Mariella is based on the popular Morgan cut, by elomi which is a full cup cut with stretch lace on top. I got the Mariella in the hidden tiger print from AW20 and it was more firmer wires than earlier versions. This bra fits me better than older versions of this bra I tried before. The bra feels very supportive and comfortable. The stretch lace is soft and adjusts to your shape. There is an elastic at the edge, it doesn't cut in too badly on me, but I see it could be a problem. I also think it could be removed easily. The bra is made of high quality ...woven fabric which feels very soft and silky. The fit is true to size, I get best fit with a 32 band and the JJ cup size. I tried J -cup before but it would cut in. It's a good bra if you are full on top, have a tall and slightly wide root like me. There is some projection to the cups but it's more bottom and side --- so it could be tricky for center-full or very projected boobs. I just get a away with it as the upper cup allows for extra room. This is my favorite bra for PMS as then it fits me best when other bras feel too small. The shape is then very round. On normal days I get a bit dropy shape as I don't fill out the top as much. Overall I highly recommend this bra. THe quality and support is outstanding and it's worth the money esp. in the size range on of the best options. Read more 165 more words
Glad it worked out for you. I love the print and wish it came in my size!
Yeah - I think I have to update, as I now struggle a bit with this bra. It gives me not the best uplift anymore sadly. I doubt it's already worn out as I only bought it in 2021 but what else would it be? :(
Elomi Eugenie bra is based on the Sachi / Soraya cut and it fits similarly to them. I usually would size up in this cut compared to Matilda (non stretch plunge which runs a bit big) and Mariella (stretchy lace cup) but with the size range ending at JJ I can't here. Matilda and Mariella are currently a bit too big on me in 32JJ which means Eugenie currently is spot on. The bra is very pretty black mesh cups covered in silver lace on the front. There are 2 extra straps at the gore for a really fancy look. It's one of the most extra styles from ...Elomi and I'm happy a style like this is available in a larger size range.
How it fits : currently I find it a decent fit on me, it feels firm and supportive! The cups are a bit shallow at the center and therefore I recommend sizing up if you can- on me the extra straps (which are stretchy btw) just cut in a little. I also have center full boobs. The cup height and width is just alright for me, the wires on this bra are firm wires which hold their shape, so it's the new Elomi wire!
Now one word about the fabric. I wore the bra like 3-4 times since I got it. I'm actually wearing it today. So at first the fabric didn't bother me. But today the front part where the lace is on top of the mesh it feels a bit itchy. If it felt like that when I tried it on the first time I probably wouldn't kept it. So be aware of that, it's not the softest fabric. If you dislike the front lace, try Sachi, it's the same style and cut without any extra lace. Also the lace is very delicate and it's recommended that you only handwash this bra carefully, just be aware of that. It's a high maintainance bra but it's also an extraordinary one and really pretty. Read more 227 more words
I purchased both the 32J - Elomi » Mariella Banded Bra (EL4420) and this bra shortly before the great Brastop escapade, when I was still on the fence about whether I needed to size up from a 32J UK. The 32JJ actually tacks, while the 32J in the peachy tiger colorway digs in a bit on top. It's supportive while still being comfortable--in fact, it's more comfortable than my 32JJ - Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) right now. If I find another colorway of the Mariella or the Elomi Morgan Banded Bra (4110) (basically the same bra) on sale, I'll probably pick one up in a 32JJ.
Finally I found the size that fits me in this bra. I had the 32J before which just wasn't good. The Matilda bra is Elomi's plunge cut with no stretch lace. I used to have issues with the gore being too low on this cut. It would poke me and there would be overspill at the centre. After recent size change I was without bras that fit me so I had to try new ones.
My shape: tall, narrow to average wide roots, full on top, projected, center heavy
In the 32JJ the gore fits much better, it's about 0.5-1cm taller than on 32J. Also since the bra cups ...are bigger, all my breast tissue is gathered in the cups and nothing spills over. So the gore cannot touch my breast tissue. I love this cut - it's so good for center full boobs but only if you can find the right size. Tall gores often bother me too but I prefer them since my boobs fall out of too low cut bras. But with this bra my boobs are fully supported. It's a very nice construction that gives a lot of support just from band and wire.
I find the band a bit stretchy for a 32 and think I would start to wear it on a tighter setting really soon. I tried out the racer back option but it gives me neck pain. Wearing the bra regularly feels very supportive but I have to shorten the straps a lot - I think they are generally bit longer to allow for the raceback option. I also have slight gaping at the band upper side on my back --- which wouldn't be there with racerback. As with all Elomis the wires are on the wider side. Since the bra is so supportive I will overlook it. Read more 197 more words
Elomi Lucie is a new style that came out in SS2020 in the color "meadow". The cut is the same as their other plunge bras and it has a stretch lace top, so it's similar to Kim and Charley. What makes it stand out to me is that it doesn't have a elastic strip at the cup edge, It's all smooth lace.
About the bra: The knitted fabric is super soft, satin-y feeling but not shiny and comfortable. The stretch lace is very soft but not flimsy, it does support well. There is a nice design feature that the band has a leo print on while the other lace ...on the bra is floral matching the print. At first I didn't even wanted to order this bra as it didn't impress me with it's floral pattern and black lace combo (boring) but it's actually very cute. I just wished they branched out and would have matched the lace to one of the flowers colors like that gorgeous sky blue, light pink or pale yellow. It would made it look more delicate and spring like than just add black lace. On the other side the black lace makes it look a bit more sexy.
My shape: tall, narrow to average wide roots, VERY full on top, projected, center heavy
Recently I had a bra and boob crisis. No bra fitted my PMS boobs. Then I got a few Elomis to try and there was the Lucie. When I put it on, it was bra love. It was relief and comfort and it fitted! No cutting in, no quadboob that I was so sick of - it just gave me a super rounded uplifted shape.
The wires are on the harder side for Elomi. They are the only wires that work for me. They are also a bit wide but I accept that. The cups are deep and have good projection at the wire and thanks to the stretch lace it is very roomy on top. Combined with the wider wires it gives a rather round but a bit closer to chest fit. Imo the best fit to support a large bust. The lower gore is a bit unusual to me but on this bra it doesn't hurt me.
It's safe to say that Lucie is my favorite Elomi bra so far. The size 32JJ is a perfect fit and even works better on my PMS boobs as I fill out the stretch lace more and my shape gets super round which I haven't seen in an Elomi bra before. This is the only bra of Elomi so far I'd call good for fot. (their other styles are wearable too but better suited for fob) I can't wait for new colors in this style. Read more 351 more words
This bra did just not work for me. It was the worst one out of all Elomi plunges that I have tried. So construction - wise I don't see much difference to their other plunges with stretch lace top. The cup material is very high quality, soft woven fabric and the stretchy lace isn't flimsy. The band feels firm and true to size. However when I wore this bra just for trial it was very uncomfortable. The underwire would dig in painfully into my ribs. This was the worst I experienced with Elomi plunges and I try to figure out why it happened with this bra but not like other ...Plunges like Matilda / Charley.
One reason could be that the wire is just the wrong shape for me. Elomi wires are very wide, and I thought I can get away with that. But I think with this contruction there are also other forces working against me. The top section is soft enough to shape my boobs nicely but it could be that the bra gets pushed down because 1. the wire is too wide and wrong shape 2. the cup is not projected enough so wire gets pushed down bc my boobs cannot fill the bottom? I don't know...
Anyway it's not a bad bra by any means. But you need to have to right shape for it, I say it's best wide root + slightly shallow FOB boobs. Don't try if your FOT, despite the stretchy lace. I kinda have a feeling the bra also failed because I am FOT. Read more 151 more words
Elomi Charley is based on the popular Matilda cut. There are two different plunge styles in the Charley range. The one with a stretchy lace top which comes in a solid color, and this one here which doesn't have a stretchy lace top and usually comes in a solid color with colorful floral embroiderie on top of the cup. The red color is gorgeous and I love the floral embroiderie.
My shape: tall, narrow to average wide roots, full on top, projected, center heavy
At first I had problems with the unusal lower gore - since I used to wear Balconettes or Full cups all the time, but I get ...used to it. It's actually nice not have a gore that almost comes too high. Some high gore also feel uncomfortable since my breast tissue almost touches. Usually if a bra has a too low gore, it cannot contain my center heavy boobs. That's why I used to stay away from Plunge bras in the past. But this bra - it's magic - can somehow do it.
The bra is very supportive and the cups contain my breast tissue at the center. Key to get a good fit is that the bra cannot be slightly too small. If you have overspill in this style - the gore will poke the overspilling breast tissue. Since it has no stretchy lace it's not good for my PMS fluctuations, but fits nicely on normal days. (I would need the stretch lace option for that, which I haven't tried yet) Also I'm so impressed just how well constructed this bra is - when I put it on I already feel what it does before I even put up the straps. The construction is really made to support even heavier boobs in larger cup sizes!
The cups are a bit wide but I don't feel like it causes problems. There is enough projection at the bottom so I don't get wrinkles. I think the cup shape is quite good if you have even - to fob shape and it can work also on fot but need to choose maybe 1 cup size up or go for the stretch version. I don't use the racerback option, since it gives me neck pain, the bra wears well if you don't use it. Read more 274 more words
So many pretty Elomi's but I'm not in the size range!
That color is stunning! All these pink and red bras you’re reviewing is making me want to branch out and get a red bra.
It’s so beautiful. This fall they are making it in navy with amber embroidery and although I’m not a huge fall fan, it’s so crisp nights and leaves looking that I will have to get it.
Interesting. I know my boobs are bigger than yours, so i would need to go up a size, but it doesnt look deep enough for me? and to size up i'd have to go up in the band. Probably a no - but looks good on you!
I think those Elomi wires kind of squash tissue to the side to create a more compact look whereas you’re used to that out front look that Ewa gives dbmamaz.
Yes, but even my panache tango seem deeper than that - which is why its the only non-ewa i own more than 1 of atm
dbmamaz The bra has good projection at the wire, it's in no way shallow, it's rather deep - but completely different from Ewa. It's wider and keeps your boobs closed to the chest while Ewa projects them forward.
Honestly prefer more the Elomi fit - even though Ewa / Polish fit would be more appropriate for my boob shape but it does not give me enough support. Elomi does.
cupandahalf I love the new navy colorway <3 Whole fall collection is quite nice as always Elomi does so well. I also loved the spring color of tahiti blue and hope to be able to find it anywhere.
dbmamaz i think what you are seeing is mostly a difference in the general cup shape. Your Tango has lots of forward projection whereas the Elomi is cut to have a more gradual slope. The Elomi has more depth but it’s aligned more vertically as it’s a plunge- basically the depth is more spread out across the chest versus pushed straight forward like in your Tango. It has less room at the top (more closed) as well to get that plunging shape without letting you fall out.
It’s just a different style, and some folks need that compression and close to the chest shape to be comfortable. It makes sense you like the Tango as it’s a very projected outward style just like your Ewas even though it’s not narrow like them.
I'm slightly confused how 'depth' can be spread out. i understand volume being spread out, but not depth.
The depth of the bra can be vertical as well as horizontal. Yes that means volume being in a different shape but we talk about cup depth...
But basically what I’m saying is your Tango is more like this < and the Elomi is more like this ( but in three dimensions. Similar cup volume but more spread out.
I wore this bra today. It's very close to chest fit. The cups are quite shallow. The cup edge does not cut in but I spill over a bit in height... its comfy and supportive but maybe 1/2 cup too small...
This bra seemed to fit pretty well at first, but I lost a lot of weight very quickly after buying it(I weighed about 203lbs on the day my order was delivered, as of about a week ago I am 188lbs). Even when I first got it there was some puckering towards the bottom of the cup, and I could tell the stretch lace on the top of the cup was hiding some fit issues. The wires are super wide - I've continued wearing it despite my weight loss for lack of other bras to wear, and I've had to use the tightest hook already and the wires go all the way to my back, which causes some awkward fitting. I would have to try it again in a 30JJ or 30K to comment better, I feel most of my fit issues with this bra are due to rapid weight loss changing my measurements noticeably, though the wires my extend a bit wide still.
Elomi Morgan is a full cup bras with the same cut as Elomi Cate, but it has a stretchy lace top. I tried this bra in the past in 32J but it was slightly small. Since I went up 1 cup size recently. I decided to give it chance again in 32JJ.
While the bra fits me size-wise and I have no quadboob or overspill - it is not the right construction for my boobs. The wires are too wide and I get wrinkling on the sides. The support is better than on the 34HH - Elomi » Lydia Bandless Bra (EL4390) which I think is because this bra has a full band for support. The bra is made of nice soft materials and feels high quality. I don't think that it's the best cut for by full on top shape with rather narrow roots. The bra seems to be best suited for a more wider full on bottom shape.
The Rosalind bra is like other plunge bras from Elomi in cut but it does not feature a stretchy lace. The material of the cups is sturdy but soft satin like fabric with a really nice floral print. Very high quality and comfortable to wear. I ordered a 32JJ because my usual size 32J was out of stock. But this bra was definitely too big, the cups were too tall, too wide and I had some extra room and wrinkling on top and on the sides. I really liked how the bra looks, but I don't know if it would work in another size, I think the 32J would be a better fit but still a bit too tall and wide for me.
The bra's wire width is ridiculous and it looks too shallow on bottom for you. I don't think would fit you in a 32J either if the bottom remains the same.
Sovavosi yes I also doubt it, so I won't try another of these. I might have to give up Elomi for now. The bras are so nice and high Quality, but they are often quite shallow at the center but combined with wide wires and tall cups = impossible to fit for me... like I need H-cup wires and cup height + JJ cup Depth. :S
Have you ever tried the Elomi Morgan? It's narrow (by UK standards, anyway) and has deep lower cups. Kim is narrow with more apex projection, and Mariella is like a cross between those two.
Pinniped Yes I tried both Morgan and Mariella. 32J - Elomi » Morgan Banded Bra (4110)32J - Elomi » Mariella Banded Bra (EL4420) The wires were still too wide for me. They were also much softer wires that would distort more easily, I did not feel that I got enough support from the wires in these bras. They were not bad but I'm very very sensitive when it comes to a bra just feeling somewhat weak and unsupportive... and if I feel too much pressure on my shoulder straps and not enough support from wire and band. I actually think I give up on Elomi for good... there will be some reviews from my recent haul but I think it's not worth it for me to try more.... :(
What can I say? I previously owned this bra in a 32H and 32J - Elomi » Sachi Plunge Bra (4350) when I was smaller. Now I've gained weight, and grabbed this in a 32JJ. This bra has been comfortable and a reliable fit for me in the sizes I've tried it in. May I never size out of it.
Glad it worked out for you. I love the print and wish it came in my size!
