  1. Coco (381)

I decided to order this bra last month after the underwire popped out of my 36HH - Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) , since I needed a replacement but couldn't find any Envys under $60...and because I was curious about how unlined Comexims fit. I have a particular love of half cups, because they work so well with my shape (very short, projected, and full on bottom). Of course there's little info to go on; comparing the measurements of an 80M Coco with my 85K - Comexim » Sonia Half Cup (406) made me opt to size down a cup size, as it ... seemed the unlined one ran larger.

I ordered this on 6/20, it shipped last week, and it arrived today - so about a month from ordering to receiving. As far as alterations go, I asked for the straps to be moved in, as well as the gore narrowed. I'm assuming the straps were moved; the gore is definitely much narrower.

The fit on it is pretty great. The band is quite tight, so going with an 85 was actually the right choice this time - I measured it at about 36.5" stretched. The cups have a lot of immediate depth, which is something I need in a bra - the wires sit happily in my IMF and don't want to go anywhere. The wires are *very* narrow - at 6" they are the narrowest of any bra I own, and I think they are right at the limit of how narrow of a wire I can comfortably wear. The shape I get is not *quite* as uplifted as I get from my Sonia, but it's close - I'm actually surprised at how supportive the bra is, considering it's a single layer of mesh lace. Of course, I also haven't played around with adjusting the straps much yet, so I'm sure that I can get a bit more lift if I adjust those.

Going down a cup in size was the right choice, as it does indeed run larger in the cup than Sonia does, however it's not quite a full cup size larger; I get just the teensiest bit of almost-quad on my larger side. Still, not enough to really effect the fit or be noticeable, and definitely not enough to size up. Getting the gore narrowed was definitely the right choice as well - it tacks perfectly this time. The wings measure as being tall, but as was the case with Sonia, they're actually quite low under the sides - I think the fact that the wires are so narrow makes wing measurements kind of inaccurate since it's meant to be where the side meets the cup.

The bra itself is beautiful. It's this really pretty sheer lace mesh, with hot pink bows on the gore. Black and hot pink is one of my favorite color combinations, so I'm very pleased with how it looks. The lace itself has a really interesting design on it - it isn't floral like most laces are, but instead this abstract squiggle design. It's neat, but I think I would have preferred a more typical floral lace. The sides of the bra are just plain black - I kind of wish the lace had been overlaid onto the wings and band. The tops of the cups are also edged with a pretty trim that I like.

Overall, this bra was a great experiment, and will be a good replacement for my Envy, at half the cost. I'm really happy with the appearance and fit, and I'll definitely be getting more unlined 3HCs.

It does look like a good fit. I have this bra, but on me the cups are way too tall - which makes me wonder if it would have fit me better a cup size down? I dont have particularly short roots.

    • Thank you! This looks beautiful and an unlined I'll add to my "want" list.

this is on my want list when my my other black lace bras dies .. you can only have so many black lace bras .

      looks beautiful
      on you .

It's so encouraging to see someone get such a good fit when you can't try it on first. Enjoy your new bra - it looks great on you!

    • Never too many lacy bras!

I generally do a ton of research before buying a bra - which is difficult because there's so little info in my size range. But it means I'm generally able to get a pretty good fit out of it!

    • Ohhh, this just looks gorgeous on you! It makes me nervous to custom order a bra I can't return and then to wait a month for it, but I'm glad this worked out so well for you! I'm sure it isn't totally perfect, but it sure looks like it in photos!

Honestly I have to say this is probably the absolute best fit I've gotten in a bra - it's better than my Etta, better than my Envy, better than my Sonia, and better than my CHP Lawenda. I wore it all day yesterday and it was just so comfortable, and it stayed in place all day, which is really impressive - I need so much immediate depth that usually even my bras that seem really deep at the wire start sliding around. But it did not budget at all.

    • Bette than your CKs? Oh dear. Want!!

    Fits

Finally!! A perfectly (well... the strap position is a little bit wide and the band big though, at least the cups are) fitting comexim bra!!!!!!

I asked the deeper cups for both Elena and Rose but only this has been done. So, this is combination of 85J and 85K. The wires are the most narrowest among all of my other comexim bras and the cups are as deep as others in size of 75M/80L/85K. I wish I asked the moved in straps only.

One thing I don't like is the band size inconsistency. I have an Elena 2hc in size 85K and it stretches out to about 36"because of the double layered mesh used on the bands. This elena 3hc in size '85'J does to almost 40" and the bands are made of one layered mesh. So I need to alter the bands now. Sigh. Anyway, at least the cups fit.

And I like the fabric and details. It still looks solid and well matched with my skin tone.

    • If you get a smaller band you won't need to move the straps in because they will be narrower set. At least that's what I've found in my Comexims/Wellfitting bras.

    • Wonderful!! Finally!!

cupandahalf That could be. So I am thinking to alter the bands near the hooks not the armfit by using a 5 hook-extender(cutting and replacing), hoping it will work. Btw the strap set is not too wide to wear, similar to Panache bra's. If the altering doesn't work, I can be still bear it. Thanks :)

@Love4pollinators Thanks! Finally! It will be easier for me to order next comexims lol.

    • I've done that too with my Comexims! Happy altering!

  3. Basic Plunge Bra (170)

I am SO happy to finally have found a Comexim size that works for me. Trial and Error through Wellfitting is definitely the way to go. It took a few months but I finally found an amazing fit. This one still seems a bit shallow but totally wearable and comfortable. I had to have the cups reduced and the straps pulled in though because the cups were just way too high and the straps were trying to saw my arms off on the regular 38J. I was so thrilled that I've already put an order in directly to Comexim for the Ingrid (hoping for similar success!). The band ... seems a bit stretchy compared to the last Basic I tried in a 85 but it also be from me losing a bit of weight, it still fits more than OK though. The one problem is it seems all bras rest on my ribcage in a terrible spot and by the end of the day sitting certain ways get achey. I just keep trying to bend the wires a bit outwards to accommodate.

  4. Basic Plunge Bra (170)

    Didn't fit

I am short rooted, pendulous, and soft tissue with a ton of tissue near the gore. Plunges really are not my best friend as I spill over them, and I definitely have in this bra. This is definitely a cleavage bra on me as my girls are kissing when I wear it. The cups are a touch tall for my short root, as I could easily have an inch of empty space where the cup and the strap meet. This is a tight band, and only measures to 36 when it is supposed to be for a 38, so size up in the band. I think the cup ... is about a half size too small, in comparison to say a Ewa Michalak GG.

I find the wires fairly comfy, not as hard as Panache's and nice and narrow. I don't have wire poking me in the armpit. Material is soft and not scratchy at all on me. Seams are there, but not that noticeable under a jersey tank top. Straps are able to be fully extended, with metal stays, and a good length. Not too long, but not too short either.

The band is firm, and as I said, I would size up from your UK band.

The cups have a decent amount of projection near the gore, I just need a bit more for the gore to be able to tack on me. I wish the cups allowed for a little more side roundness near the sides of the cup, as the cup is squashing my tissue flatter and towards the center, but I might be just a touch omega. It'll be good for people who just go straight out from the root.
