  1. Caitlyn Underwire Side Support Bra (8030)

This is the first properly fitted bra I've worn in years, after finally relenting and buying something with the right cup size.

Good points: Very comfortable, and supportive. At first I was taken aback by how unsquished I felt. But when I looked in the mirror, everything was lifted up and looked nice and round, not squished! Also, the Caitlyn comes in colors other than nude and black! I went with purple. It's a sensible bra that is also pretty with the lace and a bow at the front. The straps don't fall down. The cups felt a little big at first, but once I scooped/swooped the cups were ... filled in nicely.

Unsure points: I think there should be another hook at the back closure; however, this may just be because I'm used to Cacique bras and their 5-hook closures. I also wish the bottom of the band didn't roll, but that's to be expected when you're squishy like me. It rolls pretty bad.

ETA: I've recently lost some weight, and the cups are just a tad loose on me. I will keep it around for PMSing.

    • Ditto for the 5 hook closure! My old bras, like Bali Flower, had 5 hooks, so loved it. But outgrew Bali FLower, so it seems like I am trapped in 3-hook land. :\

  2. Amelia Spacer Moulded Bra (8740)

This is the first properly fitted molded cup bra I've worn in at least five years. I like it because while it's molded, it's not padded and I don't get a pushed-up shape.

Good points - Comfortable for all-day wear, and molded so that I can wear with t-shirts and tank tops. The wires seem wide, which works for my body/breast type. I get a bit more lift in this bra than I do with my 44FF - Elomi ยป Caitlyn Underwire Side Support (8030), but not so much that my bust sticks out. The underwire generally doesn't poke unless I'm bending over, which I don't do often.

Unsure points: The band rolls a bit when I'm seated. Not a big deal, and I'll see how this plays out over the next few weeks.

    Overall I'm satisfied.

    Didn't fit

Wings too short on the sides to comfortably fit my side-fat. Gore sits really comfortably. Bra feels all around too small, but I think thats from a too-small cup size, as the band size almost feels too large. Had to take it off after 30mins because it was just so all-round uncomfortable/feeling pressure (probably because cup too small, band too large). Feel like 1.5cup sizes up and 1band size down could work.

    Fits

This is the first "correctly" sized bra I've purchased, and I don't think I could be happier with it. The straps are very comfortable and don't dig into my skin. The underwire does poke a tiny bit, but only after I've had the bra on for a few hours.
