This one piece swimsuit looks so cute! I really wanted it to work for me! I’m tempted to cut it into a two piece to make it a little better, but I probably won’t as it’s so expensive.
I am 5ft 7 inches tall. I wear 16/18 bottoms with a waist size of about 35 inches and hips about 46 inches all the way down. My usual bra size is 36HH/J. I’m FOB and need a lot of immediate projection. Average vertical and horizontal roots, the latter running just slightly narrow, but I am also pretty close-set and inner full. My standing bust is 45 while my leaning is ... 53, so an 8-inch difference! For reference, even the Panache Envy and Hettie don’t have enough immediate projection for my breasts, so ymmv.
First, this swimsuit is not designed for taller people. The torso is extremely short, and I’ve had to hike the swimsuit way high in the front to get the bra section even close to my breasts! If you’re taller than 5ft2, get a Brazilian or wear shorts over this one, lol! There is also no tummy/butt control, which is not a dealbreaker for me, but I think it would be more flattering on bigger wearers and could make it fit smaller wearers more comfortably (and there is no way to specify the bottom size independent of the top.)
Second, the cups don’t fit me properly. I can almost make them work, but only because I’m used to poorly fitting swimsuits and it has the semi-sheer wrap to cover and support a tiny a bit. The cups are padded, and there is not enough immediate or apex projection, so my boobs smoosh to the side and push down the underwires—and the underwires want to slip down anyway, due to the very short torso.
I cannot get the gore to come anywhere close to flat. The lack of projection means my boobs fall inward, pushing out the gore. No amount of scooping or swooping helps. I am not full enough on top to fill them properly or hold them up. This would be a tricky fit for many people, I think—my breasts are too firm to pour into the cup shape, but not firm enough to cleave perfectly to the top section.
Again, it’s extremely cute and I want it to work! It might be okay if I cut it into a two-piece or sew an extra panel into the midsection, and I could probably remove the padding and modify the cups somehow to get it to work. But I’m still not positive it would work right, and at that point I would rather buy a super cheap suit that fits right everywhere but the bust and just modify the cups to be bigger. It wouldn’t be that hard to sew a wrap feature on another suit, either.
Sadly, this probably won’t work for you if you’re on the tall side, need a lot of immediate projection, or are smaller than a size 14 or bigger than say a size 20 on bottom. I think it might fit someone who is shorter than 5ft4, wears a 14-20 in bottoms, and has self-supporting, not excessively projected breasts (Less than 8 inches difference between standing and lying for sure).
