I don't know if this would work for a longline though.
I admit I've never tried this method, but I was planning to, lol. Congrats on the "bra win."
I had been eying this bra for a while on Breakout Bras, but wasn't sure what size to get since my previous Comexim/Breakout Bras purchase ( 70N - Comexim » Magic Plunge Bra (455) , labelled 32JJ ) was too small. I finally took the plunge and ordered this in an 32K. It's a little big, but the wires would be too narrow in the next size down. There is a bit of shape mismatch, which I always get with padded bras. The gore doesn't quite tack, and the top of the cup gapes a bit on my smaller breast. It's not visible even with clingy tops though. This bra is far more comfortable than the Comexim Magic I own. It's definitely a keeper in my book.
Looks like a great fit! I like the simple but beautiful style. Congrats!
