SF Porto #1485 *Custom style* 60L

SF Porto is a custom SF, designed in the S Porto pattern. I have S Porto in 60KK and 60L, as well as BM Porto in 60KK. I really love the look of S Porto, but not the fit it gives on my body, so I asked if I could get a BM or SF with that patterned bottom cup, and Kaśka said yes to the SF.

The price for this one was a bit of a shocker, as the S Porto costs 229pln and this one 309pln, which at the time of purchase equaled $91.10 USD not including shipping. That is an ... 80PLN fee for the custom style which is double the typical price to date of 40-60PLN. Needless to say I still ordered it (Happy V-Day present from hubby) haha.

    Now for the measurements:
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.

The band measures 22.88” and stretches to a max of 29”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12.25”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 14”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

Cup height is 9.5” and 6.15” wide, with the gore at 4” tall and 0.63” wide. The wing is 4.4”.

I was really nervous when I measured the depth, as this is lower than most of my 60KK SFs, which are too small in the cup. Yet by magic or miracle, the cup construction makes this bra actually fit, so I can’t complain. The gore does sit 2 fingers off my sternum but I don’t see any quadding and the lace doesn’t look too tensed aside from at the center. The base felt a bit constrictive, and as with most SFs, there is wrinkling at the bottom of the cup, but this seems to be a signature aspect of the style, haha, as even Ewa models have it. ☺ The straps are wide set, but didn’t feel terrible while wearing for a few minutes. I will update the fit if any assumptions change after wear.

I love the look, even better than the S Porto since it doesn’t have that black horizontal ribbon on the cup. It is such a gorgeous bra, photos do not do it justice at all.

Leilani The only reason you really need is that you deserve it! It's time to treat yourself to a new bra, right? :-D

      MamaPagan I like your logic!!!

I love this logic, and I know it's right. But I have almost 20 bras in my drawer and they all fit well - and will keep doing so as I gain and lose weight everywhere but on my breasts. So I (usually, I do have exceptions) try to buy a new one for every bra worn to death. Usually I'm fine with that, just sometimes there are too many beautiful options. I should not complain at all, I guess ;)
