This was such an amazing wardrobe staple for the 6 weeks I wore it before losing weight. Great shape, perfect comfort and completely invisible under clothes. The design isn't my fave in terms of cuteness but I needed a nude-for-me bra for summer tees and it undeniably got the job done!
At first glance, the Bettina is a very unassuming bra. What sets it apart from being completely plain are the lace details on the straps and wings. The cups are seamless, but the fabric is rigid enough (but not TOO stiff) to provide good support.
This is a full cup bra, so don't expect any cleavage. The cups also have a slight minimizing effect. But! The comfort factor of this bra surprised me, in that it is almost like wearing nothing at all. The wires come up just high enough to contain my breasts but not so high that they would dig into my armpits.
If you are considering ...trying Empreinte, I recommend sizing down in the cup, and maybe sizing up in the band, if you are in between sizes. Normally I would wear a 30G or, if I go up in band, 32FF. I feel 32FF would have been too big.
While I like this bra, I don't think I could like it enough to pay full price ($100+). That said, I now have an eBay alert for Empreinte just in case one shows up in my size at the right price. Read more 85 more words
This bra did not work for me. I have slope breasts and very little breast tissue up top and in the upper corners of my chest. This bra has a ton of material in the corners so of course it created puckering in the bra that made weird lines under my tops. And anytime I moved the bra looked 10 times worse. Like folks are saying this brand definitely runs larger. I would size down in the band and keep the same cup size.
This is standard issue, fantastic-fitting, narrow(ish) cup, deep cup Empreinte. Alas, they're starting to discontinue the unlined, seamed, deep styles in favour of the seam-free and shallower fits, but while they last, I'll keep trying the projected models. It's a very comfortable, beautiful black bra with a strange fabric medallion covering the gore (not like anything I've seen on an Empreinte before). I will remove it because it doesn't seem to serve anything but decorative function and it makes an otherwise very elegant and chic bra look a bit fussy. (Note: I don't recall having seen it in the balconette photos of this bra I've seen in ivory.)
As I wear it, and have more feedback to report, I'll revise this review...
I LOVE this bra. It's in my top 5. I've got the midnight blue colourway and it's SPECTACULAR. Round, uplifted, elegant shape. Amazing lift and support. Lots of centre projection. Narrow wires. Utterly beautiful but surprisingly wearable (without being too visible) under snug tops.
This bra - as with most of the Empreinte offerings - is best for a narrow root and immediate centre projection (and lots of projection overall). It's just beautifully engineered, beautifully constructed and luxe. The band is snug but not tight and this bra does a terrific job of lifting and supporting heavy breasts as if they were clouds. The sizing is EU sizing so no half cups and every band/cup size combo has a different wire (each having unique dimensions). So the sizing is very well-scaled.
Only con: it's pricey. Also, unless you know Empreinte sizing well, don't guess - go to a store and try on the bras. Or you may well get the wrong size. I find 32F fits like a 32FF or G.
This bra fits very well. The cup fabric is rigid, so my breasts don't stretch out. My ribcage is 33, but I was fit at a fancy pants lingerie shop in a 32. It was pricey, but with proper care, I think it will last a long time.
This is a beautiful bra, it truly is. Very much worth the price tag. However, it just doesn't fit me. The cups run HYOOOOGE. I mean really. And the brand stretches to unimaginable lengths, but is still comfortable. Definitely order a size down. Also keep in mind that this is a full cup bra. It really is a lot of bra.
This is really basic bra that I wear for workouts and generally less glamorous activities. Although, as all Empreinte bras, it is extremely well made, it seems to have quite minimizing effect. It is also "a lot of a bra", meaning that it provides tons of coverage - this is a truly full cup. This is of coursr good for vigorous physical activities, but I would not recommend it for an evening out on town: ) The band being Empreinte is very firm. On my tall frame, the straps need to be adjusted to its full length so I think on anyone taller than 5'7", the strap length may not be sufficient. I guess what I am trying to say, "no way would I pay the full retail price", but on ebay at 60% off retail price it is a reasonable addition to my bra arsenal.
I have this bra in the black and the rose-beige colours. Both are stunning in appearance. The Rose is a nod to retro styling with its burlesque design - oversized rose embelishment at the gore - but it has a modern projected but rounded contour. This low-neck version provides adequate coverage for a large bust without too much fabric. The fabric is soft feeling almost cottony but the durability is typical for Empreinte - the bra remains unstretched wash after wash.
This is a very nice option for a seamless unpadded bra. The lace is extremely sturdy, the band holds its shape and support wash after wash. Surprisingly, even though it is unpadded, the dense lace actually conceals nipples really well making it a good choice for warm weather wear under T shirts. It does have a minimizing effect as the cups are somewhat shallow for what you would expect from Empreinte (known for projected fit), so if that is what you are looking for, it will deliver. Its main positive feature is comfort and support - I wear mine for yoga and jogging instead of sports bra. It is full cup, meaning full coverage, i.e. it will not give you cleavage.
This bra fits beautifully (like every Empreinte bra) and is in the vane of the Lola. The cups are deep through the centre. The wires are relatively narrow. The materials are luxe and strong - very high quality. I'd say it fits on the generous side by comparison with other brands that do "half sizes" i.e. FF cups (French brands do an F and then a G). More to the point, it fits well on deep, narrow breasts. The straps are comfortable. The whole thing is a delight. Alas, it's very pricey. The one thing I'd change about this bra is that I'd make the straps fully-adjustable (but they are so comfortable because of the way the half strap has been constructed. They would have had to forgo that in order to make the straps fully-adjustable.
