This is another learning bra from the listings. I had looked at it once before, but lost out on the listing because I was still new with the sizes/sizing and figuring out what works for me and unsure of it, so when I saw it again, I decided that I should go for it. I also really wanted a nice classic but not boring black bra.
My shape: narrowish roots that lean towards being average or tallish but also deflated they're so functionally short; soft and malleable tissue that's pendulous and projected; even to fob and center full; unsupported is splayed and looks average to wide set, but ... supported they're more close set; I need more projection at wire with average projection at the apex
Back to the review now...
This one came with cookies (my Pl Carmen has pockets but didn't come with them) so it was the first time that I've had the chance to play with them. My pictures show both options, beginning with them in. With the cookies in, I have great cleavage and shape but I do have some spillover. It's not major quadboobs but it's also more than puffing, if you know what I mean. I'd been concerned with the cookies maybe making the bra too shallow and cause it to slip with wear, but after a few hours of wear, my wire marks didn't indicate slipping even if it felt like it was. Removing the cookies does give me a bit more room in the cup, but the inner half of cup (nipples to gore) still has a little spilling over, and I am not sure if it's just my soft, center full tissue or if I need a 70F instead. For this reason, the fit check indicates that the bra doesn't fit.
The bra has a lot of nice details. The cups are a 3 part padded matte black fabric. The gore and side wings are black lace with a beige mesh lining underneath so it looks sheer but it's not quite. The gore has a small black bow with a charm of diamantés in a circle. In my circle, the 6 o'clock one is missing from previous ownership. It's barely noticeable. The band is a smooth black fabric and there are 4 rows/columns of 2 hooks.
The fit is interesting. I mentioned above that the cookies really influence the fit, and I'm not sure if I need a cup size larger. I'm not sure how it is going to be when my period is near, but as soon as my body decides to finally freaking ovulate (over 30 days in the cycle so far which is twice as long as usual...grrr), I'll know. I also feel like the upper part of the cup is a bit closed, as it seems to cradle the top of my breasts a bit. But could it be too closed that it's cutting into my tissue? The gore is nice and low. The band seems ok. It's a bit stretchy and I am good with either of the tightest 2 hooks (3rd and 4th) which is fairly consistent with the Pl Carmen in a 70E. Strap placement is a bit wide but borderline, and not unexpected.
Overall I like the bra. It's going to be a great daily bra that is a wee bit above basic. As it's black with black lace, I was able to find a few nice coordinating panties from La Senza. I have a bikini and hipster with lace inserts at the hip (same style but two different cuts), and a hipster with a stretchy lace insert/panel at the top of the front. I included the pics of those, but because it's sheer black lace on the black panties, I placed my arm/hand through the lace to show it better.
I'm definitely game for another S, but I'm not sure if I am going to try it in a larger cup or not. I'll have to get it measured soon and see if this one is tts in the cup or not.

A lot of people like to have some breast tissue mounding up above the bra a little bit like that, its more of a preference than a right-or-wrong, I think. For me, in the S, I usually need to pull some of my breast tissue in to the outer edge of the cups in order to fit better - they dont allow a lot of room for center fullness, and my boobs will start pushing the gore down if I dont banish them to the outside
