I really like this bra, the lacy top section doesn't cut into tissue at all. I get some slight wrinkling in the lace but I think this looks worse than it is do the lace extending over the edge seam of the cup. Wires are very comfy and it gives a much more flattering shape thats fairly rounded and not very east/west compared to other non padded Curvy Kates https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

    Grape/black:
So far, this seems like a really comfortable everyday bra - I can see why everyone raves about the Emily. It's so soft and the shape is very natural. At the same time, it looks really lovely (especially with the matching shorts).

Update: Due to my measurements changing, my breasts fall towards the middle giving me quadboob while leaving empty space at the top of the cup. I determined part of the reason is that the band was too big for me. I have now sewn the central gore together which has fixed the problems by orienting the cups differently and making the band tighter. Not sure if it retains the same level of comfort as before.

I like this bra - as with most Curvy Kate bras, it fits my shape well, though I do have to go up a size. It provides good support and good shape. However, when I buy nude/beige bras I am usually intending to wear them under lighter coloured tops and I find that this bra doesn't suit that purpose because of the lace and stitch detailing, which can be seen through lighter clothing.

See my review other Emily reviews: 32FF - Curvy Kate » Emily (CK5001) 30GG - Curvy Kate » Emily (CK5001) . This review will deal with the differences between my 30G and 32FF.

The band is similar, I believe. Of course it stretches less and the 32FF.

The cups in this are just too shallow at the bottom for me. I can't fill them at all. This wasn't a concern with the 32FF so I guess there must be some differences between colours/seasons.

Straps and wires are similar to the 32FF. Wires are fairly narrow, comparable to unpadded Cleo bras in this size range.

However, the major quibble I have is that the cup kind of collapses on itself because I can't fill out the bottom, which leads to a weird upside down 7 type shape. I got the bra new, so hopefully it'll soften up with wash and wear. I'll update if this is the case.

UPDATE: I have since discovered that the Emily fits me best at size 28H. It's one of my all time favourite bras. I still find the band quite stretchy hence going down a size, but overall I have to go up a cup size in Curvy Kate.

I bought this bra in a 30G when it was on sale, which is my usual size in other brands. It gives good support and the band fits true to size. However, the embroidery on the cups does not sit flat against my breasts. With movement throughout the day, I start to spill out of the cups. However, there is a lot ... of wrinkling and gaps on the side, so it seems I'm not quite filling the cup. I tried the 30GG and was literally swimming in fabric everywhere. Going down in cup size would almost certainly cause quadraboob. I guess the style of the Emily doesn't work with the shape of my breasts. It might be a better fit for wide set breasts. The first time I put it on, it poked at my sternum constantly. When I wore it the second time it had already relaxed a bit and the poking was no longer an issue, so I'd say that the band stretches quite quickly. Overall, it's still a good supportive bra that I wear several times a week, just not under t-shirts.

I just can't do unpadded. It's really pretty, the only problem is really that it digs into my armpits. Not too badly, though. Size was pretty good. A bit big on me, but I kind of expected it to be.

I like that I finally found a bra that fits correctly. The material can be uncomfortable after awhile. The band stretches out a bit after wear. It's a good everyday bra and it's cute on.
