I sized up from my normal band (38) to 40 for comfort since this is sleepwear and other nighttime activites. The 40G fits fine as long as I put it on the tightest hook and cinch the straps all the way down. With the straps tightened all the way, I even get a little cleavage boost. Very comfortable and cute, do recommend. the "body" of the babydoll is a little slimmer than I expected but fits fine.
