The Lydia is a comfortable bra. It's smooth and silky to the touch, the band is comfortably stretchy with some firmness and the wires feel neither too soft nor too firm. After having worn it for a couple of days, the band did stretch out quite a bit and I should've exchanged it for the sibling size down, but it will still work well as an at home/office/comfort bra. The wires are too wide and the cups too shallow but i knew they would be but it doesn't cause discomfort and I'm mostly okay with that. The gore tacks, but it's a soft tack and I sometimes get ...a little bit of floating but I'm okay with that as well in this case. It was a moderately cheap bra and as such I don't expect excellent fit. Paying double for an Ewa that also doesn't fit but in other ways was not appealing at this time. As with the Elomi Matilda, the Lydia runs big in my cup size, my standardised is 38K and this is a 38J.
Edit: With the J hook closed it fits better and the band sits in place. I should also add that out of all the bras I've ever had, this one causes the least pain from prolonged wear. Even in the most well-fitting bra I get pain after a few hours, especially from sitting down, but the Lydia has been relatively painfree so far. Read more 132 more words
I got this bra in an exchange. I have been curious about the fit of the Elomi plunge bras up to JJ cup. I never had a plunge bra that worked for me in the past. The problem has always been that they are too weak and my boobs fell out of the bra at the gore.
The Orla is made from high quality material that Elomi is known for. The fabric is very soft and satin like. The support is awesome for a plunge bra. The wires are a good width for me, but it is a J ...cup after all. So I guess if this bra came in K cup, the wires would be a bit too wide for me like all Elomi wires. But that does not affect the fit, just gives less front projection.
38J is not the ideal size for me. The band was much too big and rode up. I had to alter it down to fit my 34 inch (85cm) ribcage. The cups do fit a bit small (I usually wear 34L). I'm impressed that the bra holds up and supports my boobs very well despite the low gore. Even though it's not a perfect fit, I will wear this bra with some lower cut tops. I'm glad that there is one plunge bra out there that I can make work for me. Read more 131 more words
I've only had this bra for two days, and it's already my new favorite. I think it just might be the most supportive and comfortable bra I have ever owned. As soon as I put it on and adjusted the straps, it eliminated the strain of my breasts on my upper back and I actually sighed in relief. I didn't think it could get any better, but then I fastened the J-hook and I swear I heard angels sing. My breasts felt completely weightless. Seriously, that tiny little J-hook makes a world of difference. I wish all bras came with one of these hooks!
The band is firm, which ...probably accounts for much of the support this bra provides. The cups are definitely full coverage (my breast tissue is completely enclosed by the cups!), so I have to be careful about which tops I wear with this bra so the cups don't peek out. Also, the seams on the scalloping along the top of the cups do tend to show on the shirts I wear--but I wouldn't say it's as noticeable as the detailing on the Elomi Caitlyn. Like the other Elomi bras I own, this one does separate my breasts more than I would prefer. But these things are only minor inconveniences, and the fact that the bra is so comfortable and supportive completely makes up for it in my opinion.
In short, I'm crazy about this bra. I think every woman with large and heavy breasts should own at least one. I'm already planning to buy it in other colors https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 159 more words
Me: Need the width of ~30HH Panache wires but a 38 band and a JJ cup depth. Whee! I'm super omega shaped! Obviously I'm quite projected, my roots are only about 4 inches tall, and my breasts touch at a little less than 3 inches up my midline. So essentially, I have long breasts. Full on top, high set, close set. Basically I am a walking fit problem.
So this bra is pretty great for me. I need to replace the wires, but you know me, I do that all the time ...anyway. The depth is just about right. The stretch lace adds some room. Like most Elomis, this one has the depth of a 38JJ Panache or Curvy Kate bra. The wires started molding to my body and bending back as soon as I tried it on. That's an Elomi characteristic. I don't like it, but since I'm replacing the wires anyway, whatever.
I like the coverage of this bra. It's nearly full coverage on me. As you can see, most of my tissue is encapsulated within the bra. I will always have that gap there at the strap due to my short omega roots. If I get more lift, my breasts actually fold over my chest, which is pretty ugly. The lift is about the max I can take without the folding. I think there is enough room at the bottom and enough projection, which is necessary for me. On a woman with taller roots/lower set boobs, it might be more plunging and give less coverage, but for me it acts as a full coverage bra, not a plunge. Which is typical for me. Comexim makes the only bra I would actually call a plunge on me. The Maya is elasticized at the top which does cut in a tiny bit, but I don't mind. In 38JJ - Elomi » Maya Plunge Bra (4210) the lace was not taut and didn't shape as well. When I change out the wires I will also get a bit more depth to the front which will probably be perfect.
At first the band was very tight, but after one wear it loosened quite a bit. Measurements were taken after I put on the band, so it probably measured closer to 38 when I first tried it. My underbust measurements vacillate between 38 and 40 so it's perfect.
I LOVE the bow with its bird charm. I love birds and the charm is amazing. Love that Elomi puts that much detail into its bras. The print is a little kitchy for me. Ditsy florals aren't really it. The pink is definitely pink, not peachy or softly pink, but a bright pink. I'm not super down with it, but I need a bra. It also shows up a lot under clothing. I like the 36JJ - Elomi » Lottie Plunge Bra (4180) better for its pattern and color (a more peachy color and even the printed bra blends into my skin color pretty well). I will probably buy the Lottie on ebay in 38J as well. After growing a cup size or two since December, I really need bras that don't hurt my IMF or sag. I'm hoping this will be one. I'll update when I've worn it a bit more. Read more 602 more words
Isn't the fabric nice? I loved the bird charm, too. Can you describe more about what you mean by "the wires bending back and conforming to [your] body"?
So on almost all the Elomi bras I've ever had, as soon as I put on the bra the wires, which are fairly soft, they begin to mold to the body, often bending back with the band. I had one bra where the wires were wider by an inch after I had worn it for 30 mins. Some folks love this aspect of Elomi wires, but I find it painful (digs into my armpit fluff) and that it contributes to a poor fit for me. I had a 38HH Rita that fit really well when I put it on but then gave me cone boob the longer I wore it. Once I replaced the wires with narrower ones, the cone boob disappeared. I've also seen ladies complaining about Eveden bras (Freya, Fantasie, Elomi) having a gore that juts out after wearing the bra for a while. My Elomi bras did this too. It was caused by the wires warping over time, being pushed out by my centerful tissue and just staying like that. Once I replaced the wires, the gore tacked just fine. Again, on some folks the soft wires are great. I have super heavy boobs that need serious firm wires.
But yeah, why can't Elomi always use these soft fabrics? Glorious.
You can see what I mean about the wires in this album, where I did some bralterations on my Elomi Amelia: http://bra.pe/XTcQ/pictures/
This bra feels comfortable and supportive. I bought a 38J because I need the cup volume of a 34KK and this bra stops at a J-cup. I need to wear the band on the tightest setting. The band does not ride up but I have some weird empty fabric on the bottom and sides of the cups. Also I find it kinda generous on top, would have even a bit of spare room there. I will try the 36J because this bra is 1 cup and 1 band size too big for me.
Thank you for posting this. I wasn’t really sure what exactly was causing cup wrinkling on my other bras, tried sizing down then back up. I got a pretty close fit in Matilda but noted wrinkling despite the cups being filled. I think we have a similar shape and I saw that EM bras work really well so am going to try giving them another go
This bra is comfortable, but I think only because of the racerback clip. The cups are way too wide (ending behind my arms).
After wearing this a few times, I've come to the conclusion that it just doesn't work for me. Without the racerback clip, the cups and straps are too big. With the racerback clip it pulls on my neck and shoulders.
I tried this bra because I really liked the J Hook feature. Unfortunately, it does not come in a 36JJ that is why I went with a 38J. The band was just TOO BIG! The wires were poking me in the arms and there was absolutely no support what's so ever. I'm really bummed this didn't work out.
I wish I could have found a 36JJ, but this is my favourite bra right now. I guess I'll just have to alter the band eventually and I wear it on the tightest setting in the meantime. It actually tacks, which is very rare for me. No quadboob, perfect width, super comfy AND it's not ugly.
38J, I think the gore may be too wide for me, but I'd like to try a larger cup size if I can find it. I measured the gore height to be 3.5", and the cup separation as 1.25".
This bra was the right size, but the cups came up way too high in front for my preference--they were almost at my clavicle! This wasn't a good shape for my full on top boobs, too triangular and too separated. The material was very stiff and a little scratchy; not as luxurious as the Valentina bra.
Kind of a basic looking bra. Gives good support and shape even though the cups are too big for me. Seems comfortable but I didn't wear it long-term. Nice, soft fabric. Definitely a full-coverage bra. Comes up pretty high so it's not good for low-cut shirts. This seems like a great everyday bra for a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl.
Mmm, not bad. Interesting to think of as an option, i guess.
