The calculator tells me I should try a 42DDD/E, but this...this is not it. The band feels appropriately snug when fully hooked, but it's extremely stretchy, to the point I feel like I need to put it on the very last set of hooks to get a tight enough fit. Either I'm not actually this size, or the bra cut is all wrong. The cups are way too small, and there's really no support at all for large, heavy breasts. The center gore is nowhere near my chest wall. The front of the cups wrinkle. If you have wide-set, pendulous breasts, you might not like this one. There's ...no padding or shaping help, so it just fit me poorly in every way that matters.
That said, the material itself is nice and feels like microfiber. The color ("Moody Mauve") is very pretty; it's a nice medium purple shade. I like that it has four hooks. The straps are nice and wide. They aren't padded at all, but they're still comfortable. The little criss-cross design right under the center gore is a cool little touch to add interest to the bra. I really love this bra, it was the first underwire that I have found comfortable in years after 2 pregnancies and breastfeeding. It is unfortunate that I have lost weight and it no longer fits well, because I could wear this bra for hours with no issues.
What an incredible bra. I found these (used) a couple of weeks ago. I assumed they were both the same brand, but in taking photographs, learned they are not (the gray one is a Curvation; the black one is a Lily of France). They are identical in measurements and construction, so must have been made by the same manufacturer and sold to the different brand companies.
This is an underwire sports bra, but it is a compression bra as well. The underwires are independent and on the outside of the compression material, so they allow each of my breasts to fit independently into ...the compression material (my right breast is 1/2 size smaller than my left). This gives my breasts the support of the compression material while supporting them from below with the underwires.
This is one of the most comfortable, best fitting bras I have ever tried. The only problem I see with the independent underwire design is the material surrounding the underwire seems to wear more quickly because the underwire rubs against it more that it would in a conventional design, especially on the bottom of the underwire pocket where the compression material covering the prior owner's breasts rubbed against the pocket in this area.
With this design, the gore always tacks perfectly because it allows the compression material to move independently in and out of the interior of the underwire to fit each of my breasts. Read more 140 more words
This is my favorite bra! It is so comfortable. I drastically altered the band to fit (It was regularly a 44D but now the band unstretched is 29.5 inches). It is so stretchy, I have to alter the band every other month to keep it under 30 inches, but it was under $10 to begin with, and IMO worth modifying. As long as I keep the band tight, I have no spillage under or over the cups.
This bra is very light and comfortable. No poking, and it hasn't stretched much over time. It is pretty with some blue lace, and is made of a light nylon that is supportive, but with enough stretch to mold itself to your breasts. If only I didn't have my usual wrinkling problem! I would not recommend this bra to anyone with heavy or pendulous breasts. I am sure the comfort would be there, but not the support.
The bra is very supportive and confortable. Looks smooth under clothes, and the grey version I have works as a nude bra. I use it as an everyday bra despite being called Sports Bra. The only bad thing I have to say is that it gets "softer" during the day, therefore less supportive, but nothing really noticeable. It might be because I have to bend over a lot to pick up things. I experience this with other bras too. It does fit me, and being a large woman (band size), that's not easy.
The cup depth is 10.6 inches using the knee technique. Seems like a shallow cup, which is good for me.
Fits well in the cup, band's too big on me. Not my favorite style. There are little lacy details at the top edge. It's comfortable on me. The cup material is stretchy. I don't wear it anymore.
