I’m a big fan of this bra. I’m short (5’) and often have trouble finding underwires that aren’t too wide for my frame. The cups are close and narrow, and have the best projection of any bra I’ve tried. The material in the cups is remarkable. There are no seams but they don’t stretch over time. I was fitted for this bra, and the fitter told me they use technologically more advanced materials. At the time, I thought that was probably hookum. But, I think she might be right. The material is sturdy, even though it’s lacy and comfortable. When I got ...this bra, I was fitted into a 38H in Primadonna and a 36G in Empreinte. The sizer told me that Empreinte does fit differently. If you buy one, definitely go down a cup size. I’m not sure quite how to advise on the band. The bands are more elastic/prone to stretching than Primadonna’s. The full length of the straps is adjustable (which is good for my short torso). My only complaint is that the straps are a bit wide-set for my shoulders- a problem I find with most bras. Empreinte makes an @Appoline style which has closer straps that I prefer. I am center full, soft, short rooted, evenish, pendulous, projected and narrowish. I liked the Capucine better than the Daisy. This was the caramel colorway. I got more lift out of this bra, even though it was a size too small. And it's the biggest they make, so I am out of Empreinte. They really are fantastic bras, really well made and so comfortable to wear.
Straps are fully adjustable with a shallow scalloping along the edges of the strap, and an embroidery on the top part of the strap. Wide and comfortable and they seemed secure, and wouldn't fall of my shoulders. I do believe they ...are center pull straps.
Band seemed stretchy and was very comfortable at my 36. I think if you were on the large side of 36 bands this bra wouldn't be a problem for you. Soft and slides well against the skin. There is a 1/4" or a 6.5mm channel with something reinforcing in it. Maybe a soft plastic, as it bends pretty easily. The gore is fairly narrow.
Cups are a three part balconette with a beautiful lace attachment at the top of the cup. I got more lift and a rounded shape out of this bra, though a touch flattened because the cup is too small on me. Gore didn't tack and was close to horizontal across the gore area, so not enough if you have a lot of center fullness. Probably would be a great bra for splayed close together breasts, however.
I loved this bra, and I wish it fit me. Read more 155 more words
Seriously, one of the most comfortable bras I have ever tried on. Didn't work for me however. I am center full, short rooted, evenish, soft, pendulous, projected and narrowish. The reason this bra didn't work for me is the center fullness. I'd need at least a cup bigger to have the gore have a chance of tacking as well as the cup not squashing my boob into strange shapes. I can only compress my soft boobs a little, which also tells me the cup might be too small for me.
The straps are fully adjustable, and a hair under an inch wide. Comfortable, smooth and stay in place. ...They might be a touch short for people who need very long straps. The back has a nice U shape the band goes up some to meet the straps as well. Pretty sure these are center pull straps. Does not irritate the armpits by being too wide.
The band is stretchy and comfortable. SO comfortable. Doesn't really ride up and is this soft material that when my arms rub against it, doesn't irritate the skin. Has a very subtle black on black pinstriping.
The cups unfortunately are what let me down, I think looking for a more FOB shape than I am. Three part balconette cup, with the upper being a non stretch lace component and the strap connecting to the outside panel. Nice deep cup, probably closer to a GG than a G. Plenty of room for bottom projection and I didn't have an issue with that. I didn't get a lot of lift from this bra and an odd shape on the top half of the bra. The lack of lift cantilevers out the gore and it doesn't tack on me (by two fingers all the way down, but when I lift my breasts with my hands it gets closer to tacking but I get cutting in on the top of the cup. I also have straight sides on the side of the cup and I don't really get a rounded shape from this bra.
The wires are narrower in the channel than say Panache and have room to narrower if needed. Doesn't help with the shape I get from it, though.
Just the wrong shape for me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 278 more words
