I ordered this bra after I had found the 65E too big in the cups for me.
Bra description:
A sexy, delicate-looking bra with sheer, all-lace cups. The lace is black with a fine gold thread outlining the pattern. Three pale gold bows adorn the centre gore and the points were cups and straps connect. Scalloped elastic runs along the top and bottom edges of the wings and continues along the entire lower edge of the bra. The straps are made of soft, but quite sturdy elastic with decorative loops along the edges.
Oddly enough there are some differences between this 65DD and the 65E version that make me less smitten ... with it this one than I was with the other: the strap adjusters and connectors on this 65DD are silver-coloured and look thinner than the black ones on the 65E. To be honest, even though they are probably good quality findings, I really don't like the look of them and as I'm extremely wary of uncoated metal against my skin I'm definitely going to replace them -- silver adjusters on a black and gold bra is just plain wrong, in my opinion. Secondly, although I wasn't a fan of the gold bows on the first bra, on this bra they are also decidedly cheaper looking. They are just less well-made, less regular, partly made out of narrower ribbon (the ones on the straps -- in hindsight, maybe this is actually a good thing), and lack the two pearl beads that gave the bows on the 65E just a little more 'cachet'. In short: appearance-wise I am somewhat disappointed -- the whole thing just looks less fancy than the 65E I tried before.
Bra fit:
The short version: IT FITS! What's more, it fits BOTH my breasts -- due to breastfeeding they were particularly asymmetrical when I tried this size on first time -- without gaping, wrinkling, or cutting in anywhere. It gives a great shape: slightly lifted and perfectly round, yet my breasts still feel soft and natural -- easily the best shape I've ever had in any non-padded bra! The cups are VERY low cut and open on top so the nipple on my larger breast is only just covered, but the good thing is that the fits of the cups really is extremely forgiving. The band is snug without feeling tight (it's quite stretchy though) and although the wires are narrower than what I'm used to, they are very comfortable, both width and length-wise, and don't interfere with my breast tissue at all. The strap placement is quite possibly the most comfortable I've ever experienced as I find most bras too small in the 'armhole' and too wide in the cups/straps. This bra doesn't affect my range of movement at all. Nothing pokes or pinches, chafes or cuts, although I haven't yet worn it long enough to vouch for absolute perfection.
Conclusion:
This is definitely a keeper and quite probably the first in an entire series of HM bras that will be filling my dresser soon. I've long been looking for a non-padded bra that gives me good shape and lift and I think I've finally found one that truly works for me. This bra gives me the breasts I've always wanted and for the time being I don't think I have to look any further. I just hope that what seems to me like a 'quality slip' has only affected this particular bra and isn't extending to all Ewa Michalak bras and models ... I was so impressed with what I've seen of this brand so far that the finishing on this particular bra was a tiny bit of a let-down.
