    30H

    Didn't fit

My acquisition of this bra was definitely the result of some advanced bra finagling!

The first thing to know about the Curvy Kate Daily Dream is that it doesn't work well on full on top shapes. I tried this bra in a 30G initially, and my boobs were /spilling/ out the top. This has to do with shape and with size, I believe, as I would say that the Daily Dream runs a bit small in the cup. I really liked the bra, though, so I had to make the decision of whether I wanted to try a 30GG or 30H next, and my intuition said 30H, so ... that's what I tried.

I'll be honest: volume wise, the 30H is a bit too big for me. But, with it being just a bit too big for me and with my incompatible shape, I made it work. So, yes I have a bit of quadding in this bra, and yes I don't quite fill up the bottom of the cups or the sides of the cups for more than just shape reasons, I think, but the bra still fits me well enough that I'm going to keep it!

Anyway, aside from my trying to fit a round boob into a slightly differently round bra issues, I really like this bra! The material is super comfortable from the cups to the band to the straps. The bra is pretty nicely round; though, personally, I might like it to be a bit rounder.

Something about the band length does feel a bit odd to me. I stretched it to 29 inches, but it still feels a little loose on me. It's not loose enough to warrant me moving on to the middle hook, though. I also think the band on this bra is kind of tall, but keep in mind that I'm 5'2 with a short torso for my height. The wires at the sides don't bother me, though.

Thanks for your review! I had the opposite problem of not filling out the top but being snug in the bottom of the cup. Apparently they made this bra for perfect center fullness!

    • Va va voom! That looks lovely! I can't even tell it required finagling!

    • 2

I'm all about the finagling, it's the only way anything molded or padded is ever gonna fit me to be honest--there is no way for me to fill the bottom or sides perfectly in most cases.

About this one--and don't laugh as I suggest even MORE finagling--I often have that strange sensation with the band when the straps are bearing more weight than they should. I wonder if you loosened the straps a good bit, and then lowered the band at the back to a horizontal position and tightened it by one row, if that might help with (a) feeling more secure wrt band support and (b) easing more of the boob mass into the cups. Then if straps feel TOO loose after all that even once you get the band lower and tighter, refinagle if needed by tightening them back up just a tiny tiny bit. I sometimes have to go through this process a few times to get everything finagled exactly right!

    • 1

wendybien Gave what you said a try! I do sometimes tend to suffer from loosening-straps-a-phobia because of how short I am (I have exactly one bra that's straps don't adjust all the way, and I struggle with it every time I wear it). I also loved your usage of finagling, haha!

My bigger boob is still not entirely thrilled by the top of its cup (and neither is my smaller side if I move my arm like how I do for side shot pictures), but my breasts do look more contained. The only odd thing is that there's a lot more space at the bottom of the cups and the gore is pulling away a tiny bit more. Oh, the joys of having very soft tissue breasts that seem to flow wherever they'd like. Thanks for the advice!

    • 2

You're welcome bustyand ! I am smaller now thanks to age, babies and life stress (white hair, less boob volume, and wisdom, woohoo...) but for a good portion of my 30s was roughly the same size as you also with a very short torso. My advice with straps on a molded/contour/padded bra is absolutely look for every way to minimize the pull on them, even if it means a TON of fiddling and finagling back and forth to get each bra just right. The difference in fit and comfort is really significant especially if you wear the same bra often. Being projected in shape also makes a big difference-- I have noticed that if I go to a store with fittings, almost all the assistants, even the ones who fit you very competently, tend to overtighten straps on me because they don't expect me to need that little bit more ease, but I do, even now at a much-smaller boob size.

This bra is AMAZING! I wear Ewa Michalak exclusively, so you can imagine my requirements to be happy: narrow wires, projection, rounded shape, lots of uplift, and boobs up front, not east/west. This bra ticks all of my boxes, and YES, it's Curvy Kate! I purchased this bra used from someone else, and I immediately ordered 2 more from Belle Lingerie right after I tried it. It's that good. I think the Daily Dream will now be my everyday/work bra. I wear scrubs to work, and I notice with this bra my boobs fit in my scrubs a tiny bit better than with my Ewa Michalak S bras. This shade of beige is also the *perfect* nude for me. Most beiges are too yellow against my skin, and this one is more cool-toned. For reference, I currently wear 70J/JJ in Ewa Michalak.

It sounds like DD can be my dream bra too! Thank you for the review!! Btw, do you think the fit is similar to EM S style or PL? I saw the measurement and it looks like more Pl because of the relatively short gore. Am I thinking right?

    • Hmm, it's a little bit different than either of them. The gore is a little short, but I don't get cleavage in this bra like I do the PL. I can't explain why; it's just constructed a little different! I don't like feeling of my boobs touching together while working, which is why the S bra was my go-to. I usually save PLs for going out/date night. My boobs feel separated in the Daily Dream, not squished together for cleavage.

Daily Dream is very comfy with a nice shape, though. I can't wait to get my other 2 in.

    28JJ

    Didn't fit

I picked this up as it was one of the only other 28JJs I could find on Amazon. This bra is kind of average to me. The wires are super wide, they are almost on my back. The top seems suited for short rooted/sloping shapes, as I only have a slight gap at the top of the cup on both sides. At the bottom of the cup I get a flattening effect above the underwire, I am guessing because it is too shallow? This bra gives me a half sphere look and I really don’t like how it looks under a shirt. For those with smaller breasts that have short roots, this bra would make a very nice t-shirt bra.

    • Thanks for the review! I had a similar experience with the fit of this bra. I thought maybe it was a size issue but maybe not.

    • I think it is a scaling issue. If I hook the bra together and set it down, it curls up like a capital D on its side. The wires should not be this wide.

    • Yes, that makes perfect sense. I had considered trying different sizes to find a better fit, but I think you're right that it's because of the wide wires.

    32H

    Didn't fit

I have this in both the biscotti (beige) and black colorway. I've decided to only keep the beige one.

To start, I have never tried the Curvy Kate Daily Boost (CK1801) , so I can't make comparisons to that model unfortunately.

The first noticeable thing is the band is quite tight; definitely requires an extender for me (currently between 32 and 34 band size). The cup is TTS, if not a touch small. If I had any more volume, I'd definitely be quadding. The top is not stretchy at all, but still accommodating to FoT breasts. I generally get at least some amount of cut-in with all ... UK bras, and don't at all with this. The material is really soft, matte microfiber. The band has some nice detailing that keep the bra from being too boring.

I wasn't crazy about the shape without a shirt on; however, once I tried a shirt on over top it, I really get the whole 'upfront technology' CK is touting in their recent models. The shape is very round and all kinds of uplifted! The wires are a bit wide for me, and I do get some wrinkling by the wire, but it's barely noticeable in my larger breast, and it's not at all noticeable under clothes.

Ultimately, I decided to only keep the beige color, as my lingerie drawer runneth over at the moment and I only have one other 'nude' bra in my current rotation.

Notable difference between the beige and black colorway:

    - the band on the black is smaller
    - the wires on the beige are a touch wider
    - the cups are a bit smaller on the black
    - the materials, especially around the wires and band, feel smoother and less irritating on the beige compared to the black

    • I am seriously in need of beige myself but I was thinking about getting another Comexim Basic or 2. Value and looks per dollar, how do you feel they compare?

    • 2

While the Basic fits better in terms of size and shape, I'm glad to have both. Basic, on me, is provides a more perfectly round and a bit compact shape; however, Daily Dream has softer and smoother materials and provides more of a boost and lift to the girls. If you want 2, I'd say get one of each. Basic's shape is more subdued, and Daily Dream will put the boobs out there. Other than that, they're comparable for value. Aesthetically, bra alone, Basic is better. Daily Dream is not a seduction bra by any means.

      I hope that helps????

    • 1

Both! Now, why didn't I think of that?!

    • is it seamless?

Well, this is labeled a 28 and obviously CK doesn't sell 26s (and not that many 28s either), but it measures to a pretty TTS 26. I'm not sure if it's the same in all colors or just this funky neon green, but this bra might be a great find for someone who really needs 26s but doesn't want the expense of going Polish or custom. It's actually VERY tight on me and I'm not sure if I'll keep it, but if it stretches out it'll probably be fine. It also definitely runs a full cup size small.

My review of my previous attempt at this bra (in 28FF) ... talks about the design a lot, but again: I love the detail of part of the band being mesh and the button on the gore also having little polka dots. This green isn't as neon as it could be since it's kind of pastel, but it certainly is bright and will show under shirts. I really enjoy the wider straps, which are very comfy. The cups are very closed on top -- I have even vertical fullness and the cup cut into my larger side just a little, so I'd stay away if you're FOT.

If the band wasn't so tight, I think I'd really love this bra. It's fun with unique details and gives a lifted appearance. Tricky sizing though!

Quick little Bravissimo order because it was on sale for $19, and matching quick little review because it’s 2am. Wow, is this band tight. The tightness comes not as much from the actual length of the band as the fact that it barely stretches three and a half inches before the wires begin to distort, and the band length is only originally like 21.9in (can’t remember exactly), so this is for sure effectively a 26 band and might even be able to suit a 24. Though I’m a 26 band, I wouldn’t have been able to breathe with this bra fastened without the extender I put on it ... to try it on.

Other than the ultra tiny band, this is too small in the cup. This bra actually does a great job of illustrating something I didn’t realize for awhile, which is that a too-small cup can make it SEEM like the gore is too wide for your breasts, when in fact the gore just has no room because there’s too much boob there. This makes a lot of sense to me now because I’m so not close-set as to be almost splayed, but I totally didn’t understand this concept at the beginning of my bra journey when most of the bras I was trying on were small in the cup and I just chalked the gore pressing on my tissue up to it being too wide.

I got the green/white color (Pear something...?) and it’s adorable! I really love the tiny button on the top of the gore and the fact that it itself has polka dots too. The straps measure to just over 0.6 inches in width, but they look wider to me and I think they probably provide a little more support than if they were slimmer. But maybe take that assertion with a grain of salt because I have an actual skin irritation on my shoulder which is partly the fault of my Ewa Michalak M Perłowy, so I have a temporary vendetta against thin straps. This bra may not be the sexiest, but it’s very cutesy and I think it’s really fun. I’ll check if 28G is in stock and then get an exchange as soon as I take pics tomorrow (...today?).

Also, a too tight band can make the cups fit/feel smaller as the cups sort of become a bit of the band and less space for the actual boobs.

    • 3

Calluna very true! From everyone's photos it also looks like this particular bra, below the G-cup cutoff, has a cup design that curves back in towards the body at an unusually closed angle, almost like some of the old Cleos notorious for this short-boob-friendly shape. At G and above the design seems to have been graded a little more generously in this regard but they still use a very very flat (or perhaps simply rigid) upper cup section so anyone whose boob shape cannot conform to that upper cup edge and shape will get really major quadding.
biflexual you're light-years ahead of most people for figuring out the issue of insufficient cup depth (or space allowed by the cup edge) masquerading as a too-wide gore. So many people spend YEARS without realizing this and thus waste a ton of money and effort due to mistakenly thinking they need overlapped gores or ultra-low-gore bras (super plunge styles with an itsy bitsy gore inherently lack the stability that will ensure a comfier fit if a person is heavy-busted, very projected or very center-full).

Where have you been all my life, darling? This bra is my new favourite and I'm never taking it off, for real. It's more comfortable than anything I ever had. The shape under clothing is the best: gathered forward, projected, lifted to the moon, with a defined peak, not too round (which I love). The cups fit me like a dream, but you might need to size up like I did as they come a tad small. For reference my breasts are FOB, short roots, average width roots (not too narrow or wide), projected, tons of center fullness.
Cons: the gore is too high/wide which means it sits ... on my breast tissue, but this bra is so soft that I don't mind. Straps are too far in my armpits even though I have broad shoulders and never had this problem with any other bra. Once again, this bra is amazing so I forgive.
It's the first bra that doesn't give me cleavage, something that is almost inevitable with so much center fullness; the separation is so refreshing!
The Indigo colourway is so much better in person than it is in the pictures: the perfect mixture of casual minimalism and the right dose of spice. I already ordered the Apple colourway too, and can't wait for CK to release more and more versions of this fantastic gem.

Edit: the Apple colourway arrived, the band is quite a bit tighter than the Indigo (which is great), but the cups are also smaller: I'm quadding out of the middle so much that it pushes the gore away from my sternum.

I'm searching for a decent fitting, inexpensive nude with great projection while I wait for a 65J Comexim Elena two seam half cup.

This bra has not only great lift, but also a surprising amount of immediate projection. Short-rooted twins rejoice: the cup will not swallow you or present an open field near the strap. If, however, you are full on top and/or have tall roots, I can nearly guarantee quad boob. Even my short-pair quads a bit.

The band is shorter than what I expected; stretching to 27". Great for those of us who need sub 28" bands.

The seams show. Full stop. I'm recovering from "seam aversion."

If you have both close-set and center-full breasts, this is an unlikely fit. The gore wires are simply too wide at the base. Nonetheless, it may be worth trying if you can easily return it.

FWIW, this isn't a true molded cup. It's a cut and sew foam cup, evidenced by the 3 part design and the seaming pattern. Truly molded cups are one piece foam cups (think VS, the Deco...) and aren't very projected because one piece of heat molded foam simply cannot do what a seamed pattern does for projection and uplift.

    • Good point. The foam is stiff like a molded. I will ammend my review. Thanks!

    • Love4Pollinators (and anyone else who might happen to read this), I was wondering if you could help me decide which size to order for this bra. It's on sale on Amazon for $20, but through an independent seller, so I won't be able to return it. I normally wear 28F but the cup depth seems to be small in this model, according to the measurements on Bratabase. There is only one entry for this size, though. I have a 9" breast perimeter, but my breasts are very soft and I usually do best with a cup depth of about 8.5ish. My measurements are 25" and 33/33.5/35". I wear 28F in Cleo and Panache (and sometimes 28E in unlined models), 60H and 60HH in Comexim and 60F and 60FF in Ewa M. Thank you!! :)

    • Just saw this comment. Hope you found a size that worked for you, Sonya

I should probably wear a 32JJ, but I ordered this size because it was dirt cheap on Amazon for some reason ($18 instead of $65 for the other sizes). I wanted to try out the new Curvy Kate fit, so this was a safe way to do it. I have to say I'm impressed! This is definitely the best-fitting Curvy Kate bra I've ever tried. No more upside down 7 or east/west boobs -- this bra has got some serious uplift, plus it brings the girls front-and-center. The shape is a nice, naturally rounded shape as well. The band is a smidge too tight (not the bra's fault ... - I normally wear a 32), the wires are a tad bit too wide, and the center gore does not lie flat (but I'm very close set, so that's not surprising). However, if I had this bra in my proper size, I'd probably still wear it regularly even though the wires and gore aren't perfect.

If you are a fan of Polish bras, I'd definitely recommend giving the new Curvy Kate a try! The fit isn't exactly the same, but it's close enough that I'd now consider it another option, especially if I needed a bra quickly from Amazon.
