I am full-on-bottom and this bra works for me.
They are pendulous/loose skin and the lower cup on this bra is so shallow it is nearly like a push-up shelf. I have enough loose skin/pliable tissue that the firmer breast tissue is pushed up to the open part of the bra for cakes-on-a-plate cleavage. A bra with a moderately shallow bottom would half-way fit my firmer/interior breast tissue and give me orange-in-a-glass, however this bra being so shallow it pushes everything up to the top. What I'm trying to point out is that oddly enough this bra is so shallow that it works better than a ... moderately shallow bra for my full-on-bottom breasts.
The underwire is in a well padded channel so it is forgettably comfortable and I appreciate the cup width.
I had to alter mine to reduce the gore width. I sewed the underwire channels together in the front without overlapping, and the sturdy fabric made the operation very simple. I then had to add a purchased bra band hook extender to lengthen the band to make up for the length I took out of the gore.
The ruffles at the top of the cup show under clothes. However, when I paired this bra with a risque little black dress that the bra did not quite fit under, I actually appreciated the ruffles poking out and adding some cutesy/retro style. It make it look intentional instead of simply not having a bra that hid completely under the cut of the dress.
Tl;dr: Despite being shallow, having ostentatious ruffles, and needing a gore alteration, still works very well. Gave a FOB complimentable cleavage.
