I also tried this bra in 32JJ and 34J, neither did work for me. The band on this 34J was too big and it would not feel supportive enough. The cups are quite wide as it's usual for Elomi bras, the top lace part is stretchy. The fit of the cups was okay for me. The biggest issue with this bra were the wires which hurt me very painfully. Even after just trying it on for a short time, the wires started to dig in under my boobs. I am really not sure why that happens, I assume it might be that this bra is too shallow in cups and my boobs pushed the cups down which ended up in it being painful to wear. So sadly this bra is just not for me.
Gives good shape and lift! Very comfortable to wear and it fits me perfectly! I’m generally not a fan of unlined bras because they don’t provide adequate shape for me personally, but this one does a fantastic job of that!
The gore sits flush with my breastbone and the underwire is wide, but it’s great if you have wide roots. This is my current daily go-to bra. Comes in a wide variety of colors which is a nice change of pace, and the embroidery on the upper part of the cups isn’t over the top, yet it still looks nice.
I’d recommend it if you’re full on bottom and ...with high, wide roots.
Cons: it claims that the embroidery and seams sit flat so that you can’t see the texture under a t-shirt or fitted blouse, but that hasn’t been my experience. As someone who used to exclusively wear molded-cup t-shirt bras, the texture is noticeable, but it’s not awful, and when worn with a top that has thicker material, like a sweater, you can’t see it at all.
Overall I’d still highly recommend it! Read more 77 more words
Hm. I’m not a fan of the fit in the larger size. The problem is, with the 34HH I get quad boob because of the elastic. It stays pretty close to my IMF.
With the 34J, my boobs still move up into the apex and have baggy room at the bottom. I think the wires are too wide and the cups are too big. I’m not a fan of the color either, I think beige shows way more flaws in the fit than darker colors. Probably sending this back.
My advice is to use a seam ripper with the smaller size and very delicately take the elastic off to top of the cups. Helps the fit for me a lot!
cupandahalf That’s actually great advice, I’ll have to give it a try! I noticed on your review for Kim that you said you liked Tia. I also wear Tia and I’ve noticed the stretch lace without the elastic band fits so much better. Seems less closed off.
Worked like a charm! Thanks again for the suggestion. :)
I had put this bra in the return pile after initially trying it on. I put it on again to measure and take photos, and I developed a better appreciation. It's not the most comfortable of bras, but man, does it support my boobs! They have never been so still while I am walking around. The bottom cups are solid beige material with a black lace overlay with a pretty pattern. The tops of the cups are non-stretch sheer mesh, which also extends down in an arc to the gore. The wires on this one are much wider than the other Elomis I have tried (Morgan and Matilda), going beyond my tissue, and it gives a wider, less forward-facing shape. Great uplift, though! It stayed almost put in the 34 inch band, but it was just a little too tight for me and got to digging in after a few minutes. An extender might improve things.
Yes, it's a little "cutesy", but it's summery and more importantly, IT FITS!! I don't have the super spread-out look that I get with the Etta, either. I get a nice, round, smooth and uplifted look in my t-shirt as well - makes me look smaller, too. Very pleased with this purchase!
*I tried the Morgan in a 34HH and a 34J with Amazon Prime Wardrobe*
The 34J was awful all around...wires were too wide, so it was baggy on the sides. Not enough projection, so the bottom had wrinkles. The only good part was the gore tacked, which is hard for me in Elomi bras with tall gores. It’s actually virtually impossible, so this was pretty impressive. It was just too massive. I can’t emphasize enough about the wires...JEEZ THEY WERE SO FREAKING WIDE. Looking at the pictures, so can definitely see it.
I was hoping the Morgan would work for me so I could buy a Mariella...but NOPE. Womp womp.
I keep looking at Elomis and realizing they just wont fit a small frame like mine. Who has boob at the back of their underarm?
The Elomi full cups like Morgan and Mariella - have the pudding wires, these are very soft easily stretching wires. So unless you really need very wide wires or just prefer soft wires to the harder ones - it won't work. I also tried sizing up to get more room but ended up with wrinkling on the side.
The plunges : Matilda, Charley and Lucie have the new more sturdy wires.
alisa I love how you called them pudding wires! 😂 They are very soft and pliable compared to the Matilda/Charley/Lucie (which all work for me pretty well, except Charley). I’ll definitely keep that in mind!
pretty_promise I thought the term fits :D Matilda and Lucie are my faves. Charley is good too but more shallow in cup compared to the 2 above.
Meredith is based on the Morgan, and therefore fits very similarly. The fabric is quite different, however, being more of a sturdy, thick, solid colored fabric. It has what ti calls pinhole mesh, which is supposed to make it more breathable. It's not particularly pretty, but it is quite comfortable.
Something interesting is going on at the gore, however. I think all the Elomis I have measured (a lot) have had a 0.75 cup separation. Meredith is narrower, at 0.6. Not the wires themselves, but the wire channels actually overlap just a bit! This is good news for center-full ladies! Another interesting structural feature, also found in the Charley, is that the band is not continuous. There are two separate elastic pieces that cross at the gore, but do not attach to the opposite cups. Rather, there is a piece of vertical boning in the gore, and the band elastics attach to that. This leads to a higher, more V-shaped arch in the gore, which I found more comfortable.
I really WANT to like this bra. It's pretty, and the fabric & general construction of the bra is really high quality. I've never had an issue with the quality of Elomi bras, but this one is really nice. The fabric on the cups just FEELS sturdy. I also like how much fabric is on the band underneath the cups. A lot of people with my figure like bandless bras so the fabric doesn't bunch up; I find having a lot of strong fabric down there also eliminates the problem. It does make my stomach look rather odd in the front facing picture, but I didn't notice it ...under clothing.
I love the rounded, forward and natural shape I get from this bra. It's not an east-west shape, but my breasts aren't as HELLO HI HOW ARE YOU DO YOU SEE ME????!!! as they can be in an Ewa bra. The wires are perfectly narrow and low, which helps make up for their length. By my eye they look to be pretty much in the middle of my arm pit, but I didn't feel them at all.
Obviously, the bra doesn't quite accommodate for my center-fullness. There's a tiny bit of breast poking out over where the cup and gore meet. A little more stretch lace here would solve the problem, I think. I did the shake and jump test and no more tissue spilled out. If this was my biggest problem with the bra, I'd keep it.
What makes the bra unwearable for me is the in-cup quadding. I attribute it to the elastic at the very top of the cup. With my soft tissue, it's like snapping a rubber band against arm fat (not the pain part, but how the rubber band causes indents in the skin). I really couldn't get a good picture of it, but that is the perfect simile. I am tempted to remove the elastic somehow, but I'm not sure what that would do to the shape. If I ever see one of these on sale I might try it, but I'm not willing to alter a $66 bra.
I think this bra would work well for someone in my range who need narrow wires, but has tissue that's less soft, less center-full or perhaps just a smidge fuller on top. Read more 277 more words
Wow, pretty and theoretically my size but it doesnt look projected enough. Or really big enough. I mean, I wear 32JJ in panache, you'd think that would be big enough. I just dont see it.
Thanks for reviewing and measuring. Do you find the band tts? I was considering getting it but I'm in between 38 and 40 and not sure how the band material stretched considering it's the same as the cup.
Adorable colors :-) :-)
cupandahalf The band was firm but stretched without feeling like it was about to rip out the hooks or anything. I had it on the second row of hooks here. I'd buy it in a 32JJ if I could. IME Elomi bands stretch out pretty well so I would err on the side of 38. Sorry I didn't take a stretched band measurement, but I try not to in bras I know I'm going to return.
dbmamaz I wanna say maybe because the fit was very forgiving. If it helps, I comfortably wear a 34J in Panache and find a 34JJ to be big in the cup and especially the band.
Matilda is great! I had this one when u was my old size, so now it’s too big. I’ve ordered a new one in my new size and fortunately I’m not sized out of it (yet).

Cate in the guava colorway is bright and festive. It is not ornate, but pretty enough and quite comfortable. I personally don't like the shape it gives, though.
Cate has smooth, satiny bottoms with non-stretch lace uppers with a pattern of tall arches. The gore is a breathable mesh. The straps are ridged on the top surface, felted below. They are fully adjustable, but keep in mind that when tightened, the ridges on the top wrap around to the bottom, which may be uncomfortable if you have sensitivities. The cup of the cups is more triangular on top, giving quite full coverage. Cate also appears to have more fabric in the upper cup than some other models, leading to a lower apex. On me, this leads to a cone shape that I can certainly do without. Cate also is wider in the cup and gives a wider profile than the Morgan or Kim.
Mia is based on the Matilda, and not surprisingly the fit is similar. The largest difference is in the fabrics, with Matilda being a delicate mesh with an embroidered pattern of dots arching gracefully from the tops of the cups down the gore and Mia being more just a basic workhorse bra with sturdy, heavy fabric lined with mesh and non-stretch mesh uppers. Not much in the way of design, beyond a keyhole opening in the gore and a plain silver pendant handing from a square-shaped bow. The top cups have an elastic edging and the straps are fully adjustable.
Charley has a four part cup construction with a side-support panel. The top is a non-stretch mesh panel with an elastic strip on the top edge. This model has pretty meadow flowers embroidered on the top mesh. The bottom cups are a lined mesh covered with a diamond pattern netting that is a little scratchy at first, but not bothersome under clothes, *except* that the band rolled under within just a few minutes of putting it on, and so the scratchy netting was abrasive under the wire. The straps come with a built-in J hook for wearing in racerback style if desired.
Shapewise, the cup is slightly narrower than the Matilda's and the cup slightly deeper, just a hair more projected maybe. I had a little more wrinkling in the cups which makes me suspect I could size down, and that may be why I felt like the apex was sitting just a little lower than on Matilda. Otherwise very similar.
I first bought a Matilda in 36HH and had the same issue with the band being too stretchy and riding up that I have had with other Elomis. The bra fitter at Nordstrom's recommended I don't try to size up a cup, and I think she was right. In fact, I'm almost wondering if I could size *down* a cup, since this one is still a little droopy shaped. But surely a 34HH would be too small?
I like the look of the Matilda and find it scratchy when I first put it on, but then really comfortable as soon as my body adjusts to the fabric. I ...find Elomis more comfortable than Panaches generally and don't have the problems with the wires going too high, even though the wing height is one of the taller ones I've tried.
The Matilda is a four-part cup with sheer, non-stretchy mesh on each panel. The top panel with the embroidered decoration is a finer mesh and the side support panel appears to be reinforced with a second ply. The mesh on the wings is stretchy. Elomis always have really nice, soft felt covering the wires, band, and straps. Oh, the Matilda also has a built-in J-hook to wear the straps in a racerback configuration. Read more 104 more words
I keep coming back to Morgan. The 36HH - Elomi » Morgan Banded Bra (4110) was the first bra I kept from Nordstrom's at the beginning of this journey, and I've tried it also in 34JJ - Elomi » Morgan Banded Bra (4110). The 36HH didn't quite tack and the band rode up, so I initally thought the smaller band/bigger cup of the 34JJ was better. But when I went back to Nordstrom's, the fitter convinced me to try this 34J. Even though it has the same volume as the 36HH, this one does tack. It seems like the best size for me in Morgan so far, but I am concerned that the cups might be just a smidge tight.
I tried this bra in 34HH and 36H and found that the upper cup edge cut in somewhat, so I tried this size. It seemed to fit well when I tried it on, but on further wearing the cup is too big. The armpit edge cuts into my tail of spence. Also this bra might be less stretchy than the 34HH which was great except for the quadding. Using an extender helps a little with comfort but not quite enough.
Me: Pendulous, center-full, need a lot of projection, soft tissue.
The band is surprisingly firm. Most Elomi bands run large or stretchy in my experience. Maybe this one would stretch out with wear, I'm not sure.
The wires are short enough that their width wouldn't really bother me. They didn't feel pokey at all, despite ending more past my arm pit than before it. Unfortunately, the wide wires and the wide gore do not suit my shape. The gore didn't tack at all and mostly just sat on my center-full breast tissue. I also got a really unflattering east-west shape. I imagine this bra could be good for a lot of people in the small band, large cup range, but not me unfortunately.
This bra technically fits, but the wires are awfully wide for me. It is comfortable and reasonably supportive, but it gives me a matronly shape and doesn't really flatter me.
pros + very comfortable AND supportive + soft and smooth fabric + strong wires + padded wire channels + comes in pretty colors
cons - very very wide wires - band feels a bit loose, wearing it on tightest setting (I'd prefer a 32 band) - fabric comes up very high, no bra for low cut tops - gore is a bit wide... does float about 0.5cm away on top but that's because my boobs are very close set.
I really like this bra! It used to fit me best when I was carrying a few extra pounds. Now I feel that the band is a bit too big and there is some slight ...gaping on top where the cups meet the straps. The wires are like all Elomi wires much too wide on me! There is about 1.5-2cm empty fabric on the side. Despite those issues it's still a very supportive bra. It's also one of the most comfortable bras I've ever tried. It supports me when I am active but I can also take a nap in it without any discomfort. I could even use it as a sleep bra, I think. I barely feel the wires! The shoulder straps are wide and fully adjustable. The shape is okay, not pointy but also not very uplifted. It makes boobs look more wide from the front and less projected from the side. Aw sorry it didn’t work out for you. It’s such a cute bra!
