This is a beautiful bra from a relatively unknown Polish brand that AGBras sent to me to try. Her review is really spot on with the descriptions of the details. It’s a baby blue semi soft bra with a pastel floral print mesh overlay and intricate embroidery. There’s kind of a lot going on. Lol. The embroidery goes partly up the straps which makes them not completely adjustable, and they are adorned with little blue bows like the one at the gore. The band closes with 3 hook settings.
The fit for me is mixed. The band is snugger than I am comfortable with, and ...while I have no problem with the lower foam cups fitting, I lack a little bit of the upper fullness or height needed to fill the top out better as my breasts are quite soft, projected, even to fob, and functionally short. The elastic strip on the top edge of the cups helps close it off some though, and doesn’t cut in as bad as they do with other bras/brands. This fit ends up being mostly round but semi pointy. This shape mismatch might be ok for period swelling but the band snugness would not be.
Alas, I am passing it on with deep sighs. Read more 106 more words
Thank you. It’s sad but I have a silver lining. And super happy to have tried it.
I actually went to their site and somehow managed to navigate despite the language.
Quite an impressive offer, no numbers to match the 46" F or so that I need.
And another detail. Models wear them with straps almost at their longest setting.
Are those rebranded Asia designs ? The site says all is local. Puzzled.
femineaaeterna Dalia is 100% made in Poland ! They import their fabrics from European countries - Italy, France, Switzerland and Austria. They are very well made. I loved this set and because it was so nice could not bare to have it sit unused in my drawer.
I don't know why the models are all shown with straps fully extended. I did not find the straps to be abnormally short (I would notice because as I am quite petite I often have to adjust straps more than halfway.
AGBras , Yes indeed, very well made, finished, I downloaded hi-res pictures and zoomed for details.
Also kind of girly, fresh & lively too.
BTW, rebranded design does not mean rebranded production.
Trade shows also sell designs, complete patterns, bill of materials. That is information on how to get a model going in production.
A win-win case I'm told of frequent use, where all sizes are scaled and "test flying" is done. Just ready to roll.
femineaaeterna I would be very surprised if they use Asian designs. They are famous for their semi-soft bras, which are a Polish invention. That country is VERY proud of their bra-making heritage.
AGBras , Wow, then marv ! That much industry has gone out of the continent, so a full in-house chain is a very respectful achievement indeed ! WIsh them the best!
I'm so pixxed to count how many brands, my homeland included, went out of the dictionary.
I'mmmm baaaaacccccckkkkkkk!!! Cuba was awesome. I'm tired from travel, and can't cook, so I figured I would try to review at least one of the new Polish brands I tried this month.
As a side note: MamaPagan absolute favorite travel bra ever?
Gorsenia Paradise. Hands down. Sexy A.F. , light, sheer, dries overnight even in the humidity of the tropics. I need them to make it in beige now...
OK. So. DALIA.
Dalia is a new Polish brand to me. I first saw it on a blog and when MagdaBras4you went to the Lingerie Salon in Poland this spring I asked her to ...look for it. She liked it in person and I liked the comments that I read from other bloggers, so we decided to order a set to try.
I ordered a semi-soft, because, well, I have been kind of obsessed with semi-softs lately. I told Magda I must have Polish blood (semi-soft bras are a Polish specialty)
Let me tell you - this bra does NOT disappoint.
Dalia uses forms and their semi-soft is called K24. This particular style is called SKYE.
It is a grey-blue-turquoise matte/sueded knit with multi-colour printed and embroidered net.
Wires are average narrow width. I measured them at 14cm. They flare out just a tiny bit at the top, which I have noticed with many semi-soft styles I have tried, so I would call them a modified U-shape.
The cups are deep and projected. I almost get a tack. It's just the very top of the gore that sits away from my sternum by about 1/2 cm. This doesn't bother me at all, and since I am really between 65G and 65H in almost all brands, I choose to go with the 65G for lift and oomf and accept the lightly floating gore. Remember - I have VERY projected breasts, even at the upper center quadrant, which is why I often have lightly floating gores.
The inside of the cup is soft jersey. The outside is a combination of printed and embroidered mesh(lower, padded section) and embroidered mesh (top, soft section).
The embroidery is different - it's swirly and printed. Look at the pictures and you will understand. It's reminds me of very fine crewel needlework.
The band is firm, double-layered and has nice, even tension with 3 rows of 3 hooks. Elastics are wide and soft. It measures less than 60cm in this size and my stretched length is conservative. It's a 65 band for sure.
Straps are wide, decorated and comfortable.
***I loaded a ton of pictures, with comments to highlight what I believe to be the finest assets of this bra.***
I also have the string/thong bottom which fits TTS for a small and is so incredibly comfortable.
I will definitely buy more from this brand. I am so impressed with this set, for it's fit, look and quality of construction. I can't WAIT for their fall selection as I know they are planning burgundy and plum styles and I am eager to add those colors to my collection. Read more 397 more words
About me: dense, center full and close set, full on bottom with tall, sloping vertical roots and narrow horizontal width.
The cups are wonderfully narrow and deep, but the straps are so uncomfortable above my armpits. It's a combo of the height of the cups, how far out to the side the straps are, and the fact that the strap fabric has very little give where it meets the top of the cup met with my very short torso, so everything sort of converges in the least ideal spot, I think. The band is tight, but not uncomfortably so for me. The embroidery and colors are beautiful! I wish it were a better fit for me.
Very lovely bra that appears well constructed with pretty embroidery. Band is very firm, unfortunately a little uncomfortably so on me. Cups are deep with tons of bottom and middle projection; the shape on me is more pointy than I prefer, but the shape would likely be rounder on someone with more overall fullness. Will be passing this one on, but very happy to have tried this brand.
I'm sorry it didn't work out. It's very lovely.
