This 40HH - Elomi » Persia Bandless Bra (8850) bra holds my full boob in the cup with no slop at the top, very little breast to chest at the bottom, no arm poking at the side and it really meets my chest in the middle. I wore the bra from about 8 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. I usually shed bras pretty quickly. Most Elomi's I own start to become uncomfortable between 5 and 8 hours. This is tighter that I have been wearing, mainly to accommodate cup size, but maybe I've lost some around ...the back. I am glad to find that this bra can make it beyond all day on the first wear.
Cups are very thin fabric and the bold patter will limit it's use under thin fabrics, but it sure is pretty. It's also kind of garish and out of my color scheme. I love color, though, so it's a lot of fun, but I had to keep my sweater buttoned all day (I'm a school principal so I try to not have provocative lingerie showing though my clothing.
it's new, so it may or may not stretch out, it definitely has molded to my chest a bit and eased over the back, but I haven't found extreme stretching out of shape to be a problem with Elomi. I picked up one of a similar or the same style on sale a few years back and the band rolled terribly, something to do with my back folds and bad fit, no doubt. None of that.
I expect it will hold up well with washing, but I almost always hand wash my bras.
Oh! I haven't come by any other styles yet that fit as well as this one. After settling into the cups, there is no noticeably gapping on my small side nor any noticeable cutting in on my large size. Amazing.
While it isn’t nearly as plunge-y as the (admittedly less well-fitting) Cacique bras I’ve worn in the past, I do really appreciate the low center gore … it does allow me to wear a modest scoop- or v-neck. Most bras in my size want to peek out of any moderate or low neckline https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> They tend to feature excessive coverage, in my opinion, ...and tall center gores that can be a bit uncomfortable when they fully tack. The 40HH - Elomi » Betty Plunge Bra (8170) allows me to me to wear quite a few garments (though no deep Vs or deep, wide scoops) that cannot be worn with my 42GG - Elomi » Caitlyn Underwire Side Support (8030) , 42H - Goddess » Rose Banded Underwire (6080) , or 42GG - Panache » Tango Ii Balconette (3251) and for this I am very grateful.
Are the the wires a smidge too wide and do the cups rub the front of my armpits just a little? Well, yes. But these are minor quibbles. This bra fits pretty darn well and lets me wear some of my favorite clothes. Read more 132 more words
Ooo, this is a bra frame I probably would have settled for if I hadn't already seen the difference Ewa Michalak bras make with the size of their wires. These wires are too wide and tall for me. The straps also don't adjust all the way, which feels weird. High roots beware. This colorway is very cute. The cups aren't quite deep enough for me. I'm still getting the tissue fold over issue on the outer side. I really don't like how all these "side support" style bras just shove tissue to the sides. Seems like the intent is for the opposite to happen. I know it's a cup depth issue.
Technically this swimsuit is two cup sizes too small. With Panache swimsuits I prefer this as they are stretchy and unlined. However Elomi swim is lined! I will say the construction is high quality. The straps are so comfortable compared to Panache and Freya.
The gore does not tack. This is due to cup depth at the apex not being sufficient. Because it's a swimsuit this doesn't bother me. The only problem is if water goes down it it can pull the gore down a bit which is uncomfortable. I might replace the wires to see if it helps but as the cups are quite narrow and short at the sides (for an Elomi of this size) it might not help much. It does hold everything in place well for swimming, even with my rambunctious kids.
The print is an absolutely gorgeous multicolored shell print. My son for some reason thinks it's great (that's a first!). My daughter thinks it's so great I'm getting her a matching one in 36F. As Adore Delano would say, "I'm a goddamn mermaid!"
Heartwarming :-) You both will be gorgeous at the pool!
It really is amazing because previously she said she didn't like my style. I think she's at the age she's trying to differentiate herself from me. I told her we should wear it different days and try to confuse the pool staff. ;)
What a gorgeous print! I'm sure you'll both look awesome in it!
GORGEOUS PRINT! I'm not a huge fan of prints, but this one is awesome!
This bra is pretty off and on, but pretty comes at a price. The mesh is a bit rough and if not properly adjusted can cause "sawing" at the bottom. Like all Elomi's it pouches out on the sides for me, giving that Yaya Han effect (too round, looks fake). so that the boobs are pushed out onto my arms when typing, etc. They don't poke under the arms, but the wire kind of rubs my arms if I don't have on clothes. With clothes it is fine.
The cups are almost a fit, but just tight enough at the top to cause the ghost of quad-boob. It's not noticeable under clothing.
I would not keep this except for the fact that the color is MINE! and I need a true plunge bra. This color is on the way out, but purple came in for fall, so...
I've got this one, and I'm still debating whether or not to keep it. I THOUGHT while trying on in stores that Elomi was perfect for my shape, but when I got home I realized they all give me the upside down 7 shape. I got a 34GG and took in the band -- and now I'm quadding in it. For now, it's the only plunge bra I have. But man... I was so disappointed. Can't even return it since I altered it.
In general Elomi's are my best fit as well but I really hate the "side slings." Your description as "pouching out at the sides" is really perfect.
I am in your general size range but have trouble with plunges because I am older and have very soft tissue. I would also suggest that you try Elomi Bras on the "Abi/Maggie/Eva/Yolanda frame. These have gore heights between the plunges and the Kaitlyn, Libby, Renee, Rita heights.
Morgan is a perfect fit for me, super soft and comfy, very well made, and the colour is so pretty.
The Matilda frame comes too close to my armpits, but Morgan doesn't do that at all. The gore is a little tall for my personal taste as I prefer plunges, but it's not too tall for my frame (unlike Cate which was a disaster).
This didn't fit at all. Elomi Morgan in the same size (40HH) is my perfect fit, but the Brianna had a huge gap at the top of the cups and the lace was all floppy, it was like the lace was made for cups 3 sizes larger than the padding. I got it on sale from Amazon so maybe there was something wrong with it? It seems improbable that an Elomi in my proper size would fit that terribly. Oh well.
These wires are too wide and tall for me. They also don't have enough depth in the cup. The volume of the 40J was more accurate, but still not deep enough. This colorway is just very bland when your skin-tone is adjacent. Probably good for when you need a "nude" bra, but I like fun colors, lol. Bras are for me, and I want to see fun colors when I take off my shirt. The other color ways are probably better for me, this was the colorway that was in stock in this size. The feel is standard for Elomi bras. Comfortable band, great feel for ...the satin part of the cup, and the stretch lace doesn't seem like it will wear well. I would love to see them move more toward the stretch lace that the Panache Serene uses. I love that bra's fabric so much. Get me off my soap box, I swear. Sometimes I wonder if I'd die for that stupid bra. I really wish it had more projection. I'm still upset about how big those damn wires are. Oh, I'm off topic. These wires are too big too, I already said that, but at least it's on topic. Ok, bye. Read more 100 more words
This bra is so lovely, provides a nice round shape, has softer materials than the newer Elomis BUT
It's so damn shallow. It has no apex projection or projection at the wire. It really minimizes but it instantly pushes out of my IMF. Combine that with wide Elomi wires and it's an impossible fit for someone who is as projected as I am. Too bad because it is one of the most beautiful bras I've ever worn. The shell embroidery is lovely.
Pros: This bra fits very comfortably. The center gore lies flush amd doesn't dig in. The straps are comfortable and havent had to be adjusted all day. There areno obvious seams or wrinkles. My whole boob fits well in the cup after the scoop n swoop. Amd it's a very pretty hot pink and has some gorgeous scalloped detail towards the top of the cup where the satin gives way to sheer panels adding just a hint of (very) subtle sexiness. Cons: These are more a matter of personal preference, but I like to wear tops that are cut lower than this bra will allow. It comes up very ...high on my chest , making it great and super comfy under t-shirts, sweaters, oranything wth a high neckline. Also, my boobs have no perkiness whatsoever on their own and this bra does not quite give me enough uplift. They are technically supported as they should be, just not as perky as I like. The bra, beimg a soft cup, also lends itself to more of a conical shape (though nowhere near a 50's bullet bra), whereas I prefer them more rounded. And maybe this is a byproduct of wearing the wrong size bra for years, but the underwires come about 2-3 inches further around my torso than I found necessary, which makes me look fat instead of fabulously big busted (I prefer to be able to scoop n swoop the side boob into the cup instead of having the cup swoop around the side boob).
Overall a great bra, just some personal preferences keep it from being a 10. Read more 159 more words
This bra holds me all in and I like the shape it give me. The wires may be a little wide. I think I'll try a 40H and hope it doesn't give me quad-boob.
This has been my go-to bra for years. While it's currently fitting poorly because I'm pregnant, prior to that, it was gorgeous. It dealt very well with my very pendulous, separated breasts, and provided comfortable, all-day support. Nothing poking, nothing riding up, really just very nice, and provided a nice line under clothing.
This was a beautiful bra with silky cup material and a lace top. Unfortunately, the band was too big for me and I will have to return it. The straps were rougher than the rest of the bra, and too wide; they did not look very elegant. When I adjusted them high enough for me, the band slid up because it was too big. The lace at the top is stretchy and I could probably fit into the same cup in a smaller band.
