I bought this as my first non-medical bra after surgery, and it worked very well for that. The wires on this bra are very soft and bendable. I call this a pudding wire. They are even a bit too wide for me. The cups are made out of the softest spacer fabric. It's like wearing clouds. Since the wires are so soft they won't dig in and hurt. The bra was comfy from the first wear! No need to break it in.
Since the wires are a little distorted with wear since they are so soft, the cups become more shallow. This created a bit of a pancake shape. It's not a bra for uplift and shape, it's a comfort bra with relaxed shape. I would recommend this if you like this shape and as an option to wear at home for comfort if you still need wires in your lounge bras. Also to everyone who needs very wide and soft wires.

If you try this bra with an extender I think the wires will fit a tad better. The band looks pretty tight in general. Or you could also try a 36F/FF, up to you.

    • Loxus I did not find the band too tight. There has to be some sort of tension on the band and the wires are so soft they will bend. I think it's meant to be this way for comfort. I will try with an extender to check.

At first I was very excited about this bra, seemed to fit very well and was comfortable. But then I noticed theres a bit of a shape mismatch, i had minor quad boob in the lower part of the cup but gaping at the top where the strap connects. Overall, I'll likely keep it because its very close, and supportive without underwire stabbing. I also do like the side panel shape.

The bra is very pretty, and looks much less sheer on than it does out of the box, which I appreciated.

The cups on this are much too short compared to any other 34G I've tried. It cuts hard across the breast tissue. It seems to be for much more shallow breasts? Or perhaps just shorter vertical roots? Not sure. I just know it's not for me at all. The fabric is also super itchy. I would not wear this as an every day bra, even if it did fit. :/ The straps have a j-hook option, but the straps don't seem like they could be long enough to comfortably use. Now that I think about it, this bra might be made for more petite frames with shorter torsos. Hope that helps!

I ordered the 34G and 34GG in this bra at the same time, hoping one of them would fit, but to no avail. The gore on this bra is very low and the cups too shallow for me. The gore tacks but I am getting "but crack cleavage" above it. Also, the 4 part cups are not deep enough and make my breasts look sort of square. The mesh-like fabric is too rough for my taste and uncomfortable. Between the 34G and the 34GG, I preferred the 34GG since it has 3 hooks per row and thus feels sturdier. The 34G only has 2 hooks per row. I will be returning this bra as it definitely doesn't fit in the cups, even though the band is comfortable.

I have had this bra for a few months now and I've found that I love the fit except its seems the cups have stretched out on the outside. By that I mean that there are noticeable gaps on the outside of my breasts. This is such huge let down because everything else is as close as I'll ever find. I do find that it comes up higher under my breast than I'm used to, so I often want to pull it down.

    • I actually looks too wide? Idk, thats why I havent tried many elomi

    • 1

I think it's the elastic they sew on the edges. Since it has a loose lace overlay on the back, the elastic isn't stretched much, meaning it doesn't dig in/gets loose. My Tia is the same way. However, it's my best fit and best shape so I'm living with it as it doesn't affect the support really.

    • 1

A bonus is it doesn't cut into my pecs right there though!

    • 1

This would be perfect for me as my breast tissue protests material tugging/straining across the upper-outer quadrant.

You could a a dart to remove the slack.

Beginning a new quest to find a well-fitting bra (thanks, middle-aged weight gain which I have admittedly done not much to combat lol). This is the best I've tried thus far.

Band: for me, this is snug on the loosest hooks but not uncomfortably so. I tried it with an extender on the tightest hook and that felt too loose, so.. snug it is for now. And at least it means it won't be unwearable when it stretches after wearing a bit.

Straps: these appear to be in a great position for me, not feeling like they're in danger of slipping down. I also like that it comes with a ... j-hook in case I'd like to wear it with a top with a more racerback style. They adjust plenty long enough for me, but I'm not terribly tall or low-rooted or anything so it's never really an issue.

Fabric: this was my biggest worry. It's sort of sheer, but not as see-through as it appears at first sight. I'm generally pretty sensitive about what fabrics feel comfortable enough to wear (so many pretty lace bras have gone immediately back for this reason). I've had this one on for several hours now and it's still not bothering me or feeling itchy, which is good. With it being essentially made of mesh, I'm hoping it will be light during the summer.

Wires: these are also not bothering me. I am happy to have the gore fairly low, as I am rather close-set and a higher gore tends to fit wonky - either not tacking, or having one wire sit on my sternum while the other is shunted off to rest on top of slightly-smaller-boob's tissue. With the gore being low, it fits right on my sternum. No uncomfortable poking. It's also not crazy low - I feel secure and not like the chesticles are escaping out the center, not even when I bend over. They're also not too high for me on the outside/underarm, which can also sometimes be an issue. If there was a way to make them just a teeny bit closer it would be perfection, but I can never seem to find wires close enough. It would essentially need to be a single wire in a rounded W-shape rather than two U-shapes next two each other.

Cups: another pretty solid "this works for me." I tend to lean towards lightly molded t-shirt bras (see my complaint about disliking itchy things to touch my skin lol), but those often leave me with space in the bottom of the cup. (I think this is due to not enough immediate projection on the part of the bra, but I'm not certain.) This bra is not molded or padded in anyway. The cups are non-stretch, so they do give support. They let my tissue settle in and fill the bottom (hooray for wires remaining where I put them!) The top doesn't cut in at all. It fits my slightly-larger side pretty perfectly, and while a tiny smidge loose on the other side, it's not enough to tell through a shirt. And honestly, I haven't done much strap adjusting, so I might get that side better the next time.

The top edge of the cup is less stretch than the lace that makes up most of it, which caused it to cut into my flesh in a way I didn't like. No so tight it changed how it felt, but it caused a noticable difference in the look

This bra is more comfortable than any other underwire I've ever worn! It also gave me lift and separation that I've never had from a bra before. And the mesh fabric seems to keep me cooler. It comes in a lot of pretty colors and designs. At first, I thought it was The One, but even from the beginning, the cups were a bit wrinkled at the top; I think I'm full on bottom. As I've worn it, I noticed that it's also wrinkled on the sides, even though I have some trouble scooping all of my larger breast into the cup. I've also tried the 34GG (my recommended size on Bratabase), but on that one, the wires seem too high in my armpits, and I still have wrinkling in the cups. So... I would definitely recommend this one, but the fit isn't quite right for me.

I was hoping this Elomi would fit similar to the Matilda, but it didn't work for me nearly as well. I think one problem is the fabric has less stretch, and therefore more fabric, and it fit me pretty baggy especially at the top of the cup. Most of the elasticity is in an elastic band the runs along the top of the cup, and that exasperated the spillage I tend to get near the gore with plunge bras, because it was cutting in specifically at the edge. It would likely work well for people with for even fullness, and the smooth fabric and lower profile seams seemed like they'd look good under thin shirts

I am currently 24 weeks pregnant and struggling with bra fit. For context, I was a 32FF for a couple of years prior to getting pregnant with little to no change. My favorite bras were the Cleo Maddie, Cleo Skye, and Panache Underwire Sport. My breasts have definitely grown throughout my 2nd trimester - I now measure a 34G/GG according to A Bra That Fits and my 32FF bras clearly don't fit well.

I opted to try the Elomi Smoothing Molded Nursing Bra in a 34G (UK) because I've heard your 2nd trimester size will often work after pregnancy while you are breastfeeding. We'll see if that's true but ... not with this particular bra.

    My problems with the bra:
    1. The wires are much wider than what I need. There's a good inch between the outer breast root and the underwire. This means that space is not available to my breast tissue and it makes the whole bra feel too small even though it isn't.
    2. I cannot get the underwire to sit in my IMF. It gets pushed down and wants to sit about 3 fingers (2") below where it should. Again, this means there is space that should be available in the cup that my breast tissue can't use.
    3. The wire/cup issue results in the gore floating off my chest about 1". That is not uncomfortable but it is definitely a sign that the fit is not proper.
    4. The sides of the bra rub underneath my armpit/tail of spence. I did try wearing this bra for a whole day - ended up with raw, irritated skin where the underwire hits my underarm area.
    5. The straps are a touch wider spaced than I would prefer. Not enough that I couldn't handle it if that was the only fit issue, but it adds another fit issue that makes wearing this bra frustrating.

I had never tried Elomi bras before because my pre-pregnancy size is just below the smallest size they typically offer. I hear great things about the brand and really wanted to like the bra so this was disappointing. I did try the bra in a couple of other sizes. In the next size up (34GG), I had many of the same fit issues as with the 34G except now I also had wrinkling in the top of the cup. In the sister size of 36FF, the scaling of the wires worked much better for me and my breasts could use more of the space but the 36 band is not supportive enough for me.

If Elomi bras normally work for you, the Elomi Smoothing Molded Nursing bra would be a great one to try. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it'll work for me.

I was so excited for this in the rosegold color which is a beautiful deep salmon. Unfortunately like most Elomi it just doesn’t play well with my center fullness. The cups are generously sized and they’re too large in any case.

I didn’t realize the cups are made of 2 different fabrics. The inner part is spacer while the outer part is smooth lustrous knitwear with a lace overlay. The band is firmer than most Elomi so I’d need 36F if the shape matched mine better.

    • It’s also available in a pretty plunge!

    • I tried the plunge too. It is really pretty and fits similar to Matilda except the elastic at the top cuts into my boobs a little too much. If it was just stretch lace without the elastic it probably would have been a keeper.

    • It’s super easy to take the elastic off if you have a seam ripper. Just FYI, I do it all the time with my Elomi plunges.

If you're looking for a bra to get in a size slightly too small to give you the push up look, this might be the one for you. It's lightly padded/lined and hikes the girls right up. For me the bra cuts in too much across the chest for any of my needs. I just wear t-shirts, so the quad boob is real with this one, but this is wildly not in my size, however, the SO liked the look of it when I tried it on.

First of all, this color is gorgeous. I would love the Elomi Kim in this color. Fabric doesn't feel as breathable as I'd like and the shape seems to push my breasts out to the sides, which is a really odd look for how close set my breasts are. It just looks very odd, and the gore is floating at the top since it's trying to wedge in where there's no space. Not a terrible fit. Does seem to chafe a bit around the sides and the band is too tight. It cuts lower than the 34GG does around the armpit area, which is nice. The cups are not wide enough for me though, and the bigger cup sizes have a higher cut around the armpit.

I really wanted to like this bra. It looks beautiful and has soft, satin-like fabric. I like the shape of the cups (full coverage, but the lace at the top makes them feel lighter) and the fact that the straps are attached to the center of the cups as opposed to far off to the sides. I own the very similar Elomi Caitlyn in 36FF and the band on that is too big so I thought I would try the 34G. The band is shorter, so it's a better fit. However, the gore sits on the side of my left breast (the bigger one) rather than flat in the center. This bra also makes the top of my left breast look squished and wrinkled. My right breast fits the cup just right, so I don't think going up a cup size will solve the issue as the right cup would probably be too big. Also, the underwires poke me under the arm - they are too wide for me.I will be returning this bra.

This just does not fit me, I'm not sure strapless is an option given my tall roots. The band is nice and tight and I think would provide good support if the cups fit. However, the cups dig in to the tops of my breasts and just give me a really funny shape. This in turn causes the wires to be forced down so it makes the band fit off too. Wish it would work because I need something for my wedding, but alas this is not an option for me. If you have tall/wide roots and pendulous breasts just avoid it all together...

This is my favorite every day bra. I can't use the hook system to create a racer-back as the straps are not long enough, I am very broad shouldered and it is not uncommon for straps to even be too short.

  20. Carmen Plunge Bra (4010)

Me: shallow, full on bottom, pendulous from weight loss, wide roots, short waisted, petite.

I am just about to be sized out of Elomi. 😭 My previous love was the @Elomi Rita in a 36G, because the wires didn't cut into my armpits like the 38G @Elomi Caitlyn. (I pretty much wait to get a new bra when I'm on the last hooks and the cups look like sad plastic grocery bags lol)

My previous experience with plunge bras has been limited to Wal-Mart plunge bras, which my boobs would always be trying to escape out of the center while the outer part of the cup would be empty toward ... the straps... And yet although I didn't know at the time, the cups were way too small for me. However, I really like the Carmen Plunge. Maybe it's because it's more like a full coverage bra, but with a lower gore. I really like the lower gore because on the Rita it would stab me. This bra is so comfy! I think it is because of how stretchy the band is. I was able to put it on the tightest hook comfortably.

When I wear the straps regularly, I have the same emptiness towards the outer part of the cup near the strap. I suspect that it's just part of the shape of my breasts. There is minimal quadding at the inner part of the cup, toward the gore that diminishes as the curve of the cup goes higher. When I wear the straps using the J-hook, there is more noticeable quadding toward the gore, but the outer part of the cup is filled more. But this means I have to loosen the straps so that it doesn't strangle my back/neck.

The fabric is a nice color for me, it almost matches my skin in Sand. But compared to the fabric of the Rita and Caitlyn, I kinda feel like I'm wearing furniture. It's a stiff fabric. Although the wires are the right width for my roots, there's wrinkling at the sides of the cup toward the top. I like that compared to the Rita and Caitlyn, when I move my arms forward in front of me, the outer part of the cup doesn't cut into my armpit.

Based on the fit of this bra, I'm starting to think I might have center fullness. Or that could just be the shallow shape. Overall I'm happy with this bra. It feels like a good every day bra. This is the most comfortable bra I've had yet.
