I bought this and a 40JJ - Elomi » Kelly Plunge Bra to try to determine my size in this Elomi shape- similar to Matilda- as well as to see if I liked this particular bra. I bought an 40JJ - Elomi » Matilda Plunge Bra (8900) a year ago in 40JJ and it was too tall. I bought an 40J - Elomi » Tia Bandless Bra (4280) in 40J because the 40JJ - Elomi » Tia Bandless Bra (4280) was tall and just didn’t seem to fit as well as the 40J.
I feel like my ... conclusion after buying this bra is that I will generally fit a 40J in Elomi better, even though that size is generally too small in Panache and Curvy Kate. This is probably due to Elomi’s grading. After wearing the 40JJ over the 40J, there is really no difference in cut at the bottom of the cup for this bra. The bra is only bigger at the apex and top, and taller. Because I’m short rooted I can thus get away with a smaller size.
As far as this particular bra goes, fit is similar to Matilda or my 40JJ - Elomi » Sachi Plunge Bra. It’s wider and taller than 40JJ - Elomi » Kim Plunge Bra (4340) and the top fabric is not elasticized although there is a strip of loose elastic on the top. It does not dig in in either size.
The straps feature a racer back hook which is nice if you wear shirts like that. Band is firm, straps are Elomi’s usual comfortable stuff.
My favorite part of wearing this is the nice rounded shape I get in this bra.
I wanted this because of the beautiful fabric but it is a very scratchy mesh. Much itchier than Sachi’s fabric. I probably won’t wear it because of this so I’ll send it back.

Another gorgeous tropical pattern on you! So disappointed to read the mesh is scratchy. Do bra designers really select these irritating fabrics???
