  1. This is another learning bra from the listings. I had looked at it once before, but lost out on the listing because I was still new with the sizes/sizing and figuring out what works for me and unsure of it, so when I saw it again, I decided that I should go for it. I also really wanted a nice classic but not boring black bra.

My shape: narrowish roots that lean towards being average or tallish but also deflated they're so functionally short; soft and malleable tissue that's pendulous and projected; even to fob and center full; unsupported is splayed and looks average to wide set, but ... supported they're more close set; I need more projection at wire with average projection at the apex

    Back to the review now...

This one came with cookies (my Pl Carmen has pockets but didn't come with them) so it was the first time that I've had the chance to play with them. My pictures show both options, beginning with them in. With the cookies in, I have great cleavage and shape but I do have some spillover. It's not major quadboobs but it's also more than puffing, if you know what I mean. I'd been concerned with the cookies maybe making the bra too shallow and cause it to slip with wear, but after a few hours of wear, my wire marks didn't indicate slipping even if it felt like it was. Removing the cookies does give me a bit more room in the cup, but the inner half of cup (nipples to gore) still has a little spilling over, and I am not sure if it's just my soft, center full tissue or if I need a 70F instead. For this reason, the fit check indicates that the bra doesn't fit.

The bra has a lot of nice details. The cups are a 3 part padded matte black fabric. The gore and side wings are black lace with a beige mesh lining underneath so it looks sheer but it's not quite. The gore has a small black bow with a charm of diamantés in a circle. In my circle, the 6 o'clock one is missing from previous ownership. It's barely noticeable. The band is a smooth black fabric and there are 4 rows/columns of 2 hooks.

The fit is interesting. I mentioned above that the cookies really influence the fit, and I'm not sure if I need a cup size larger. I'm not sure how it is going to be when my period is near, but as soon as my body decides to finally freaking ovulate (over 30 days in the cycle so far which is twice as long as usual...grrr), I'll know. I also feel like the upper part of the cup is a bit closed, as it seems to cradle the top of my breasts a bit. But could it be too closed that it's cutting into my tissue? The gore is nice and low. The band seems ok. It's a bit stretchy and I am good with either of the tightest 2 hooks (3rd and 4th) which is fairly consistent with the Pl Carmen in a 70E. Strap placement is a bit wide but borderline, and not unexpected.

Overall I like the bra. It's going to be a great daily bra that is a wee bit above basic. As it's black with black lace, I was able to find a few nice coordinating panties from La Senza. I have a bikini and hipster with lace inserts at the hip (same style but two different cuts), and a hipster with a stretchy lace insert/panel at the top of the front. I included the pics of those, but because it's sheer black lace on the black panties, I placed my arm/hand through the lace to show it better.

I'm definitely game for another S, but I'm not sure if I am going to try it in a larger cup or not. I'll have to get it measured soon and see if this one is tts in the cup or not.

    Thanks for reading!

A lot of people like to have some breast tissue mounding up above the bra a little bit like that, its more of a preference than a right-or-wrong, I think. For me, in the S, I usually need to pull some of my breast tissue in to the outer edge of the cups in order to fit better - they dont allow a lot of room for center fullness, and my boobs will start pushing the gore down if I dont banish them to the outside

    • Thanks dbmamaz I might need to try a bit of reverse scooping to see how it is. I'm typically ok with a little bit of puffing but like I said, this is borderline puffing and quadding. And when my boobs swell before my period, it will be worse. But it's not visible under clothes unless you really look. So it's probably ok. I worry that the 70F is going to be too big and gape.

    • I think its look darn good! Sometimes I place my fingers in by the gore under the cup and smooth/push my breast tissue along the edge of the cup. This may do the trick for you. But I agree that the 70F would like end up gaping more then you like, and you may be forced to wear it with the inserts instead of having the choice to do so.

    • Thanks LeProfessor. I’m doing it and I think it’s a bit of a help. If I find a good 65FF/70F for super cheap, I might try it and reserve it for period week. And for all I know, this one might run a titch small in the cup.

The S shape of Ewa Michalak bras is just not flattering for my breast shape. I have extremely projected, short & high roots. Because of my high roots, the wires dig into my armpits. That's so unfortunate. The top of the cup is just kinda sticking up on its own. It looks a bit awkward under a tshirt. This did help me find a good size range for myself, though. The 95 band is nice & I could see being able to wear it regularly. To be frank, a bra with this style would probably turn into a swamp. It's just too much fabric for a hot climate.

    • Oh no, if you have short roots I don't know if the FB style will work for you?
IDK, I would check the measurements.
I just assume the cups are taller on FB? IDK.
Are you working with an online bra fitter at Levana bratique?

there's a reddit forum called running out of letters that is focused on people with larger cup sizes finding ABTFs. https://www.reddit.com/r/RunningOutOfLetters/

Of course, there is always custom bra makers but I would exhaust off the rack options first, obvi. : ) but not cheap by any means, unfortunately.

BraOdyssey I'll have to look into the height on the FB models. I think the wing height is going to be more of an issue, if I had to guess. Seems to be a bigger issue since my roots are so high up. I'll keep working on it, though. I have a lot more measurements to upload for bras that def don't fit, but I want to get those measurements up before I return them, so if you're following along, just know ahead of time that they won't fit. I did find (spoiler) a bra that fits well enough that I'm keeping it to hold me over til I can figure out if I can custom order from EW in my actual size, or if I have to look into other options. The one I found is a 100GG in EW's SF style, but I think I really need a 95J SF. I also need to try at least one BM, since I heard they have better immediate projection.
I checked out that RunningOutOfLetters subreddit briefly, but got a bit intimidated. I don't think I have quite that much tissue, but I'll check it out again. I'm hoping to not have to go the custom route. At that point, I might as well learn how to make one myself.
Thanks for following along, it makes me feel less alone! ♥

    • No worries, I follow the brand "Ewa Michalak" and so when you write a review and tag "Ewa Michalak" it shows up in my feed. Lol.

In my experience, Ewa Michalak BM does have lots of immediate projection; I do like that style, but we could be different shapes, who knows. Bras are so complex!

S style Ewa Michalak is not for me. I really don't like padded or molded cups. These have removable cookies for asymmetry, so that's cool for those who want that. I have very short roots, so this style is not flattering for me. This style is probably more suited to those with tall roots or more shallow breast tissue. I need more projection and some stretch lace at the top. The fabric is very soft and comfortable, though. If it weren't a shape mismatch, I'd be inclined to keep it, but the wires are a bit tall on the sides, as well. They dig into my armpits. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I have high roots, as well, so people with average root height will most likely not have to worry about this.

I’m so close to finding a good bra, but not at the same time!

This S Szykuś bra is the 2nd “S” cut bra that I’ve tried from EM, but if the 1st in my new size.

I went with a 70HH with the idea that my true size is 32GG, but I’m finding that may not be the case. The 70HH is slightly too small, I think, but the band is too stretchy as well. When I have it on the first set of hooks, the gore floats about 2 fingers away and the cups gape at the top. If I tighten to the 3rd set of hooks, ... the gore is only 1 finger away and the cups barely gape anymore! I’m hoping to try a 65J and 65JJ if I can. Once I get a good size figured out for this, I’m hoping to figure out what size I would need for unlined EM bras in my new size.

The S Szykuś is a black bra with lace detailing on the band. It’s made with very soft material. I wouldn’t describe it as nylon, it’s more of a clothing type fabric (kinda like the kind that people call “buttery soft” iykyk). The band is super stretchy. The S cut by EM is advertised as being for those with softer tissue (like me!) to have a fuller look while staying in the “frame of the body.” The strap are not too wide and they adjust fine. The cups seem fairly deep from what I can tell, but I haven’t measured yet as of this writing.

Like I said earlier, I’m hoping to find a good fit with this bra! It has probably been the closest I’ve ever come to wearing a bra with molded cups in years.

    • wow, almost perfection!
I"m actually surprised you say that this black band is loose, usually with all my dark bra, they're tighter. (sometimes it just depends though)
Perhaps Ewa Michalak is not making bands as tight as she used to?
65J or 65JJ? Who knew that would be the correct size in 32GG UK.

    • BraOdyssey yeah, but don’t forget I have floppy windsock boobs, so they probably need more room. 🤣 I’m definitely thinking I’m a 32H for most bras (even though I have yet to find one that fits properly! 😠)

  6. I absolutely love this bra. Very nice, very well made simple black bra. The cups are smooth and looks fine under a shirt, the cups don't come up too high on my chest either which is often a problem for my root height. I have pendulous, deflated breasts (thanks motherhood!) with very soft tissue, short and fairly narrow roots. The cups are projected enough so that it provides a nice forward and uplifted look. The wires are narrow enough so that they don't reach into my sides and leave empty space between my breast tissue and the wires. This is definitely my best fitting bra. I measure at a 32F (UK), my under bust measuring at exactly 32 in. I feel the band is stretchy enough to comfortably fit around my torso while still being firm enough for support, which is something I was concerned about as I had heard that some Polish bras don't have much give in the band.

Oops you spelled shirt without the "r" just a heads up . I have the same bra and breast shape it does do very nice things for the figure doesn't it.

Oh no haha I fixed it. It really does! This is my first bra that fit perfect in both projection and wires.

My first S style from Ewa! Looks gorgeous on, but only fits with cookies, which feels like more volume than I'd prefer in most everyday situations. Subtle but beautiful detailing with small bows where straps meet cups and charm accent at gore. Front portion of band under and around cups is black lace over caramel fabric. Without cookies, the cup for my larger boob has major gapping and the slight shallowness is more pronounced. Would like to try this in 75FF or 75F - would have ordered but were out of stock at Levana, crossing my fingers for a restock soon!

Beautiful padded black bra. Provides amazing cleavage - particularly when cookies are used (included).

The lace on the gore, bridge and wings is heavily textured and laid over beige knitwear. Smooth fit under clothing.

    • I love this style. Do you feel like it’s a small fit compared with other 65G S bras?

    • Nope. Same as my S Marzipan.

    • Darn. My 65FF is a better fit as I can wear without the cookies and without sacrificing the depth.

Lovely bra! Workmanship is excellent. Very sturdily built. Band is semi-stretchy and fit okay. Unfortunately, the cups were a tad too small... the whole bra felt like it was crushing me! I would've been better off with an 80E. For reference, I am quite a consistent size 34E with firm(er) breast tissue.
