This is my first bra that's anywhere near an appropriate size for me (used to wear 32A or 30B). Now I don't even know how I ever wore my old bras -- this one is so much more comfortable! With that being said, I have to wear it on the tightest hook, even though it's new; even then, it still feels like it doesn't stay in place (rides up slightly). However, I measure less than 26" underbust, so I think this would be perfect for someone who measures closer to a 28". I've read elsewhere that this model has a slightly bigger band than ...the other Curvy Kate bras, but I don't know that from experience. The cups create a pretty nice, rounded shape for my splayed breasts and seem best for those who are FOB. I would say the quality is great for the price I got it at and am hoping it doesn't stretch out too quickly. The racer-back feature is nice, for those who like having that option. The only thing I don't love about it is the mesh band in the back, just because it looks a bit tacky to me. One last note, I removed the bows and dangling rhinestone from the bra, which is why it looks a little different from the original. Read more 120 more words
Great to hear you're finding your size, bands vary in different brands so there are tighter ones out there.
Comexim makes smaller bands and it looks like they run on the small side, too. I haven't tried one of their bras yet but I covet the Comexim Laura (134) and its related models. Sigh.
From what I gather, several on here seem to think Cleo/Panache runs tight in the band. The Juna I tried I didn't find particularly tight, but I do find the cups to run smaller.
This was my first 28D bra after I got fitted! I was so excited and thought I'd buy this online as there was a sale.
I absolutely love the bright orange colour with the cute and sexy details to it! It fits me really well but will not fit someone who is top heavy. So shallow breasted ladies with a wide root/bottom heavy will probably find that this fits like a glove!
The only thing is that the bra is Abit stiff and the wires dig in a little..but then I'm quite bony so prolly not a problem if you have some padding..!
The bra definitely looks seemless and give a good shape under t shirts! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Update: I have worn this bra many times now and it is definitely comfortable. There are some slight gap underneath the right cup though as my tught Breast is smaller than the left. The wires no longer dig in and the bra comfortably holds up my girls https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />
I love this bra, BUT, it's impossible to wear. Similarly to a problem I had with the Curvy Kate Tease Me, the fit is great except for the fact that the underwires are VERY painful. It is killing me that I can't wear this beautiful, well-fitting bra because the underwires stab me so hard that I am left bruised for days if I try to wear it any longer than a couple of hours.
Bratabase will say that it fits, because it looks and feels like it, EXCEPT for the severely painful underwires.
I do not have this problem in any other bras (except the Tease Me, which I also had to return for this problem). I have the Cleo Lucy, which is also a balconette, and I cannot even FEEL the wires on that bra. Same size, same fit, same tightness, but somehow they managed to make the underwires NOT feel like death.
I just got this in 28E and I have to say I was thinking the same thing. When I held it up to my body right before fastening it I was thinking "oh god, the cups are so narrow," and I don't think it was actually that the cups were too narrow narrow, but I guess that I could feel how firm the wires were before I even fastened the bra! It fits me ok but I think I will try swapping out the underwires when I find some plunge wires lol. Crazy. I have never had wires that feel like this!

The fit is strange. It's quite tall for a 28D, almost fits like a 28DD with ridiculously short wires. Allows for projection quite well though. Would recommend sizing down from your regular size. Like a bralette with just underbreast support. Band is snug for 28. Would suit tall roots or center and upper fullness breasts. Which is something I notice with CK bras. It's a pretty bra. Overall, pretty good.
Edit- after wearing it around for a bit, despite the ridiculous style, pretty damn comfy! Like wearing a bralette.
I'm pleasantly surprised with this bra. It's very pretty, to begin with. Allows for projection, the wires were actually the narrowest I've seen with CK so far! Wires are fairly short though. I love the thicker, sturdy straps. I would recommend sizing down, this feels more like a 28DD. Doesn't feel flimsy, nothing itchy so far. Almost works for my conical breasts, there's the tiniest gap below the border so, it's still suited for full on top or taller roots like all the CK bras I've tried. I'm a 26E/F and the band wasn't too loose on me. All in all, I quite like it.
Yay! Another satisfied Arizona customer! I love this bra and I'm on the other side of the spectrum at 34HH. Hopefully CK will bring this bra back in future seasons.
Boob twin, stay far away from this bra! It's pretty but it won't fit!
Based on other peoples' measurements this bra, I figured this would not fit when I ordered it. I couldn't believe the cup depths I was seeing on the 28D. It was inexpensive and returnable so I decided I had to see it for myself. And yes, the cups are a full inch deeper than my breasts. I need 6-7" and this bra has 8". If you are used to Cleo bras, this one measures more like a 28E.
Other weirdness about this fit of this bra: the very top edge of the lace comes ...close to lying flat against me, but there is so much bagginess right below that. I imagine that this could cut into someone who fills it out, depending on shape.
Before Bratabase I would have been woefully confused about my measured size not fitting. Seeing measurements of a lot of different bras on here, there are plenty out there that I have a much better chance with!
I wish I had mad sewing skills and could alter this bra. It is soooooooo pretty. Back to Amazon with this one I'm afraid. Read more 89 more words
Insane indeed. I'm so sad because there are a lot of pretty non-foam/unpadded Curvy Kate bras but the cup depths run too large for me. It looks like their foam bras run a lot smaller in the 28D range but I dislike foam. :(
I really thought this bra fit until I saw the pics. There's a tiny bit unfilled/wrinkly bit at the top and cuts in a smidge. Drat. It fits like a dream otherwise. The band and straps are comfy. The wires are wide and high enough. And it's beautiful. I may wear it anyway and stitch the top up a cm or so.
Update: I narrowed the gore and it now fits. Apparently this tips the cups a tiny bit and made the whole thing work better.
This is the best fitting bra I have owned. I like the moulded cups a lot, and the colour is great.
That said, I don't quite fill out the top of the cups, as my breasts have quite a wide root and the underwire pokes into my breast tissue on the side a bit. The lace also makes it a bit difficult to wear under a t-shirt.
Update after a few months: After wearing better fitting bras, it is a bit comically small after swooping and scooping. I still don't quite fill the tops of the cups (bottom heavy here), but there is a bit of tissue escaping on the sides and if it were possible to have quad-boob while having wrinkling at the tops, that is what I would be having. This is weird. I'd consider going up to a DD, but then I'd have more gaping at the top!
I don't know what's going on with this bra. The gore is too wide for me, and I think the cup is too small. The top part of the lace always wants to flip down, but my nipples are barely in this bra at all. Despite what others have recommended for me, this is not a good fit.
The gore of this bra really hurts! It digs in very painfully. The ribbon trim at the top of the cup makes it so it cuts in there, but the sheer mesh section below it is not filled. I think the 28DD in this same bra has a much better fit, despite the same issue with the gore.
Very pretty bra, though. Just not the right size for me
This bra fit me the best out of all the Curvy Kate's I tried, but it's still a no go. Underwire goes too wide on the side, gaping on top of cup. I really wish Curvy Kate made 28C's!
It fits great on my left (larger) boob. If I were going to keep this bra I'd need a cutlet to fill the right cup. The band is acceptable, it doesn't ride up, but I prefer a slightly tighter band.
However, I can't wear this bra. The wires dig quite painfully into my sternum and underarms. The wire doesn't seem to come unusually high in either place. It just seems like it's maybe lacking padding and the wires are shaped oddly. I tried bending them outwards but it didn't fix the problem even though the wires are now ...noticeably bent. They still poke painfully.
The wires poking is so bad that even after just wearing it for less than half an hour to test the fit, move around, and take some pictures, 12 hours later my sternum has a sore spot and my underarms are tender.
I am really sad that I can't wear it. It's so pretty and otherwise fits pretty well. But the pain makes it completely unwearable. If anyone knows how I can fix that, I'd appreciate if you dropped me a note. Remember I already tried bending so I'm not sure I can do much more. Read more 109 more words
This bra is just way too big for me in the cup. I have a 26" snug underbust, 30" standing bust, lying bust of 30.5", and leaning bust of 31.25" and ABTF says I'm a 26DD or 28D. There is so much extra material at the top. It fits nicely around the bottom of my boobs. I just don't think brands like Curvy Kate and Freya are meant for my petite frame and shallow, wide breasts. I'll stick with The Little Bra Company and similarly sized and designed brands.
Runs one cup size too large. Good for FoB breasts, with great immediate projection at the wire. I don't like the embroidered lattice pattern on the cups--they are more visible under clothes than most other embroidery. The ribbons also never lay flat. Anyway, because I got it on Amazon for $10 and it fits me well, I feel that I cannot really complain about it.
you're right about the pointedness. I used to own this bra and I disliked how it was made for people with an extreme conical shape, that is to say, short roots, shallow on all edges of their breasts, but with a good amount of projection at the apex. I think I had "orange in a cone".
I'm really glad I saw your review; they were on sale at Amazon and I was thinking about buying one. Thanks!
This bra is totally gorgeous, I love the seamed cups and lace. I also love that the wires are pretty wide, which is great for my shallow/wide rooted chest. It's mostly comfortable, but the underwires hurt when I first put on the bra because I'm pretty boney.
The only fit problem I have is that I don't have enough inner fullness to totally fill the cup, so I have little gaps just on the inner cups at the center of the bra. I can put a pack of smarties in each cup haha. Other than that, it fits me well.
Edited to add: After wearing this bra for a long day, the underwires were really painful by the gore and I had super painful redness and slight bruising from this bra. It could be attributed to the fact that I am really boney and have no cushion on that part of my ribcage, but I'm not sure.
