This is a very pretty bra with nice, narrow cups. It is extremely projected for its size (cup depth fit me pretty well, but it’s definitely not the size of most D cups). Unfortunately (for me), it is made for very short roots, so it cuts into my upper tissue. If that’s what you need, though, it’s probably a gem of a find.
I think I get a little "orange in a glass" effect in this cup size. I would love to try this in a cup size larger. The band is very stretchy also as it goes to 32". The seams on the cups are a little distorted and kinda make the shape of a ballet slipper at the apex. The cups are a little too far apart for me as well. The gore is nice and low.
I got this online on a whim because it was super discounted, just as an excuse to try an Empreinte bra even though they are known as a brand catering to larger busts than mine.
What a beautiful bra - definitely too big in the cup and the band for me. But gorgeous. The embroidery is beautiful but quite flat - pretty much seamless under a shirt.
The molded cup is definitely too big for me - it's a thin material but quite stiff, so it just sort of balloons over my boobs. Although the cup depth measurement is similar to other bras I have, the cup is pretty deep ...all over, not just at the apex, so it has room for a lot of volume.
The straps and band are of such a lovely material and construction - so comfortable. The band runs large, I could easily fasten the last hook.
The wires on this I found rather odd. It is a plunge with a low gore, but the wires descend quite a bit from the centre - right down onto ribs for me. I'm not sure how you would wear it so that it followed your IMF. It's like the wires were made for a taller gore. Read more 97 more words
My very first Empreinte - a well made high quality bra. Band is a loose 30, similar to Eveden bands - high quality elastic, not very stretchy - works for me on the middle hook. Three piece cup, the material very firm - the alternative of a moulded cup, no extra padding. I suppose, more depth is achieved with this construction. Unfortunately the cups are too small for me, probably by one cup size. I read as much as I could about sizing and got the impression that one needed to size down. Well, this one does not run that large in the cups, FR 75D roughly corresponds to a 30DD standard UK size. I don't know what the fit would be in a size up, but guessing that this plunge wouldn't be ideal for my shape. The cups push the breasts up and together, not a great idea for centre full shapes. Gore is short and wide. Black colourway
did you order 2 sizes at the same time? (sorry my comprehension is really bad right now since im sleepy)
oh, no - the 32C was sent to me by mistake, I ordered a completely different bra and got that instead.
dont they cover return shipping if the mistake was on their end?
I haven't contacted them.
Perhaps the "depth" is characteristic of the Thalia and Sophia models only? If this is true, I may post a 30E Elea soon ;-) Research can be expensive ;-)
OK, googleing Elea... :)
There's a good chance the Elea would be deeper than the Bettina. It seems that the moulded/hard cup styles tend to run smaller than the soft cups in many brands, including Empreinte . At least I hope, since I have some 75Ds on their way. Fingers crossed for both of us!
Interesting, I have never tried any of the foam/contour/padded styles. I can say unequivocally that both the seamless molded LACE (so not foam, unlined) e.g. Melody, and all the seamed cups I have ever tried, fit very deep, but it would seem that the same is not true for this model at all. I'm sorry it didn't work for you but I'm glad you reviewed it and measured it--it will be very helpful to other people trying to figure out an Empreinte size and style.
Thank you wendybien, I am eager to find out and hopefully will as soon as my dying donkey arrives in the leaky boat :D There's hope FoodForest ...
Let's hope the bubble gum patch in the boat holds ;-)
