As usual, I have another custom Half Cup from Comexim. It is a 3 part cup (a must to allow for enough projection for me). In the half cup style, Anna removed the pink ribbon that so many of us that owned Brigitte found to cut into our tissue, causing some serious fit issues. Instead of the ribbon, I have a delicate pink lace lining the tops of the cups. Review coming on the bloghttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Tanzilove, how do you order the 3 part cup? Is it only for larger cup sizes? That does look marvelously projected. Comexim bras have been fighting me lately.
This gives me hope, that I might be able to get an 80K or L of the half cup....
I asked about a 65M half cup and they said they do it so I'm sure you should be able to too Hootymyboobs
Ditto PetiteCollegiate - Tanzilove, how did you get Comexim to do a 3-part half cup? Is it just for larger sizes or did they do it custom?
PetiteCollegiate , Hootymyboobs and jennyanni , I believe that in larger cups size, it is automatic, but I always ask just to make sure. I have to email my orders in because of the size. Most of the bras I want are not offered on the website in my size. I just email Anna, let her know what I would like to order and give the alterations for each bra. I can never order Comexim bras "as is" the Plunge style is too tall for me, and for some reason, I always end up with a lot of extra material on each side of the gore in all Comexim styles, so I have her reduce that as well. It took a couple orders before we got it right, but they are pretty perfect now. :) Some styles that are originally Plunge styles, they will not make into a half cup, only because the style itself won't hold up in a half cup cut.
I want to try a half cup because they are reported to have more bottom projection and I fold over in the plunges I have tried. CHP is the closest Ewa cut I've tried, but the model I tried was too small and 80H's never appear.
I too am finding the 3 part half cups to have more projection than the plunges or single seam HCs and they, along with EM's CHPs, are becoming my go to bras.
I'm surprised so many of you found the 3 part half cups more projected than the plunges! I tried one and it was very shallow in comparison to the plunges I had. But it was also a much earlier model. Maybe they've perfected things a bit more. You are all tempting me to try one again! :D
This is the second Comexim plunge I’ve tried. My shape: FOB, centre full, short roots. The first plunge was the Jade in 80HH. I had thought that the HH cup would be the better fit, but now I’m not so sure. With that bra, the gore doesn’t quite tack, my centre tissue pushes out and quads slightly, and I feel like my centre tissue might fall out (it hasn’t). The band feels a little tight and the sides aren’t high enough with some tissue hanging over the top. This bra resolved those issues.
First impression when I tried on this bra was that it was way too big. However, ...once I’d properly adjusted (it’s amazing what a good swoop and scoop does), it fit quite well and almost functions like a full coverage bra for me. I have enough immediate projection, my centre tissue is contained and the gore tacks firmly. The side band is the right height and feels much more comfortable than the Jade. I have some wrinkling on the inner side and I’m not sure why but I don’t have wrinkling at the bottom of the cup which has been an issue for me. This is a good T-shirt bra as the seams aren’t visible and the neutral colour works well for me. My main issue with this bra is that the outer cup is too high but I would not want to lower the cup at the gore.
I think that in the future I would order Comexim plunges in 80J with a lowered cup as this size feels more comfortable. However if I want more cleavage I would consider ordering a plunge in 80HH.
Vivien in half cup. Another 3 part cup. I love anything purple. This is gorgeous, It reminds me of something old Victorian era. The purple floral print is gorgeous https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Dottie! Of course I had to have this in a Half Cup as well. It has a perfect pink lace trim at the top of the cups and a bow at the center gore made of the same pink lace. Super comfy like all of my Comexims https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> to review or not to review?
Since buying my first Comexim bra a little over a year ago, I’ve become a convert and wear these bras almost exclusively. The first bras I bought were 80HH, but I have realized that these are actually a little small and while initially comfortable, start to feel tight as I wear them. I ordered this and another bra from a fellow Bratabase member to see how I like the 80J fit and it does work much better for me. I have had this bra since last summer but am just getting around to reviewing it. The bra was ordered with reduced cup height and altered straps. This bra ...works well with my FOB, centre full, soft breasts. Even with the plunge style I don’t have the sensation that I am falling out of the cup. I do get some very mild quadding and have some wrinkles at the bottom of the cup. If I were to order again, I would request a deeper cup at the wire for more immediate projection and I think this would resolve the minor fit issues I have. Overall I like this bra and find it comfortable. Read more 84 more words
I'm a huge fan of Comexim bras too. They are SO comfortable and are great quality. Plus, it's a huge bonus that they do alterations for free and have cheap shipping. Glad this works for you.
My lovely Florence. This bra is so pretty. My customization's: made into a 3 part half cup with black lace trim instead of green. Straps moved in 2 cm, extra material at the gore removed. I like the 3 part half cups because it allows me to get the projection that I need. I will say that the band is firm in this one. Still wearable, but i think the black material for the band set me up as usual. I have had this one for awhile, but getting around to getting all my bras in the Bratabase https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> Will probably have a bigger review coming soon since I am falling in love with Comexim all over again.
This bra is so much more stunning in person than it is on the Comexim website, which seems to be quite the norm. The gold and green are perfect shades to compliment each other. The material is a satin, with lace trim at the tops of the cups. It runs very firm in the band, and unfortunately, this one did not come with my requested alterations, and is the standard plunge style. I have ordered it again with my alterations, and am so excited to get it, because it is that beautiful https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I can't wait to see the full review when it comes again :) I've always been curious about that one. I had a feeling the website photo didn't do it justice!
PetiteCollegiate , it is SOOOOO pretty! My pictures don't even do it justice. lol. Are you on Facebook? something blog-related?
Polish bras are tricky little things like that! I only have a personal Facebook right now. I've considered getting a blog one, but laziness.
I was a bit diappointed at first. The band kept rolling upwards wich made it quite uncomfortable. Then I finally got hold of some heavy strech elastic to improve the band to make it, less strechy. Now with the alteration it fits perfectly (when you can actually feel the weight distribution through the band and not just on the straps you know it finally does the job). Cups and straps were and still are fitting nicely.
I want so badly for this bra to be right. I really, really do! It is so pretty and I really prefer an unlined bra vs a lined or padded one.
Some people have found this bra to be scratchy, which I can see a bit from the embroidery. I wasn’t bothered by it for the short period I was trying it on. The embroidery is very pretty, but it is somewhat raised. This would be best to wear with a structured shirt or something heavy like a sweater if you don’t want to see the bumpiness. The mesh lining is much softer, which was lovely.
The straps are also ...embellished, which is lovely but impractical. You cannot fully adjust the straps because of the ribbon and embroidery on the front of straps.
My fit: The wire width is correct. The gore doesn’t quite tack for me, but I could live with it. I went with my true size because other Comexim styles I’ve tried were far too open on top when I sized up. This was a mistake. I am quadding out even on my smaller side. It also rides too close to my armpit on the side for my preference. It shows when I wear a high cut tank (which is basically my daily wear).
I also have a (perhaps unrealistic) expectation for a different shape. I thought I would get better lift when I find a bra that fits. You can see my unrealistic expectations in the pic where I am pulling up by the strap. Read more 148 more words
The Mimi has potential to be a good bra for me but this is the biggest disappointment in my current Comexim order. The top of the cup seems to be more closed off than other half cups and if I could get the sizing right, I feel like this could be a good bra for me. I have FOB, projected, centre full, short rooted breasts and like the immediate projection I can get with Comexim 3HC bras. I am slowly figuring out styles and modifications I need to get a well fitting bra. The Mimi looks exactly like the Basic bra I ordered, but dimensions and fit ...are very different as you can see from this link: https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dnac8/
I initially thought the fit was okay for this bra, but when I actually got things properly situated I ended up with quad boob, even with my smaller breast. I thought I may settle into the bra as I wore it, but I still had quadding even after wearing it for several hours. I ordered this with increased depth at the wire and decreased cup height. The cup height seems to be too short for me (not an issue I typically have). The band is stretchy, but the bra still feels tight. The quadding is all towards the centre, so I’m not sure if moving the straps and not reducing the cup height would improve the fit in 80J or if I should try this bra in 80K. If I order 80K, with the straps moved in, should I still reduce the cup height since I’m short rooted? Read more 160 more words
This bra's measurements have been altered
Reduced cup height, 2cm increased depth at the wire.
Kasey17 something else worries me, I mean the wrinkles on the side panels are tell-tale signs of a "downslide", i mean the front portion has enough momentum to cope with forwards bending albeit it des not anchor well vertcally.
Which is why IMHO it "pivots" around the straps attachement to the cups and increases the upper cup back and downwards pressure.
To me it lacks of wings mometup (depth) to transfer workload on the strap. What happens if you decrease straps tension ? Would it slide down or "slouch", like, attmept to ride over the boobs ?
I ordered this a 3HC with increased depth at the wire and decreased cup height. It is a comfortable bra. The only issue is that the top does not always lie flat on my breasts. The fit is pretty good, the band is comfortable snug and overall I am happy with the fit. I regret not requesting having the straps moved in, but the current strap position isn’t a major issue. This is a much better fit than the Mimi I ordered at the same time.

This is a comfortable bra. It has been modified with altered straps and reduced cup height. I bought it from another Bratabase member and I’m really happy with my purchase. The strap on this bra is super stretchy, it is far stretchier than any other Comexim bra I own. I don’t know if it’s just this bra or the style, but it feels like it has a larger band size. I still feel supported in this bra and it is one of my go to bras when I am looking for comfort. Cup size works for my FOB, centre full breasts. I have problems with filling the top of full coverage cups and the reduced cup height works well to ensure I don’t have gaping at the top of the cup. The fabric is pretty, but the sparkles do come off. Be careful with initial washing as the dye runs a bit. Overall, I am happy with this bra and wear it frequently.
Purchased in Fall 2018, but I can't remember from where/whom. It has no label/tag, so the size is my best-guess so I could add it. It looks very much like my Anna Pardal Hibiscus, except the base is red instead of beige, and it doesn't have the edging on the cups. It's a beautiful bra with handy reconfigurable straps and 4 rows of 3 hooks. The cups are comfortably lined in red cotton. My only complaint with this bra is the straps which are VERY difficult to adjust. I have them tightened all the way, too, so I'd have to have them taken in if I wanted to go shorter.
This is a beautiful, understated tshirt bra in a pale beige. Unfortunately, the cups are too small for me. I have a variety of 75J/K-80J Comexims that fit fine, so this one either runs small or is mismarked; it fits like a 34FF/G.
Argh! I am the second owner of this bra and have the same issues that prevented us both from wearing it. The cups are too large and the band is freaky tight. I have a variety of 75-80J-K Comexim bras and this one is more like a 70K-75L. I really believe that the tag on this one is a mistake from the factory. It is gorgeous, and I bet it would be fab under a tshirt because the embellishment and seaming is very fine/tight.
This bra is another one that is so much prettier in person. A 3 part cup, made of satin raspberry material with a tiny floral print. The band is pretty firm on this one, probably due to the black band.
This is in the Plunge style. With all of my Comexim bras, there are certain alteration that I have to have made in order for the bras to fit properly. Luckily, Anna knows them well. I get reduced cups, straps moved in 2 cm, and extra materiel removed at the gore to alleviate gaping. As with all of my Comexim bras, this is super comfy. The color is a deep blue that almost looks purple sometimes.
I'm more or less still trying to figure out my size in this bra. The fit is tricky, for sure. I've had this in a 70, 75, and now an 80, and they all feel like the same band size. Needless to say, the band for this is entirely too small. I've found that the cups run small, too, so I sized up in the cup, in hopes it would fit just right. The cup in this is a bit too big, but I really only have noticeable gaping when I slouch forward. I think this will be great during my period when my boobs swell about half ...a cup size. Hopefully, the band won't be too tight then, even with an extender.
The shape it provides might be my best by far out of any other Comexim bra I've had, though, so I guess the compromises in fit are worth it. Looks-wise, it is beautiful, and a classic but sexy black lace bra. In person, the beige foam, rather than the lace overlay, is much more apparent than in pictures, so it's a bit lighter than expected. Read more 79 more words
