    Hasn't set fit

My breasts are center-full, pendulous, FOB, and I have a lot of squish in my band measurement. My center-fullness is usually my dominant fit requirement. I suspect I have somewhat short roots, and narrow-to-average roots for my size. I also have narrow, somewhat sloped shoulders.

I hate this bra. It's an utterly pointless garment and I hate it. *deep breath* Okay, I'm done now.

I have other unlined bras. I have other bras with mesh. Thanks to a combination of the material, my heavy breasts, and CK's soft wires, I get absolutely no support from this bra. I'd be better off wearing a bralette - I HAVE bralettes that give ... me more support. The gore was probably always going to be too low for me, but I generally can't speak to how this bra might have fit because it just gives me no support.

The material of the bra is nice enough, but generally speaking it feels rather cheaply made. I purchased this bra brand new and it came with several loose threads and such.

CK has always used soft wires, but this season and with this bra in particular I feel like they have gotten even softer. Not sure how I feel about that.

    • So, I wont try that one then lol

    • Too bad it was so wrong for you. The style has nice clean lines and looks like a pretty bra, but looks aren't everything! I'll stay away too!

    • Yeah, I don't want to completely harsh on the bra. I think it would be really nice for someone with more self supporting or less heavy breasts. The thin material could be really nice in the summer when the last thing I want is yet another layer of clothing, lol.

    • By definition, 36J boobs are heavy and not self-supporting. If curvy kate cant support big boobs, they shouldnt make bras that big. I feel very strongly about this.

    • It's so weird because the one I got wasn't like this. My main gripes are the straps: much too wide set and stretchy. Straps that support 40DD can't support 40K. It's just physics.

    • Y'all's comments reminded that I own, and quite like, a Curvy Kate Sheer Joy . It's made of what feels like totally different material. Much sturdier.

I put up with Curvy Kate's crappy straps because of their short but not too narrow or wide wires - that said, if the wires keep getting softer, that's no good for me either. I've thought about replacing the straps with something more comfortable, but I can only hand-sew (and not very well) and I don't think that would be strong enough.

    • I admit I've only ever tried to CK, but they were both the old wide-and-shallow model. No, not true - there was one padded model I had for a while. It was ok. Not great.
