    Didn't fit

Very first impression - this could be a great thing!

Fit - I wear a 32 band in Panache but a 75 band in EM because sometimes they run tight - yeah, this runs tight. I can fasten this on the loosest hook, whereas most 75s I tighten right away on the 2nd hook, and soon on the 3rd. Definitely consider going up a band for this.

This is supposed to be a roomier cup - but not so much, for me? Well, my BMs occasionally quad a little on my bigger side, too - but this was a small day. I'm hoping it ... will stretch out a little - and I failed to try it with a shirt to see if the quadding is visible - but definitely there was a small amount of quadding on my bigger side.

Note - some pics are taken in the mirror and some are not, but the red tag is on my larger side in all pictures.

I did loosen the straps a bit to accommodate my slight quadding. Now, i'm short (5'2, almost) but my breasts are low-set . . these straps are almost all the way let out. Could be an issue for tall people who dont have very high-set breasts.

Fabric, as other reviewers mention, is definitely thicker and stiffer than, for example, the fabric in my BMs (which are all single-layer BMs). It feels coarser than my beloved Floris, possibly thicker. I do like a firm fabric. The stretchy fabric on the top portion of the cup is very light and sheer feeling - almost like tights? The cloth is doubled over so the top of the cup is basically a fold, which obviously can cut in a bit.

The buttons kinda freak me out - i want to unbutton them lol. But I suppose they are interesting!

Definitely high and round. Really curious how this will hold up over time.

Thanks for the back photo! Those straps don't look too wide set at all which is what I'm always afraid of. They might actually work out really well for me-the plunge cut usually doesn't work for me because of how far apart they are on the back. I keep meaning to give this a try but then I see something shiny or brightly coloured. It looks great on you besides the little quad and I hope that goes away once you break the bra in.

    • 1

I havent tried any plunges - i'm so soft I can fall out of anything w less than 4 inches of gore. and i dont seem to have trouble w wide-set straps. I must have wide shoulder compared to the circumference of my underbust.

    • 3

You review was great :) I think that the EM website suggested that it was compared in cup to a bm and looking at the measurements it looks to be so but your not the first review to say it runs a bit smaller in the cup compared to the bm . I am worried though about the one I ordered in a 70 hopefully I can breathe ,we will see.

You pointed out details like the buttons I didn't notice before and the folded over stretch tulle upper cup . The buttons at least are easy to remove if they end up driving you nuts lol .

Looks really good on you and you don't get that wrinkly strap thing ..but the main thing will be how does it feel after a few wearings . I can never tell if I like a bra until I wear it a while . I hope it works for you it looks like a great everyday bra that you should be able to put on and then not think about all day (my dream bra i.e. not sure it exists) sure does match your skin tone well too.

    • 1

      Thanks Ivp!

I tell you, i still think that picture from underneath looks creepy. It seems really weird - like, it looks like my breasts connect above the gore? idk, something about that freaks me out. it just looks wrong

    • 3

Ok, after my first all-day wear - well, I got sweaty within an hour of putting it on - summer. So the band was a little uncomfortable, but not bad, really.

The bra is slightly too small for me, but reverse-swooping does stop the quadding.

I feel like this elastic material really does a good job of keeping the girls IN the bra, like they cant climb out because they've got a lid on them. The shirt I wore wouldnt show quad, so its hard to know about that.

Also, because the girls are not able to climb, it is not a cleavage bra at all. I mean, its not super-high coverage- i wore my lowest cut top and you could only see the bra if you looked straight down - but my boobs stayed somewhat separate from each other - which is GOOD for me. It means less sweat, less rash. My boobs basically touch, so keeping them apart is normally what I want a bra to do.

Still hoping it stretches out a bit more, or, you know, i lose some weight lol

    • Thank you for this review! How would you say coverage compares to BM? Similar?

    • 1

The only BM I own is the BM Naomi and I think as far as cup height goes, they are very similar. A little more coverage than an S or SM.

    • Thanks for your review. I’m desperate for a T-shirt bra for under light weight knits and never can find anything projected enough. The SM shape fits me pretty well though so this is going on my to try list

    70K

    Fits

Finally I'm reviewing this. I previously tried the 75K - Ewa Michalak » Sf Gładzioch Beż (849) and the cups felt too roomy and big for me, it wasn't as supportive. The band was also a bit big. So I decided to get another in 70K. This bra fits me quite well. The band is snug and tight (but not too tight) at the loosest hooks. The cups fit me well, there is no gaping. I really love how projected and round the shape is from the side and how narrow my boobs look from the front. They are not outside of my body like in ... some known east-west fitting bras. I even think that it makes me look smaller from the front, like I'm 2-3 kg less heavy. From the side it makes my boobs look a bit more round and full than some other bras. I think that 70K is the best size for me in this bra. Maybe a 75JJ would have been working too.

I love the color, it's perfect for my skin tone. Also the issues I had with the strap lenght are not so bad anymore. I still wear them on the loosest setting possible but they don't hurt me. I think it's because the band in this 70K is tighter and does more work than it did in the 75K and so the straps don't dig in as much. I still think that I could not do with any shorter straps in this bra. The wires usually don't hurt me too much which is a good thing. The only thing that could hurt a bit at the end of the day is the elastic edge on band, it does dig in quite a bit. The band itself is a stretchy lace and feels comfy but the elastic edge feels a bit tight.

The other "issue" I have is that the bra is a bit too open on top and the gore a bit too low to fully contain my boobs. Let me explain: so If I put on the bra everything is in place and If I don't run in this bra everything will stay in place but with wear my boobs move a bit more to the center and try to overflow the gore a bit. It does not look like real quadboob because there is the stretchy lace containing them. But the lace is very soft and stretchy and does not really hold my boobs too well. Also there is more "upper boob jigging" when I walk in this bra than in my very tall Bravissimo bras.

This looks like a great fit to me!

For the record I order 10cm longer straps in all my EM bras because they are just too short for me!

    • 1

The SF style is a bit shorter than the BM, so if you want a bit more containment that style may suit you better. The BM also has more immediate projection which can be helpful with the fuller bust. That being said, the SF gives more support, so if you are jiggling more than you are comfortable with in it, the BM may not be the best as you most likely would jiggle more in it.

It looks like a great fit!

    • 1

MamaPagan She also has minimal wrinkling at the bottom of the cups which I thought was a standard with this bra! So good to see

    • 1

This looks great! So good to see something that works really well.

I can definitely understand with the upper-jiggle, but I've realised that, for me, if I get anything more rigid, it cuts in..I guess it's a mixture my soft boobs plus being full on top..

But I can also understand how bravissimo would be more appealing when it comes to containing all the breast tissue.

    • 1

brasaremean. Indeed! That was a signature aspect of the SF. 😄

    • 1

      That looks great 😀

    • Looks really good! I wish mine fit me this well. I get the standard wrinkling at the bottom of the cup.

    • I come from a family of big bosoms but without the well-fitting bras that I can see here sometimes. The ladies from my family would never wear something as basic as a T-shirt as they feel they look too frumpy, dumpy, and ill-defined. So, I love the T-shirt shot where the girls are looking svelte, defined, and you with a waist. Keep up the fine fitting!

    • MamaPagan I think I stick with this cut if I'm going to order from EM again. I don't think a bra in my size should be less supportive than the SF, for me at least, I need all the support I can get from a bra.

    • Frazzleberry Soft full on top boobs are just so difficult to fit! I think we just have to make compromises. Do you still wear your Bravissimo Nina bra? My Bravissimo bras all have more fabric on the cups and are quite a bit taller than the SF. I wondered how both bras fit me but the SF is deeper and more projected. I also think that is why there is more movement, the boobs are not as close to chest than with a more shallow, tall bra.

    • 1

alisa Understandable. I love the SF style, but also adore the BM -but you'd get more jiggle in it I'm sure.

    • 2

Love this bra on you. It looks great!! Really, really great. I love seeing seams and lace patterns through tshirts.
These aren't meant for running, for that you need a sports bra. But I understand if you jiggle too much when walking...my mom is soft on top and she says its like having a bowl of jelly on her chest :/

    • I have worn the bra again and I have to say that besides the jiggling and some slight center spill, it fits well. The only Problem I get is that after some time of wearing I feel the straps cut into my arms a bit. The cups are just a tiny bit too tall there and the straps too separated.

    • For me the straps take a bit to soften up. A was or two and couple of wears

    • Ewa bras (like many brands) tend to have the straight side to the cup outer edge, so instead of curving around the arm from the armpit to the shoulder, it's like it trys to go through it, haha. It can get annoying, but if you can loosen the straps it helps.

    • I think the SF straps are set farther apart than the BM. It could just be it feels that way because of the extra fabric triangle. That part always hurts me and hasn’t ever softened.

    • I don't like that the BM usually gives a quite pointy shape. I prefer the SF round shape. On the other side I'm curious and I would like to try a BM one day, to find out if I might like it.

    • 1

Interesting, the BM doesn't give me a pointy shape and the 60Ks are too tall for me. It's more of a natural shape, I guess you could say.

    • I really tried to figure out the difference between BM and SF. So far BM is a weaker bra also it has less seams at the cup than SF. But both bras feature stretchy lace on top. Why would I choose a BM over a SF, what are it's benefits?

    • 1

Bms in general to me are more comfortable and give a subtly natural shape while still having good support.

    • 2

A BM has more stretch, so it's more "forgiving" - it will accommodate slight size differences better. It is also a "softer" bra, less structured. It also comes in full lace, which SFs do not. I did a photo thing a while back comparing my shape in each of the Ewa styles...I'll have to look for it for you.
I generally prefer the SF too. I cook for a living and spend my days lifting heavy boxes and twisting and turning and I REALLY love their support...but I like BMs under lightly sheer blouses and especially for evenings.

    • 2

The base of the SF is lined with a stiffened fabric for additional support while the BM is not, so the support difference goes beyond the seam structure (which I feel is more for shaping than support.)

The BM gives more of a natural (less rounded or lifted) appearance which some women prefer. It is also softer/ lighter and more airy feeling, with the straps being less of an irritant. While their placement is the same, since that outer strap wedge isn't stiffened on the BM, it doesn't bite the armpit as much as the SF does.

The wires on the BM usually are more U shaped, while the SF tends to house the lazy J wires the slope outward. While I have gotten them both ways, this appears to be the standard for each style.

The BM tends to have a higher gore than the SF as well, which affects the fit and comfort for some.

The other difference between the BM and the SF is the sizing. The BM is slightly more roomy in the cups than the SF, making it a better choice for those who are between sizes with the SF, where one cup is just barely too small while the next cup up is too big. The same smaller cup in the BM would fit perfectly for the person, making it the ideal choice. This sizing conundrum would hold true in reverse as well, making the SF be a better fit for those inbetween in the BM style.

While subtle, the differences are quite extensive!

    • 2

The BMs are also a taller cup, so it actually might work out better for you since you need taller cups.

    • Thanks everyone!!! It is very helpful! I want to try a BM now. I don't mind a natural shape if it does not get too pointy or upside 7. I love U-shaped wires they fell more supportive and I also would not mind a taller gore.

MamaPagan Ewa recommends to size down in BM compared to padded bras. I don't own any EM padded bras. I have this SF bra in 70K which is a good fit but I have almost some overspill (it could be a bit taller ) and the 75K that is too tall and there is some gaping at the straps. I also find the 70 band better. BM Wenecja is my fave but there is only 70JJ or 75JJ left (I try to take advantage of todays 20% off sale) means a 75JJ could possibly fit more like a 75K when a 70JJ more like a 70K? I mean compared to SF fit. I also saw that BM Antonina is available in my usual size 70K and that bra is very well loved here, it has lots of reviews. I'm not sure if I like the white lace on beige that much...

AGBras is the whole bra made of a stretchy lace or only the top part? I get that the bras are usually lined with a thin beige colored fabric under the lace.

    • 1

I would go with your SF size, which in this range will fit similarly but be slightly more spacious in the cucuin the BM (think no more than a quarter of a cup larger than the SF in the same size.) I personally wouldn't recommend sister sizing, as Ewa's sister sizing does not equal the same cup volume. (My 70JJ SF was smaller in the cup than my 65K SF, which was smaller in the cup than my 60KKs. Same held true with the other styles I tried in a 70 band first. 😬)

The full lace BMs are not stretchy on the lower half since that portion is lined with a thinner no-stretch material.

    • 1

*cucuin should have been cup in. Darn glitchy auto fill phone.....

    • 4

Omg yes I remember our conversation in another adventure: no sister sizing in Ewa... it is not reliable!
I got carried away with the sale. Options in my size were limited and pretty bras in sister sizes were tempting, but I resisted and only ordered BM Antonina in my usual EM size of 70K and nothing else!

    • 2

Wise choice! I love Antonina. I'm wearing it today in fact. 😄 I hope you enjoy it as well.

    • Yeah I'm very excited to get a BM bra finally! Antonina looked the best ouf of the options available in my size. Also I liked how everyone said that it does not show much under tops despite the lace looking quite bulky on the pictures.

    • The Antonina lace is thin and smooth, and very beautiful. A soft white with cream/tan within it. Very nice.

    • Here is a close up of the lace/fabric:

      http://bra.pe/IjJE/

    • I love Antonina too. But mine is too small...think I will order it in an S in my size and sell my 65FF BM. 🤔

    • 1

The S version was beautiful as well. It has a white base instead of tan if I recall correctly.....While it wasn't a mass release, it was made in a few select sizes.

    • 1

    • I can't wait for my BM. I hope it will be more comfortable than the SF. Honestly, there are days when I love my SF glad and days where it hurts me so bad… :(

A few days ago it was the only bra that I had left to wear, but my PMS boobs where almost bursting out of the bra and it was a bit much with the movement. I had to wear a nude ahh bra and a loose fitting top over it to feel comfortable. (Note to myself… don't wear the SF with my "balloon boobs" as I call them)…

today I wear the bra again and the wires hurt me so bad and the straps cut into my arms and shoulders. The whole bra feels less supportive today. I don't know if it's because my boobs are too tall for the bra and I don't get proper support???

    • The straps on the SF are a killer to me. That stiff triangle piece + extra wide set straps just rub my tail of spence raw. The only thing you can do is hope that washing it a few more times will soften it. Did you wear something with the same shape wires 2+ days in a row? That's all I can think of on the wires.

    • Sovavosi you mean another bra with similar wires?

    • Yesterday I wore the 32JJ - Bravissimo » Lulu Bra (LN581) it felt okay.

    • 1

I have the same issues for every style bra: there are good days and bad days for all of them. I think it's just part of life unfortunately. Hormone fluctuations are not bra friendly for sure.

When wearing wires that sit in the same place a few days in a row can cause wire sensitivity. That's why it's a good idea to have a style rotation to allow the pressure points to heal between wears.

For me, it is always worse if I am having an extra "slouchy" day, where I am basically forcing those wires into my rib cage. 😖

    • 3

BM Antonina arrived and it is awesome! And... the size fits! I think I even like it more than the SF. Okay I need to wear it for a few full days yet before I say something like that but so far it looks and feels great. Thanks to everyone who talked me into it / recommended it to me <3

    • 1

I wore the bra a few times over the last few weeks without any problems. No wire pain… Maybe it just depends on what I do and how I feel in general on that day. Also I have now more bras to rotate and that might make a difference. So each bra "hurts" in another place and it doesn't add up so much at the same spot like if I wear only the same 2-3 bras all the time.

More in rotation does make a difference for sure. Glad it is painfree!

    • 1

      OH MY GOODNESS!

Until now, I did not notice that scary underneath photo à la dbmamaz !! ;)

But this bra tacks properly, right? Good.

    • 2

haha dfe98we , thats my legacy!

    • 2

I think with big boobs these underneath pics are the best way to show if the wire lies flat and if these is wrinkling in the bottom of the cup.

dbmamaz thanks for starting this trend :D

    • alisa it is a good trend fot that reason, even though a bit scary! 😆

    Didn't fit

I just received this bra from damaries. 10/10 recommend as a seller. Thank you so much for the super fast shipping. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

I’m currently in between sizes due to weight gain, so I thought I’d give this size Sf a try. In the past I had a few 65G Sf’s, but they just didn’t work due to apex location being slightly lower compared to the Bm cut.
Unfortunately this bra falls in line with the Sf cut. The apex of this bra, horizontal seem, falls short for my breast size/shape. My nipple is just a hair under the seem ... and if I wiggle too much it pops up and over the line. If the Bm cut has an apex just a little high for you, try the Sf!

The bra has lovely straps with a hint of pattern in them. They have a firm elastic stretch to them. The lower portion of the cup is the exact same color as the Bm Bibi Beżowa Perła, with the fabric of this bra being slightly thicker and slightly more structured in comparison. The lower cup consists of three pieces and the upper cup being two. The upper cup has a stretch micro mesh fabric that lays smoothly against the skin. There are small pearl like buttons where the strap meets the cup as well as on the center gore. The back band has a single layer of power mesh with a 3x4 back band closure. The hardware is all nude, matching the overall color of the bra. The bra gives a very nice round shape. As always this bra has great quality in construction.

Aww I’m sorry to hear that it didn’t work out for you! I can’t seem to get a good fit in SF bras either. I’ve tried several different sizes. This bra does look so great on you though! Thank you for recommending me 💗

    • 2

damaries It just confirms Sf is not for me. But, what I’ll keep doing as I’ve done in the past is order a custom Bm with the Sf fabric as I did with my Garden bra. Some patterns and colors are just too cute to pass up.

    • 2

This is my favorite cut. I had that exact bra yesterday. Kinda wishing it was a bit bigger. I’ve gained 3-4 pounds too and experiencing more cycle swelling than ever (well, besides prego days. Barf. )

    • 5

This is so cute! It's a shame that SF's don't work for you :(. At least EM will usually make a SF in a BM for $10 or so extra.

marilynne , whoa, only $10 more? Good to know...

    Didn't fit

First try with the SF bra for me. I really like the quality of the bra! The material is amazing, super soft and silky. The wires are super narrow! The straps are wide which is a plus. I expected it to be different, more like a padded bottom half and a flimsy top half but I got confused that it said it's a half padded bra on the website.

When I put it on for the first time, I was shocked because it fits so well! I mean no quadboob and also not obviously being too big in cup. Band also fitted just like it should. The wires are not ... too wide for once! The cups are really tall on this style but I think it's necessary to the boobs are fully supported despite the stretchy lace part. Also I do really like how deep the cups are and the space at the gore is just right (usually bras are too shallow there).

6 years in bra fitting thought me that bras can be mean and more than I few times I removed tags on a bra that fitted when trying on, only to find out it does not work when wearing it for a full day. So I decided to wear the bra for a few hours around the house. The more I walked around the more I felt the band riding up at the middle of my back where the straps meet the bra. I could not understand that because that band should fit me according to measurements. I felt the weight on my shoulders and straps were cutting in and leaving red marks. Then I decided to close it on second set of hooks and too loosen the straps a lot. It helped some but I removed the bra then.

Today I put the bra on quickly and made the straps as loose as possible. I still only can fit 2 fingers under them and not a full hand (I know this is done to check if a band is too big but I can apply this to straps too, they should not be too tight). I think it's super weird because it's almost like the straps don't adjust long enough. I can't remember ever having that issue with a bra? I wonder if I overcompensate something weird in the fit when loosing the straps so much? Or are these straps just really short? I need to compare to my other bras and edit here later. On the other side there wasn't more gaping in the cups when I loosened the straps so I did not overcompensate a too small cup by loosing the straps. I go on about this issue because I don't understand it. I wonder If I should try a 70K...

In my experience, sister sizing down from 70G to 65GG meant a snugger cup (it's about half a cup smaller than my 70G basically). Keep in mind EM sister sizing is whack. MamaPagan and Sovavosi could probably help when it comes to K+ cup.
My 70G bands measure to about 80-83cm just for the record. Many disagree with me, but I think EM bands stretch out really fast when weighed down by the big bust. I wore a 32FF when I first tried her 70 band and it was loose within a week. When I got to 32G it was ridiculous, the support was lacking because of the band. Now I'm more a 30GG and the 65 bands sometimes still ride up (depending on the day heh).

I personally had to order adjusted straps--I have about 10cm added to them for extra 20pln (and those bras are non returnable just so you know). The standard ones were just too short for me and were giving me *severe* neck and shoulder pain.

Honestly, I think this is a really good first try for an Ewa Michalak bra! I went through about four-five sizes till I found what works for me. You seem to only need a slight adjustment.

    • 2

If the straps aren't long enough, that can cause the band to ride up as well. With the straps off, does the band feel supportive?

You stated you wonder if you should try a 70K which would indicate sizing down in the cup as well asin the band. Do you think the cups are too large? If that is the case, it would also make the band feel looser and less supportive. I would suggest trying a 75JJ before trying the 70K if that is the case.

    • 1

Another issue with the J+ cups is they automatically make the band longer. I don’t know if it’s the case across all band sizes but it is for 60 bands. If you tried a 70 there is no guarantee that it will actually only stretch to 32”.

    • 2

Since you don't have a past history of problems with strap length, and since your measurements and the bra's measurements are consistent with the scenario of a band that is still too loose, I think you can probably be reasonably confident that the strap strain is due to lack of band support. I agree you can also size down 1 volume to given the slight but noticeable looseness of the upper cup and high coverage (when this is not designed to be anthing close to a full cup).

    • Everyone has good information here. I think that it’s a great looking bra and pretty good fit for the first try.

    • Thank you everyone for your comments :) I will have to take some time again with the bra … also try it on without the straps on and all. I noticed that the band stretches quickly, I can close it on a tighter setting already just wearing it few hours. Oh... I hope I can still return it... :S

    • 2

To me, everything looks fine (shape wise) except the cups look too big, not giving you the compression you need, so your breasts are forcing the bra downward. I would try a 70K. Once the cup and the band is reduced, the gore should sit a little better and all that extra bagginess on the sides should dissipate.

SF is in no way lightly padded. I consider the fabric to be stabilized, which is what I refer the SF to (stabilized fabric). I'm not sure if translating it for Ewa was an issue for them or what.

If the straps are your biggest issue, I would also see if you could get a 70K and ask for the straps to be longer so that you can adjust them.

    • brasaremean what I noticed in comparison to other bra straps, the EM straps don't have much stretch in them. I was able to shorten my straps very much on my too big bravissimo bras and it was still "bearable". On this SF bra, I had to loose them and they still felt tight. I'm not sure if I need longer straps, I can still fit easily 2 fingers under my straps, I think my boob weight makes them cut in so badly.

    • MamaPagan I added a few pictures of what the bra does when I have the straps off: http://bra.pe/ImyP/ and http://bra.pe/ImyQ/ and another picture of what happens when I pull up the straps. http://bra.pe/ImyO/

I'm not sure if this is how a EM bra shoud fit without the straps on? In my experience (with UK brands) a band and cup construction should do more than that even with the straps off? I begin to think that my boobs are just too heavy for this bra construction.

The reason why I thougt about the 70K is that I think I am between the 2 band sizes and since the EM bands are know to stretch out really fast, I would wear the 70 band with an extender first to break it in and would get more wear out of the bra than on a 75 band that might stretch out very quickly. On the other side there is the problem with sister sizing and that 70K could run more than just 1 cup smaller than a 75K which could be too small again. I can close this 75 band on the tightest setting without any problems already.

    • Sovavosi My current underbust measurements are 29-31-33 Inch so I think I'm between a tts 32 and 34 band? So I would not mind a 32 band stretch to 33'' but a 34 band should not stretch to 36'' or it will be too big.

    • How much does that one stretch right now? I have had one 60K stretch to 27” and the rest are 29+”. If the 70 and 75 are like that I’d go with the smaller band size.

    • 2

Alisa, I have sister sized from a 70JJ to a 65K to 60KK with the SF and with each drop down, the cup was larger not smaller. While I know others have experienced otherwise, from my experience, yes, sister sizing does not equal the same cup volume, but it is opposite of what your fear is. DerangedDragons19 and I have discussed the possibility of the reason being that Ewa does a smaller jump in cup volume between the single to double letters, but a larger jump between the double to the next single letter. So there’s a small volume increase between a J to JJ and between K to KK but a larger jump between JJ to K and KK to L. This is most likely why the sister sizing is off, as with every other sister size it would be the opposite single vs. double letter situation. There is also a consistent rouge bra situation occurring, meaning that we are regularly seeing bras that do not follow the normal rules, so some are taller, wider, more spacious, shallower, shorter, etc than they should be in cup, wire, and/or band. This does make it more difficult to figure out if the bra you are trying is a rouge or the standard. I can only say what I have experienced based on what I have tried personally. (74 Ewa bras in 60-70 bands and J-L cup range with 8 more in transit.) This by no means makes me an expert, but it does mean I’ve tried enough to know when I receive a rouge bra within that range.

Also, my experience has been that the band does not stretch out at all, but I may be an exception to the norm, as I have over 3 weeks worth of bras in rotation and my underbust measures for below a 26 band and I wear a 28 (60) so my bands don’t see that much band tension. That being said, Ewa does go in cycles of “tight” and “loose” bands, so how far the band will stretch varies depending on the current cycle. Since I started buying Ewa bras 2 years ago, I’ve seen TTS to runs large, back to TTS and then runs large again. While the type of material being used on the band is a factor in the band tension, there also are variants within the unstretched measurement so it’s not just a material variation occurring. (That being said, Ewa does use at least two different types of Power mesh to line the bands, as well as the lace lined versions.)

Looking at the photos you linked, my first impression is that this shows the cups are too large. Your band looks like it is supporting well, but the cups are not doing their part in the job. Ewa bras are supposed to give a more rounded mound look*, especially with pendulous breasts, so their design is intended to lift and project. When the cups are too big the cups will droop like you see with the straps off instead of lift and support in unison with the band. As a result, since the cups are not being filled as intended, it will not offer the wire resistance against the band, and result in the band feeling less supportive and looser than it really is (with the correct cup volume.) (*This of course doesn’t apply to those who don’t have Ewa’s targeted breast shape mind you.)

I still feel the 75JJ would be a better choice than a 70K, but you need to go with what you feel will work better for you both now and in the future. You know your body better than anyone, and only you know what the bra feels like on, so trust your body and trust your instincts.

    • 2

i agree teh cups look too big. i have a 75JJ i was thinking of sending her but iir that band was loose on me, too, so i'm sort of hesitant. i also noticed I still have my 32JJ floris! Hesitant because international shipping charges and still hoping i'll lose weight here lol

    • 1

alisa the slump you see is due to the combined effect of the cups being 1 size too large and the band also being a hair loose. That is also the reason your straps are carrying inappropriate amounts of weight. I would not be concerned about the structure of the bra being robust enough--there are bloggers with significantly heavier busts who get really good support in EMs, even ones which are lower-coverage than this, so don't worry! As saltyblackbroad said upthread you will find everything improves in fit when you have a little more tension around the torso/chest because that is how we get support from a bra.
As you have consistently found all 34s to become too loose on you recently whenever you had worn a new bra a few times, I think going down to 70 makes sense. If you had breasts in the 32-34E-G range it would be a different story but with your ribcage size + the bust weight that your bras need to support, a firmer band is a reasonable choice.

    • 2

I tried the bra on again today with my PMS boobs and it feels more supportive now I fill out the cups better.

    • 1

alisa good! I think this shows that with the right sizing, the physics involved mean that the bra design will work as intended and will provide support.

    • dbmamaz On another adventure you told me you were quite busy so I don't want to stress you, but if you still have your 75JJ SF and want to part with it, I'm interested. At least if shipping does not cost an arm and a leg :S.

    • wendybien yes it makes a big difference in fit, the band does also feel less large than before. I still have the straps on the loosest setting but that's how they fit me the best.

Actually the bra is saving my day so far! My boobs are in full PMS mode. I tried to wear my too big 34K Luxe Heart, it's roomy in the cups but the band rides up and it gave me massive neck pain at the end of the day. Today I tried Panache Tango but I couldn't stand it for 1 minute, then I tried Ariza… It tried to kill me, because that bra is so shallow it's supportive but also caused pain in my chest and I had trouble breathing.

I need to wear a bra, or my neck kills me. I need a deep bra for my PMS boobs that does not compress too much, so I took out my SF again and … oh the comfort :) Now I consider keeping it as my comfy PMS bra…

    • Sovavosi I measured the band again, and it stretches to 85cm / 33.4 Inch right now. But keep in mind I only stretch the band carefully on a new bra for the measurements.

    • Everything went well until mid-afternoon the neck pain came back again with a vengeance. Support declined over the day. Oh my… I shouldn't have … but I have no better options :/ tomorrow I have a full day to go through, no decent bra… :( :( :(

    • i still have that FB - the band was a bit loose, but we can try it. I also still have a few 32JJ jasmines - ugg, i really want to go look and see what i have but i lost track today. send me a message?

    65G

    Didn't fit

The first EM bra that I ever tried was this one- in size 70G-and it was much too big in both band and cup. I loved the simplicity of it though. It seemed like a great "workhorse" bra for every day working and running around with my kids.

After trying several BM styles in a 65FF (and busting out of them) and CHP and SM in 65G and having nearly perfect fit, I decided to take another stab at this style - in a 65G - during the Boxing Day Sale.

I am 90% pleased with this bra. I don't think I am going to get perfect due to ... having one breast that is bigger and lower than the other (yes, even after having corrective surgery for taming, that girl is still pushing her friend around lol)

    What don't I like?

I don't like wrinkling in the bottom of the cup. But, it seems that everyone gets it in Sf styles, even Gosia.

I don't like the little lip that the mesh creates at the top of the cup. It's not evident when I stand straight and I'd rather have that than quadding.

The band is TTS - just a slight stretch and it easily fastens on the loosest hook.

The straps are pretty with embroidery and adjust all the way up. Good for me, as I have short roots.

I really think that looks good on you and I don't really see the wrinkle too much.

    • 1

I also have a wrinkle on the SF Iris I have. I think that the bra looks good too.

    • 1

Very pretty. Should be nice for summer too. I don’t see the lip and the wrinkles do appear but don’t seem too bad. I think that you have finally found out that you are a 65G in Ewas now.

    • 3

I think the wrinkle is in part because of the loose-ish fabric over the rigid one used for lining (I don't know how to explain this really) and then in other part because it's less projected at the wire.

    • 1

I laughed so hard when I started trying them on earlier. I was thinking about Strap Gate. When I take them out of the bag, the straps are at half mast. As I was pulling them tighter, I was thinking about what Ewa would say about me wearing a small band and a large cup and pulling up my straps. LOL

    • 1

AprilGoulding Sometimes I wonder if she thinks that small band people can't have large breasts and that Gosia is a one of a kind. o.o

    • 1

Sovavosi - Gosia is big compared to me. Granted, so are her breasts. But I'm 100 pounds (45.5 kg) and 5'3" tall with 65G breasts. The only reason I need a 65 band is because I've done so much weightlifting that my back is broad for my size.
Maybe I should go model for Ewa? LOL She'd HATE me. Every cup projection "issue" would be visible, because I'm so round and firm (my girls are "enhanced"). Maybe customers would like it though. Potential fit "issues" would be easy to gauge. LMAO

    • 1

AprilGoulding I am 5'4" and 60 lbs heavier than you. The only reason I wear a 60 is probably because my "waist" is up in my IMF. Ewa's models are diverse, but nobody with your body shape nor mine. She needs to be exposed to more :)

    • 3

      This looks great on you.

And yes, the base wrinkle is a secret feature Ewa adds to the SF just to mess with us all I swear. ;-) It has to be intended since the majority of us get it on the SF, right?

    Didn't fit

First bra that has ever supported my breasts without collapsing under the weight of them and still be a regular bra not a "support " bra with a shelf built in the lower cup ..so yeah .

It's a peachy color for some reason I thought it looked off white in pictures but that must have been wishful thinking I have beige bra issues lol I have to say ewa does neutral very well offering several shades that are appealing not just that yucky bandaid color most come in .

It really firm band with little give with a layer of powerknit(techsheen) over a layer of power net ... . So this is definitely firm .
The cups are a stable tricot laminated to sheer stable cup lining it looks like creating a very firm and non stretch cup . There is no mechanical give at all so no droop or sag as the day goes on. Though the fabric feels thick it's not hot to wear in this summer weather. The upper cup is power mesh folded over . The straps are a shiny satin look with very little stretch. Small buttons on the gore and on each strap . .

Fit .. I find that the cup measured a bit smaller than I expected so I get a bit of quadding . The band fits as I expected but had I wear an extender to get more room in the cup . I will buy this bra again ..but probably one cup up , maybe two . With no give in the band or cups you need to be spot on .
All in all a great bra one you can put on and wear all day , makes me think about trying the fb line .

    • 3

This bra is an engineering miracle. I have it in beige and I am waiting for a black one. I hope she makes it in more colors and patterns some day.

    • 2

      LOL I saw that!

I wore mine yesterday - it was the third or fourth time, after 2 or 3 washings, and I think it had stretched out slightly, because it did fit better. I also think I'd go up a size if I ordered another. But I cant imagine ordering another unless she got some fun colors or patterns

    • 2

LadyInBlue it is some sort of engineering miracle .

I hope she makes some pretty colors too .

    • wow, I see exactly my shape. from side view cup doesn't look small, on the contrary, it looks like it is too tall and you can not fill it. in those cases I sew the center gore in to turn the wires the way there is less empty space right by the wires, but gives more room at the center to avoid gaping.

    Fits

Wow, I love this bra! Even though my experience with Ewa Michalak bras was fairly limited up to this point (having only tried PL and S styles), I decided to take a chance on this brand new style, and I'm so glad I did! This is one of the best fitting bras I've had in a long time.

First, the construction: The cups are a stiffer, non-stretch material on the bottom, with 2 vertical seams. One seam is pretty much in the center of the cup, and the other is a little bit closer to the gore. The top part of the cup is a stretch mesh, with ... no seam or embellishment at the very top of the cup, so it lays nice and flat - perfect for my tall roots and FoT shape. I can wear a 30 or a 32 UK band, depending on the stretch and I feel this band is perfect for me on the loosest hook. There are 4 sets of hooks, so combined with the fairly firm band, I should get a long time of wear from this bra. The straps are fully adjustable.

Onto the fit: Almost perfect! The gore is a soft tack, but the support is great. The cups are deep enough by the gore to accommodate my center fullness. And, as I mentioned before, the top of the cup lays nice and flat. I wore this to an outdoor art festival in the heat, and it was comfortable and kept my boobs from being a sweaty mess. The pictures I posted are after wearing the bra for 14 hours, and I didn't have to make any major adjustments all day. Any redness around the straps is not due to strap irritation, it's actually sunburn from apparently not applying sunblock well enough by my bikini straps (oops!).

Long story short, this bra is a wonderful feat of bra engineering! I will definitely be getting it in black, and I hope EM makes it in other colors/patterns!

    • Amazing!!!! I just wish it had a shorter cup ;-)

    • 1

Ugh now I really want one. Why must I be so broke? I know myself too. I'll exhaust my pretty options before I consider practical ones like this.

    • 1

center fullness, from EM? haha! Its less coverage than I expected - are you very FOT?

I'm so excited, mine should be here soon.

    • 2

Fits you so well! Love seeing this new style....great review!

    • dbmamaz - I'm fairly full on top, but my bigger problem in most bras is that I have tall roots. As far as center fullness goes, between being close set and having more center fullness, I don't often get a firm tack, but this soft tack is pretty darn good for me!

    • 2

roxannelovesbras - Thank you! I couldn't stop looking down at my boobs all day! :)

    • 3

I guess most women with tall roots are not so FOT. Its interesting to see the variations, to me at least. I'm glad this bra works so well for you

    • 2

I do that too with a well fitting bra! Love it! ❤️

    • 3

dbmamaz - I'm not extremely FoT, but lean more that way. I think my tall roots cause my boobs to act even more FoT than I am. My roots start about an inch below my collarbone. So when I said I was fairly FoT, I probably should have said I'm slightly FoT. I definitely have more fullness above my nipples than below when I bend at a 90 degree angle. I'm still new to a lot of this terminology!

I hope your new SF makes you happy. I find the uplift from the bottom to be phenomenal!

Hard to explain how lovely this bra looks. Most elegant and vavavoom beige bra I've ever owned. I purchased bras one band size up and one cup size up from my long time 65JJ size after gaining weight, with mixed results. This bra seems just too similar in fit to my 65JJ Sfs. It will work, however.

This bra is not owned any more

Sorry the band is so small. It looks like the rouge seamstress strikes again!
It looks lovely and hopefully it will soften up with wear.

My SF Glad is brutally tight too. It's a 65, just like my Maryna, but it's a lot tighter. I can't wear it 2 days in a row (not that I'd ever be so inclined to do that anyway lol) I also find the mesh top looser than the lace on the Maryna. Consistently inconsistent :/ .

    • I wore it today with the extender for about 7 hours and the band was actually hurting me. I feel betrayed!

      That is horrible! Sorry. :-(
Ewa's consistently inconsistent is getting out of hand......

Not all her fault… I put on 10 lbs the latter half of last year

While that can effect fit, this is up a band from your regular size and logically should fit. A 70 band should stretch to more than 31" regardless, especially since several of the 60 bands by Ewa do. Seriously, this isn't your fault.

    Fits

This is my first SF and I think that this may be the first beige bra I've ever owned. Usually they are so tan that it isn't a nude on me so I never saw the point. But this bra is very light and I think it fits my skin tone almost perfectly. It's not just a plain basic bra either, I actually find it quite beautiful and like kinda sexy? It reminds me of what a really classy pinup would wear. I read another review that compared it to a sophisticated silk wedding dress and I agree with that too.

It also fits me nearly perfect, so ... that also may also be why I like it so much. The band is a tiny bit tight compared to others in this size but I think it will be perfect after a few wears and I plan on losing a little weight anyway so I don't want it to run on the larger side. The wires are perfect and encase my breasts exactly. The gore tacks very hard and is kind of almost going into my sternum, but I have a slightly deformed rib cage and have this problem a lot. I don't see it being to much of an issue with this bra, I think it will loosen up and the little piece of twisted fabric covering the gore actually adds a lot of comfort. The shape is really nice. I think it a little more rounded and minimized than the bm, and is similar to the sm. My favorite part is the support that this thing gives me, holy cow! The fabric kind of suction cupped around my boobs like cling wrap or something, They are perfectly encased and supported from all angles and I love it.
