I wear this bra with an extender on the loosest setting and it's pretty comfortable. Wires are too wide but the gore tacks and it sits very close to my IMF that it is comfortable enough for me. At first the fabric was a bit scratchy but after wearing it (and washing) it softens up quite a bit and it's a good good-enough bra for me with my omega shaped breasts. I did rip a tiny hole in the mesh while trying to adjust it so it's not super durable, but that was after several months of wearing only this bra.
This bra is just overall too big for me. The wires are much too wide and not quite firm enough (they go all the way behind my underarm). The gore doesn't tack. I'll admit that it's comfortable, but it doesn't give the support I need, and the band is always riding up even on the smallest clasp. Even though it's too big, I still get a bit of quadboob. The cups aren't deep enough for me. I'm not a fan of this bra. I need something with narrow wires and deeper cups.
Edit: Ugh! I was trying to add this under My Bras, measurements for the data base and Fitting Help. I messed up somehow.
My breasts keep growing so it's time to buy new bras as my others are getting small in the cups. My old style (Fantasia Belle in 32J) has been discontinued so I'm looking for a new style and new size. I've been ordering on-line and returning what doesn't fit. This Elomi Rita is the only one of ~50 bras that I'm thinking about keeping because it's the only one that lays flat against my sternum and separates my large, close-set ...breasts (which is important to me as I get a rash if my breasts touch for long).
I love the look and feel of this bra (sturdy feeling material but doesn't feel so thick that it would be hot in summer). Unfortunately, I think the size or style may be wrong for me. (My rib measurement is 32 loose, 33 comfortably snug, ~34 loose. Bust is 45 inches. Upper bust is 40 inches.) In 34 band the band feels comfortably snug. (I like snug for good support.) I think 32 would be too tight. I am going to try 36 in my next order just to be sure 34 is what I need.
In the 34K, the wires are too wide and go too far back. When I first tired on the bra, the wires tipped in on my back and was slightly uncomfortable even after the scoop & swoop. There's a little extra fabric at the sides of my breasts even though without a bra I have a lot of breast tissue in that location. The band fabric where it meets the cup is too wide/tall for me and goes up into my armpit. I had to shorten the straps so much that the clip to convert the straps are now in front of my shoulders. (I'm 5' 4-1/2 inches and don't think I have a short torso but maybe I do?)
A few days later I tried it on again. In the mirror, I can see that the wire tips push into my flesh but I didn't feel it this time. I wore it comfortably for a few hours while sitting at the computer but not sure this is the right size for me. I'm going to try other band and cup sizes and hope I find the size that I need because this is a nice bra that comes in some beautiful colors.
While doing the stretched band measurement for this bra, I realized that stretching it from the relaxed length to 33" (my ribcage) distorts the wires. So maybe a 36" band would be better for a 33" ribcage. Read more 374 more words
When you have the bra on your body, the weight of your breasts should be pulling on the wires in the opposite direction, so in that sense the distortion might actually not be as bad as it seems.
Forgot to add: this, of course, does not mean that the wires may not be too wide for you or that a 36 band could not work ...
Pros: -Comfortable, nice material makes it a terrific everyday bra -Decent shape -Big, generous deep cups -Very supportive
Cons: -Straps are kind of rough around the edges, they could definitely do with being wider and/or padded -Band seems stretchy
Cons for me: -Underwire digs into my ribs a bit. May be because of too large of band
I really like these bras. I have bought several in differing sizes and I always return to it because it's so comfortable to wear even in the wrong size! And it's very supportive. I feel like my girls aren't going anywhere. However, the band rides up a bit in the back for me, I have gaps between the top ...of the breast and the straps, and tightening the straps to eliminate the gap makes the whole bra really tight, so tight it's like trying to put on a 30 band on me (my underbust is 31 inches).
Yet it still rides up. So I think this bra would work better for me in a 32KK but elomi unfortunately does not go up that high. I doubt it would fix the gap and the underwires adding uncomfortable pressure to me may or may not be fixed by this. My breasts are also too close together for this bra for it to ever sit on my sternum I've learned now. Still, it's silky and comfortable and provides a sturdy, decent, if slightly pointed shape so I will still wear this until I find something better.
This is the only @Elomi I own. The cups of this bra are not a rounded as most @Elomis so this fits well. There is gapping on the upper sides of the cups because I do not have a lot of side boob but the gapping is only noticeable to me. I do get a slight quadboob with this bra because of the angle of the cups. This bra is just ok.
This bra is pretty, for a fairly basic bra. Three of the four cup sections are smooth satin with the upper part mesh with embroidery and the band mesh. Like most (all?) Elomi bras, it gives a somewhat wide and downward slanted ("natural-looking" ) shape.
It is fairly comfortable, though the bit of band under the cups immediately rolls up.
I really can't figure out what's going on with the fit of this bra, neither size 34K nor 34JJ seems to be quite right. I appreciate that this one comes in a 34K, unlike many other Elomi bras, but I think I still need another band size smaller. Or else for the band not to be so stretchy. I think the 34K I tried on was more stretched out than the 34JJ, so that explains some of the band-fit difference.
