I havent ordered a plain unbra in forever - I lived in these bras for over 20 years. I have a bra-shirt I wear for yoga in the winter, but really missed having an unbra to wear around the house on days I'm not going anywhere.
This is perfect! I like to get my unbras really small, so they fit like a compression bra. I find it SO comfortable! I am not comfortable with my boobs hanging down - they move and get in the way and just feel insecure, not to mention awkward if anyone happens to knock on the door - ...when I say I'm trying to keep my boobs out of my belly button, I'm only slightly exaggerating.
I actually got this bra as a 31 - she said they cut the cloth as a 30, but add an inch to the elastic, which worked out really well. The straps are 2.5 inches shortened. (since there are no adjusters, they customize the bra for you - since i've been buying so long, they will take orders that way - first time buyers usually have to try the bra on and return for adjustments)
and so, so comfortable! I am more comfortable in public wearing underwires with projection, but this is more comfy for sitting around and slouching lol
or for activities - i dont think there are any 32K sports bras?
Actually dbmamaz there is one I know of, though I haven't tried it so I can't say if it's any good.
This would be the second of the two Decent Exposure bras I tried. This one is a Cotton/Lycra blend, at a 90% Cotton to 10% Lycra ratio. I opted to go with the Sage color, but there are about a dozen or so color options.
The website only lists bands of 30 and above, with cups up to an L, but I knew from Sovavosi that you can order a smaller band within the notes. I requested a 26 band, and within the back and forth with Decent Exposures, I found out that they can do up to an M cup, so ...I opted to try it. They recommended getting the cups lined for extra support, which I said sure, even though it wasn’t really needed for my purpose of sleeping in. I also opted to get the 2” ribbing instead of elastic for the band, as for me, it is typically more comfortable. For whatever reason, the lining of this one is a Cream color instead of the Sage. While it does match nicely, I would have preferred the same Sage color. The lining seems to match the outer cup in size and tension, which is nice, as this is not the case with the Forest Cotton one.
Compared to the all cotton Forest bra, I like the fit and hug of this one far better. It still has that frontal tug which pulls the side seams forward and thus on breast tissue which is a bit irritating, even with the cotton thread used. While both bras were lined both front and back for support, it does not feel like that extra back lining adds support. Overall, it is still comfortable and works well as a sleep bra, so I am happy with it.
Now for measurements:
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 16” and stretches to a max of 27”. It has no hooks, so it is a slip on. With the max of 27”, it is quite comfortable while on but is a real pain to shimmy it up over my hips. Since my hips are around 35” and my bust 42”, it is easier to shimmy up then try to pull over and down.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 10” 2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 16”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.
Compared to the Forest, the cups on this one have 2” more give to them, which could also be why they hug better yet stretch more comfortably.
The cup width measures 7” from center looper to side seam, and has a height of 11” mid way on the cup area. The looper puts the gore height at 4.4” and width at 0.5”, but the looper can be removed, though I wouldn’t recommend it personally. It was not an easy task, that was for sure! It took about 10 minutes of me trying to squeeze inch by inch over my squishy bum, haha. If I had a muscular tush instead of a cellulite one, it wouldn't have ever worked. 😋😬😋
I remeasured the band this morning. Band vs bum, bum won, haha. The band now measures 23" flat and stretches to 35".
It is still very comfortable and honestly the ribbing is less of an irritant than the elastic band ones. The seam edge on the elastic band ones has the elastic edge exposed which does both my sensitive skin a bit at times, which has me back to thinking I should order more with the ribbing again. Choices choices! :-)
You're lucky. I have those so called child bearing hips that would absolutely destroy anything if I tried to get it over them! Either that or it wouldn't go over them lol

This 40J - Decent Exposures » Cami-bra Scoop Back (410) is the best bra ever and the best camisole I've ever owned! Decent Exposures has outdone themselves! I chose a cami-bra to get something I could dance and exercise in that would hold my boobs comfortably. This is their unbra style with a bodice attached, not truly a longline bra or corset. There are no hooks, making this a truly comfortable bra.
This is a pull on garment, but it is very easy to get into. The wide elastic band provides support all the way around the bra. There is no chaffing ...or discomfort from the band, but if you did have any discomfort, you could request latex free elastic and alternative construction.
There are four or five kinds of fabric leading to dozens of color/fabric choices. I limit my selection to the three that make the best big boob bras: lined lycra has two layers of stretch fabric (one each with the stretch going different directions. This allows the fabric to be very supportive. This has lined panels in the front and back for even wear and tear. I'd like to get at least three more cami bras both sleeveless and at least one more with 3/4 length sleeves. This makes great long underwear as well.
Of course, without the construction of conventional bras, some tailored looks won't work with thi s bra. I'm going to request a longer looper on the next one for a little less cleavage for more public wear.
All Decent Exposure bras are perfectly customizable. When you first order, they help you design a perfect fit. I chose to add a wide looper and 3 inches to the bodice (but turns out I should have gone with the standard 12.5 inches). I also had the elastic reduced by 1 inch to effectively make a 39 inch band.
This is the most comfortable thing I've ever stretched over my boobs since a cozy blanket. I've had to force myself to not wear it every day since I received it and will order another sans sleeves immediately.
I'd never thought of trying one of those, but I bought one of their tankini bathing suits one year - the tank is attached to but over top of the bra in that one, and it kept riding up. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable wearing something that form-fitting, though - of course, I dont dance and only exercise at home.
dbmamaz: good to know about the tankini. I was suspicious of that. I think I would go with this kind of style with a longer looper in one of their swim fabrics for swimming.
I hear you about wearing this out like it is, but if the looper were 4 inches longer (making the thing 2 inches higher in the front) I would have no problem doing that. I just like this so much I wouldn't send it back. This makes excellent long underwear and I also use it under sleeveless tops and loose tops to stretch them into winter. This is such a great layer! It's really warm and comfy.
I literally wear it all the time and sleep in it sometimes too. I am not a fan of sleeping in bras. so, there you go

Decent Exposures makes bras for women's comfort and I've been wearing them for over 20 years. I just received this lavender cotton velour, haven't had a velour for nearly two decades. Velour is very supportive, comfortable, warm. It is supportive, but isn't designed to give a pin-up sillouette. Since each bra is custom made, delivery is about 3 weeks, but DE customer care contacted me to let me know they had this one in stock (I had just ordered an eggplant Decent Exposures Original Un-bra Scoop Back (110) and a lavender camibra).
This is not a fashionable lingerie ...style, so some may find the bra unattractive, but it is built for comfort and support. no bra can beat it!
Sizing: DE uses a customized sizing that may or may not agree with your US/UK size. For me, cup size tends to be in between the UK & US sizing. The good news is each bra is custom fit -- when you first order they provide guidance on how to get the best fit. You may need to return the bra for adjustments, but if you invest the time you will get a bra that really works for you. PLUS, if your body changes and they are able to do so, they will remake your bra for a modest fee. I bought my last DE bra in 2004 and it is still in great shape (just a little too small, sadly).
PROS: No underwires, no poke, no shoulder dig, wide elastic at the bottom anchors for support and doesn't pinch or dig, custom made, so you can get special extras (none on this floor model), but it does have a loose looper (the ring that makes the cups in front can be slid around to the back (see pics) for a uniboob style that is good for sport or for creating a camisole front. No hooks means no dig in the back. No tags means no tag poking in the sides. The velour is good for larger breasts, but DE has a variety of fabrics suited to different breasts and uses. My past experience is that this fabric doesn't stretch out too much over time.
CONS: only two problems. If you have mobility issues it could be hard to put it on, but then it may be easier than reaching around your back or slidng a tight band around your body. Second, this is not the bra for fashions that require a high bust profile as the darts and tailoring won't match and you may be unused to the look of more natural boobs in more amenable garments. I've been wearing Decent Exposure bras about a decade longer than you have! I have been trying to find a 'real bra' to get ready for job interviews.
I havent had a velour one in a long time, either. I've been wearing lined lycra which also gives pretty good support (they put the inner lining of the fabric facing a different way so they dont stretch as much)
I think I wear a 30G in Decent Exposures and I"m a 32J in most of the bras I'm trying on now

I favor Prima Donna Deauville as the most comfortable conventional bra I've had over the course of some years, and a couple of Fantasie styles worked for me in the past, but I'm not sure about now (Elodie and another that is now discontinued) but I'm just sizing out of those and not sure what I will do if i don't lose a little weight so I can stay in their range (oh yeah, and meet my goal to lose weight :D). If you haven't tried Prima Donna, you might, if the band size is small enough. That's the challenge. One my my daughters was wearing a 28GG for a little while. That was fun to try to find. :D
I actually tried on the Deauville in a store and it fit ok, but i didnt like it nearly enough to justify the price.
I tried on the Jana side support, and it was oddly comfortable and fit well - so despite being very ugly (to me), it seemed worth gettin. But i bought it on line because i had a credit. Oh, it also looked fine under a t-shirt.
I had bought a Lois side support, which I also thought was really ugly, but I didnt like the fit well enough. Hopefully the Jana will still fit when I have it at home!
I’m really impressed with this bra and with the company’s customer service. I have sensitive skin and some sensory issues with regard to clothing, and a bra made from soft cotton fabric with covered band elastic and no wires sounds like the best thing ever, so I finally emailed Decent Exposures to ask if they could recommend a size for me. (Sizes 30-54 AA-K are available to select on their site, but they’ll make other sizes to order, including 26 and 28 bands and AAA cups.) They recommend +0 measuring for the band in their size guide, but suggested I start with a 28C instead of 26D after ...I mentioned I was sensitive to pressure from tight bands. As I didn’t know what their standard strap length was like, I gave them my measurement from top of shoulder to bra band and they made the bra with straps 1.5" longer than standard, hence the “28C 1 1/2 L” on the size label. I also asked for the bra to be made with a wide front looper (1.5” instead of 0.5”) which turned out to be perfect for my wide-set breasts. There was no extra charge for these adjustments, and I believe Decent Exposures will accept returns on made-to-order items.
The fabric I chose was their 100% organic cotton interlock, and it’s very soft and comfortable. It has some give to it, but didn't stretch out after a few wears. I’m pretty happy with the fit of the 28 band - it's small (only 48cm/18.9” unstretched) but stretchy enough that I can easily pull the bra on over my shoulders. The cups are slightly too big, though, and after wearing the bra a few times I shortened the straps by about 2" to reduce the cup volume. While the style doesn’t provide a lot of lift or shaping, it has the best cup separation I’ve ever seen in a wireless bra. The front looper actually touches my sternum! I love how comfortable it is, and I'm planning on getting one in 28B as soon as I can order again.
EDIT: I eventually had to stop wearing this bra, as the narrow elastic at the top of the band (under the arm) stretched out over time, to the point where the cup gaped in that area. The bra was never tight there, so I think the elastic may have been stretched by my habit of pulling the bra off by grabbing the top of the band. My love for the Decent Exposure bras continues, as does my need to experiment with the sizing, haha. This time I ordered the 30K to be made as a 26K (since 30 is the smallest band they list but not the smallest they make) in the unlined Cotton/Lycra blend for the up and coming summer days. While the unlined 26L is fine for night wear, it doesn’t offer as much support for days as I desire, and I go through spurts where I want a good wireless comfort but don’t want to be constricted by a Sports bra. I also ordered the looper ...(The loop fabric that creates the gore and separates the breasts) to be 6” tall which is 3” longer than standard (per DE) for this size. I have some major gore tug going on in my other DE bras and it finally dawned on me that it’s the looper not being tall enough to accommodate my taller than average breasts. This is just one of several customizations that can be done to accommodate individual needs. The looper can be ordered wider as well, the band as elastic or a softer ribbing, the strap area lengthened or shortened, the armholes raised or lowered, cookie pockets added, band length adjusted to between sizes (25,27,29,31,33” etc) and even front opening. Plus there’s about a dozen fabric options including lined and unlined, as well as swim fabric options, and a large selection of solid colors, with a few having patterns available too.
A 26K in Decent Exposure is 26:11 which I’m sure sounds insane for my normal 28:16-28:17 size, and this can be very misleading, so let me give a quick rundown on their sizing.
The band ordered should be your underbust measurement. Their cup sizes available are A through M, with A-C increasing 1” each, then D&E 2” each cup, F-I 1.5”, J 2.5”, and K + being 1.5” with a one cup adjustment made for Lined vs Unlined versions. So 26K is intended for 26” underbust, and 39-41.5” overbust for lined bras, and 41.5-43” for unlined. This makes the unlined 26K true to size for my bust. While the index sizing can give you a bit of reverse letter phobia when compared to your normal bras, especially in the upper end of the cup scale, once you’ve tried a few, you get a better sense that their sizing chart is pretty accurate, and sizing up based on normal logic isn’t going to give you support. Sizing up is wonderful for sleeping and comfort mind you, but for an average day, not so much. That being said, the sub 30 bands get more complicated than that.
I had my suspicions confirmed about the sizing and 26/28 bands. Per Decent Exposures, the 26 and 28 bands are created like this: “So the material will fit the ribbing or elastic better, we do take some fabric off the bottom edge of the bra, but it’s graded to standard (30 band) halfway towards the armhole, so the upper part of the back was standard on the bras we’ve sent.”
So honestly a 26K, 28K, and 30K has the same cup area but the 26 and 28 are just shorter at the bottom to hug the ribs. This means a 26K & 28K really are 30Ks with a band shortened just as ordered. This functionally makes the 26K not a 26:11 but a 26:13 (sister size to the 30K) instead. Does this matter? Not at all, but it may help combat some of the mental math confusion their sizing can create.
Pricing varies by cup, fabric, and option selection, ranging from $37 (30AA-D unlined cotton) up to $91(60J-L lined lycra/dri-release etc with front closure & w/pockets.) So, yes, they do increase the price based on the cup and band size. So the more fabric used the higher the price. Also, I have been told that if you order 3 or more un-Bras in a size/style you have previously ordered, you get a $3 per bra discount. I have not done this yet, as I am still dabbling with the sizing and options, but it’s nice to know! Not included on their drop down menu is the M cup which I know is $2 more in the 26-30 band range, though is possibly higher in the upper bands.
They also have Cami style bras and tankini top options as well ranging in price from $52-109 depending on options chosen. Really, the options are almost endless!
Now for measurements:

I have 6 Decent Exposure Bras now, 3 Lined Cotton/Lycra-two in 26M & 1 in 26L, 1 Lined 100% Cotton in 26M, 1 Unlined Cotton/Lycra in 26L, and this one. Of these, Two were ordered with ribbed band instead of elastic (26M lined Cotton & one of the 26M Lined Cotton/Lycra blends) which are more comfortable on the rib area if you have sensitive skin, but are more difficult to get on as the ribbing does not stretch like the elastic. If you have a large bust or a larger rump than rib measurement, this makes it close to impossible to pull over your bust from above or shimmy up from below, and after doing so a few times the ribbing loses some of its tension, resulting in a looser than desired band. It is still comfortable and supportive, just not as much as in the beginning. So due to this, I would recommend sticking with the elastic band for most people, especially if you plan on using them as active day support.
While these are far from sexy, they are so comfortable and have so many options, I just can’t say enough how much I recommend them.
I am really eager to play with the customizations for these bras. I view it like a puzzle, trying to get the perfect balance between fit, support, and comfort. Read more 1223 more words
i love watching you do this! i wore them forever but just wear them really small like a compression bra - but they do lose elasticity pretty quickly. I'm still wearing my 30I - Decent Exposures » Original Un-bra Racer Back (120) but it does not give as much support as I like - plus if I wear it too often, I get rash between my breasts. I only use it for stay-at-home days but when I was doing online school I had a lot of those!

From the descriptions, I assume the Dri Release is similar to the Lycra, though I can't say for sure. If so, I think I would like it as well!
I am currently only getting the organic varieties though, but I may expand out to others soon. I really like the swim prints, so I am very tempted to try one of those for a bit of pazzazz.

Haha! Yeah, these don't make him say "hubba hubba" but he actually seems to like them. They give me a nice rounded shape and he hasn't said anything negative about them, which is amazing for him and his normally over opinionated mind/mouth.
Then again, no hooks and easy to slip the straps off the shoulders for full access and exposure, so maybe that's why? :o

while the shape isnt great with mine, i think my hubby likes the feel of it a lot more than the feel of structured bras - he esp hated the padded bras, but i do too. but the FB is like armor, I think my boobs probably feel softer in the unbra
I ordered this bra in the lined dri-release wicking fabric as it said it was better for D-K cups. Since they do not have 28 bands listed on their website, they told me to order a 30 and ask for rib size 28 in the special instructions box during checkout. It took them about two weeks to manufacture this bra for me.
When I got it, my first thought was “how will I ever pull it over my head and shoulders?”. It turns out that the band on this bra is pretty stretchy, but goes back to the 28” I requested very well. The fabric feels fairly lightweight, relatively ...cool for the type of fabric, and dries quickly after being washed.
Their cup sizes don’t correspond to UK sizes but they do have a chart telling you how to measure for their sizes. The J cups in the lined dri-release fabric fit my 12” difference very well. I don’t feel squished nor do I feel like my breasts are sliding around. The looper is actually touching my sternum also, I’ve not had this experience with other wireless bras I own. I feel pretty supported, no shoulder aching from a too large band. The top of the cups lie flat against my shallow tissue without gaping or cutting in. The fabric feels stiff enough that I could do yoga in it without much trouble. This bra is also great for sleeping in too. My only complaint is the looper is too wide for me, as my breasts almost touch when supported. Read more 150 more words

Glad it is comfy and well-made! To measure band length for bras that don't open: place flat and unstretched on flat surface, just measure the front of the band and multiply by two. For stretched, just stretch out and measure the front and again multiply by 2.

I have been wearing Decent Exposures unbras for honestly 25 years. Before that I went braless for several years. I found the hardware and seams of bras way too uncomfortable, and I was a hippy chick who just didnt care.
I am looking to transition to having more 'real' bras in my closet, and was not considering buying another bra from Decent Exposures, but someone posted about this bra-shirt. I had been having trouble finding a shirt to do yoga in when it got cold - everything sporty was a tank top, and everything warm fell over my face when I went upside down.
So ...I bought this lovely thing! This is a 30F with straps cut 2 inches short, custom sleeves, 12 inch bodice, 41 inch hip, 1.5 inch wide looper. (it also says looper cut at 4.5, but I dont know that that is something I specified?)
Now, I still own 3 older lined lycra Decent Exposure bras, 2 in a 30E and one in a 30F. The 30F is loose and the 30Es fit like compression bras, which I like. The bottom band actually flips up and acts like a support band. Decent Exposures says you can wear the same size in Velour and Lined Lycra, but I ordered this in my bigger size - its clearly still a bit small. Keep in mind, I wear a 32J in Panache bras. These sizes are very different.
I included 2 front pictures so you can see that you can actually slide the fabric back and forth through the looper, to adjust which breast gets more fabric. Obviously, there's still not enough to go around. The weird, badly done yoga shot is to show that THIS WORKS!! The shirt doesnt fall down on to my face and the hem stays on my hips! This is exactly why I wanted this shirt and it works!
I will keep this even tho I really could go up a cup size. It might stretch, I might lose weight, and it just doesnt bother me - esp since I mostly plan to use it to do yoga in my own bedroom (not the bathroom, I promise - the lighting was just better in there). I told dh that other reviewers said they would wear it out as a shirt. He said he thought I could do that. I said sure, if I wasnt spilling out of it - hubby just gave me an impish grin. He really likes this - you never know what will float the guys' boats!

Oh wow, that is a SUPER cute top! I am really surprised you wear 30E and 30F in their bras, though. I *think* you and I are pretty close to the same size, and I have a Decent Exposures Un-Bra in 30J with some alterations (shorter straps, straps closer in the back, 1.5" looper attached, etc.) I bought it when I was larger (32JJ/34J), but it still fits well for lounging/sleeping even though it's a bit too big in the cups now. Mine is more full-coverage and doesn't give the awesome cleavage like yours, though. ;) I plan to order another one soon, but I'd most likely order 30I or 30H.

I know, I still think its weird too, actually. I mean, this is obviously too small - but I prefer wearing their bras tight enough to be compression bras, rather than just boob covers.
I meant to load up pics of my old bras from them, but they are so worn - and the lycra ones really do stretch. I think I bought my three current bras when I was smaller.
If I were to buy another, I would go up a cup - but I always ordered smaller than the recommendations. Not for the cleavage, but for better support. Esp with the stretchier ones, you can still squeeze in but they hold you tighter. But I guess that was actually why I stopped wearing the velour - because it doesnt work that way. If you get them so they fit, I didnt like the lack of support. Very saggy boobs here!
Ah, I guess that makes sense then if you're wanting it to fit very tightly like a compression bra. My bra is made of Lined Dri-Release fabric, and while it wasn't super tight, it still provided a great deal of support (not as much now since it's a bit big on me.) I only wanted it for lounging and sleeping though, so I certainly didn't need (or want) support/tightness equal to a sports bra or regular bra.
I wore nothing but Decent Exposure bras for about 25 years, usually owning one too-small sexy bra, or one too-small-but-looks-ok-under-a-fancy-dress bra. That was the only thing I wore day in, day out. So I had to make the most of it. When the boobs are down to the belly button, nothing fits right

oops . ..it shrank a bit in the wash. i've always dried these bras on very low heat . . . i guess i should have hung it to dry. i'll still wear it in my room for yoga though - it is inspirational
This one is made from the lined dri-release fabric. I really love these things, they are wireless bra bliss. They give very firm support and are extremely comfortable. One thing I do notice about this brand is that the colour really affects the flexibility and support of the fabric. The grey colour feels stiffer and more supportive than the teal or aqua. They have told me the pink is not as supportive. Great brand and they are good at communicating with customers.
My lined dri-release Decent Exposures have been feeling tight and uncomfortable, so I decided to try an all cotton one as well as another dri-release in the next size up.
This one is 100% organic cotton in the colour sage. There are no other modifications other than making the band 2” shorter, as a 28 is not listed on their website. I requested the band be made shorter in the special instruction box during checkout. The all cotton one is listed as light support, but only recommended for smaller cup sizes. I think the cups look odd compared to the dri-release. It looks too big to me, but ...that could just be the wrinkling of the fabric. I don’t feel unsupported, as my breasts tend to ache when out of a bra too long. I don’t have that feeling wearing it so I know it is doing something.
I feel like this bra would not be supportive for someone with heavy pendulous breasts. I bought it as a sleeping/lounging bra and I feel like it is wonderful for this purpose. The cotton is very soft and does not trap heat as much as the lined dri-release. The looper tacks firmly to my chest, providing seperation at night and while sitting on the couch. This is not a bra that I’d wear around the house to do chores in, there is too much jiggle.

Purple in Cotton/Lycra blend 26M Lined front & back
This is the final bra of my second order from Decent Exposure. This one is a Cotton/Lycra blend, at a 90% Cotton to 10% Lycra ratio. I opted to go with the Purple color for this one, but there are 20 colors to choose from. Due to a quality control issue (poor stitching) they didn’t ship this one with the other 2 I ordered, as it needed to be redone. They were quick to correct and shipped it 4 days (two business days) later, yet what I received had a section of horrible only partially done stitching, so honestly I ...don’t think they corrected the issue that delayed shipping in the first place. This is disappointing, but not worth the hassle of complaint or returning for correction. If the stitching comes out, I can redo it if needed.
Aside from the funky stitching section, the bra is perfect and comfortable. The only difference between the 26L and 26M appears to be the strap length (2” difference) as the cup tension feels the same in both sizes. I have come to realize that the 26L straps are too short, which results in the band riding up (both front and back) so that the band digs into the bottom of my breast tissue after a few hours of wear. The 26L feels more supportive, but that’s just because it’s tugging up on my breasts and that supportive feeling is replaced with discomfort fairly quickly. For sleep purposes, I will stick with the 26M. For day support wear, I think I’d order the 26M with the straps shortened 1” or the 26L with the straps lengthened 1” which should resolve the issue. I will have to think about it more before placing a future order. (Technically the cup area is taller and thus larger in the 26M but with the looper in place, it results in the same cup height, tension, and feel aside from the strap tug.)
Now for measurements:
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 21” and stretches to a max of 32”. It has no hooks, so it is a slip on. Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 12” 2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 17”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.
The cup width measures 7” from center looper to side seam, and has a height of 11” mid way on the cup area. The looper puts the gore height at 5.25” and width at 0.5”. While the looper can be removed, I wouldn’t recommend it personally. It does a great job at putting a bit of separation between the breasts. The band is 1.25” tall and comfortable but the ribbing is more comfortable while wearing.
Additonal measurements:
The back is 4” tall, and 16” wide at the top wing to wing. The front gore is 16.5” tall with the looper removed.
To compare to the other Lycra/Cotton blends: 26M Sage (ribbed band): band 16-27”, cup width 7”, cup depth 10-16”, wing 5.15”, gore 4.4” (not incl ribbed band) 26L Turquoise: band 21-32”, cup width 7.5”, cup depth 10-16”, wing 5.75”, gore 5” 26L Teal (unlined): band 21-32”, cup width 7.5”, cup depth 10-17”, wing 6.15”, gore 5”

Turquoise in Cotton/Lycra blend 26L Lined front & back
This would be the second bra from my second Decent Exposure order. This one is a Cotton/Lycra blend, at a 90% Cotton to 10% Lycra ratio. It is lined from and back and is Turquoise color, but there are about a dozen or so color options.
While the band does ride up in the back even after just a few minutes of wear, it’s comfortable and doesn’t feel like it’s an issue. Like with the other DE bras I have, it has that frontal tug which pulls the side seams forward and thus on breast tissue which is a bit ...irritating but I get used to it. After one night’s wear, I do think I prefer the 26L over the 26M, but I am at low tide, so my opinion may change as I get closer to high tide.
Now for measurements:

This gives the 26L Lined Lycra the same “cup” depth as the 26M Lined Lycra. While on, the feel the same. Really the only difference is the between the two is the 26M straps are 2” longer than the 26L, making the 26L a bit more supportive feeling.

I sometimes think the ride up is just from breast weight. Mine ride up a bit too, but aside from feeling it I don't feel unsupported.
Honestly as long as it isn't painful I really don't mind. I'd rather have it ride up than dig in for sure.
Beautiful colour. I think that for a leisure bra, a little riding up is tolerable.
Thank you Calluna for your comment, but I am a bit confused about the focus on the band ride up. I mentioned it in the review as it's noticeable in the photos, but stated it didn't feel like an issue as it was comfortable. I also marked it as fitting for the same reason. I am not concerned about it at all.
After wearing this a few nights I have come to the conclusion the straps are too short. The band rides up in the front as well so by morning it is digging into the bottom of my breasts. This morning I took this one off and put on the Purple 26M for photos and it was an instant relief, making me realize the straps are an issue. Since the only difference between the two sizes appears to be the strap length, I think I'd stick with the 26M for the lined bras at least. I have yet to wear the unlined 26L aside from initial try on to see if it's better or not. I realize the strap issue is likely the cause of the band ride up in the back as well, which isn't an issue in the back but is a problem in the front.
Hmm. They seem open to fixing things, I’d try telling them.
I am horrible with such things though. 😬 Shortening the straps they can do easily, but adding length (more material) would require a redo, which I won't ask for.
It's a learning experience and at least I know what works and what is problematic, right?
I just need to remember my breasts are taller than I think they are. I have a long torso but often forget that it effects my breast placement.
This one isn't as bad as the Molke bras but similar in issue.
I never connected the two until you said it, but smaller cups would automatically need longer straps since the straps are the cups. Hmm.
It's funny how we can overlook (or forget) those details. The thought hadn't occurred to me either until I experienced it, and then it took wearing this one a few nights for the logic to click in the brain.
I figure I have 2 options for future orders. Order the 26L with longer straps or order the 26M. Since the strap difference is 2", I could always try 1" longer on the 26L, or 26M with 1" shorter to more "day" wear support.
If you move the looper to the back, the front gore height is 16.5" on the 26M but 15" on the 26L so you are spot on with the cups being technically taller even though the looper makes them the same.
My comment about the band riding up was agreeing with your assessment and what you said in your review. Sorry if it didn’t come across that way.

I finally got around to adding photos with the looper moved to the back. 😄 I added them for all three with the regular band (under each bra separately) but not the ribbed band ones since that looper is sewn into the band and can't be moved without permanent removal.
With the looper moved like this allows for the bra to be used as a smooth line supportive layered top and works well for major modesty covering under low cut tops, or as a chill barrier on colder days that you really want to wear that V neck sweater. 😍❄😍
Teal in Cotton/Lycra blend 26L Unlined This would be my second order from Decent Exposure. For this order, I opted to keep the bottom elastic instead of switching it to ribbing in hopes it would be easier to get on and off. I also decided to try this one unlined and in a cup size down to counter the lessened tension of the lining layer removed. This is a Cotton/Lycra blend, at a 90% Cotton to 10% Lycra ratio unlined in Teal. I also ordered a 26L Lined Lycra/Cotton (for more of a lockdown feel and to wear during the day with more support) in Turquoise and a second ...26M lined Lycra/Cotton in Purple. They will be reviewed separately.
I ordered the 30L (30 is the smallest band they offer online) with the request for a 26L in notes. The receipt shows as 30L with the bottom elastic 4” shorter, while the tag & label show 26L. This does make me wonder if the cups are from the 30L with just the band shortened or if they actually alter the bra structure altogether to accommodate the smaller size. Personally, based on the width of the back aside from the bottom elastic, I feel it is just a 30L with the bottom shortened as the top of the back is very wide. 16.5” from seam to seam at the top of the wing across the back to be exact.
Without the lining, you can easily see nipples, which the lined versions hide fairly well. I didn’t think much about it, but my husband made sure to point it out that he could tell the difference by the nip shine through, so I felt it was worth mentioning for those who have issue with this shine through.
For fit, I feel it’s not bad. The cups feel snug but not painful. It still has that frontal tug which pulls the side seams forward and thus on breast tissue which is a bit irritating but I get used to it. With this one being unlined, it feels much lighter and cooler and will be wonderful for the summertime. The cups don’t feel as supportive without the second layer of fabric, but will work fine as a sleep bra. I am tempted to try this again in a 26K to see how the fit compares, but fear the straps would be too short if I did, so I most likely pass on that.

While on the hunt for a replacement sleep bra, Decent Exposures was suggested to me, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered two different materials so that I could compare, this 100% Cotton one and a Cotton/Lycra blend. Both colors that I chose are Organic, and there are several organic options, as well as some colors that are not. Overall there are over a dozen colors to choose from, as well as various material options.
The website only lists bands of 30 and above, with cups up to an L, but I knew from Sovavosi that you can order ...a smaller band within the notes. I requested a 26 band, and within the back and forth with Decent Exposures, I found out that they can do up to an M cup, so I opted to try it. They recommended getting the whole bra lined for extra support, which I said sure, even though it wasn’t really needed for my purpose. I also opted to get the 2” ribbing instead of elastic for the band, as I find it to be more comfortable. While this is typically done in the same color, they were out of the Forest for the ribbing, so they used black instead.
This one was lined in cotton in the opposite stretch for more support. The issue with this is the lining feels much tighter than the outer fabric, which has a too tall & loose look to most of it. I don’t think the opposing stretch works well for me, but honestly it looks/feels like they used two different sizes to make the inner and outer section. I have included a few photos of the bra on inside out to show the difference in tension. To compound the front oddity, the back also feels loose and my breasts pull the back and the side seams forward. This can be seen in the side view photos as the seams sit curved like ( instead of | that they are before putting the bra on. This does make the side seams rub the side of my breasts. It’s really as if they constructed the bra under the assumption of pendulous breasts, so you’ve got a scoop depth added in front instead of having the full depth at the apex. For me, this doesn’t work as I have perky implants and self supporting breasts for the most part, not pendulous in any way. I can see this feature being quite comfortable and less constrictive for those with pendulous breasts. While I feel it looks odd on my, it doesn’t affect comfort, and since I only bought it for sleeping, it will work beautifully. It’s just the esthetics that are lacking.
If I ordered the 100% cotton again, I would opt to skip the lining and order a cup size down (or even two) for light support instead. Otherwise, I would stick with the Cotton/Lycra blend as it feels more comfortable and has more hug and give. I would also order with shorter straps, as this length is a bit longer than I would prefer. Again, fine for sleeping, but longer than I need.

This bra was PERFECT for me while 8mos pregnant and immediately postpartum (12/2014 - 6/2015). Then I began losing weight and changing shape. It is too big for me now, but still provides adequate support, so I continue to wear it. I'm planning to send it in to Decent Exposures for alterations, they provide them for a nominal fee, as long as the fabric hasn't worn out on your bra! I love the company!! And this is the most comfortable and supportive non wired bra I've ever found in my size. Love it.

I wore nothing but decent exposures for year. i still have one that sort-of fits (in cotton lycra) that I wear sometimes, and i ordered a sleeved cami top, and then a bigger one - both in velour.

The velour is much less stretchy - i generally went up a cup size in the velour, even compared to the lined lycra. I actually have a bikini top from them, too - its not a perfect fit, but I wear it under a swim tank i got from lands end
also, they didnt have nursing flaps when I had my first two kids, but the lycra was easy enough to lift up or pull down, so I didnt bother w nursing flaps w my third kid either. so I've never used a real nursing bra! also didnt have nursing tops until my third - might've been easier with a nursing bra lol
One year ago, I purchased a 34C Unbra via Ebay. It was seriously small by two to three sizes. Spending $56 on a bra whose sizing I didn't comprehend, however, was a strong deterrent to purchasing another. So, I was thrilled to find one in the listings here. Decent Exposures recommends 30G for me, but this 30F allows my projected tissue to slump over the band and hang below my IMF. Yikes! Seriously, I would prefer no bra to this shape. Perhaps, because this bra was used, the material ...has lost some of its elasticity. It looks great and there is no pilling on the soft organic cotton surface. But, I definitely require a cup that allows less forward projection. It is likely the lined cotton/lycra material would be a better selection for my soft breast tissue. This cotton/lycra may be better for self-supporting breasts. Decent Exposures is customizable, and seven different materials are offered.
I feel like a broken record: "The Kindred Bravely Organic Cotton is a much better...." If only it was easier to put on and take off when wet. This is where Decent Exposures excels: it is much easier to remove when wet. The band is more stretchy and the more narrow elastic effortlessly stretches over shoulders. But, what I gained in removal ease, I lost in support. Sigh.
Although 30F is just one cup size larger than the 34C's sister size 30E, this 30F feels several sizes too large. It is possible the 34C NWT I purchased from EBay was a second. It was not marked as such. But, whoa how the sizing changed just one cup larger. Or, maybe the straps on this model are too long for my very short-waisted physique. Frankly, I'm more perplexed about Decent Exposures sizing than I was one year ago. And, a future $56 investment seems very unlikely.
The materials are soft, lightweight, and easy to wear. The style accommodates wide roots, center projection, immediate projection, and tall roots. The design seems more forgiving than that of Kindred Bravely's Organic Cotton Nursing Bra. And, the customizations Decent Exposures offers are a lifesaver for many of us. Read more 268 more words
This pullover bralette isn't going to win any prizes for appearance, but it's the most comfortable "comfort bra" I've ever worn. It's what I put on when I'm around the house and I need support and comfort. Basically, anywhere that someone with less heavy boobs would go braless, I wear this. I tend to have sensitive skin, and synthetic bra materials chafe me after awhile, so it's great to be able to change into soft cotton.
I'm adding this to Bratabase late - I was the right size for it when I got it 3 years ago, but I've grown several cup sizes since then (according to the ...size chart on their website, I should now be a 30I, not a 30F). So in the pics I'm too big for it. You can see that the bra is not giving me enough support anymore. I can still put it on and it's still quite comfortable, it's just letting me droop more than it should do. Back when I first got this bra, it held me in better, and I was comfortable wearing it out for short low-effort trips (to the corner store, etc.) I'd like to be able to do that again, so I've just ordered a larger size from Decent Exposures.
