I lost track of my UK size because I almost exclusively wear Polish now, but I guess I'm a 28FF. I've seen a lot of reviews recommending to size up in this bra so I got a 28G. My shape is projected, full on top and centre, with tall and narrow roots, soft and self-supporting tissue, and super close-set.
A few years ago I tried this bra and it was too big in the band and too small in the cups, causing gaps and painful wires under the armpit. I just got a bunch of cute summer tops and dresses so I decided to try again, as it is ... known as the most narrow and projected strapless bra.
The band is tight, but not a full size tight, with elastic gel strips. The cups are indeed narrow and projected, but a little closed on top. I agree with the advice to go up a cup. It's almost a perfect fit on my right (smaller) side, but I have these lumps on my left (bigger) side at the bottom and quad boobs at the top. I'm afraid a 28GG would be too big though. The gore is too wide but I'm not sure if I can successfully do the overlapping alteration on a padded bra.

Gosh, I tried to get this one to work too, and tried my normal size and the sister size up. Both seemed fine in the cup shape and size, but the hard wires kept digging in at the gore and I couldn't tolerate the pain. Did you have any issues with painful wires digging in with the size you tried?
