My breasts are center-full, pendulous, FOB, and I have a lot of squish in my band measurement. My center-fullness is usually my dominant fit requirement. I suspect I have somewhat short roots, and narrow-to-average roots for my size. I also have narrow, somewhat sloped shoulders.
I think this would work better for someone more even or full on top, or possibly with more self supporting breasts. I just couldn't fill out the loose mesh at the top. I did really like the amount of projection it offered though! I definitely suggest it for someone that can support the mesh cup upper portion and needs a ton of projection.
My main ...complaint (as in, not simply a fit mismatch) about this bra is while the triangle cut out is cute and on trend, on my body it just looked awkward. I'm chubby and have plenty of fat in this particular area, so it just pressed down tightly and gave me a lil' fat triangle right int he middle of my bra. Not "tightly" as in uncomfortably, but sort of like what happens to the skin on your arm if you put a tight rubber band around it. Just not super sexy or attractive. I have a Ewa SF with a similar cutout that has a thin layer of mesh over it. Still sexy, cute and visually interesting while working for more body types. Read more 123 more words
I had the same problem with this bra but more so. It's definitely for someone with roots that are much more spread out, I think, especially vertically. Which is fine as CK has many bras great for short roots.
I'm glad I tried some of the suggested bras from other users cupandahalf and triumphof, because this is one great fitting bra for me.
The underwire are shorter, so no digging into armpits. I almost fill in the cups, with just a tiny bit of looseness at the top, as the contrasting ribbon isn't being pulled tight and the lace is a smidgen loose, but I can fix that easy. The look is very rounded, more suited to everyday wear.
I waited to publish this till I had worn it one full day. So the only issue I have ...is the band is suuupper stretchy. So as a consequence, I just got this, and I'm having to wear it on the tightest hooks. I guess the next CK bra I buy is going to have to be a 34. I'm not sure if I should feel accomplished from some small weight loss, that I'm going to have to buy a band size I don't ever recall wearing in my life, or just that I'm really getting a "vanity" size here. Most likely the latter, but even the Freya I got at the same time, isn't too long from being too big soon. At this point I've concluded that there is absolutely NO consistency between manufacturers, which is frustrating when buying online. Thankfully, there is this website to help! I have a love/hate relationship with Curvy Kate. They are pretty, well made and comfortable bras, but I dont get the uplift I'm looking for. The Princess is no exception. I've worn it several times, but I always end up feeling sloppy because my breasts seem to be too low on my body.
As I have worn only softcup/wireless bras, I was surprised to find such a lightweight material in a bra that was actually quite comfortable. I could easily see myself wearing this all day. The inner material on the lower portion of the breast is very soft. Like my other Curvy Kate bra, 36HH - Curvy Kate ยป Daily Boost (CK1801), I discovered the band was technically too large simply because this brand has a lot more give in the band. I recommend getting the lower band size if you are between band sizes.
Although the look is quite cute with the lace on the top ...of the band and along the straps, I worry about how the lace will fray after long-term wash and wears. Another cute feature was the ribbon threaded along the bottom of the lacing. However, this ribbon was technically cut longer than the cup, and I have ribbon bulging out even when I pull the lacing tight.
For wash and care, I would definitely use a bra laundry bag, even if actually handwashing this bra because of the lace. Read more 77 more words
I have never worn an underwire before because bras never seemed to fit correctly - and of course now I know why! Out of the two I have recently purchased, I really like Curvy Kate better than Goddess. They have a better overall feel to the material and more give in the band. Which is probably why this particular bra didn't fit me. My measurements make me either a 34J or a 36HH. As the Goddess band was nice and tight, I went for the same band in Curvy Kate. But being more "properly" made, the band was technically too large. Although the band ...did not ride up in the back, I was able to pull it away from my body a whole knuckle's worth! This is also probably the reason why the straps didn't seem to be in the right position for me either as they are at the edge of the bra instead of the centre which I am used to in soft cup/wireless bras. It may also be the reason why the gore wasn't keeping my breasts separated (cups seemed to be too close together). I would therefore recommend to go with a smaller band in Curvy Kate if you are between two band sizes.
With this particular model, the cups are a lined foam-like material. The outside appears to be sewn into the foam while the inside material is loose and soft to the touch. The only decoration to this bra, being made to wear under a tight shirt, is a contrasting colour along the edges and a small bow on the straps. It was very comfortable to wear. For washing, I would definitely recommend a molded cup bra bag for a handwash cycle on the washing machine in order to keep its shape.
I will definitely try another bra in Curvy Kate. Read more 201 more words
This bra gives my full on top breasts a pretty rounded shape. I love the design <3 When wearing thin tops one can see the polka dots through, which might be annoying for some of you, but it doesn't bother me. I have to go up a cup size, I'm a 36H in Panache Jasmine (6951) / Panache Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) and Freya , I'm wearing the Curvy Kate Princess in 36HH.
Bra fits nearly perfectly, only issue I have with it is the front of the band but that was my own mistake. I got the longline style before reading that it's not the best fit if you carry most of your weight in your midsection. Cups are perfect, band length is as well, it just goes down a little too low on me and flips up at the end. Still very comfortable though!
I was so hopeful about this bra... But, then I tried it on. Enter quadboob, a ridiculous amount of jiggle above the cups, and an unfortunate case of sideboob as the wires cut into tissue on the outside.
This bra just doesn't fit at all, the cups are definitely too small. It's getting returned asap.
The fabric used in this bra is INCREDIBLE. It is so soft and smooth, like a luxurious bath robe. Unfortunately I couldn't reconcile this with how bad the cup shape was for my breasts.
There was not enough lower depth in the cups for me, so when my breasts moved upwards into the cup's apex there was empty space that collapsed and wrinkled above the underwire. This caused the naturally pointy cup shape to get even more sharp and wedge-like as the apex dropped, which I didn't like very much at all both in terms of the pointy shape and in terms of the lacking lift.
Someone with less lower fullness and a less conical natural shape than me would look fantastic in this bra and get great lift. Even though pink bows are not really my thing, I'm jealous of anyone who can fit into this soft, smooth beauty.
While this bra technically fit me, it did not provide very good support, and created a very strange shape. The different pieces of mesh on the bra cup almost created a rectangular breast shape. I will be returning this bra.
It's really lovely, and once I put a shirt on I look great, but no shirt it gives an odd, pointed shape. I've heard sizing up the cup will correct that, and if you're at the small end of the band, try a band size smaller as well. I've heard people say it was firm, but even post-Thanksgiving over-indulgence I fastened it on the tightest hook with no difficulty. If I were to buy again I would try a 34J or 34JJ, even tho it does fit well enough, it's not a perfect "I want a dozen of this bra" holy grail in my usual size.
I had the same problem with this bra but more so. It's definitely for someone with roots that are much more spread out, I think, especially vertically. Which is fine as CK has many bras great for short roots.
