I have never heard of this brand, and got this 32F Creme Bralee bra NWT on another site for cheap. I had just sworn off of my usual padded bras (no regrets) when the opportunity presented itself to get a bra within the range of sizes calculated by online calculators. By now I know a 32 band is too big (I feel a 30 band would have fit me better) but at the time I was still trying to wrap my head around the possibilty that my 34 and 36 bra bands were way too big for me, so I went with the largest band size the calculators ...had recomded, a 32. I ordered this online, put it aside and just now after a couple of months found it to take a closer look and try this bra on. At a glance the bra was kind of pretty, not too plain. The color is like a slate grey with lace, which doesnt match too many panties I wasnt too upset. The little jewl on the center gore looked like a pretty little detail, but up close, its kind of reminds me of a childs clip on earing. It is a cheap plastic "diamond drop" shaped plastic gem, that is very lightweight, a little bigger than it probably needed to be and its base color seems like this really weird swampy green/yellow, with some purples in it. I don't even think a childs clip on earing would ever be made such a weird color. I kind of prefer something other than a big honkin bow thrown on a bra, and while I can't speak for anyone else but i thought that little gem was unnessary and unslightly. The gore isnt super wide but a little tall. It wasnt great for my center full chest. The gore kept moving side to side, as if each wires didnt line up or one had a crack that i couldnt find at the wire end but mine just may be broken or wonky and this may not have been other bras of this style. The straps were not too far apart. I appriciated that being petite with narrow shoulders. The cups were a little tall for my preference but wearable. The wires and cups were too wide and I need the cups to be more narrow. It caused my breasts to kind of retreat towards my armpits a bit, rather than lifted and projected forward. The cup was too big on my smaller breast, with some empty space noticable at the bottom. i did wear this bra for a few hours with no major discomforts. The band fit more snug than other 30 bands and it looked okay on me but I certainly didnt feel like a goddess. Its an okay Bra i lost weight and now know I need a bra band that is a 28 to 30 max to get full support. The cups are a little tall on my petite frame but not too bad, its kind of just the style. The gore feels was a little off within the channels and on my body. This seemed like a style mismatch but I appriciate that it wasn't too uncomfortable. I think it would better suit someone with different breasts than I have, and those individuals may likely look past the gawdy gemstone piece thrown on top. The bra is fine but i am still looking for an aweaome bra that fits. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 479 more words
Finally got in the next size up for the Amanda Clamshell Bra and it fits great! The 32DD was just a little small in the cups, the band felt extra snug and the straps barely adjusted long enough for me. The 32DDD cups fit great, wires were wide enough for my wide roots, and it was very comfortable. The band didn't feel too snug and the straps had more length in the next size up. I fill out the top of the cup if I swoop and scoop and the top edge lays very nicely along my upper contour, but this bra probably won't ...work for someone who is very shallow on top as it seems to be molded for some upper projection. The top edge of the cup is at an angle that doesn't cut off my tall roots.
Really, really love this bra. My sad, washed out picture doesn't do the hot pink color any justice. This thing is BRIGHT. I feel very va-va-voom wearing it. It looks great under shirts, the seams on the front fabric don't show through. I wore this bra all day right out of the package and it was totally comfortable. Keeper Read more 102 more words
I normally don’t go for front-close bras or plunge bras. Or molded cups! But I took a chance on this one, and it’s a decent fit.
The cups are a little bit farther apart than what I really need, but it works. I think if the gore were just a little more narrow, or the cup were just a little bigger (more room toward the center), it would be perfect. If you have a narrow shape and are looking for a front close/plunge style, this is a good option. (You May want to size up one size in the cup, or just occasionally re-scoop and re-swoop in the ladies’ room.)
I love the design of the criss-cross racerback straps. It’s perfect for sleeveless tops that are too narrow for regular bra straps. They’d be cute to show off as well.
I picked this one up thinking the tiny tiny gore would be a good thing. Alas, it basically dug into my skin though so it was highly uncomfortable/painful. The band also seemed very tight; I ended up trying an extender which helped somewhat, but not with the digging gore issue so it had to go back. Fit-wise, this seems to be better suited to a shallower shape-- pretty wide wires, and I was having it quad a bit on the top if I properly scooped into it.
It's been a while since I tried out some new bras; I still have yet to actually find any that I can wear for more than a couple hours besides the 34G - Natori » Hidden Glamour Full Fit Contour Bra (736044) , though, and I desperately need some new bras. This was one of the ones I tried.
And it's a lovely bra, very much my aesthetic; I love the bright blue and black lace. But the size just does not work for me. The band is super stretchy which is very comfortable, but it's borderline absurd, going from 30in unstretched to over ...40 stretched for a 36 band. Considering I'd sized up a band to try this cup (I'm *technically* supposed to be a 34 band but I usually find 36 more comfortable so I tend to try both when trying a new brand), it was far too big. Even on the tightest hook it still felt pretty loose, I'd have a month or two of wear before it was simply too big, period.
There's light padding which minimized some other fit issues I'm having. I'm getting my usual gaping while leaning forward and slight quadding if I reach back, though if that were the only issue I would keep this bra-- neither issue was significant enough to look very weird under my clothes. I'm pretty sure this cup is actually too shallow and/or small? When I do a swoop and scoop, I get significantly more quadding, though due to the bigness of the band it pretty quickly resumes the initial fit look. I'm also finding it starts digging into my stomach uncomfortably while seated, though that may be because it's too loose but also stiff because of the padding.
I may try the 34G in this line just to see, though I tried the 34G - Crème Bralée » Kat Bra (12678) and that one's band was super tight and combined with my suspicion that I may need is a 34H in this model or it's simply too shallow a fit in general to work with my shape, I may just be out of luck with this brand. We'll see how I feel after I try a couple of the other bras on the way. Read more 281 more words
Big disappointment for this bra. I tried the 32DDD and the cup felt a little too small and the shape was odd, so I was hoping that the next size up would solve the problem. Nope. The cups on the 32G are laughably huge on me. I had it on for all of 5 seconds and immediately took it off, it was so ridiculously big on me. It's also obvious that the molded cups of this style are intended for someone with more upper projection than I've got. Oh well, it was worth a shot, since the Amanda Clamshell version fit me so well in the 32DDD, I had hope. This one is just a shape mismatch, regardless of the size. I was surprised by the big jump in cup size, though. I took pictures for the comparison between the 32G and the 32DDD so it's obvious how much bigger the cup is on the 32G. It looks almost a cup and a half size bigger.
Love the color of this bra, it's so vibrant! The cups on this bra feel just slightly too small for me (I expected this since I usually am a size 32DDD). The underwires are either not quite wide enough or are at too steep an angle for the outside of my root. Not a really bad fit, certainly wearable. I'd like the cup to come up a little higher on both the inside edge and outside edge of the cup also, it feels a little low on both sides. I've ordered a size up in this bra (32DDD) to see if I can ...get a little better fit, but I will be keeping this one if the next size up doesn't work.
This is not a seamed bra despite the fabric seams on the outside of the cup. The inside is a standard molded cup and the padding/lining is not very thick. The band felt a little too firm for me, but that might be because the cups are just a little bit too small. This bra is fairly comfortable and reasonably well made for it's price point. The clamshell design is so flattering, I have to admit I feel like a bombshell in this thing. Straps are only half way adjustable and I had to wear them almost completely on the loosest setting even though I'm high busted. All in all, I love the look of this bra and hope the next size up will be my perfect fit. Read more 152 more words
This lovely bra is too small for me in the cups. I usually wear a 32DDD but this cup is just too small on the side (underwires are not wide enough, cup doesn't come up high enough on outside). It also cuts into my breast tissue on the inside top edge, I get quadboob, and my breasts feel very cramped in these cups. The band is very firm and feels too tight for me. Not sure if the band runs firm in this brand or if it's just because the cup is too small. The cup is molded and not overly thick. ...The straps only adjust half way on this and I had to put them so they were almost on the loosest setting even though I rarely have to lengthen most bra straps even half way (my breasts sit high on my chest).
I've ordered the next size up (US32G/UKF) so I'm hoping it will work for me, but this size is being returned. Love the hot pink/black colorway on this bra. It's even brighter IRL than in the pictures. Read more 80 more words
Gorgeous, as all Creme Bralee bras seem to be, but too small for my cup size. American Gs usually are, sadly.
This bra runs slightly larger than the otherwise-similarly cut 32G - Creme Bralee » Bettina (12313X) -- I had no problems getting the band shut completely, and it was quite comfortable, despite being obviously too small on me. (Some definite quad-boob.)
I'm going to try out the Curvy Kate showgirl collection line next, because I'm obviously hankering for something in this style.
I wouldn't say this necessarily runs small -- I think it probably runs about average for an American bra company's 32G -- but it IS the first time I've ever been unable to close a band completely, purely due to too-small cups. (Seriously, the band is slightly larger than the Amanda Clamshell, but the cups are also slightly smaller, and the slightly smaller cups made all the difference.)
Creme Bralee seems to make gorgeous lingerie, and at very affordable prices. (DDD and G cups have a $2 premium attached, but since the base cost is $30-$36USD, that hardly bothered me.) I really wish I wasn't sized out of their range!
Hopefully my adding these bras will help someone else. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I just ran across this brand for the first time searching for US 40J cups online, so they have expanded their cup sizes considerably. At that price I would like to give them a try. Thanks for your review.
