Has surprising depth at the wire and depth in general for a moulded cup bra. Fits my projected, FOB shape well. Good for shorter to medium roots too, the top of the cups sit close to my skin without gaping. This bra really understands that when you need wide wires, the cups need to project more to the centre of the bra to get forward projection. Otherwise, when the cups wrap around your body, the 'centre' moves and your boobs point out at a 45 degree angle, giving you the dreaded east/west look. Amelia puts things front and centre. I have narrow shoulders and the straps on this one were a bit too wide for me, causing some rubbing under the arms and on the tail of spence. Models with centre pull straps like Elomi Carmen suit me better. I may move the straps in a bit, and reduce the height of the wings/ sides of cups slightly as well. The beige/ nude colour is a bit boring, but it does go well under sheer/ light clothes.
I'm pretty pumped to see another user doing reviews in my size range!!
I may have to give this one a try. Projection at the wire is one of my must-haves.
Thanks ennakym . I've just recently started my bra journey again, determined to have ones that actually fit. I've got more measurements and reviews to add, just need the time. I'm going to add a couple today.
I'll keep an eye out! I'm waiting for a bunch of Comexims to come in, so hopefully they'll come in soooon so I can get reviews and measurements, too.
I measure a 42G, but I had to size down to a 40GG to get a better fit. The band was sliding up on me every time I moved my arms, but it was really comfortable!
This is the cutest, most comfortable bra that's ever blessed my boobs. Almost everything about it is perfect. Almost. Being that it's not padded in any way, it gives my soft breasts a little bit more of a cone/pointed shape than I'd normally like, but I'm slowly learning to not care too much about that. Also, the seams are kinda visible under thinner fabric tops, so you might not like it if that sort of thing bugs you.
I'm a little concerned about the build quality. I've had this bra about a month now, and there have been some loose threads here and there since Week 2. I'll admit though, it's been machine washed a few times, and I am a little hard on my clothing in general.
All in all, I love this bra. I find it very comfortable, and seeing the adorable strappy parts peak out when wearing lower cut tops makes me probably happier than it really should lol!
I'm not crazy about brown bras, but I imagine this would make a really lovely nude on someone with darker skin (I am pasty freckled pale.) I bought this one because I wanted to try Elomi, and I thought the three part halfcup might have enough projection at the wire for me. My initial impression is that it's doing pretty well at the wire, but the gore is too wide and resting a little on my breast tissue. On the plus side, it's a well-made bra, the fabric is silky, and there's a very soft fuzzy felt-like casing over the underwires and on the underside of the straps.
This bra doesn't really have the depth at the wire I need, so it doesn't sit quite in my IMF. It seems more suited to full on top or centre full shapes rather than my bottom fullness. The wings are also quite high on me. It comes up higher under my arms than the Elomi Carmen, and even a bit more than the Amelia. The pattern is beautiful, as is the blue colourway. The fabric doesn't stretch, so it's quite supportive. Gives a nice rounded shape too. Wires are wide as with most Elomis.
The super-correct designation for this bra is "Elomi by Goddess Kristie", it is dating from the time Elomi was still a subbrand of Goddess. Now Goddess, Elomi, Fantasie and Freya are all part of the Eveden group. You'll also find this bra labelled as "Goddess Kristie (5810)".
The Kristie is the predecessor to the Elomi Caitlyn and it fits exactly the same. I know this bc I have the Elomi Caitlyn in 40 GG and aside from the band being wider on the 42G and the lace being slightly different it is exactly the same bra.
This site is so awesome. Thank you VERY much for this review. I have always really liked the Caitlyn bra but I have wrinkle issues with the smallest one made in a 42, the 42dd. After reading this review, I went looking for the @Kristie online and I found a brand new 40d on eBay for low $. Since the 40d is a sister size to the 42c, which is what I really need, hopefully it will fit even though I may have to use an extender. Thanks!
This is such a great bra. When I was smaller in cup size it fit and held my breasts up all day without straps. It's not super breathable in the summer but the thick and stiff molded cups don't show nipples and really hold my 5 lb breasts up.
This bra fits very well. It is a tiny bit loose in the top but within acceptable parameters. It is a fairly stretchy band, but by day's end still feels tight. It does show in low cut tops and through the sleeves of a couple of my dresses.
The seams are nice and flat and do a nice job shaping. The color, purple, is very nice and the materials feel nice.
My absolute favorite fit of my new bras. The lace top part of the plunge fits the top of my breasts extremely well. However, the bold pattern shows under a lot of tops and it shows in the armpit of two of my dresses.
This was the very first properly fitted bra I bought. It fits fantastic, but it is already starting to stretch. It had a bit of wrinkle in the top of the cup, but over time that has started to smooth out.
The only problem for me is that it shows in the underarms of two of my dresses.
