The Amelia is a very basic bra. It's simple and nice looking, seemingly designed for comfort and disappearance under clothes rather than to be sexy. Nevertheless, it's become one of my favorites. The lined fabric is smooth under thin shirts, the straps are soft, fully-adjustable, and leotard-set in the back to prevent slipping, the wires are shallow and wide, and the band is flared to allow for a better fit at the top and bottom of the band. I was initially concerned that it was a bit too separate in the gore for my boobs, but because the gore is low, that really hasn't been a problem at ...all.
In short, highly recommended for others who need wider wires and shallower-shaped cups. I took the advice of the other reviewer who suggests considering a cup size down, and that worked well.
My only complaint is that the band fits on the large size. I have a lot of 36 bands, but this one is quite stretchy and on the edge of too big. The middle and last sets of hooks work, though, so I'm going to hope that it doesn't stretch out too quickly. I wish wish wish that this bra came in more cup sizes in 34; then, it would be basically perfect. Read more 104 more words
Love the stretch lace on the top of the bra cup. This is a beautiful, comfortable bra whose straps always feel just a touch too wide for me. Seams are visible through clothing, so this is definitely not an everyday t-shirt bra. Love the colors and pattern!
A couple of great things about this bra: It has wider shoulder straps that adjust all the way up and down and are set closer in the back, and it's cut with a substantially flared band. These features are fantastic if you happen to be petite or have a flared ribcage like I do. The plunge gore is low and closely set, and while I was worried that the polka dot netting was going to feel stiff and uncomfortable, it seemed okay while it was on. The Betty won't be the softest, most comfortable bra, but it's also super-cute. Love the polka dots and the rose embroidery! I ...especially like the subtle embroidery in the navy color.
Unfortunately, I think I really need a 34DD that doesn't exist. The wires are a good width (ie, very wide) and the cups are reasonably shallow, both of which are great... but the cups are also a bit big all over. I'm full on the bottom and pretty much fill out the base of the cups, but the tops have far too much room. The bottom of the band works on the tightest hook, but the flared top of the band gaps.
Bah, Elomi. I have been searching for this shape for what feels like a looooong time. Here it is, but not in my size. Sadness. (Anyone have any suggestions for similarly cut bras that do come in 34 band sizes? Please send them my way and I will be VERY grateful.) Read more 140 more words
I would suggest trying Freya Offbeat Unlined bras as it’s best for shallow breasts
