I'm soft, short rooted, center full, pendulous, projected, and narrowish.
This is a padded/lined half cup bra. I love the black pinstriping fabric overlay on top of the red padding. The lace on the top of the cups sticks up a bit, and it matches the lace on the bottom of the gore and where the hooks meet the eyes.
The straps are a touch wide set, and rub against my tail of spence on both sides. They're a simple black strap that fully adjust. I think the straps are a touch short, so that's something to look out for.
The red bow on the gore has ...a cute clear stone charm on it. Gore doesn't tack by about 2 fingers on me, but that's pretty par for the course. I've only been able to get Panache and Ewa Michalak to get close. I do love the black on black pinstriping on the gore, and at the top the wires are right next to each other.
The wires in the cups themselves are slightly thinner than other wires I have come across, and the cup feels narrow for a 36H. Not as stiff as Panache wires, not as soft as Freya's.
The cup is a touch tall on me with a little bit of empty space where the cup meets the strap, but not a dealbreaker. Someone with a more average root would be fine in this bra. Bottom of the cup is shallow, and I think if I wore it longer than trying it on, I would fold the bottom over the wire. This is not as shallow as Freya's half cups. Seams are very visible through tight clothing. Internally the cup is a 3 part half cup design. I do get a nice rounded shape in this bra, rounded on the sides
I do think the bottom of the band is tighter than the top and it is snug on me, so maybe a touch of uneven tension in the band, it is an exact 36 stretched out. 3 rows of hooks as well. Read more 240 more words
Hi! I know you sort of touched on this in the review, but would you say this fits similarly to a 36H Panache? Is it true to size? Thanks :)
Which panache? It fits wide and shallowish, but is true to size. I was a bit short rooted for it, and had gaping along the top, which is why I returned it.
Panache Ariza or Floris...or Cleo Darcy/.Juna? Thanks :)
This bra is very cute. It is made of padded material and has two vertical seams. It is shallow but has enough immediate projection that I can get by. I have soft tissue and find better fits in bras more on the shallow side in my size range because of this. I need the compression in order to get the support I need. That said, I do need some immediate projection and this bra has almost enough.
While the bra doesn't quite follow my IMF (it is a good width, but just a bit too rounded on the bottom) it does sit closer than many other bras I've tried. ...It stays in place for the most part and I don't find I get any skin-on-skin contact nor folding at the bottom. The very underside of the wire (the most rounded part) is not filled out (in most all bras I try; I think my IMF is more flat at the bottom than almost all off-the-rack underwires) but it doesn't seem to compromise the fit in the way it does when combined with certain other fit issues like too-wide wires.
It is open enough on top for me (I am even fullness but have tall roots--although because I am a short person this means that functionally I have pretty average root height) but for anyone more full on top than me or who needs taller bras may find this either a) doesn't offer enough coverage (it is quite low cut--I would call it a half cup) or b) isn't quite open enough on top, as the very top edge does curve inward toward the chest somewhat.
This bra works very well under clothes and gives me a nice rounded shape. The seams do show through a tiny bit if your shirt is tight or very thin, but I don't find it noticeable most of the time. Read more 204 more words
I adore this bra. If the straps were a tad closer together it would be one of my all time favorites. It may not be great for larger cups, since the straps are so thin, but I think the band gives enough support I don’t usually have issues.
My breasts: projected (immediate projection), even, short roots, narrow/average roots, close set, some center fullness
This bra is a darker orange than the CK photo shows. I love it though. The colour is really nice and the green ribbons are just perfect match. I like the little dreamcatchers on the bra although I gotta admit the bra itself is quite simple. But it's the colour I love.
I had this same bra in 36G first (biscotti colourway) and it was too small for me. I don't own that bra anymore. However I did like how it feels so i wanted to try it on bigger size. I tried 36GG first ...but noticed it was too small and gave me an awful shape. So I figured I need one cup size bigger to fix the shape issue. I was kinda wrong.
This bra still gives me a strange shape. My boobs look really sad on this bra. I have heard some people talking about upside down seven, but I don't think this is the shape that means. There is no extra angle on the shape it's just.. pointing down. I don't like the shape but, not sure if it's THAT bad. Meaning I think I could wear the bra with certain clothes, ie. nothing too tight. (then again I never really wear anything really tight, so that's not an issue).
Otherwise the bra feels nice and comfortable. It is just the shape that is causing some headache, so to speak. So far no poking or itching or anything. Will update the review if such things will happen later. Read more 157 more words
My breasts: projected (immediate projection), even, short roots, narrow/average roots, close set, center fullness
I got these as a second hand. The bow in the middle is lost but otherwise the bra looks nice. The band is still rather firm as well.
I like how the bra feels. It's comfortable. It also looks really nice and there's no extra fabric anywhere. The top of the cup lies nicely againts my breast. There's little bit of extra fabric on the bottom of the cup, it's either because of I would need bit more immediate projection there or maybe it would be fixed with adjusting the straps properly.
I have wanting to ...try Portia for a while now as I like the look and the colour combinations. Especially the one on the SS17 collection! Now I will buy it for sure as I know the bra feels really nice!
The size is 36H which is one cup bigger than my usual 36GG so I assume that on Curvy Kate I just need one size bigger than usually. Good to know! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Curvy kate has usually given me a square shape so I gave up on them for awhile. Recently I've decided to give their plunges a try. I usually stay away from plunges because of spilling out the center but the center gore height on CK plunges didn't look super low. Turns out CK plunges give the nice round shape that I could never acquire in their balconettes. This bra in particular also is the least invasive on my armpit of all the CK's I've tried. Ideally I would like a 34HH but they didn't have it and it was such a good price. The ...top of the cup on the right does turn out a little but I could not see it under a shirt. Don't know if this will worsen in the future. I think this bra is a great alternative for those sized out of Deco. I'm still debating if I'm gonna keep it because I'd prefer a different size and I'm not a huge fan of red. But the price has me considering. I will be on the lookout for the black/champagne colorway when it comes out. Sidenote, I also have a Curvy Kate Dare in 36H which ended up running tight in the band so I kept it. Think that one definitely runs small and the Temptress is more true to size bandwise. The Dare was dirt cheap which is why I took the 36H gamble in the first place.
Update: I've decided to keep the bra. Can't find a 34HH anyway and the price is too good. I wore it a full day and it's very comfortable. There is some readjusting throughout the day but for a plunge it holds pretty good. And I never get quadding they just fall to the middle a bit, but I'm FOT so that's to be expected in a plunge. The band is a little large for me so that may be part of the problem too. I noticed the Arizona seems to be the same cut except a higher gore (ordered and en route) as well as the yet to be released daily dream. It seems with these new cuts CK has managed to get rid of the square shape that plaqued the Daily Boost. If CK hasn't worked for you in the past I would highly recommend trying their new redesigns. I'm glad I didn't give up on them. Update: I really, really love this bra. So much so that I finally tracked down a 34HH on Amazon UK (I'm in the US). And I even got the matching briefs which are lovely. I never buy matching briefs. I'll still wear the 36H but I wanted it in my regular size of 34HH too. This bra gets worn quite a bit. Can't wait for September to get the new color. Hopefully CK will keep this one coming. Read more 387 more words
I would wear this bra every day if I could. I would sleep in it. I don't know how to express my love for this bra... it's basically everything I wanted. Comfy, padded enough that I get great projection, I don't go extreme E-W like I'm prone to, I haven't noticed the typical CK upside down 7... so fabulous. It doesn't rub me raw underneath like every other bra I've owned has and it's held up nicely after 4 months of nearly constant use. Hoping to catch it on sale somewhere in the nude colour. My only complaint is that because the sides are high it peaks out of tank tops and most of my summer dresses but that's easily fixed with a shrug or me not caring because this bra is SO DARN COMFY.
Note: I currently wear a 36GG/34H in every brand except CK and Panache.
(Can you tell this is the first bra I've had that comfortably fits since I was properly measured?)
I took a chance on a 36H from Zulily, and this was another good bet. Admittedly, I have only met one Curvy Kate that doesn't get along with my breasts, and Portia is not that bra. (It was @Gia.) The construction and style is typical of Curvy Kate, lovely and soft, and the support and look is also really pleasing to wear and look at. I love this bra.
Curvy Kate's Daily Boost bra fits me quite well. I wear a 36H (UK) and have shallow, wider set breasts. The gore sits flat across my chest and the band is snug without choking me. It gives my breasts a nice orb shape, as well. I would recommend this bra for shallow, wider set breasts.
Back when I first started to self measure and ordered bras from online, it was very much a hit or miss game. This bra was from my first online order. I ordered the bra in a 36H, 34HH, and 34H… I kept this 36H because it felt like the best fit out of the bunch, and returned the others for an exchange (which again, ended up a failure even though I kept those bras.) It's made out of a smooth mesh material with very cute polkadots across the cup. The strap has a very pretty floral embroidery on it. The quality of this bra is very outstanding. Even though this bra is now very large, it has become my fall back bra to wear when I just don't know what else to wear. It's comfortable and too large now, but the cups are awesome (albeit they are a bit large…). I need this bra is a smaller band size and an adjusted cup size. Because I have had this bra for so long, it obviously has seen better days.
