I wanted to buy two bras to make the shipping worth it to Canada from this France, so I selected this one. Soooo pretty! I feel like a bébé lawyer. Wow, Empreinte runs very consistent. VERY CONSISTENT. I mean, the size is the same in between styles. Sign of a quality brand!
As far as sizing in Empreinte, it might be better to see a professional, aka just try on bras in person. Empreinte has a variety of shapes, some cups are more pointy, and other cups are rounded, like the Cassiopee.
This bra is gorgeous! It looks like it fits you, too. You said it minimizes the profile and maximizes the front view. What do you mean by the latter? Does it make you look wider from the front?
Maybe it's just the flower pattern playing tricks on my eyes though.
Interesting, I know it looks like it fits, but I feel like the band isn't tight enough. I guess I would have to try a 32 band (70 EU band) to compare if that's too tight. It's possible this is the best size for me.
It probably does look like it's tight enough. I just like my bra bands really tight.
Oh, interesting. This women just wrote about having uneven tension in the band. A tell tale sign of this is having the side seam at an angle, instead of perpendicular to the ground. "Uneven tension can make the band feel too loose and the bra unsupported even though it's right size on either the top or bottom of the band." I'm not really sure what she means by this. Here is the comment https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/comments/17b8puh/comment/k5it3x8/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
Ya, I wouldn't size down in the band. The tension in the band looks good. If you size down it might distort the cups and so it won't fit well anymore. But you might be experiencing uneven band tension like the user above had mensioned.
I see what you mean about the side-minimizing and front-widening appearance, BraOdyssey . Most of the Empreinte bras I have feel somewhat loose in the band. It's hard to find Empreinte 30 bands. I feel supported despite this. However all my Empreinte bras are molded ones that hold their shape when empty. I'm lucky there's a shape match.
I wish you could try on a variety of band and cup combinations. Maybe a different combo would give a different shape. How does this bra look under clothes? Does it do what you want it to do?
Gorgeous bra built for very narrow, very projected shapes with considerable inner fullness. Materials feel and look very luxurious. Stitching, etc. is impeccable.
Runs huge, huge, HUGE. I am normally a 32FF (uk) also known as a 70/85G in European or French sizes. This is a French 85F, but it is a solid 2 cup sizes too big for me; it's both way too tall and way too deep in the cup.
If you are normally a 32G or even GG in UK sizes, and have average proportions, this would probably fit you very well. If you have been sizing way up in UK brands ...to get enough depth, but usually deal with too-wide wires, you may also find that you can fit in the Empreinte size matrix even though in theory you ought to be sized out by a mile. If a 32F is 12.5 inches deep and correspondingly tall, you can just imagine how deep and tall the 32G and H cups are.
The gore is also very narrow and tall, making this design very suitable for full and close-set ladies.
I'm really sad this is too large for me--it's a limited edition of the Thalia. It's black like the continuity style, but the top of the cups, straps, and front of the band are embroidered with subtle silvery-glittery thread. AND it comes with a little set of 3 adorable doo-dads that you can attach to the gore as decoration. This is serious glam! Read more 145 more words
It was sold to me as "low front" but gore can still appear outside of clothing. that is to say in a V opening or centre of shirt. So on me it is a high gore. I'm high breasted so this is not an unusual problem. But Emprientes are way higher on my chest than their model's photos. Depth is great - my nipples are exactly wear centre seams meet, but right (smaller breast) has slight ruffling of the top's lace edge. No wrinkling anywhere. Doesn't show when dressed, and not unusual for me. I do still have this bra and will upload wearing it shortly.
It's my least fave Empreinte - and I own 7 different styles. It's less projected than the seamed cups (like the Kaela). It's also dowdier than any of the other styles. It is very well-made, the band (as with all Empreintes) is insanely comfortable and supportive without being in any way tight. It's well engineered for those with heavy breasts who want more width and comfort in the top of the strap. I wouldn't buy it again, but I do wear it. Update: I don't wear it and will sell it. It's much less attractive than the similar Prima Donna Divine (which is deeper, narrower in the cups and less industrial).
This is a beautiful bra from Empreinte. Stunning embroidery!
Perhaps it looks like it fits, but the band is actually not tight enough for my preference(29" underbust measurement, a.t.m., for reference). So, I think I would have to go down to a EU 70 band. I read from the bra blog K-line, (https://line4line.blogspot.com/search?q=Empreinte) that Empreinte doesn't technically make sister sizes, meaning, you can of course sister-size down or sister-size up, but the cups will not be 100% the same size. As in, they use different underwires for cups if you sister size. So, even though the cup looks pretty good in this size, it will not ...be exactly the same cup width.
I got this bra from the French website, it was discounted to an amazing price. https://www.mesdessous.fr/en/36-outlet THAT BEING SAID, I would only buy directly from France if you already know what styles and sizes work for you in Empreinte; Empreinte is a brand that probs should be fit by a professional bra fitter first. I just say that b/c I am almost always able to get my correct size.
Another thing I love about Empreinte - besides the quality and aesthetic - they do have a variety of styles. E.g., if you like the "rounded V.S. style" look, there's Cassiope and a few others. If you still like the more projected look, they have styles like Louise or Garance. Read more 126 more words
I would not say that it is the most luxurious looking bra, it's a pretty blah beige, but the lace edging is pretty. The material seems supportive and soft enough, but it is definitely not as nice feeling as the Prima Donna bras I tried. I definitely like the 3 hooks (I wish every bra in my size range had them), and the strap placement is nice, it seems very stable.
This was the only size that Amazon had available for Prime, and since I've been reading that Empreinte runs small in the band and deep in the cup, I figured I'd give it a shot. The 34 ...band is definitely too big for me - I had it on the tightest hooks, and it still felt like it was about to ride up in the back. The wires are really tall and u-shaped, so it's definitely great for someone who needs a narrow and deep bra. The gore is really tall, and was painful for me, but if you are center-full, it will probably work really well. It did give a pretty nice shape under clothes, and I was hoping I might be able to make it work somehow, but it was just too painful, especially in the gore.
I started writing this review earlier today, and I was going to say that this bra doesn't fit me because it is too narrow, but I think I've had some kind of breakthrough (in understanding, not in actual acquisition, I am still at square 1!), and I think it's just too tall, both in the wires and gore. Beautiful bra, I love the ivory and dark charcoal color combo which looks a little softer than pure white/black. Materials are smooth, silky to the touch, very fine-knit and super comfortable. Embroidery, tiny crisscross lacing details over the seams, little shell button on the gore... all the finishes are extremely refined and together with the print on the lower cups it gives a sort of late 18thC/Regency vibe. If Lizzie Bennett had worn bras after she snagged Darcy and enjoyed an unlimited lingerie budget, she would have worn things like this every day, or so I like to pretend https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />
Tragically, it is WAY too deep and tall for me and does not fit. It runs marginally less huge than my 32F - Empreinte » Thalia Demi Cup Bra (0856) --height and depth are a fraction of an inch smaller--but still far more real estate than I require. I imagine this size would fit someone who takes a full 32G in UK sizes.
I'll add a picture when I can. I had this bra when I was heavier than I am right now and it made my boobs look amazing. Also, it's gorgeous. I loved this bra.
I freakin' love this bra. I've been dealing with myofascial pain lately (one of my main trigger points is at the band area of the bra, over my back) and this bra manages to be loose (I sized up from my proper size of 32 band)- but also supportive. It gives great lift. The cups are, as always with Empreinte, very deep especially at the centre cup. It's a perfect basic that is also sexy and elegant. And it's amongst the most affordable models of this brand.
