So, this is the first time I've tried a Comexim. I was always curious, but what I'd seen of larger sizes did not really appeal to me - the shape looked more flat and wide than EM's in my size range. But when this showed up in about my size at a very reasonable price, i had to try it.
Fabric - a very interesting lace pattern. I dont think I've seen anything like it. Its not stretchy and its slightly itchy, hopefully that will wash out. The band is very stretchy. While it does stretch to about 34 inches, I ...only had it on the 2nd set of hooks, because its reasonably firm.
Wires are really quite narrow. I tried to take another picture showing where the wires are with my fingers, but really you can tell because the wires are where it changes from sheer lace to solid black. They dont go in to my arm pit and my boobs are visibly bulging out of them, meaning they create a good backstop for my boobs so they dont go trying to escape in to my armpits. BUT the wires are softer than I'm used to, so if I pull more armpit flab in, it doesnt really seem to stay.
Also I think the soft wires may be contributing to the odd shape mismatch in the front.
Size. I THINK it fits? At first it seemed huge, but then I tightened the straps a LOT. which could mean its supposed to fit like a half-cup and i'm wearing it pulled up like a not-half-cup? Or maybe the straps are really long? Of course, because of the placement, the strap buckle on my smaller side comes way up to my shoulder, which promises to be uncomfortable.
Shape. Shape is weird. I cant figure out what I think.
In the front, the shape looks completely different on the two sides of my body. The cup seems to come up much higher on my smaller boob, which sort of makes sense, except that thats not how my boobs fit in other bras. Even tho my boobs are always different sizes.
There is a weird flattened area on my bigger boob (not far from where the flattened area is when I wear my 70J - Ewa Michalak » Sm Fiolecik (642) - which makes me think my bigger boob has a flat area?) . . . but the bra makes my boobs look pretty crazy round under a shirt. Of course, often that amazing roundness is the first thing to go when fabrics stretch, but still.
The weirdest part of the fit is at the top of the cup near my armpit, on the smaller side. There is just a ton of extra fabric. I tried to take a picture of me pinching that extra fabric, but I didnt realize the picture didnt take until I was already changed. But I DO have a picture where I dropped a little tub of lip balm in to the extra fabric. It looks kinda like its digging in to my boob, but its not. Its just hanging out in this pocket of extra fabric. There's also a side picture where you can see how much wrinkling there is in that same part of the bra.
So, what do I think? I have no idea. Advice? Comments?
Oh, i think the straps were moved in originally? idk.
Hey, it doesn't look too bad! I kinda like it. :) I love the round shape that it gives you!
Half-cups definitely make a different shape than the balconettes that you're used to. You'll notice the cups are made with ONLY vertical pieces instead of having one horizontal piece along the top. Vertical pieces help create that round, close-to-the chest look. I don't know if I'd compare the fit/shape of this in absolute terms against your other bras that *aren't* half-cups. It's like apples to oranges. They're both tasty fruit but slightly different. :)
That empty space at the top of the cups is why lots of people request "reduced cup height." That alteration helps make the cups not so tall near the strap area. So, I'd say if you were ever to order from Comexim, definitely request this alteration!
Hmm, wonder if that flat area is just a result of the cup being a smidge too small for your bigger breast. I guess it's a bit tricky if the cups are too small for the bigger breast and too big for the smaller breast!
Overall, I think it's GORGEOUS and I love the shape it gives under a shirt! If you decide you don't like it, let me know and I may buy it from you. :)
Forgot to mention, yes, Comexim wires are quite soft, especially compared to the steel-framed Panache wires. Many people find the soft wires to be a welcome comfort compared to stiffer wires. Comexim does offer *stronger wires* as an alteration, but they're still not as firm as Panache wires (maybe closer to EM, then?)
Interesting! Looks nice, love the lace! How is it in wear? Comfortable? So no quad boob and good shape under shirt :) The wires are softer but do they contort?
I havent really worn it yet. I just tried it on to take pics. and i dont think they are contorting but i'm not sure? and its so hard to see black bras in pics
I'm not in your size range at all, so I can't really say anything helpfull, but I do like the look of it! You look great in it! :)
I think this looks really nice on you! Also agree with BumbleBean about Comexim having soft wires.
I also think it looks nice on you! The top excess fabric I think is a Comexim thing. I got that too but I can live with it. Hope it's comfy and you keep it!
Comexim definitely has really soft wires, even softer than EM. It's one of those things I really like and also find annoying at the same time - on one hand they're *so comfy*, but on the other I prefer the stability I get from a full tack. I don't find Panache's wires uncomfortable, though, I love how hard they are because I need that for support.
This is a half cup and you're mostly used to balconettes, and the two are really different in shape. I personally adore half cups and would wear them every day if I could! I think it looks good, personally. Comexim 3HC has the most projection at the wire of any bra I've tried (even more than EM CHP) - it simply does not budge when I have it on.
Since i havent had a half cup (in decades anyways) I was just wanting to make sure this looks like a fit, not like a too-big halfcup being cinched up by the straps
Looks great on you! I think it fits you. The extra fabric is I think a comexim thing like roxannelovesbras. It can be removed by requesting 'reduced cups' imo. Btw, I asked the moved in straps 2cm for the records.
Thanks - also, just to be sure, I folded the bra over - the cups seem to be identical. I've seen a lot of ppl having weird problems and the bra looks so uneven on me, but I guess its just me, being uneven in the bra!
once again i'm really grateful that my boobs are low. I mean, i dont like the way it LOOKs, as I'm not quite 5'2, but at least tall bras dont pinch my armpits
I don't think they do reduced cup on the half cup from what I read ..but may be wrong . Em wires are almost to soft I have been thinking about comexim but if they are more flexible idk wonder if they would double up on the underwires hmm . I think if you took a dart where the wrinkles are it would get rid of them and give a bit of lift I have wrinkles there in almost all my bras and put a dart in most of them . The bra just thinks you have boob where you don't , or keep chapstick there ;) . I think it does look like you are having to tighten the straps a lot to get the lift something I tend to do as well.
I think it's a pretty bra and what a lovely shape makes me want a half cup too . A unlined half cup sigh so pretty it only comes in black right? So nice seeing it on someone my size range and height . I am thinking half cups would suit me well just need to figure out the sizing .
@lvp oh they do on the bigger size like 80k~, not much though.
I know this is an old review, but I saw the mention that this was an UNLINED bra, and thought I would share my own experience with the unlined 70HH - Comexim » Emily Full Cup (85), and what Jaimie @ BraObsessed had to say.
So my usual size in Comexim is 70HH/J*, at least in the black-banded Comexims I've tried so far, but the Emily ran quite big all over and I would've needed at least a 65HH in it.
* for some reason Comexim does an HH cup _instead_ of an I.
The Emily is one of very few bras where I felt the need to tighten the straps a lot (like you describe doing), but it still didn't alleviate the sense I had that the bra was doing very little to support my boobs -- definitely not a problem I have had in either of the padded Comexims I've tried.
When I showed pictures of the Emily to Jaimie, I could sense her wrinkling her nose, and she told me that she's not a fan of Comexim's older unlined bras because of exactly the cup problems I was having. She says they're not as supportive as their padded bras, and that only the newer mesh styles (like the Comexim Naomi Balcony Bra (418) ) can hold a candle to EM's unlined styles!
So if you can find another padded Comexim for offer that seems like it would match your measurements, I would suggest giving the brand another try. :|a
Thanks. There was a blogger who wore pretty big padded comexims and I just didnt like the way they looked. But who knows. Maybe some day
I got this bra used off another bratabaser, so it seemed too good a chance to pass up
dbmamaz we are very similar in size and I have to say that I tried a padded half cup and it was a failure . Even after adding additional underwires to the "stronger " ones that came with it , putting two wires in each channel there is still collapsing of the cup after short wearing it's honestly just not strong enough fabrics throughout for very large not self supporting breast . your lace one looks to support you better than I get out of the foam cup. I put the brand on my it's just not for the very endowed .
Omg it is soooo cute and sexy. The combination of black race and pink bows is divine lol. As a sheer bra it looks quite sturdy as well. The material used for the band is also sturdy, so that it feels a little bit too snug for size 80. I think it fits like snug 34 band. The gore is tall but super narrow like other comexim plunge bras. What a perfection only if it fits......
Love it! I have mine Sharon but its made as coco with two vertical seams and love it so much! you must get it in your size as its very comfy when its on
martka00 I also love the design of Sharon! I think Sharon looks sexier though,.lol Anyway, I will definitely re-order coco!!! :D
For me i prefer black and red rather than pink :D and im just waiting for new collection so hopefully I can order another soft bra in this style :D
Oh, I also hope Comexim makes more soft bras this season especially in this style!! If they do, I will wait for them too!!! :)
Did you ever think about ordering the sheer one with purple details ? Im kind of interested in it.. but not really sure about it as well
You mean this one? http://www.comexim.pl/en/balkonetka/418-naomi-biustonosz.html I'm interested in but doubt if it fits me well since Comexim plunge cut doesn't work for me. If comexim makes it halfcup style, I will order haha. Not now, in summer I will ask them ;)
yup extaclty that one.. well for my small boobs plunges are okay, so i may try it :D or ill just wait for new collection that I cant wait for!
If you buy one, please share your review on bratabase <3 I also can't wait for the new collection. Maybe they too busy to design and make new bras?
Well we will see but I've been told that new collection will come up in March so let's wait
Oh really? I didn't know that. Yap let's wait, we can't wait though lol.
Wow what a pretty bra , stunning really . I was looking at their soft bras just last night wishing that I could tell what they looked like better ..thanks for the review and pictures . Hardly anyone talks about this style in comexim and I was unsure .
Ivp Yes. This is a pretty and sturdy bra giving a great shape (round and cakes on plates kind of shape!) as long as it fits, but not many review are written here. It is weird isn't it? I was soooo curious what it looks like in my size, and am happy now. I will definitely re order it for the warming weather :)
I recently purchased two unlined Ivonne for "science." Seriously, it would dramatically increase my willingness to purchase if the measurements for every size were available. Every bra I order from Comexim is altered and unreturnable. If I were a manufacturer, .... Glad to read this is supportive, rounds, and has a narrow gore. Thanks for adding data :-) :-)
DressTheTwins As a online bra shopper, totally agreed with you. If the measurements for every size were available, I would buy more bras(!) than now lol. Anyway thanks for the comments :)
(for an initial review of my first Comexim bra -a standard 80M plunge please see my Megan review) My first time getting a bra with adjustments from Comexim. After a few emails back and forth, I bought two different plunge bras and asked that they both be made in a longline 80M, with the following adjustments: “1. Bowl 1 cm deeper
2. Move the straps 2 cm in
3. Can you also make a narrower and shorter gore? The cups were slightly too far apart
4. Can you use narrower wires? The outside wire of the cup was about 3 cms from my breast tissue, but I filled the volume ...of the cup”
#1 was previously discussed to be adding projection/depth to the cup near the wire- I think it was misunderstood as to be adding an inch of depth/height in the wire.
Initial try on thoughts: they did not seem to change the gore at all. The wires are not closer or crossing and also doesnt appear lower. If I have the fabric sit where it covers me well, the wires dont sit in my IMF. I can fit 3-4 fingers between the bottom wire and my root tissue (although I need that give in the fabric cup- if that were simply made into the band, the cup would not be big enough. I can also fit 3-4 fingers between the wire and my outside root tissue.
If I attempt to hike up the wire to my IMF, the outside wire attempts to stab me in the armpit. I cant get the bra fully in my IMF because I cant unattach my arm. Trying to hold it higher, I also begin to get a lot of gapping in the top/outer cup. The longline also tends to roll, just the very bottom elastic, despite my waist being the same measurement as my underbust. I was hoping it would spread out the tension I get where the bottom part of gores of other bras sort of turn to stab me in the chest. It does seem to be spreading out that pressure despite rolling. There’s something scratchy about the bottom hook of 5, like an unfinished glued edge? The green material sort of feels like swimsuits? Or costumey? And is more green than the teal I thought it was in the pictures. Sort of a Jade color. Maybe close to this? https://www.pantone.com/color-finder/7480-C, where the picture looked more like this https://www.pantone.com/color-finder/3262-C
As for how the alterations went: It is a longline, although the elastic rolls at the very bottom. The bowl does seem different, but largely because of where the wires now sit, it actually lost depth by measurements. The straps may have been moved but not enough, although 2 cm’s is the max they would do. The gore seems unchanged. The wires seem changed, but worse? (They’re an inch longer, so I wonder if that was the cup depth they added? Thinking I meant cup height in the wire, not projection by the wire? They are also .25 narrower at the top of the cup, but still almost 2 inches too wide)
I wonder if getting a bra sister sized to like an 70 O but then altered or used with extenders to get the band back to an 80 would work better than asking for more specific cup alterations to an 80M, or if this just wont work for me. I still seem to have too skinny of a frame compared to the width of the cups/wires and straps. Due to the longline, this gore is not turning sideways or stabbing me, although the elastic at the bottom of the longline constantly flips up. The wires are just way off.
Quality: For as much effort as ordering custom international stuff is, I'm a little disappointed with this materials feel-like half scuba? and that one of the loops is already pulled crooked/loose after one try-on. There's also an issue with the end of the row of hooks, the fabric seam is either melted or glues together and a little scratchy. Everything else seems really durable.
Comfort: short-term less comfy than my unaltered one, since the wire's just way too long and jabs both my under arm and into my torso instead of laying in my IMF. No issue with the gore stabbing me for once. Long term im not sure if those issues will be better or worse than the gore turning and the bottom sort of stabbing issues I've had with previous bras.
Appearance: not quite the color scheme I thought I was ordering. The black and green isnt quite as sharp as the teal and black I thought I was getting. It'd be nicer looking if it fit right, but overall it looks good. I dont particularly care for the black bows
Update: 10 months: I have never worn this for a full day. I've worn it for a couple quick five minute tasks outside where I want a bra on, and every other one was in the laundry. This is essentially an emergency back-up only because it's so uncomfortable to wear, but I feel the need to have a bra on to go outside. I'm still attempting to decide if Im going to try to sew my own thing with some of the materials, or sell/donate it. Read more 775 more words
MAGIC BIUSTONOSZ colorway
This bra's measurements have been altered
Altered band,
Asked Comexim for the following alterations: 1. Bowl 1 cm deeper (at the wire) 2. Move the straps 2 cm in 3. Can you also make a narrower and shorter gore? The cups were slightly too far apart 4. Can you use narrower wires? The outside wire of the cup was about 3 cms from my breast tissue, but I filled the volume of the cup 5. Longline
My first Comexim, with no alterations, worn out of the box for a few hours on the loosest hook: (side note this shipped in a box slightly bigger than a VHS box, for those people that hate that kind of thing. It did seem to come out fine. It also took about a week of shipping in Poland, then 3 weeks to get through the USPS system although it's during Covid)
Normally I wear about a 34H/HH (if UK bras fit), and about an 80HH in Ewa Mickalak, but I ordered an 80M based off comexim's side chart and my measurements and extrapolating how those numbers would work off the ...chart. I both love, and am disappointed by this.
I ordered the Megan longline off the website in an 80J (the max cup in that band), but wrote 80M in the comments as their email instructed for getting a custom size. I received an 80M but without the longline, so I assume this is the standard plunge. (I wanted to try a standard to then see what alterations I wanted to try). I dont like that I paid extra and didnt get a longline, so I'd be sure to say that specifically if ordering again.
The straps are too wide- they are 100% in my armpit. I'm not sure how asking that to be altered will effect how the cup sits, but right now the shape is pretty good. It's almost squared off which is odd, as Ewa's seemed triangluar (like the outside was chopped off), and Curvy Kate seems rounder. It's odd how the shapes change so drastically between brands in this size. The shape is defiantly better than most bras for how narrow/omega shaped but projected I am. The wires are also too wide at the sides. I can fit 3 fingers between the wire and the root of my tissue on the outside of the cup. Im not sure if I can ask for a 75N or 75O to be added on an 80 band, but somehow I need smaller wires. The band itsself fits pretty well, except for the bottom of the gore. I had a similar issue with my Ewa's where my breasts seems to push the top of the gore out slightly and the bottom of the gore would then dig into my sternum. This bra is doing something similar, but to a lesser degree. Trying to feel where the fabric strains, I think I need more immediate projection at the wire or a narrower gore- I'm not sure which or if I need both. The strain seems to be in the first/middle panel, and none on the outside. I think it's the right volume cup, but more of my tissue is in the middle, while the cup is designed to have more to the outside. (I always have a gap in the outer side bottom of my cups, but strain on the inner bottom. I almost have to do the opposite of Swoop and Scoop to fit in a lot of bras) This really makes me want to try to make a 70 O cup to throw on an 80 band or something similar to see if that would fix a lot of issues. i think a lot of my issues may be solved by the whole cradle of the bra being made narrower, so theres not useless cup on my side, but with a larger band so it fits around me. I just wish I didnt have to sew it or order that from Poland to try that. Also, the gore tacks, but is wide enough it turns slightly sideways inbetween my breasts.
Volume/projection seems ok otherwise. I have slight gapping at the top edge of the cup if I don't swoop and scoop, but it fills in if I remember to do that. I also am -slightly- short rooted for this bra so there's a tiny gap under the strap connection.
It may be my most wearable bra so far, comfort and fit wise. Besides the strap being much to far apart, the fit issues aren't actively irritating after a couple hours wear. Appearance wise, I love the color scheme, Im going to have to get used to the new, boxier, or squared off shape. The lines of lace/copper definately show through a t-shirt which is irrtating and current-me wishes past-me ordered a plainer one, while at the same time loving the copper. (It is a shiney metalic orange similar to a bright copper). The quality seems ok. Really Ewa and Comexim seem compareable to a lot of the mass manufactured people in quality from what I've seen. Comexim makes me nervous that I didnt really get the style I was asking for, but I liked that I didnt have to pay VAT or a paypal merchant fee like Ewa had (both are shadey/illegal?)
I just wish the process of getting and altering them was easier, especially with the stories I've heard and the English/Polish language barrier or whatever seems to make Comexim inconsistant with orders/alterations. Not getting the longline I paid for makes me hesitant to try again. Im also not sure if I order a second bra, would I move the straps in, more intimidate projection by the wire or a smaller gore, narrower wires or a deeper but narrower cup size, or what to do? I'll probably send an email to the reply on how to order the 80M and explain fit issues in English and hope someone over there can speak English enough to help.
{At this point Im looking into sewing my own, even to just play around with ideas before ordering a professionally made thing again, but 34HH cup pattern is hard enough to find. If I have to change cup size to get them narrower but the same volume otherwise- so a 32J or 30JJ but just sticking them close together on a 34 band- that's a lot harder to get a cup pattern for.}
It would be so lovely to just point at a pretty bra and be able to get it in my size. this was sort of my last-hope try without going into alterations, so Im disappointed. At least they do make alterations so that's some new hope? Its easy to get excited about all the lovely patterns and fabrics, but also sort of hard to get excited when my first one was already a little messed up and more alterations I need to ask for means a bigger chance of not getting what I ordered. Hi ystonl i would say it is hard to get those narrower wires from Comexim i can't speak to it because the time I tried i don't think it worked but a few things. Perhaps you could go with the 75 in a bigger cup and request they add an extra set of hooks and use an extender if needed.
The gore you have although it tacks may bee too wide still so you can try a narrowed and overlapped gore to help, but also maybe a reduced gore so you can have the gore tack below that point. I do this all the time for my close set, center fullness even though I have a large cup.
I will also warn you that moving in the straps, reducing the gore, and reducing the cup height can essentially cause you to loose a cup volume so it's ok to go up a cup or 2 depending on how much you are altering.
Love it love it love it. I love myself in it haha. I believe the combination of black and pink is divine. (Yes it is! Lol) I ordered it as a two seamed halfcup and longline with cookie pockets and moved in straps 2cm. It fits like 34J so does not fit me.....
Addition: I altered the strap position. So the cup size is perfect for me. However......... Now it is too big in the band....ugh...https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> The material of the band stretches easily, so that it fits like 38Gish now. Even though the cup size is correct, the band can't hold my boobs at all. I hate to give up this bra since it was my first well-fitting comexim 3hc.
Twoflower, I'm seriously sad to hear that, so the band runs a bit tight? Are the cups too small as well? I think the 70N should be ok I will be ordering a plunge with a reduced gore. The 70M I have quads on both sides now more than I want and I'm off my cycle smh.
Still looks gorg
So pretty , makes me really want a long line bra
MissAponii The band runs true to 'comexim' size lol. It is a little bit tight but not so firm. And comparing to the plunge cut with reduced cups in size of 85L (same as 80M), the plunge cut is slightly smaller imo. I think it is because the upper part of plunge cut is more closed.
Ivp It is comfy as well ;)
I bet it is Twoflower and would possibly help my bra slipping down in the front problem .
I currently wear Comexim 80M plunges, so I thought I was just getting another look, or maybe slight variation of that cut. Although, at this point I'm fairly certain no two Comexims are sewn the same, and asking for alterations just caused me more problems. For this particular bra, the cups are too far apart, and since there is a gap in the gore, my tissue tries to push out and under the wire into the center gap. The bottom strip lies flat on my sternum and fits correctly. Putting it on, this band felt much looser than other 80M's I have, so it may be a fabric that ...stretches out more. If I was in a physical store of these I would have definitely sized down to a 75 band. The cups of this bra are in my armpits too much. More than normal for my Comexim's. The purple stretch lace isnt anchored to the black cup at the top of the cup, and the black cup just barely covers my nipples- seems like a half cup/balcony of some sort. I definitely have a subtle quadboob right where the black cup ends. I also have room in the outer cup without tissue to the wire. The purple stretch lace also stretches A LOT and I had to fully tighten the straps, as the strap tension seemed like the only thing keeping me from spilling out the center. (Without straps and with half-tall cups, they just fall down) I worry this is too much strain for the stretch lace, and wish there was a more supportive element in it. The side wing height is too tall for me, and the top of the cup is crumpling against my tail of spence/armpit. Actually about 1/2 the triangle up from the cup to reach my shoulder is coming out of my armpit, curving around my arm to go up. I think this is too east/west for me, significantly more than normal for a comexim. it's a little annoying to import a bra to have it be as east/west as one domestically obtainable. I'm considering wearing it a few times to make sure I need to alter it, (because then it may get doomed to the work-in-progress box) but I think I might simply close the center front gap by essentially sewing the wires together. Since the cups seem to far apart and the straps are too far apart, and the band seems too big, I hope that would solve it.
For any purple lovers out there, what I got did not look like the color pictured. I know it's difficult to express true colors online. The color on my screen appeared like a dusty darker lavender. A nice color that felt like it went along with the name Purple Love. The color I got is much closer to a vivid magenta or a really bright sangria, closer to the color of the butterfly on their website than the lavender I expected. Or maybe this https://www.pantone.com/color-finder/227-C As someone who likes purple but doesn't like pink, it was surprising and not a color I hoped for.
Quality wise: All fabric seem nice, the sewing seems good. I wish the cup was more secured to the stretch lace, and that that stretch lace was reinforced or at least not as strained between the cup and shoulders- where it seems to be supporting the weight (more like a bralette than a bra). I also wish they were slightly better about piecing together the stretch lace where there werent extra-bumpy outercup seams. I am a big enough size to not hope for pattern-matching or seamless, but felling down the seam edge should could easily be done with a little more care.
Comfort: Too east/west, crumpling against my armpits, tissue trying to escape center-front. It's not unwearable, but its not comfortable. The stretch lace is really soft, so that's nice.
Appearance: The lace coming out of my armpit to reach my shoulder is very crumpled and not at all flattering. Worse, it make large lines that are visible through shirts. The wires at the center front which are sort of the focal point are all weird wince the gore is too wide, yet had no structure to hold it in place against my tissue. Where I sort of quad boob- under the center wire is not flattering or comfortable. I was also somewhat disappointed by the color, which to me seems very different than pictured. I normally wear this size (80M) in Comexim plunges, so I expected this to fit like the others I have (besides the fact that ever Comexim I get seems sewn somewhat differently) This seems very similar to the Mint Pearl Flower I got in the same order. The cradle/ band seem fine. I'm a little thrown off by how odd my breast sit in this despite it being the same size and cut I've gotten before. However this one was cut, my breast end up touching for an inch above the gore (something they get close to but dont normally do naturally or in other comexims) Until I really tightened the ...straps I thought the cups were going to be too big. That didnt end up being the case. While the top/center 1/3 of my tissue is not contained in the center front, there does seem to be empty cup in the armhole area, and on the sides this results in an indented line where the fabric strain of the strap runs across the the upper outer cup. Weird, but not uncomfortable? Unfortunately visible through any thinner shirts. Seams don't seem to be visible through a thin shirt, however nipple bumps are.
Quality: fabrics seem to be more basic everyday (and hopefully durable) focused more than soft/luxury. Actually feels nicer than the Pearl Mint, and the outer satin is nice.
Comfort: I think the wires are a little long for my underarms, and there's a little too much bra cup in my armpit, but it seems like it will be daily-rotation wearable, although not a favorite.
Appearance: I like that it's a beige without too much decoration so I can have something to wear under thin light colors without being seen. I wish the nipple bump was more concealed and I may have to see if I can add a cookie to hid that. I also hope the upper out cup stress lines dont show a lot, because that sort of defeats the point of a beige bra without lace/decorations. I will have to get used to how my chest sits in this, which is a different shape than my other Comexims so far (such as the Megan). Read more 253 more words
THIS BRA IS NOT PADDED since there are no descriptions, and all the other bras I've bought have been padded I thought Id mention this, as I would not have bought an unpadded bra. It even looks padded with how the stripey mesh turns to a solid color- similarly to the padded Purple Love style.
My regular bras are 80M Comexims, and that is what I got in this bra.
The longline rolls up, despite me just getting gradually smaller not any bigger from my underbust to waist, band size seems fine and not like a size issue, more of a design/construction flaw. It seems like the bottom half 1/4 inch ...of elastic just seem sewn on too small, like it was completely stretched out to be sewn on, and that seems like the part that flip rolls a little, then stops. The stripey stretch mesh fits and sits fine until that bit.
Straps are too far apart
Wire are VERY splayed away from my roots, Moreso than other Comexim's, and around the whole bottom and outside of the cup. The cup is not nearly projected enough and pulling me very flat. Im disappointed because I have UK bras more projected and the whole hassle of buying non-returnable (becuase of size) Polish bras is to get something projected. Im somewhat Omega shaped, but this almost seems like the wrong cup size because of the shapeing. Not what I expect from a Polish brand. The underwires on this are VERY tall compared to my other Comexim 80M plunges. To not be stabbed in the armpit, I would have the bottom wire about an inch below my root. Because I cant get the wires next to my roots and the cup isnt projected, I have breast tissue that should be projected being smooshed into the area between my root and the wire (this is happening at the bottom and outer-side. Occasionally when I breath, the wire shifts and pinches that tissue. If it were possible to return this I would. Somehow I also quadboob into the middle. I keep double checking that the tag says 80M, because this fits terribly. I ordered 4 bras all size 80 M and this is the only one this off, so I suspect it's a pattern issue not a wrong tag installed.
Quality: materials seem good. As for the sewing and pattern, I am disappointed with the rolling up of the band, as well as size scaling issues or whatever happened where this bra's cups are almost unwearable compared my normal Comexims. I hate that it is the only brand to somewhat fit and I have to gamble with every order on whether the fit will be remotely the same.
Comfort: none to speak of. While it isn't constantly painful, I would have to unroll the band every minute or sit with it bunched up, feel compressed, and occasionally be stabbed in the armpit by an underwire, or occasionally have tissue that was forced between the wire and my roots get pinched by an underwire. It is unfortunately not a bra I would recommend to others, yet I dont know if it's this style or Comexim's inconsistancy.
Appearance: While nipple bumps may be considered sexy and part of the design, they are not a feature I want in my bras, so I wish this had padding. Further, the band rolling up is either a lump under clothing, or a constant adjustment. I quadboob out the center, and the wire doesnt follow my roots leaving compressed tissue to sort of double back and fill that root to wire gap. So rather than the sheer mesh being a cute feature, it is simply a window into the various fit issues. Read more 509 more words
I normally wear this size (80M) in Comexim plunges, so I expected this to fit like the others I have (besides the fact that ever Comexim I get seems sewn somewhat differently) The cradle/ band seem fine. I'm a little thrown off by how odd my breast sit in this despite it being the same size and cut I've gotten before. However this one was cut, My breast end up touching for two inches about the gore (something they get close to but dont normally do naturally or in other comexims) Untill I really tightened the strap I thought the cups were going to be too big. That didnt end ...up being the case. WHile the top/center 1/3 of my tissue is not contained in the center front, there does seem to be empty cup in the armhole area, and on one side this results in an indented line where the fabric strain of the strap runs across the the upper outer cup. Weird, but not uncomfortable? Probably unfortunately visible through some shirts.
Quality: fabrics seem to be more basic everyday (and hopefully durable) focused more than soft/luxury. The picot trim at the bottom of the band and around the armholes irritates me a little- hopefully that will go away with a few washes/wear. The inner cup is white and the color seems to be a printed mesh laid over the white. This mesh is very rustley. Im not used to that much noise from bra fabric.
Comfort: I think the wires are a little long for my underarms, and there's a little too much bra cup in my armpit, but it seems like it will be daily-rotation wearable, although not a favorite.
Appearance: I love that this material is a print that is a light color and a subtle enough print that it can hide beneath some light colored shirts. Im sure with a thin white it would show, but I can wear this under some light colored shirts and have a "fun" colored bra without it showing. Most bras that arent black/white/beige are very dark or loud colors and patterns, so its nice to have something fun that work of works as a beige. That being said, I hope the upper out cup stress lines dont show a lot, and i will have to get used to how my chest sits in this, which is a different shape than my other Comexims so far. Initial wear: (for an initial review for a standard 80M plunge by Comexim please see my Megan review) My first time getting a bra with adjustments from Comexim.
The outside wire of the cup was about 3 cms from my breast tissue, but I filled the volume of ...the cup”
#1 was previously discussed to be adding projection/depth to the cup near the wire- I think it was misunderstood as to be adding an inch of depth/height in the wire on the other bra I got, the Magic, however Im not sure this bra was actually altered AT ALL.
This did come as a longline (my first order was supposed to be a longline and was delivered not as one). It feels very soft and not as heavy duty/structural compared to the Magic. The straps are too far apart for me. The wires are only about 2 finger widths too wide on the sides and outer bottom, but fit in my IMF and next to my cleavage-area root well. This one actually had crossed wires (The Magic didnt and the unaltered Megan didnt). Im not sure if the gore is shorter or not, but it isnt flipping side to side in a short wear. As the "longline" is mostly lace (with only 3 hooks) the lace goes wherever my body pushes it. The cup shape is good, although it doesnt quite follow my curve on the top edge (although it doesnt wrinkle or quad). The biggest cup shape issue is due to wire shape it doesnt follow the outside edge of my root. Im not sure if this band is particularly stretchy or what, but it almost feels as if the band is a size bigger. Im not sure if this bra came in the standard, not altered size, as it fits nothing like the Magic I got and similarly to the Megan. Be careful anyone ordering from Comexim. The first time I got an unwanted alteration. This time it seems as my instructions for BOTH was only used on one. And despite saying they'd ask if they needed clarification, I think they did one of my requested alterations almost backwards on that one, giving me even taller cups instead of more immediate projection.
Quality: this one is very soft and comfortable. I love how soft and stretchy the lace is- almost like pajamas. However I wonder if that gives up some support. Also the cradle is simply the lace with a grey mesh backing- so it feels more like pajamas than a durable daily bra. To be determined with more wear.
Comfort: feels like pajamas
Appearance: cute, although the lace shows texture under a shirt.
Update: 10 months and 2 weeks: the band is still a little larger than I would like and I think has stretched out about one hook's width. This is probably my best fitting bra currently and the only one that doesnt hurt by the end of the day. The "longline" lace regularly just bunches up and has to be smoothed back down. This bra's measurements have been altered
Altered straps,
1. Bowl 1 cm deeper 2. Move the straps 2 cm in 3. Can you also make a narrower and shorter gore? The cups were slightly too far apart 4. Can you use narrower wires? The outside wire of the cup was about 3 cms from my breast tissue, but I filled the volume of the cup?
I absolutely love this bra. It's a bit tight around the sternum, but the support it gives is incredible. I'll be getting a band extender for it because that seems to be the only problem - a bit tight around the band and the gore is a bit high for me. It's so soft to the touch, and the design is so cute. I love this bra!
A two seamed halfcup bra. No modification for this one. Fits like 34j/36hh ish. Although it does not fit me, I think this is a great everyday bra. Its quality is more than what you expect for the price. I'll definitely re-order this one with moved in straps.
Oh, i think the straps were moved in originally? idk.
